  Comments: Our stay here was great! Melody's description of the place was spot on. The house was well appointed and nicely furnished, and had a great beach in the back yard! This place is on the lee of the island and is not as heavily trafficked as the other destinations on the island. That translates into fewer people on the beach and in the restaurants. we were here for ten days. The house is roomy, with two different levels allowing us to spread out with everyone getting their own space. We were about 45 minutes drive from Honolulu airport, and within an hours drive of any place on the island. Melody's directions and communications were great and very helpful. I Highly recommend you contact Melody for your Hawaiian Vacation

  Comments: The house was great. It's 2 stories, gated and everything was as described in pictures. Melody provided all the info about the house and very helpful. Our stay was short but sweet. I love the location of the house, beach front. The beach was not too crowded. Perfect for snorkeling. We even encountered turtles a few times. We could find local market, restaurants, bike rental ..etc..within 5 miles radius. If avoid traffic, we can even make it to downtown Waikiki within an hour. Thanks for the staying, Melody. I'd love to be back in future.

  Comments: The house at Wainae was amazing. We stayed with our whole family and had a great time. The living room is a little small for 10 people, but the scenery is totally worth it. great balconies, and the washer/dryer came in handy. The only drawback to staying here for first-timers to o'ahu is that Wainae is a good drive away from the major places on the island. We spent more time driving than we'd like. However, if you are looking for a chill place to stay in a beautiful natural setting, this is the place for you. We 100% recommend this house!

  Comments: Great beach house, no A/C so the hot days were hard to deal with for those who do not swim in the ocean. There is a small 3 foot hill to the beach so we needed to use a rope to get to and from beach. Nice beach area not too crowded. Beautiful sunset view. Nice sweet older man living on property in separate home. Loved staying in Wainaie, hour and a half ride to Waikiki during traffic otherwise 45 minutes. Very enjoyable stay!

  Comments: This oceanfront property is all about the wonderful back side of the house, with the ocean just outside the gate at the end of your private grass yard. The drive into the neighborhood is a little sketchy, with stripped cars and having to pass tent cities on a couple of beaches, but the house has a gate at the end of the driveway and feels quite safe. Once you get into the house, you realize that none of that matters because the beach the house sets on is very quiet, and has everything you could want! We swam, played in the surf and sand, went boogie boarding, snorkeling and watched surfers right there on Makaha beach! The entire back side of the house faves the ocean with ocean views from three of the four rooms.(2 upstairs with balconies and one downstairs with an ocean view from the window, and one downstairs bedroom faces the street.) The main living area is upstairs, so do plan on walking up and down a lot. Melody and Kenji were fabulous hosts and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  Comments: It’s a beach house!!!! Right on the beach!!!! So thoughtful of Melody to supply lots of beach towels as well as beach chairs and toys. Only negative aspect is no air condition, it got pretty hot during the day even with the fans running.

  Comments: Melod's place is right on the beach. The views are gorgeous and there is a wonderful breeze. They have plenty of ocean fun stuff avaialble to use like snorkels, boogie boards. There are plenty of utensils and cooking supplies to cook and enjoy your stay
