Summary: This small but quaint studio is half a block from the best part of Waikiki beach across from Honolulu Zoo! Don’t be fooled by those who say they are “near” Waikiki, especially when toting your beach supplies, it’s a big city. This unit has the beach right outside the door! It boasts granite in the bathroom and has a fully stocked kitchenette. The building has a rooftop observation deck with amazing views, a pool, bar, restaurants, sundries, and even a Starbucks within steps of the front door!!
Space: Location, Location, Location. Everything is located just steps from our studio. Waikiki has beautiful stretches of beach. This unit is situated along the best part where the the sand is super fine. Anything you desire is within walking distance - Restaurants, nightlife, hiking, running, bicycling, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, SUP, relaxing... the list goes on and on! The studio is small but has everything you need for a great vacation. It has a lanai (patio) if you enjoy a cup of coffee outdoors in the morning or a beautiful observation deck on the roof to watch amazing sunrises over Diamondhead and sunsets into the pacific. I enjoy having the kitchen to make breakfast or a snack instead of paying the high meal prices in town for every meal. The building has Teddy's Burgers on the first level and Tucker and Bevy is just down the block for fresh squeezed juice on a hot day. The ABC store downstairs has everything from sunscreen to light groceries if you need something quick

Neighborhood Overview: Waikiki is a special place and has everything every big city has. It has breathtaking views and the island feeling, perfect place to relax! Our unit is literally a 1/2 block to the beach and has everything you need to enjoy the beauty that lies within steps of the front door!
Notes: Waikiki is a busy city hosting thousands of people so there's no way to block all noise but our unit is located on the back side of the building which helps reduce the noise levels. The building is also dated and Hawaii has a moderate to hot tropical climate making roaches and other bugs unavoidable. I have the inside of our unit professionally sprayed for roaches/bugs quarterly and we keep no food in the unit to try to avoid attracting them. This building was built in the 1960's, and has some electrical issues. We have recently discovered our electrical system in the kitchen and bathroom are on the same circuit breaker. IF A TENANT IS USING APPLIANCES IN THE KITCHEN AND A BLOW DRYER IS TURNED ON IN THE BATHROOM OR MULTIPLE APPLIANCES, IT WILL TRIP THE CIRCUIT BREAKER. If this happens call the front desk for 24 HOUR assistance. TO AVOID THIS HAPPENING WE RECOMMEND that you NOT use the stove, coffee pot, or microwave if you are going to use a blow dryer in the bathroom or run multip
Transit: "The Bus" is the local bus line that is located very close to the unit, download the app to make the route navigation super easy! There's also moped and bike rental on the side street to the hotel and plenty of taxi and rental car establishments. The best and least expensive way to go to the hotel and return to the airport is via shuttle service which can be prearranged. We also recommend using Biki Bikes, UBER or LYFT for getting around in town.
Access: The studio is located in the Waikiki Grand Hotel and guests have access to all of the amenities the building has to offer from the pool to the observation deck! The building is referred to as a condo-tel because it has a mixture of owner occupied units, vacation rental units, and hotel rooms. You will be able to make yourself at home with everything at your fingertips! The building has a pool, rooftop observation deck, laundry room with ice and vending machines, Hulu's open air bar, and Teddy's Burgers. Parking: Parking can be reserved on a first come/first serve basis by calling the Waikiki Grand Hotel front desk at ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), their rate is $17/dy. There is limited street parking. Hourly parking is also located across the street at the zoo, their rate is $1/hr.
Interaction: We live in town and get great joy out of helping people enjoy the beauty that is Hawaii. I try to give my guests their space but I'm only a phone call or text away when needed! My dad, Danny, and his lovely wife Sandy help manage the property so any one of us may respond to inquiries. Our unit has cipher lock entry so you will be able to enter the unit at agreed upon check-in (3:00 pm) and check out times (12:00 pm) without the hassle of linking up with the owner. We will send the entry code and welcome letter after booking is confirmed. Mahalo!
House Rules: 1) Please be respectful of our property as this is our vacation home that we rent out and not a hotel per se. Please treat it like your home as well. 2) We ask that you respect the neighbors and keep the noise level reasonable, especially after 10 PM. 3) The Wi-Fi and cable are not owned or operated by us, they are services provided by the Waikiki Grand hotel. We will not provide refunds because of Wi-Fi or cable connectivity but will immediately work to resolve any connectivity issues if they arise. 4) Please wash used dishes, a drying rack is located under the sink. 5) A trash shoot and recycle bin are located at the other end of the fifth floor, if excessive amounts of garbage are collected, please discard as necessary. 6) Please make a pile with the soiled linen/towels before checkout. Also, please do not smoke, do drugs, or allow pets inside the unit. If smoking on the lanai please ensure the AC is turned off as the smoke will vent into the room otherwise. Mahalo!

