Comments: Lauren was a wonderful hostess. A yummy loaf of bread, fresh juice in the refrigerator and lots of suggestions for places to eat and taking advantage of NYC economically. The apartment was spacious, clean and bright. Comfy bed and plenty of space to spread out luggage. Classic older brownstone apartment for a real feel of NYC as you see in movies set in NYC.

Comments: Lauren's place was wonderful! It was near great shops, restaurants, and Central Park! The apartment itself is a great size for the area and is clean and comfy. I was pleasantly surprised to find and elevator upon arrive with my 55 pound bag! Lauren is so sweet and accommodating. I would love to visit again in the future!

Comments: Lauren and her husband were very nice and friendly to us. Due to circumstances we kept changing our arrival time but Lauren was very accommodating and we manage to get into apartment in no time at all. Due to some problems we decided to cancel our stay after we arrived but Lauren was very understanding and sweet about it, I couldn't have asked for a better host. Highly recommended!

Comments: Lauren was a very communicative and responsive host. She waited 2 hours for me during check in when my flight was delayed and came over almost immediately when i had an issue with one of the kitchen appliances. Her apartment was very conveniently located in a safe neighbourhood with the subway, good restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Her apartment was fairly clean, spacious and well equipped. Lauren even left a bottle of wine, a packet of madelines, books and brochures about NY as well as her recommendations of things to see, do and eat for me. I would love to stay at Lauren's again when i next visit NY as i had a very positive experience at her apartment. Thank you Lauren :)

Comments: Lauren was an amazing host! She was so accommodating to several schedule changes up to check in day. The apartment was neat and tidy and had such a cozy, comfortable vibe. It was amazing how close we were to the Lexington shops and Central Park. Lauren was ever so helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do. She left us small goodies and great visitors books an a stalked fridge to make our trip that much better. Can't wait to make my way back to NY!

Comments: Lauren and Vince were spectacular! When I had a minor difficulty in the apartment, Vince came over SO fast, not only straightened it out, but took out all the small kitchen appliances for me to use so I wouldn't have to fish for ANYTHING! The next day, Lauren shifted her entire schedule to meet me in Central Park with an extra set of keys when I, completely transported by the vision of the Metropolitan Museum ahead of me, left my bag on a bus (I got it back!). The apartment is big, I thought, with a charming bedroom with a charming street view, that almost does the job all by itself. The windows are amazing - you feel like you're on an enclosed deck, looking out, with tremendous space between you and any other buildings. The couch is incredibly comfortable - that was SO important for me - and the dining table was crucially helpful, too. I slept great on the bed. Love NYC! Thanks, Lauren and Vince!

Comments: This was our first-ever AirBNB experience, and it was wonderful. As the date of our reservation approached, Lauren kept in contact with us. And on the day of our trip, I was able to text both her and her brother, who was going to meet us with the key, updates. They responded promptly back. We were met in front of the building shortly after we arrived and we were very grateful for the help with our luggage and the working elevator. (We had forgotten how narrow hallways are in Manhattan apartment buildings.) The apartment gets a good deal of sunlight, which we enjoyed, though you can put down the shades for privacy. It has everything we needed and lots of things (like the TV) which we never used. The shower had hot water, the Air Conditioners blew out cold air, and the bed had fresh sheets and was comfortable. We have both lived in NYC, so we knew that apartments are narrow and storage space is at a premium, therefore, we knew what to expect. They have done a great job of trying to make as much free space as they can in their apartment, and that was very much appreciated. They also cleaned out a drawer in the dresser for us and left us a bag of mini-muffins as a Welcome to NYC treat. We instantly felt at home. And the neighborhood is wonderful. Coffee, Bagels, Diners, Grocery stores and Pharmacies, and Restaurants and Bars galore, are within a short walk of the building. (Try the Belgian place if you are in the Neighborhood. Say Hi to Remy for us.) My wife found a Yoga place a couple of blocks away, and I was able to walk a little ways to Central Park and go jogging. We were also able to rent bikes from Peddle Pushers (get helmets and a lock) and take them around the city and across into Brooklyn for the day. Bike lanes are available on 2nd and 1st Ave. In conclusion, if you are considering this apartment, book it. The pictures are accurate, the description is accurate, Lauren is pleasant and responsive, and you would be hard-pressed to find a better neighborhood in the city. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend this place to family and friends. Not to mention, we would gladly stay again. Tips: Don't put stuff on the stove, the pilot lights are always on and the top of the stove stays hot. Shut the door to the office to keep the bedroom cool at night. The shower pressure can take off skin. I'm not complaining, but be careful. There is no coffee maker, but there is a Dunkin Donuts around the corner, so I was pleased I didn't have to make my own. (There is an espresso machine but it frightened me.)

Comments: Lauren and Vincent are a super nice couple. When I got to the apartment it was all smiles with no disappointments. The place was bright and clean with everything you would need to feel like a temporary New Yorker. Lauren was always responsive and they even made a list of all the cool places to eat and do in the area to my request. :) I would stay there again for sure. Thanks Air BnB and Lauren for a great experience! - William

Comments: Lauren and Vince's apartment was spacious and quiet, with lots of natural light, stocked with all the essentials, and in a great part of town. Lauren was responsive, friendly, and thoughtful - she gave us a gift card for a local baby store, a quick, but thorough tour of the apartment, and lots of notes and resources for the neighborhood.

Comments: Had a wonderful time visiting New York. The location of Lauren and Vince's apartment worked out great for us as we were visiting family close by. Quiet secure side street, elevator to the fifth floor, close proximity to Central Park and the subway, as well as many fine dining and drinking establishments nearby only added to our enjoyment. Thanks again for the wine and hospitality. You made our first Airbnb experience a memorable one.

Comments: Our host met us at the prescribed time and was ready with books about the neighborhood, lists of their favorite local restaurants/shops and even some fresh cookies from a local bakery. She was fantastic! The neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for. Ideally situated close to everything, the location was nothing less than perfect for us. We could walk to many of our activities or easily catch a cab on the corner when necessary. This was the perfect place to stay for our weekend getaway.
