Summary: Lanikai means "heavenly water". This studio is only a couple of hundred feet from one of the best beaches in the world. It is perfect for getting away from the madness of Waikiki. Come relax in our spacious studio with a king size bed, cooking appliances & utensils, private bath, SMART TV, free WiFi & beach accessories. You even have a private lanai. An additional 14.962% tax and $80 cash cleaning fee due upon arrival. Children must be 12 years old. NO CABLE TV; only SMART TV.

Space: Our private, non-smoking studios are quiet and spacious (approx. 350 sq. ft + outside space). Our units are designed with private entries and the Interiors are designed with lots of windows, ceramic tile or carpeting with ceiling fans to make for a cool and comfortable ambiance but are also equipped with A/C, if needed. All our accommodations are completely furnished with king size bed and either a sleeper sofa or futon. They include cooking appliances (2 burner hotplate, microwave, toaster & coffeemaker) and utensils Each room has it’s own private bath with tub/shower combo, blow dryer, towels and linens, cable TV, secure wireless internet access, free on-site parking and beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas & beach towels). We do not provide laundry facilities, however, there are several laundromats nearby in Kailua Town. We provide fresh linens once a week and towels upon request; all other housekeeping is provided by the guest.

Neighborhood Overview: Lanikai is a residential area. We are located on a one way street with a bike trail to one side. The beach is only a few hundred feet away. We don't even bother with shoes.

Notes: Hawaii State Govt tax of 14.962% (subject to change) of room total is due to owner upon check-in. Payable by cash or credit card (Visa, M/C or Discover). $80.00 CLEANING FEE IS DUE IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL.

Transit: Although Oahu has a wonderful bus system (The Bus) luggage larger than a small carry on is not allowed. Car rental is recommended, or you can take a shuttle and rent a car at Enterprise or a bicycle once in Kailua.

Access:

Interaction: We believe it is important to welcome our guests in person as this is often the only time we interact, but we are readily available any time for questions or concerns. On the rare occasion we cannot be on site, we leave directions and information until we can meet in person.

House Rules: Due to strict neighborhood codes & covenants, our vacation rentals are for the sole use of the registered guests. For the quiet enjoyment of other guests as well as the neighbors, no gatherings, parties or loud music on the premises are allowed. Children must be at least 8 years old. PLEASE NOTE: NO SMOKING IN OR AROUND PROPERTY.

    Comments: Eva's place was everything that we expected and so much more! The location is just perfect, two steps from the most beautiful beach one could imagine. Mary, who takes care of the apartment, is super friendly, totally flexible regarding checkins/outs and extremely helpful as to places to go and stuff to see. The apartment is very comfortble, has a beautiful private garden, and is really quiet. Our stay at Lanikai was just amazing and we are definitely coming back soon!

    Comments: A wonderful location only metres from Lanikai Beach. Mary was a wonderful host, going out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and oriented to the area. The accommodation was very comfortable. Having two main areas in the apartment allowed for space during the stay. The kitchen area enabled us to cook some nights, rather than needing to head into nearby Kailua. As we'd planned to spend our week on the beach we didn't organise a car; though for those wanting to travel around the area and beyond, a car would be advisable due to the infrequency with which the bus runs and what can be large waits when transiting between busses.

    Comments: It’s not a materialistic hotel, it’s the perfect Hawaii stay. I lived in Hawaii over 10 years and came back for a visit and it was perfect. The perfect place to stay and the price and location are unbeatable. I will stay here again.

    Comments: My sister and I loved staying at Lanikai studios. This was exactly what we were looking for on this vacation. The apartment is literally 3 houses down from the entrance to Lanikai beach, so about a 2 minute walk. Mary was a great host and made us feel right at home. We knew that if anything came up, she would be there to help us, but since nothing came up, we mostly kept to ourselves. I wanted a relaxing vacation away and thus place hit the spot. I would definitely recommend Lanikai studios to anyone and will definitely stay again if I am every back in Lanikai!

    Comments: As the other comment stated, if you are looking for a quiet place near the beach, this is it! 30 second walk to the beach can’t be beat. Place was clean and cute with a nice balcony and little kitchen area. Our stay was fantastic, only minor complaint would be that the a/c could have worked a little better as it was stifling while we were there! All in all great stay.

    Comments: Best part about this place is that it’s right across the street from the beach and that was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, for the price and location of the Airbnb, we were expecting nicer. While the unit itself worked for our stay, it felt run down, sort of a motel feel to it. Also, the shower didn’t drain until about 10 minutes after showering and the flush of the toilet was loud enough to hear outside. Bed was comfortable and the hot plate worked well enough for us to cook everyday, and again, being right across from the beach was amazing. Our host was friendly and easily reachable for questions. The property also has beach toys, chairs and umbrellas, which is awesome! But like I said, for the price and location, we were expecting a much nicer place. Overall though, would stay here again. Mahalo!

    Comments: Great location with the beach access just steps from the front gate. Enjoyed this quiet retreat very much with its private second floor lanai looking over the lush green back yard. Could hear the birds and geckos every day. And see the full moon rising and setting. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make a hot breakfast and simple meals for lunch and dinner.