Comments: Judith was a fabulous host. She was SO fast to respond to our inquiry which was great considering this was a last minute trip to Oahu for us. She was excellent at communicating and very accommodating in assisting us regarding questions on parking. The location of this unit cannot be beat! It's away from all the hustle and bustle of DT Waikiki, but literally you can walk down the strip in a matter of seconds, not to mention, you can walk to the beach within minutes! The interior of the unit is so tastefully decorated and homey feeling, it was perfect for my husband and I. The galley kitchen is so ideal, as you'll be able to pick up some groceries rather than having to eat out all the time. Kitchen items fully stocked. Excellent organization for a "city" size unit. My husband and I travel to Oahu for business quite frequently and most definitely would stay here again!

Comments: So I am sitting in this wonderful restuarant overlooking the ocean and I strike up a conversation with a guy who is a Financial Planner for deca-millionaires and is on the verge of retirement. It is obvious from the conversation that he has done well for himself financially even though he does not flaunt it at all. The conversation goes in several different ways all surrounding finance; politics and fiscal policy, trust funds, college education costs, insurance captives etc etc. I love it! I am in Hawaii from the Midwest and the weather is perfect and I am overlooking the ocean! I find out he travels to Hawaii regularly since his Daughter moved to the island. His best advice for visiting Hawaii (Oahu)?? Stay at the hotel right down there and walk to everything since it is in the perfect location. Well what do you know? He was talking about staying in Judith's building!! I proudly stuck my chest out and remarked "That's where we are staying!" The moral of that story? This unit is in the perfect location!! This was my first time on AirBnB and my first time in Hawaii so it was a real risk to stay here. But the Lord lead me correctly. We were 1/2 block from the beach and the busiest street in Oahu. The room was cozy and clean and Judith was more helpful than a Hotel concierge. She emailed us in advance about some of the best places to eat and go and we took her suggestions on many of them and were not disappointed. The room was also stocked with extra stuff like a mat for the beach which we used when we went to the North Shore. We ate breakfast in the room daily and then we hit the road. If you are looking to lounge poolside or sit in your bed the entire trip and gaze out of the window then this is not the place for you since the view is not great and the pool has no real view. If you are like us and want to actually SEE Hawaii then save money on accommodations and actually go DO stuff!! We went Para-sailing, on a Helicopter flight around the island, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, to a Luau, on a Catamaran Trip, a 2 hour hike up some mountain (Kuholuo Trail?), rode in a regular paddle boat, attended the swap meet and Aloha Stadium for great cheap gifts had dinner at sunset at a revolving restaurant and saw the Sunset dip into the ocean on the North Shore plus other stuff. Judith and this place were awesome. I have got to return soon!!!

Comments: We loved this unit. May be small for some but for us it was ok. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Location is unbeatable, just a few steps from shops, malls, restaurants and bars. Despite the location this apt is quiet. Parking lot is available for US$15 a day, cheaper than hotels. View from the top of the building is awsome, really nice. We had chance to meet Judith, and she is great! Definitely she is a great host . We highly recommend this unit!!!

Comments: Thank you for allowing me to stay in your beautiful home. Your attention to the little details made my stay perfect. I highly recommend to any person staying in Waikiki to stay at Judie's condo. Location was so great.

Comments: Judie was a great host, communicated really well and was really concerned with our comfort. We didn't have any problems while staying at Judie's apartment, but she was always available if anything came up. The apartment was very cute and a perfect size and had everything that we needed. It was in a great location, easily walk-able to all of Waikiki, grocery store and basically right on the beach. Check-in and check-out were super easy, too! I would definitely stay here again.

Comments: The place was absolutely amazing especially for the price. It was also in the perfect location right across from the Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Beach. However, there is limited (basically none) Wi-Fi in the room/hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better stay though!

