  Comments: We stayed at Cathy's place for a friends wedding over the weekend and absolutely loved it! It was perfect for a comfortable nights sleep, very clean, nice and modern. Cathy was lovely, making sure we had everything we needed and then leaving us to it. We were running a little late so had to rush in and get ready before taking off to the wedding! The area is perfect too, just down the road from the shops and not too far to the beach. We will definitely be staying there again in the future if we are up that way and recommending to our friends.   Comments: Cathy's fully self-contained studio apartment has the comfort and stylishness of an inner-city space. Step outside and you are graced with the stunning scenery of a wilderness landscape. Then head down to the Avalon shops and you have the atmosphere of a friendly village. I had the most magnificent mid-week break at Cathy's apartment. She and the sweet (and useless-as-a-guard-dog) Maggie were welcoming and friendly. I can not recommend Cathy's place enough. It was rejuvenating. I live in the centre of Sydney, needed a break, so I headed north. The landscape, neighbourhood, people, food, everything was wonderful. And Cathy's kindness and her beautiful space just made it perfect. I will be back. And soon.

  Comments: We really loved our stay at Cathy's place. Location is very nice, close to everything but in a quiet surrounding. Cathy is a very nice lady who does everything she can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Everything was very clean and she provided us with stuff for breakfast, towels.. Such a shame we had very bad weather. Perfect excuse to return one time :) We can really recommend Cathy's place! :)

  Comments: My boyfriend and I stayed at Cathy's property for 1 night whilst attending a Wedding in Palm Beach. The rooms was clean, tidy, presented beautifully and although we didn't eat it, there was breakfast (muesli, blueberries etc) in the fridge for us. Cathy responded straight away, was very friendly and I would recommend staying her property.

  Comments: As I was running a little bit behind my advised arrival time, Cathy checked in with me to ensure I was ok and to advise she had left a key for me, as she may not be home when I arrived. This simple gesture was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Cathy was a perfect host, making me feel very welcome and if there was anything I needed to just ask. The room was fresh, clean and tastefully presented, with everything you would need for a short getaway. The location was perfect, private, quiet and peaceful.   Comments: Cathy's room was just what I needed. It was clean, comfortable and quiet and only a few minutes walk from the sailing club where I was attending a wedding reception. It's not a big space but has everything you need for a short stay and I would readily recommend it. Cathy was great with her directions and communication leading up to my stay.   Comments: We had an amazing stay at Cathys place. The room has its own entry and is self contained with its own private bathroom, fridge and kitchenette. The place is very clean, bed very comfortable and Cathy was even kind enough to supply some fresh blueberries to go with breakfast. The location is perfect, we walked down to paradise beach which was gorgeous and 5 minutes away. Would highly recommend Cathys place for anyone looking for a weekend retreat!

  Comments: Beautiful little private room with ensuite under the main house. Cathy has set the room up beautifully, in keeping with it's nearby beach setting. Good comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very clean and off street parking was offered right outside our door. In addition the room is decked out with lots of extras, a little breakfast bar, tea and coffee (espresso machine), a bar fridge with milk and breakfast items plus coathangers, powerboard for charging devices, travel books. It was more than we needed for a short one night stay to go to a nearby wedding but such a lovely touch. Cathy even left an outside light on and a note on our door for how to turn it off when we got home in a Uber after dark. Perfect spot to stay to explore Avalon, Pittwater, Whale Beach, Palm Beach, the Barrenjoey lighthouse. Would recommend for couples.

  Comments: The perfect experience for our first Airbnb stay! Friendly and effortless welcome with all of the info we would need to immediately feel right-at-home. Secure parking right outside our door and beautifully private. The room and facilities were immaculate and very well appointed, conducive to a very relaxed two weeks which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Our host was always available for queries and a chat but never obtrusive. Avalon should be on your to-do list when visiting Sydney with world-class beaches on one hand, beautiful Pittwater on the other and boutique shopping and all the facilities one could require in between. Conveniently situated within easy reach of all of these, Cathy's cosy room is an ideal retreat, cool and quiet on a hot afternoon with the sound of birds and the breeze in the tall gum-trees to enjoy as you unwind. We look forward to another visit in the not-too-distant future, knowing that our stay would be just as pleasant and fulfilling as the time we have already enjoyed there!

