  Comments: Ocean Song Beach House was perfect for what we needed. Skye was very welcoming and accommodating. This house is located close to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. Other great things are the quietness of the neighborhood & community and the privacy was awesome. The cottage was about what you'd expect from a vintage beach home. I would recommend this cute little home to anyone that has a laid back attitude, likes to get away from the crowds and is ready for relaxing on the beach. Skye provides beach chairs, boogie boards and other beach necessities that we used a lot.

Very close to an absolutely wonderful beach. This was a wonderful place to stay and Skye was a wonderful host.

  Comments: Skye met us upon arrival and showed my family around and made us feel welcome from the start. The neighborhood was a quiet and friendly area. The beach is about a 2 minute walk past 4 homes. The property is gated and private. The beautiful beach is quiet and local. My kids and I enjoyed boogie boarding and body surfing.

  Comments: Being sent to Hawaii on a work trip was the perfect opportunity to tie-in a family vacay. But, when work in Honolulu was done we knew we would want to get out of the city and really enjoy all the Oahu had to offer. So, after doing a lot of pre-trip comparisons to properties across the entire island, we chose Skye's Ocean Song beach house. We found the Waimanalo area to be a little gem - less-crowded than Kailu and the popular North Shore, while allowing easy access to them. And, we found this property to be the perfect base within Waimanalo. Some highlights: * A one minute walk from this property will put you on the sand of Waimanalo Beach. It is not private but very private 'feeling'. It was easy to take in a few sunrises and to jump in & out of the water without involving car rides. The beach itself was perfect for body-boarding with strong waves that break a little to close to shore for surfing. Yet, there was an excellent snorkel spot a mere two miles away (great recommendation from Skye). This property came generously equipped with boards, mats, an umbrella, and even beach towels. It will cut down on what you will have to spend. * This is a multi-unit property yet was a true 'entire property' reservation. We had our own parking, our own yard, our own patio, and our own gas grill - something we put to use multiple times to save $ and time. The Ocean Song was is the perfect setting for the four of us, enough room and well-equipped. * Skye was the perfect hostess - accessible, knowledgeable, and eager to help. She seemed genuinely interested in us having the most enjoyment possible. If one was to search for a downside in staying here, it might be the lack of immediate access to conveniences. Yet, this is exactly why we chose this property. The area is not over-developed. All of the grocery and other needs you may have can be found in a several minute car ride to Kailu. Then, you'll come back and be glad you did. All told, we LOVED our stay here. The biggest disappointment was leaving. My first day back home and at work went okay. I did lay under my desk in a fetal position and cry for two hours. After that it was fine.

  Comments: Our group of four had a fantastic stay at Skye's place in Waimanalo. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and the location was one of the best in Oahu. A stone's throw from the beach! Skye was an organised and attentive host, and gave us some great advice for local dining. Highly recommend.

  Comments: I would give five star to this lovely house. Beach is just one minute walk and very beautiful and not crowded. My family tried to avoid crowded Waikiki downtown and looked for calm and peaceful place. It’s 100% match. Location also perfect. Down to Waikiki and up to Kualoa Ranch, PCC and north shore. Hanauma bay is just 15min to drive. Moreover, Skye is super kind and has warm heart. She’s perfect host. I can recommend this house to my relatives and close friends in Korea. .Comments in Korean. 어머님 70세 생신을 기념한 가족여행이었는데, 와이키키는 너무 복잡해서 뭔가 조용한 장소를 찾았습니다. 해변이 너무나 멋지고 조용합니다. 관광하기위한 위치 조건도 아주 좋았습니다. 노스쇼어를 포함한 대부분의 관광지로 이동하는데 최적의 위치 였습니다. 집도 깨끗한 상태여서 가족 모두가 만족했습니다. 조용한 가족여행을 준비중이시라면 최적의 장소일듯 합니다.

  Comments: Ocean Song Beach House was nicely decorated and it was located within a short walk to the lovely Waimanalo Beach. Skye was a hospitable host, making sure her home had plenty of beach towels, chairs, beach umbrella, clothes washer, and clothes dryer. A variety of magazines and games were also available for indoor family time. Skye's beach home has access to a part of Waimanalo Beach that is simply gorgeous, yet almost private. We enjoyed our experience and recommend others try this little gem of a beach house!

Very clean. Location and access to wonderful windward beach (best on island) was terrific. Skye is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend...two thumbs up!