Comments: Judith was great host, and I could not be more happy with the unit or my experience. She contacted prior to my arrival to give some details and the door code I stayed by myself, but the unit would also be great for 2. The unit was clean modern looking and for the most part had all of the accessories for a rental to eat, clean, ect. Judith would check up on me via text through out my stay to ask if there was anything I needed. I went to Costco near my home put the food plastic bags, checked it with my luggage and loaded the fridge. This was a great option for me because of the convenience and it both saved money on eating out. The Beach a stones throw away from the building. There was also bar on the second floor of the building, where I met some really nice people from all over the world. I met a local girl at the bar who invited and took me to a local bbq a few days later, where I also met some great people. One day the bar also had this singer who could of been a professional. I met some Aussie girls at the bus stop near bye, who invited me to a local bar with them and even took me out to dinner a couple days later for my birthday. I will definitely come back one day and I will hopefully be able to get the same unit again. I went to Hawaii without a plan and not knowing anyone and made some great friends and memories. I do not think half of the random fun experiences I had would of happened if I had not stayed there. Fun Times

Comments: Judith was a phenomenal host! I told her we were traveling with a baby and she borrowed a pack n play for us. She also checked in with us before and during our trip to see if we needed anything. Her place was perfect for my husband and 7 month old. We were able to prep baby food and make breakfast at the kitchenette. It was walking distance to the beach, zoo, parks, shopping and restaurants. She also had exactly what we needed for the beach; chairs, umbrella, beach bag, towels and even snorkeling stuff. The keurig and Bluetooth speaker were perfect bonuses. You should definitely stay here! Thanks again Judith!

Comments: This studio was absolutely perfect! It was fully equipped with everything we needed such as shampoo/conditioner, face wash, towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, a DVD player, and much much more. The kitchenette was perfect to cook some meals on and the bed was very comfortable. I had no problem sleeping on it. Judith was an amazing host! She replied to all of our questions as soon as we asked them and she made sure we found the place without any problems. Also, the studio is just steps from the beach and many shops. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to stay close to Waikiki beach!

Comments: I did not meet Judie, but communication by email was a breeze. She was able to accommodate an early check-in, which I very much appreciated. I really enjoyed my stay in the room. It is small, but packs a big punch: large comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space, nice kitchenette, and a rather private balcony. The location was also great - only a block away from the beach and close to the bus lines. Recommended!

Comments: Judie was very responsive and accommodating. The location of this place is ideal, literally one minute walk from the beautiful end of Waikiki. We enjoyed breakfasts at Lulu's around the corner with great views and good food. The only downside is that the place is very small, such that there is no place to put open suitcases anywhere. Other than that, great spot!

Comments: Judie's place was in the most ideal location, right across from Waikiki beach where it wasn't too crowded. The studio is exactly what u see in the pictures, very clean and cosy. The bed was super comfortable. Judie was lovely with her communication and made things very easy. The only downside is the wifi connection, u pretty much won't get any unless ur in the lobby, other then that our stay was fantastic and we will hope to stay here again Thanks

Comments: Great location! Very convenient for all things Waikiki. Parking availability was also a plus and convenient! The place is perfect for two. Cozy with all the amenities. Didn't have a chance to use the 2 burner stove but if we were staying longer we would have used it.

Comments: Judith's rental was so, so great. We usually stay on the North Shore but as this was a last minute trip ended up finding Judith's place in Waikiki. A few things for others staying to know: This rental has a lot of extras which weren't listed: a beach umbrella, beach mats, a cooler, 2 beach chairs, Keurig one cup machine. There was also aloe gel, etc left from previous renters which were nice little bonuses. Parking is now $17 dollars, not $15. The ac and fan worked really well, we have stayed in Hawaii before with no ac and won't do that again. The unit was super clean and honestly seemed bigger than the photos. Judith was a class act when there was a scheduling snafu and still managed to make our stay seamless. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Comments: Judith's Studio in Honolulu was perfect! From the modern decor and art to the cleanliness of the room to the location at the Waikiki Grand Hotel, the experience was great! A cosy and fully stocked Studio with literally everything (though I did not use it there was even beach chairs and a small cooler hidden away). Highly recommended and a great price! Judith was also extremely accomodating with my check-in and times as well (coming from Los Angeles on a red eye). Thanks Judith for making my stay excellent!

Comments: The location of #505 was great. We had easy access to both trolley bus and general bus routes. Waikiki was of course right on the doorstep.. Lulu,s Bar &Grill steps away was great for an evening drink by the beach and we heard some great acoustic music in Hula's which of course is downstairs from the apartment. Everything in the apartment was as shown on the listing and fine. Judith organised an early checkin for us after a long flight and responded quickly to a couple of messages we sent. There is however one significant negative; the hotel's air conditioning plant is directly below #505's small balcony and the noise meant we never spent more than a minute or two on the balcony. Even with the balcony door closed the roar from the A/c below was quite intrusive. Of course this is obviously beyond Judith's control.

