Neighborhood Overview: Our neighbourhood is called Rosemont Petit-Patrie, it is an up and coming Montreal hood, it has it's own little gems (La Soucoupe café on Fabre just south of Bélanger a few blocks from our house) has GREAT coffee and light food, Kitshy-Koo is a rad vintage stop just around the corner on Belanger, deleicious bread and pastries at La Miche Doré on Belanger corner of Boyer, keep walking a few more blocks and you are at the kitchy shopping street of St.Hubert a wide mix of stores but never have you seen so many bridal stores and place for wild prom dresses! Plenty of children's parks in the area, on Jean Talon and rue de la Nordière has a wadding pool and full park!

Notes: It's a quiet residential area, with some cute coffee shops, restaurants and vintage stores . We are a half block from the metro Fabre on the blue line, to get to the Mile End (hipster neighbourhood) you take the blue line 3 stops to Park, then take the 80 south and get off at St.Viateur takes about 20 minutes, or stay on the bus for another few stops and you are at Mount Royal park which has tam tam circles on Sunday, and beautiful walking trails up to the Belvadere where you can have a birds eye view of the city.

Comments: We arrived late at night with two little kids and dead tired. To find a welcoming letter in the mailbox was warm and detail oriented and we appreciated it very much. Andrea did a great job explaining the neighborhood and as well as perks inside the house.

    Comments: Amazing host!

Comments: While the host can work on dusting the place (and washbasin block) before a guest arrives the place is good as it is located close to shops and accessible to public transport. I would also recommend guests to carry their own kettle or microwave or a vessel if you are travelling with infants and want hot water.

Comments: Andrea's place is cozy and funky at the same time. It's an apartment in a standard 2 story older Montreal building and the usual issues with building age showing. We felt at home here, much better than a sterile hotel! The location is perfect, one block from a busy street, that we never heard any noise from. It's a quiet neighbourhood with little traffic on the street out front. A metro station and large grocery store and drug store are a 2 minute walk, so you can get any necessities and get anywhere in Montreal easily. You don't need a car to navigate the city from here. Andrea communicated clearly and accurately described her apartment and neighbourhood. Most enjoyable, thanks!
