Tastefully designed with Mid-Century modern furnishings: Russel Wright bed, night tables and a small desk. The desk area is a perfect little work space. There is an oversized closet with hangers and plenty of room for all your luggage and personal belongings. Notes: The apartment is very quiet and peaceful. On our block is a beautiful neighborhood garden which is open to everyone.

Transit: New York is a city to be explored on foot. Our first suggestion would be to walk to where you want to go, walk everywhere and anywhere in Manhattan. If you do want to use public transportation, we are conveniently located in Central Harlem to all major bus and subway lines and can take you to any corner of the city. The Subway and Buses are both within few minutes walk from the apartment at the corner of 125th and Lenox Avenue. You can take the 2 or the 3 Express train to Times Square in under 10 minutes • Subway_2 and 3 trains at Lenox Ave. and 125th St. • Subway_4,5 and 6 trains at Lexington Ave. and 125th St. • Subway_A,B, C or D trains at St. Nicolas Ave. and 125th St. • Buses_ On 125th St., Crosstown East or West • Buses_ On Lenox Ave., Will take you Uptown or Downtown. • Other Transportation_Yellow Taxis, Green Taxis, Livery Cabs and UBER. • Citibike_Just on the corner, Citibike station. Interaction: Peter and I are available most any time to answer your questions. Peter has lived in New York for over 35 years and a great source of information about the city. Between the two of us, we speak English, Spanish and French. If you prefer your privacy, we won't bother you, come and go as you please. We both live and at times work in the apartment. Florence travels to Europe and is not always in New York. If we are working at home, our office is in the back just off the garden. Jolie and Duval are our pets, a beautiful Bengal cat and lovely old pug. Both are unobtrusive, charming and easy going. They'll be of no bother or disturbance to you. Relax, enjoy our home and your stay in New York.

    Comments: Great place, exactly as depicted in the photos. Florence and Peter are friendly hosts with good knowledge of local coffee and jazz spots. Large space with private entrance, good value, nicely furnished and only a few blocks from two subway stations.

    Comments: Florence and Peter were wonderful hosts! They were so kind and generous with their home. They were not overbearing at all and give you as much space and privacy as you like. The entire home is very warm and inviting. The bedroom and private bathroom are very clean and quiet. The neighborhood is nice and has many cafe's and places to eat within walking distance. We definitely recommend this Airbnb!

    Comments: O lugar é bem no centro do Harlem, perto do metrô, bem acessível e com todo tipo de comércio por perto. A casa é uma graça, o quarto bem bacana (no segundo piso, e o banheiro privativo no primeiro, há uma escada). E Florence e Peter são simpáticos e gentis.

Both make appropriate recommendations for things to do and where to get things around the neighborhood.     Comments: Appartement joliment décoré et très agréable à vivre. Péter et Florence parlent très bien français et nous mettent très vite à l'aise. Nous étions comme chez nous. Chambre et salle de bain personnelles. Situé proche de plusieurs lignes de métro pour se rendre rapidement dans le centre ou le Sud de Manhattan. Nous avons utilisé la cuisine pour nous préparer quelques repas. Les hôtes sont discrets au quotidien et se tiennent à notre disposition pour tout renseignement sur New York et Harlem. Très bon séjour chez eux. Nous recommandons +++

    Comments: Hemos disfrutado de nuestra estadia en el hogar de Peter y Florence. Siempre muy respetuosos nos hacian sentir como en nuestra casa y estaban atentos a nuestras necesidades. Florence nos acompaño en todo momento, hasta en el detalle del transporte de vuelta y pudimos tener con ella muy gratas conversaciones (a pesar de nuestras dificultades con el inglés). Los super recomendamos como huespedes y fue nuestra mejor elección para conocer la ciudad. We have enjoyed our stay at the home of Peter and Florence. Always very respectful they made us feel at home and were attentive to our needs. Florence accompanied us at all times, even in the detail of the transport back and we could have with her very pleasant conversations (despite our difficulties with English). We highly recommend them as guests and it was our best choice to get to know the city.