Comments: The location of the hotel was great. Very close to the beach and right across the street from the Zoo. Many restaurants, bars, and stores were within walking distance. Check in was easy. Just needed to tell them our name and what unit we were in. No other process was needed since it was a private unit and we already had the code. Walking into the unit it smelled nice, a/c was already on and the room was already cooled. The lanai/balcony doesn't have much of a view but the roof top deck makes up for that. The bed was comfy and clean. The full sized fridge was great to have as well as the stove, sink and other kitchen appliances. But overall, we really liked this unit. The bed was comfy the shower was really nice especially with the oversized shower head. Very well kept and very clean (minus the bugs on 1 towel.) The employees working in the hotel were very kind and helpful.

Comments: The BEST LOCATION! Thank you Judith for providing the perfect spot to have easy access to everything. I always look for a place that's clean and this condo was. Judith had beach chairs, a mat to lay on , and an umbrella for the beach. Also, a mini cooler, we used all of it everyday. Tucker and Bevy has the best salads and we packed up the cooler with their food every beach trip. We ate breakfast up on the rooftop and enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean and Diamond Head. Judith checked on me just to make sure I was fine and if I needed anything. She was always prompt with any communication and I would definitely stay again! Thank you so much, Judith!

Comments: Judith's listing was just as described and when it said fully stocked she meant it. Shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, shaving cream, sun screen, beach towels and there were two beach chairs we used to sit on the beach to watch the sun set. There is not a table and chairs in the unit but there are two chairs and a small table on the lanai that we used to sit and eat our breakfast. When I booked this unit I asked Judith if there was a blender in the room, she said there wasn't but she would make sure to put one in there before we got there, and she did! We did not get to meet Judith because her Mother was visiting from the main land but she emailed me several times during our stay to make sure everything was good and asked if we needed anything. When we left and almost to the airport I realized I had left my bag of make-up in one of the drawers, I sent her a message telling her, she asked for my address and mailed it back to me. If we get a chance to return I would absolutely want to stay here again.

Comments: This studio was perfect for all of my needs! It is a great place filled with everything you might require for a beach vacation (beach chairs, mats, towels, snorkels, toiletries, etc.) and nice sized kitchenette! The bed is very comfortable and all of the closet space were huge bonuses. My absolute favorite touch are the two dvds in the room, they always remind me of Hawaii :) The location is amazing, everything was walk-able (in regards to the Waikiki area). We had rented a car and only used it three times. Judie was an exceptional host, she is excellent at communicating, very friendly and went out of her way to ensure our visit was perfect. I would not hesitate to book here again for the next trip! Mahalo Judie!!

Comments: Full disclosure, this is my first Airbnb experience and I would definitely use this service again. When my girlfriend first arrived at the studio, we thought it looked exactly like the pictures. Very clean, very neat and very comfortable. The description of how far the beach is was very accurate and everything we needed was within a short walk. We felt welcome and enjoyed that Judith checked in with us via email midway through our trip. We found the beach gear available to guest VERY helpful. We hoped to add to their collection with a circle floaty for future guests to use. Overall, our stay here in this studio was very enjoyable and would definitely book with Judith again if we were ever in the Waikiki area.

Comments: Judith has been very accommodating and helpful. Our 8-night stay at her place has been nothing but perfect. The fully-furnished apartment plus beach stuff (mats, cooler, inflatables, etc) made our first time in Hawaii stress-free and nothing but memorable. Waikiki Grand Hotel is just a few steps away from the bus stop, ABC convenience stores, restaurants and most especially, the beach. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and will not think twice about renting the place again next time we come back to Oahu. Thanks Judith for being an excellent host!

Comments: Judith's apartment was compactly & perfectly equipped and modernly fitted out. It was definitely living Aloha as it was so close to the beach which made swimming everyday our piece of heaven...we love the clear blue salty refreshing water of Waikiki, such a great place to recharge and relax...after a swim we strolled along the beach to watch local turtles frolicking in their habitat or enjoyed a morning coffee and other days we cooked breakfast at the apartment and sat on the lanai We really liked being so close to transport too and found our way easily to explore outside of Waikiki too.

