Description: I have a spacious 1 BR Apartment, with a full Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom. On the Upper West Side of Harlem, near A,B,C,D & 1 trains. There is closet and drawer space for clothes You will have the Whole apartment to yourself. There is a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom for 2 people and a Futon in the living room for a 3rd person (if needed) Like much of New York, my neighborhood is quite diverse and safe. You will find a number of inexpensive and well-established shops and grocery stores, as well as a number of "newer"-styled restaurants and eateries. As stated before, I am near the A,B,C,D & 1 trains - A HUGE PLUS for getting to Midtown quickly!

Neighborhood Overview: Like much of New York, my neighborhood is quite diverse and safe. You will find a number of inexpensive and well-established shops and grocery stores, as well as a number of "newer"-styled restaurants and eateries.

Notes:

Transit: As stated before, I am near the A,B,C,D & 1 trains - A HUGE PLUS for getting to Midtown quickly!

Access: You will have the Whole apartment to yourself. There is a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom for 2 people and a Futon in the living room for a 3rd person (if needed)

Comments: Stephen was a very solicitous and accomodating host. He was proactive about communication and made sure I felt at home before heading out. A great, cozy, clean space one block away from local eateries and laundry. I would definitely recommend staying!

Comments: Loved my experience. Stephen was always reachable. I checked in with him and he gave me a tour and answered any questions I had. He recommended places to eat. His place was neat, clean and close to transportation. I would definitely recommend it to others and would stay here again myself .

Comments: For around 70 dollars... it's just okay. I feel like I could have got more for my money, but it was because the building is old and smells very strong of cat urine and dead mice. The apartment itself WAS clean and true to description, but the smell was so strong, it just makes you feel dirty. Also, there is a bit of a security issue. The front doors to the building don't lock and anyone can just walk in off the street. Then again, this is NYC, it's more common than not for old buildings have these issues because they are neglected by the owners. I lived in Harlem for 5 years and definitely experienced that before.

Comments: Stephen was a great host! He checked in with us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. His place is a close walk to the subway. We also never felt unsafe wandering around the neighborhood. The apartment is on the fourth floor, so if you have difficulties with stairs it's something to keep in mind. Overall our stay was fantastic! Thanks Stephen!
