Comments: This review is for our second reservation at the same hotel on our trip, after we returned to Istanbul after visiting other sites in Turkey. I have reproduced the same review from our first stay at the hotel: Our stay at Sultan's Inn was a wonderful experience. I and my friends chose this place because of all the positive reviews it had received, and our experience corroborates everyone else's reviews! Sultan's Inn is an affordable and well-organised hotel. Our rooms were cleaned and tidied up everyday while we were out, dirty dishes were replaced and clean towels were provided. We never needed to request anything because it was all taken care of seamlessly. The staff at Sultan Inn is very courteous, friendly and professional. They are well-informed about local sights and the ways to reach them. Sometimes their recommendations for guided tours and transport options are more expensive than the alternatives we found by ourselves, but their recommendations were still useful nevertheless. In particular, the hotel's airport pickup service is more expensive than local taxis. But this service was useful for first-time visitors to Turkey like us, since we'd have otherwise found it difficult to navigate our way to the hotel from the airport. Also, the breakfast buffet is one of the best we've ever had, with a really sumptuous selection of foods for every taste! I'm not typically a morning person, but I woke up extra early just to make sure I got a crack at those amazing sausages, boiled eggs, baked potatoes, black olives, creamy yogurt with three different flavours of jams, chocolate brownies, and much more! Finally, Sultan's Inn is very conveniently located at the heart of the Sultanahmet district in Istanbul. The area is fairly touristy, and Istanbul's local residents don't frequent it much. But for those of us visiting the city to take in all the famous sights like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, most hotels in Sultanahmet are a mere 7 to 10 minutes walking distance from all these places. In partcular, Sultan Inn is situated at an intersection with a taxi stand, so for residents in need of private transport, it is very easy to find one right outside the hotel. My only point of dissatisfaction was that the rooms were smaller than we expected. The photographs posted on Airbnb appear slightly 'stretched', giving the appearance that the rooms are longer than they really are. This could be just a function of the camera that was used to take the photographs, but it is worth bearing in mind for visitors who plan to spend a lot of time in their hotel rooms. Sultanahmet is so beautiful that we were barely in the hotel except at night, so it didn't really affect us. All in all it was a good experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Istanbul!

Comments: Nice hotel with friendly people in a very central area, just a very short 5 minute walk from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Tons of great Turkish restaurants in the neighborhood too. The walls of the room we stayed in are somewhat thin, so noise from cars passing by on the street or people talking in the hallway may be an issue for light sleepers, but otherwise I have very little to complain about.