Comments: We stayed in this place for 11 days! Here is our full review: Let me start by saying that we are the kind of vacationers that just needs a decent place to shower and sleep in at night. We spend 90% of our day outside of the room. Host: We never met Judith, but she was very responsive and nice. We forgot our Hawaiian chocolate presents in the freezer, and she shipped it to us to Washington DC! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Pros: - Location, Location, Location! It is right in front of the zoo at the end of the Waikiki area/beach, which means less tourists and traffic. It takes about 10-15mins walking to be in the center of Waikiki beach, and 2mins driving to get on the highway. In my opinion, this was the perfect spot to be in if you are planning on seeing the entire island. Easy to jump locations and still be in heart of the city. - Parking in the hotel was easy and not that expensive. Highly recommend getting parking in the building garage. It will save you lots of time. - You get lots of towels, fast free wifi (check the back of the router for info to connect), AC, and electronic door lock (no need to carry room keys around). - The bed and pillows were comfortable. Cons: - Can't turn on the electric stove and AC or Fan at the same time. You will lose electricity right away, then you need to contact the front desk, so they can contact the building engineer. Depending on the engineer's schedule/location, you could sit in the dark for more than 30mins. - The building is old + wood kitchen cabinets + beach area = few cockroaches! Highly recommend washing everything you use in the kitchen. - Room size. The room looked a little bigger in the picture. There is about a foot between the kitchen area/wall and bed. Hardly any space to open your luggage, the fridge, or hang your clothes. Overall, we had a great stay for the price and the host was very nice. I would not recommend this for family stay, honeymooners or groups more than 2 people. It's just too small. I recommend it for people who will hardly be in the room all day in a great location to be in.

Comments: Cute place which was perfect for our stay. Loved that we had beach chairs, a cooler and towels to use on the beach. We decided to rent a car and was able to park at the hotel for $17/day, which is affordable given most places are upwards of $25. Great location a block away from the beach and close to many shops and restaurants. Judith - thanks for a great stay!

Comments: We really enjoyed the location of Judith's place, right on Waikiki Beach (Zoo end) and everything was within walking distance, bus stop is literally less than a minutes walk if you want to check out the other sites away from the beach. The sundeck is great for sunrises and sunsets, the views are to die for. The room was good for us as we were out most of the time and we did utilise the kitchen for breakfasts. If you are looking for space, then you may need to look elsewhere. In relation to the air con noise, it wasn't bad as some reviewers have mentioned. All in all a great little place in a wonderful location. Thanks for a great stay, mahalo!

Comments: The room was accurately reflected in the photos, and had everything we needed for our longer stay in Waikiki. It was a smaller room, but a good size for just two people and the room is strategically arranged to work for the furniture provided. The location is excellent and easy to access the beach. We really appreciated having the beach towels, cooler and chairs provided from the room. There were no noise problems, and we used the stove most days and it worked well.

Comments: Pros- -Excellent location. So close to the beach, restaurants, bars, and a central location for driving all over the island. Starbucks and the ABC store are right outside the hotel which was great. -Parking- $17 a day was a deal for right on Waikiki and we used our car every day. -Clean, well decorated -Provided beach towels and boogie boards -10th floor deck had beautiful views of Waikiki and diamond head. Better in the morning because sunset is not really visible from the deck but it's easy to walk down to the beach for sunset. There is a patio but the view is of the AC Unit so we ended up on the deck every day. -Wifi and cable worked well. -Nice to have the kitchenette although we didn't really end up using it. Cons- -Mattress was pretty terrible. There were large dips on each side of the mattress and hard to get a good nights sleep. Also seemed like the mattress was slanted and felt like I was falling off every morning. If it wasn't for this the stay would have been great. -There is a pool at the hotel, but it was pretty green and not too tempting to take a dip in. But the beach is right across the street and that's really what you are there for. -I think the neighbors have pet birds. We heard A LOT of bird noises. -Although snorkeling gear was provided, most of it was broken.

Comments: Despite a wee hiccup on the first night which was beyond Judith's control and to which she responded / remedied very quickly the following morning, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the condo. It was perfect for me as a solo traveller and I felt totally at home there. The location is stunning and the views from the terrace towards Diamond Head, the zoo and Queens Beach unbeatable. Considering how busy the place is there isn't really too much noise and there is just a great atmosphere all round. Plenty of places to eat / drink within 5-10 mins, excellent buses to get you most if not all places, and oh yes the infamous ABC stores!! Fun, fun, fun. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Jusith for the use of your place.

Comments: My husband and I had the most beautiful stay in Judith's apartment. Whilst small, it is very comfortable and it is in an absolutely fantastic location, literally across the road from the beautiful Waikiki beach as well as parkland including the zoo. There are many fantastic eateries close by as well. The apartment had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, and the views from the top floor sun deck (of the building) over diamond head were magical. Judith was a very receptive host, and we found her really easy to contact and incredibly helpful. We wish we could go back every year!

Comments: Would highly recommand to stay in this apartment. It is close to everything important and this in walking distance. The apartment is small, cosy and very clean. The bed was very comfy and it also was never too hot bc of the fan and A/C. Judith was also concerned to offer her help if something was wrong, which we never needed bc everything was fine.