  Comments: After the weariness of travel there was no better way to be welcomed to the island of Oahu than ushered in by Skye herself to her wonderful lodging. The home was perfectly clean, and enormously welcoming and cozy, not to mention gorgeously decorated. From fresh plumeria in the bathroom, to a shelf of page turners for your beach going there are lovely additions and helpful items in every inch of this bit of paradise. Besides the helpful travel guides in house, Skye is in fact the best guide of them all. Every tip she gave ended up as the highlights of the trip (From the best shrimp shack a few blocks away, to a beautiful local concert that was truly locals only). The beach is a stone's throw and it is the best beach I've visited on Oahu. The sand is like flour, the waves are calm (perfect for boogie boarding), and it was almost entirely empty each time we went. The outdoor shower makes cleaning up after a breeze as well. I was expecting a nice stay at an airbnb, I wasn't expecting the whole wonderful package that is a stay at Skye's. It's a real home away from home feeling. Mahalo, Skye!

  Comments: The location is great! A quick walk to the most beautiful beaches with strongest waves. We felt like locals in that area. Skye was a great host and very helpful with local suggestions. The house wasn't quite as expected though. The entire house is so hot. Take your time away from the house when you can. There are air conditioners in 2 rooms. This house states that there is room for 5 but one guest had to sleep on the couch. The other room was locked up and not accessible to guests. Overall, of course we had a great trip. It was not worth the amount paid before check-in and then the added "hotel fee" that is due when you arrive.

The house was beautiful and provided everything we needed for our trip. She even covered our beds and bathrooms with flowers to greet us!!

  Comments: Everything was as described. Just a very short distance to the beach! It was pretty windy the first day we arrived and not really swimmable but after that things calmed down. Plenty of room for two couples. Air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well in those rooms, very comfortable!

  Comments: The cottage is located 40 minutes ride away from the turistic areas of Honolulu. The landscape is breathtaking. The cottage itself cozy laid back Hawaiian style. 3 minutes walk from the stunning beach. Skye our host was extremely welcoming and helpful. Close to shopping amenities and restaurants in Kailua town. The local Whole Foods first class. You definitely need a car to get by. The nearby sea life research park is well worth a visit especially if you have kids. Their luau was beautifully located by the sea and the show entertaining and food fresh and tasteful. Just one “fyi” There was a generator located right outside the master bedroom. So you may want to bring earplugs. Overall a great stay and recommendable.

  Comments: Expect to be amazed at how beautiful the area is in and around Waimānalo. The white sands, blue, blue, water and almost deserted beach was just what we needed! The house is cute, clean, cozy and stocked with everything you’ll need for a fun-filled adventure. Skye was a wonderful, informative and gracious host. We had such a great time, we are already planning our next trip!

  Comments: Skye was very warm during the booking process. As soon as we had questions, put politely, about the unorthodox booking process, however Skye became suddenly hostile. This was. Very unpleasant experience I have never had during an Airbnb stay. Skye puts an added tax at the bottom of her description of the bungalow. You will not see it unless you read right to the end of the lengthy description. It does not appear on the ‘additional prices’, so it is very easy to miss. She only notified me about this extra substantial amount of money she wants in cash on top of the Airbnb fee once the bungalow was paid for in full and could not be cancelled. The worst of it though was she in fact sought to charge me even double this extra amount when she sent me a rental agreement after my reservation for almost $400. When I questioned her about this new arbitrary amount, which thank goodness I did instead of just paying it, she said it must have been an error. When I complained to Airbnb about all this conduct the person she had communicated with told me that Skye was so aggressive to her she was left trembling. I know that people have had good experiences with Skye, just beware of getting on her wrong side or questioning her questionable methods. Also the house is far less private or close to the beach than the pictures misleadingly imply. It is attached to the main house and you are very much living in Skye’s shadow do to speak (see above). In general the house feels very much in the middle of suburbia.

  Comments: Awesome place and awesome host. There are many highlights, but at the top is the amazingly beautiful and totally uncrowded beach a half block from this place....I think it’s the best on the island. The accommodations and host (Skye) are amazing too...you can’t help but relax and soak up the aloha spirit here. Although this is a relaxed area, away from the bustle of Honolulu (great for families...we have an 8 yr old who loved it) you can still get to good restaurants, bars, shops, and other amenities on the Windward side easily from here if you’d like...e.g. Kialua is 15 minutes. Highly recommend.
