Neighborhood Overview: The north shore of Oahu boasts world famous surfing and a laid back vibe. We're near Waimea Bay with it's giant winter surf and fun summer swimming. In the same area, Shark's Cove and Three Tables provide great snorkeling. There's a big supermarket and Starbucks there too. The Polynesian Cultural center, Turtle Bay resort, Historic Haleiwa town teeming with surf shops, boutiques, casual eateries, shrimp trucks and fine seafood restaurants are all nearby as well.
Notes: At Hale Moana we are witness to the impressive and fascinating interaction of land and sea. The shoreline may dramatically change from summer to winter, year to year. The tides, currents, waves and wind are constantly rearranging the beach, and sand levels will vary significantly and unpredictably over time. The North Shore is known world wide for its dramatic winter surf. Be aware that swimming in most places during big wave season is best left to experts and children should be closely supervised. Comments: My family had an awesome time at Sandi's home. The house was clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 9 years old). It is right on the beach so it was very convenient as you can walk back to the house to get anything you need any time. Thank you so much Sandi!

Comments: Central beach location with surfing on one end, breakwater tide pool area on the other, and an amazing yard for barbecuing and just relaxing. Did everything we could to enjoy every minute of our short stay.

Comments: Nice house in a beautiful location - right by the ocean, you can sit in the living room or in the garden and watch the waves or sunset. The only inconveniece was that the house is close to the road and you can hear cars passing by, especially in the rear bedroom with the twin beds.

Comments: Hale Moana is a perfect place to reset, look at the stars, enjoy the sunset, and sunbathe! I cooked everyday with the fully equipped kitchen, the beds were comfy, ceiling fans in every room, & lots of towels. In the middle of all amenities the North Shore has to offer. Location can’t be beat! Just perfect! I will be back!! Thanks Sandra!

Comments: Nice older home on the water. You sleep to crash waves and a little road traffic. I would not hesitate to stay again. Plenty of chairs and beach stuff.

Comments: Sandra was equipped with everything we needed and more. Great location, lots of fun, would have liked AC in the house... but overall was a great experience!

Comments: Sandra, your home Hale Moana, was even better than the pictures you posted !! Our family of 5 plus our 2 year old grandson enjoyed it so much. Great location on the beach, my husband enjoyed his morning coffee out on the deck chair watching the waves, it was always one of his dreams to do something like that - so thank you !! You were fabulous with all the material/ local information you provided prior to the trip. We had no problem finding and entering the property. The place was just perfect in every way - it's a 10 out of 10 for us. We certainly have raved about it to our friends and many photose pasted on (Hidden by Airbnb) and highly recommend Hale Moana for anyone wanting to stay on the North Shore. Thank you again and we will be back !!

Comments: This place is dreamier and even more special than the pictures express. The house sets the stage for unforgettable memories and absolute relaxation. The location can’t be beat (if you’re looking for peace and privacy!) and lends itself to whatever you’re looking for - surfing, sunning, beach walks, family bbqs, reading, sleeping ... I could go on and on. Sandi is the best communicator. The only downside is leaving!!

Comments: From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we wanted to come back. Hale Moana felt like a home away from home with stunning, literally jaw-dropping views from every room. As a family of 5, we were completely comfortable with plenty of space for both relaxing and activity. Direct access to beautiful beaches, 5 minutes from downtown Haleiwa, 2 minutes from Waimea Falls, it just couldn’t have been any better. This is the saddest we’ve ever been to leave a vacation spot, and we are already planning a return trip!! Sandi was so responsive and helpful that we had absolutely no issues checking in, finding activities, or even getting weather updates for the Norah Shore. She made our trip such a relaxing experience, we couldn’t recommend Hale Moana more! Thank you Sandi!!

Comments: We stayed at Hale Moana for five days. My family and my three-month-old daughter had a good time. The views are amazing and unbeatable. The house has no air-conditioning except for one bedroom. If traveling during summer the house can get very hot. My daughter had to stay in the air-conditioned room for most of the trip as she did not do well with the heat and humidity. If you like that sort of weather this would be great house for you. Sandra provided a list of activities, coffee and wine upon arrival, and everything we needed for a nice day at her house. The shower was narrow for my 6 foot two 200+ pound brother and the toilet in the garage is also very narrow. Something to keep in mind for larger guests. Close to down town Haleiwa and Waimea beach and dole plantation.

Comments: This home is in a perfect location on Oahu North Shore. One mile from Waimea bay and two miles from grocery and trucks. The owner of this property has everything you need to relax... walk in and you can snorkel, bbq, shower, laundry. Also have AC to chill with movies and books when not on beach. Mahalo to Sandi. This place is forever in our hearts.

Comments: This home is surrounded by beautiful views, where you can go out to the beach and where you can literally see the sun go down. Despite the beach being public we didn't see anyone else on it when we wanted to go out meaning it felt very private. There are helpful hints provided in terms of places to go to eat and activities to do. A well thought out location. Would definitely stay again.

Comments: Sandra’s house is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the view and the sunset. I stayed there for a week with my family and we really made the most of this place. It is ideally located: not too far from Honolulu and with great beaches around. Pictures are accurate and the beach house is well furnished. If you’re looking for a place to relax and rest, don’t look any further, you found it! Would stay there again if I ever come back again.

Comments: We had a fabulous stay. The views and beach are amazing! Down a few steps and you are on a beautiful beach with great snorkeling and fishing. About 50 yd walk down the beach there is a sandy cove protected by a reef. Perfect for little kids. The house is perfectly situated to enjoy the beach and views. Sunsets were truly spectacular!

Comments: The size of the window in the living room was a feeling of liberation, it was very nice. The garage with the shutter is also very convenient and you can bring the luggage to the living room immediately. It was close to Foodland of Pupukeaa and Haleiwa, it was a very convenient location.

Comments: This place is right on the water, and it's beautiful to watch the waves crashing. We enjoyed swimming nearby and just relaxing outside. Even had a rainbow above the ocean. About 20 minutes drive to the shrimp farms where you can buy fresh shrimp! Had a great time!

Comments: Hale Moana is the only place where we would stay when visiting Oahu in the future again! Forget about the touristic and crowded Waikiki and choose the quiet, private and peaceful Hale Moana, where you ll have direct access to the ocean without any interruption! We had a fantastic time there and appreciated the beautiful view from the backyard to the ocean and the nearby sandy “private beach” without any tourist disturbing us. Staying at Hale Moana was the best decision that we could have made,I can only recommend this place!