Comments: Great location! Literally half a block to the beach (we liked the non walled side). The condo had beach chairs and a cooler which was great. The space is definitely small but by the end we were enjoying reaching a beer in the fridge from bed. Not a lot of space for suitcases or unpacking but if you're staying 5 days or less it's fine. Pre paid for parking but we arrived after 10pm and no hotel staff were present so we had to park at the zoo since we didn't know which parking spot was ours, the next morning I told the lady at reception and she refunded one day no problem! Highly recommend the 10th floor rooftop patio for breakfast!

Comments: Do NOT stay here if you like electricity! We had several electrical outages during our stay. After attempting to reach Judith via two emails, text, and also voicemail, she finally got back to me after several hours in which she replied, "It was out of her control," and to try using less power. She admitted that it had previously been a problem with other guests and must be because of the renovations they were doing in the building. That is something I feel should have been disclosed in the listing because knowing that the electricity could go out would have affected my decision to stay there. Throughout our stay, the electricity shut off repeatedly whenever we used the blow dryer, microwave, etc. and because the electrical circuits were connected to others in the building the electricity could go out when others used too much power so it was completely out of our control. We were scared to watch TV, use the microwave, or anything of the sort because we were afraid the power would cut out. There was a ton of noise in the building and we were awoken many nights by people yelling in the halls, fire alarms going off in the wee hours of the morning (happened twice). Also, the ceiling light would mysteriously turn on several times during the night so we would get woken up by a bright light shining right in our faces. Honestly, it was one of the worst places we've ever stayed and certainly the worst Airbnb place we've stayed at. I feel like she was dishonest in not telling people upfront about the electrical problems that she was aware of and that other guests had experienced these issues.

Comments: This place was AWESOME. Pros: - clean - affordable - across from Waikiki Beach - good location - Judith provided a lot of things you might need on a trip Cons: - Really loud AC unit (but we are heavy sleepers so it wasn't a problem) - firm mattress (this is a personal preference so it is a con for us but may be a pro for anyone else) - Water heater was not consistent (sometimes the showers were just barely warm) - Fairly small (wasn't a problem for us, but may be for others) Our trip to Hawaii was completely out of the blue. My friends and I booked our trip when we found out BIGBANG would be performing a fanmeet/concert in Honolulu. With that being said, we spent almost all our money on the resale concert tickets and had very little left over for a room. Judith's place was the solution to all of our problems. Not only was it super affordable, it was clean and comfortable. Although the room is in an older building, everything else about it is very new and clean (which is the number 1 thing I'm looking for when I'm booking a room). I loved that Judith made sure to get us the code to get into the room early (before we even arrived in Hawaii). We didn't even need to ask/remind her that we'd be there soon. She made it so there was ZERO stress getting into the room after a long flight to get some rest. She also checked in on us halfway through our visit to make sure everything was going well, which we also really appreciated/weren't expecting. Judith provided some shampoos, lotions, etc, which was super nice of her because we had nothing when we got to the room but were too tired to go shopping right away. The room also had a little kitchenette, which we thought we would use but actually didn't touch at all. The food in Hawaii was so awesome that we ate out at least three meals a day. However, Judith supplies everything you would need in case you do want to cook. She also provided an umbrella and rain ponchos, which we didn't even think about before we got to Hawaii, but we were super appreciative of after we got there. We also ended up using her beach towels in addition to our own, alternating. Otherwise, we barely spent any time in the hotel room. We were only there for sleeping. We paid for parking through the hotel (which was $17/day). In hindsight, we shouldn't have done that because we were so rarely at the hotel. Our car was only parked for the 7-8 hours that we were sleeping, so we would have saved money if we parked across the street at the zoo ($1/hour). With that being said, it was sort of nice to have the car just downstairs so we could get going as soon as possible.

The place itself is a little small, but comfortable for two people if you do not plan to be in the room long. They have everything you need there for you though including a cooler, beach towels, boogie boards, beach bags, etc. They thought of everything! The location itself if incredible!!!! Very close to Waikiki, just a few seconds of a walk, with a ton of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Separately arranged parking with building management was very convenient. Comments: Judith's place was as described, half a block from Waikiki and within walking distance to virtually everything you'd want to see in Waikiki. One advice I can give is if you do rent a car and park at the Grand Waikiki, ideally rent a compact car. As Judith mentions in her description (clearly I did not read it fully) the garage is tight and you go down/come up a fairly steep slope. We rented a mustang and it was tight. Great experience for the start of our honeymoon, we would definitely stay there again!