  Comments: This was my first Airbnb and it was everything and more that we hoped for. The room was as shown and described. Cathy was very helpful including volunteering to collect us from the Palm Beach Ferry if required. Cathy was also very flexible with check in and check out times which for us was a plus. The room was set back from the road in a garden with beautiful gum trees with off road parking available and a bonus was to be right opposite a bus stop. Fantastic.

With your own entrance, ensuite bathroom and the extra touches of soda water in the fridge, nespesso coffee machine, fruit yogurt and muesli for breakie and beach towels for use, it was a treat. The room was spotless, with modern bathroom and decorated beautifully. Cathy was even helpful enough to arrange a fan in the room for us prior to arrival as we had been having some very hot weather of late. Just fantastic!

Her son was pleasant to talk to as well and was helpful with directions. The room looked great in the picture and was better in person. Very bright, white, clean, and prepared. All the amenities came in handy, as well: fridge, micro, and the light breakfast. Her place is near everything in the Avalon area, and the bus stop directly across from her place runs every hour and gets you anywhere you need to go, if you're like us and didn't hire a car. Avalon beach itself is a great holiday spot, with lots of shops in the village accross the way from the beach. and the nearby Palm and Whale beach make for a good getaway.

  Comments: It was a good short stay in Cathy's room, unfortunately we arrived too late (11PM) and departures too early (7:30AM) so the host and guests missed out each other, but Cathy left the door opened for us. For future reference, I would recommend the guests who drive to the host, to park their cars at Cathy's front yard, as I parked my car on the street just outside Cathy's house and got someone intentionally scratched my car doors.

  Comments: We really enjoyed our stay in Cathy’s room! It offers privacy, is spacious and has a very comfy bed. There is tea and coffee provided, as well as a toaster and some fruits, yoghurt, milk, and muesli for breakfast. Cathy was a great host, and even picked us up from the nearest bus stop on our arrival! There are plenty of beaches, shops and restaurants around. Great place!

  Comments: This place is quite small as described but was exactly what we needed. The room is seperated from the rest of the house so is private and you have your own bathroom. Everything was clean and decorated nicely. Shower was very good and the place was nice and cool even when 40 degrees outside. Cathy was lovely and let us check in and out at our requested times. Location is great if you have a car with off road parking. If you have no car, the town and main beach are about 30 minutes walk and there is a quieter beach 5 minute walk away. This place was just what we needed!

  Comments: This was a lovely, charming place to stay. I absolutely loved it. The place was very clean and comfortable and I immediately felt at home. The bed was very comfortable, and there was an electric blanket underneath the linens so the bed was nice and warm (I was here in the winter so this was REALLY nice to have). There was also a little space heater, so it was very comfortable. There was a lovely breakfast set-up with cereal, tea and coffee, and a water boiler. There were fresh flowers on the table and Cathy had written a nice welcoming note. Cathy also drove me to one of my events (I was here for a wedding) when Uber didn't work. It was a lovely stay and I will definitely stay here again if I return!

It was a great spot to stay for the night before going to a wedding at Currawong Beach. Very comfortable with lots of comfy pillows. You can hear people walking around in the house above but you would be hard pressed to find a quieter spot this close to Palm Beach.

The place was spotlessly clean, the bed linen was really nice quality, there was even shampoo and conditioner (which I appreciated, having forgotten to pack mine). I also really appreciated the extra touch of providing breakfast -- lovely muesli, greek yoghurt, fresh berries and milk, and Cathy got in touch ahead of time to see what kind of milk I preferred. Extremely thoughtful. Having stayed in a few places around this area, it was terrific to have off-street parking. All in all, it was perfect for my needs as a sole traveller in the area for business; I would happily stay here again anytime.

Cathy’s local recommendations were spot on: sunset at nearby Paradise Beach; walk to Clareville Beach; French restaurant in Avalon and local shops were all excellent. My three days were just what I wanted, sun, swimming, long walks in beautiful bush and a charming village...I felt re-energised. Cathy is the perfect host: welcoming but not intrusive.   Comments: What a gem! just a few minutes from the beach and a short walk to the shops. Cathy pulls out all the stops in terms of hospitality, providing us with breakfast and even a coffee pod machine. There were even beach towels and a cute little bag to take with us to the beach. She even provided the much-needed and often impossible to pack pair of scissors, which came in handy for 2 people who had flown in. The room has everything you could need, a comfy bed and pillows, a fan, a TV and a fridge. The bathroom also has a large shower. All in all, a great place!
