Neighborhood Overview: Barra da Tijuca is a great choice for travellers interested in Sand Beaches, Beach and Nature. Barra da Tijuca is the biggest sand beach (15km) of Rio de Janeiro and one of the hottest neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro, if not the hottest. Located approximately ten miles west of Copacabana, Barra, as the locals call their home, is a Brazilian beach neighborhood that has a decidedly American feel. If you want to meet native people go directly to barra da tijuca beach, on which tourist could be sometimes a rare treasure. Spending time at the beach and seeing what the local restaurants have to offer are just two of the options for things to do in Barra. This is also an excellent shopping destination. On a Barra da Tijuca shopping spree, you can hit the largest shopping mall in Latin America, visit any number of smaller shopping malls, and check out the goods at a variety of upscale boutiques or specialty stores. Transit: Free parking possible for 1 vehicle within the building BUT you need to ask availability BEFORE booking. 29 km from Tom Jobim International Airport. 15' from the flat to Olympics Pavilhão center by bus. Options numbers 332 or 613. Accessible by car/taxi (Way takes 1 hour) You can reach the flat by public transport from the airport (train). It takes 40 minutes. Take the BRT at galeao airport to barra da tijuca. Exit at Alvorada station and take an other BRT to "Madureira Parador" direction. Exit at Pedro Correia. The flat is located in the building knowed by Promenade. It is 5 minutes walking from Pedro Correia stop. For security comfortable reasons, we do not recommend guest coming from the central bus station or the airport to reach our flat by bus. It can takes too long. You must change up to 4 times and it maybe not safe. Far way 20 minutes driving distance from the barra da tijuca beach. 5.5 km from Rio Centro Convention Centre. 23.5 km from Maracanã Stadium and 29 km from Tom J

Interaction: Possible by email and by phone, if necessary. The flat is our second residence in Brazil , we are often out. I can not unfortunately welcome our guest personally BUT we have reception 24h. We speak Portuguese, French and English. We offer chekin and chek out at any time for your best convenience.

House Rules: 1) Smoking only in the veranda. 2) Pets and smoking are not allowed. 3)PLEASE turn off air conditioner when you go out. 4) One cleaning per week included in the price, if you book for a whole week (7 nights), or more. Extra cleaning during a stay lesser than 7 nights, is under your charge! If you need extra cleaning we must know it to book for you. Be aware that ONLY the personal from the governance of the building are allowed to clean the flat. FYI the flat is equipped with a washing machine and cleaning products. You will pay the flat in EUR € currency. Possibility to pay in US $ or local currency (R$). For that request the exchange rate.