Comments: We took the "Speedy" shuttle from the airport $15/person. As the shuttle pulled up, I could see the beach/ocean and I knew it was going to be the perfect place for us! The unit is very well put together and it's perfect for 2 (Website hidden by Airbnb) is on the small side but, again, it was perfect for my husband and I. The owners thought of everything: 2 nice sand chairs that recline, boogie boards, a real cooler (not a styrofoam one), really nice beach towels and really nice bath towels/washcloths! This listing was just as the owners have it listed and all the great reviews state. We loved that is was only one block to the beach! It was a great unit in Honolulu -especially for the price!

Comments: My husband and I stayed at this accommodation for 2 weeks. We were so excited to get to Hawaii, we had always wanted to go and it finally happened. After arriving to the hotel with our rental car we had to pay for parking under the hotel. The parking garage was VERY tiny, if you are not good with parking or backing in, this is not the parking place for you. Parking was super expensive there. We later found out that people parked across the street at the Zoo because they didn't charge to park. I really wish we would have known that and saved ourselves $250.00 (YIKES). Anyhow, the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. We got to our room and put our code in to get inside, after opening the door I knew I was going to feel claustrophobic and overwhelmed the whole time. We had to big bags which fit underneath the hanging entertainment center, however it just made it seem even smaller. There was just enough room between the desk and bed to walk, between the entertainment center and bed, and then just enough space to open the fridge. We knew it would be small but I guess I didn't realize it from the photos. Of course, the size of the room is not a bad things, however if you are someone that doesn't like tight spaces and get overwhelmed it may be to small. Anyhow, after getting in the room I noticed the floor had sand and what not all over it. The cleaning lady came by and there was some confusion with her. I called the host who talked with me about the issue and said they would come by and check it out, which they did. After that I just cleaned it up. We had to end up cleaning the air conditioner filter out because our allergies were going crazy after a few days there. I had to clean out the fridge and freezer because there was food left in there. The host did provide several toiletries which was super helpful if someone forgets things. The description for this room explains the electrical issue with the microwave, stove top, and hairdryer. However, on 2 separate occasions, I used the microwave and the stove top at the same time and immediately it trip the breaker. Once that happened, we had to walk down stairs and ask them to turn it back on. The hotel does have a trash chute but it is only open 8am to 9pm which I thought was very weird. Anyhow, the hotel was located right across the street from the beach, right next to a Starbucks and had 2 restaurants inside of it. Along the beach there was numerous restaurants and shops so we just walked to them. Driving in that area is a pain and on several occasions we almost got hit by a tour bus. Our personal opinion of Waikiki was that is was...

Many reviews say it’s small, which is accurate, but it’s quaint enough and you can still make your meals in the little kitchenette. It was truly great. Comments: Great location and a comfortable, clean and modern place to stay. The room is tastefully decorated and pleasant to stay in. It smells nice each time you walk in the door and the host has supplied extras that make your stay helpful, like a cooler, beach bag, extra towels, beach chairs, coffee machine etc. The bed is super comfortable and the hotel/reception staff downstairs are friendly and helpful. Talk to the lobby concierge about tours. Don't miss the views from the 10th floor observation deck. The only draw-back to the room is that the balcony faces buildings and exposes you to the noise of the air-conditioning turbines of the lower floors. However, you miss the noises from the second- floor bar and live music - which would have been worse. Thanks Judith and Danny for a terrific stay.

Comments: Judith's place is awesome. No, really; it's awesome. For people who are in Hawaii to get out and see and do things, or just chillax and maybe go for a dip in the water at the beach; this place is great. It is definitely smaller than a hotel room, but we didn't need space. The room is stocked with everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday, from beach towels and a bag to carry them in, to surf toys to play with while in the water, not to mention, everything you could need to cook in the kitchen, or to get yourself ready for the day in the bathroom. Huge TV to enjoy cable programs on as well. We went to Costco and got a few fixings for Christmas dinner and made a feast right there in the room, and had our meal on the 10th floor veranda overlooking the beach and front and center views of Diamond Head, dining with my 87 year old aunt and my mother on Christmas day and ...seriously...couldn't have asked for anything better. The front desk staff were lovely and the manager really helpful (especially when we blew the breaker on Christmas Day) Thanx for having us, Judith. All the best with your future guests.

Comments: Centrally located in the best part of Waikiki, yes there are a lot of people, but this is the end of the strip so it’s not nearly as packed. This place is a hop, skip and jump to the beautiful beach. Parking on the street is free after 6pm and there’s always some spots, just have to move the car before 7am and the zoo lot is $1 per hour. My boyfriend and I went to Safeway our first night and bought some food, which this air bnb had everything we needed to cook and save some $$ for activities. Seriously, I’m going to miss this place and would suggest to anyone staying for their first time in Waikiki to stay here! The host communicates well and provides many things for you, even slippers, mat, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. There are many shops and restaurants around there. If you rent a car, you can park on the left side of Monsarrat Ave. (by the Zoo) for free but depending on which time of the day. Just make sure you get back to Waikiki before 5 pm or 6 pm to find a parking spot there. The city bus stop is right in front of Waikiki Grand hotel, too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Comments: We traveled to Oahu Hawaii for five days to celebrate our birthday's and had the best time. Judith's place was the perfect location and perfect size for two people. It was literally right off the Waikiki beach, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, transportation etc. We utilized public transportation to and from the airport, and malls with ease, as the bus stops were super close. Judith offered beach towels, chairs, floatys and everything needed for fun in the sun. The balcony added a nice relaxing touch after a long day of outings. Decor was nice and the condo was clean, just as advertised. The hotel (condo inside Waikiki Grand Hotel) staff were friendly, set us up with a snorkeling tour to Hanauma bay, and after check out they kept our luggage until we headed to the airport later that evening. We were even able to get picked up from our hotel to go skydiving at Skydive Hawaii on the North Shore. Judith and the family communicated well, especially prior to our trip. The only concern was that the WiFi did not work for us. However, it wasn't a big deal as we were there for vacation, not work. We had a pleasant stay, the outside environment was lively, but inside was nice and quiet. We recommend others book Judith's place, and we would definitely return upon our next visit!

Comments: Great location, however the bed was pretty hard, which made hiking and other activities hard to do. The view out of the balcony is not diamond head, it's the view from the viewing dock of the hotel.

Comments: Judith’s place is very comfy and perfectly located in Waikiki. All of the details in the home are so helpful when you are on vacation (especially the body board and chairs!). Would highly recommend staying here

Comments: This was a great first time experience for my fiancé and I! We didn’t know what to expect from the outside of the hotel (its bit older of a building) but the room itself had everything you need for a short stay. The location was the highlight for both of us. You are literally a block away (within eyesight) of the beach, right next to the ABC store for convenience of water or snacks, Starbucks around the corner and all sorts of shops and food for any time of day! The only confusion we had was at check in we thought we had to go to the front to check in but it ended up that we just had to go straight to the room and just type the code. We even had good luck finding parking on the street to avoid costs! But again, everything is walkable (we didn’t have a car for the first three days) so a car is not entirely necessary. Finally, if you wanted to do something outdoors and touristy, we walked from this spot to the peak of Diamond Head and back. Round trip is 7 miles. Highly recommend it and it’s easy for anyone of any athleticism! All in all I would say five stars and we will be back :).

Comments: Thank you Judith for letting us stay at your apartment, the room had all the amenities and more importantly was comfortable for the two of us, it felt like a home away from home, situated just meters away from the beach and main shops. ..the staff were friendly and helpful that answered all our questions which made our holiday at this establishment enjoyable, we will definitely be wanting to stay here next time we're in Hawaii Mahalo Marie and Sam

Comments: Judith's studio is perfectly located and had everything that we needed. The Southern end of Waikiki is much less populated, but is still close to everything. The salt water pool is a great spot for a swim at any time of the day. Sunset swims were the best though! TheBus stops and picks up within 50m to 200m, for just about anywhere you want to go. We would happily go back.

Comments: Super stylish! This Airbnb is compact, but was just enough for me and my guest to crash in after a long day exploring the town. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach and easily accessible to eateries and convenient stores. Our only issues was the parking (which is a struggle all over Waikiki), however the parking lot across the street saved us! Would recommend this spot to all of my friends and family.

Comments: Booking this room through Airbnb streamlines the check in process! As advertised, you are steps away from Waikiki Beach and all its lively attractions. Restaurants and convenience stores are everywhere! Our only issue was handled with speed and professionalism. (Lock code). Expect to pay more for Uber and Lyft transportation, if you’re not from a big city. However, it appeared that navigating the city and parking would be nerve wracking. Have fun.

Comments: Exactly what the ad says. It was perfect for me and my wife. But would be too small for anyone traveling with more than just two people.

Comments: The room is very lovely. The location is great and we stayed one week for our honey moon. I will recommend to my friends. Its in side of grand hotel and you can access to hotel facility like laundry and pool etc. You do need to make in advance parking reservation thru hotel for the parking is very limited especially during weekends just as Judith mention when we booked.

Comments: We just checked out of Judith’s place and we had the most wonderful stay. It was an easy check-in process which was nice as our flight didn’t get into Honolulu until about 10pm. Great essentials located in the room which are available to use (beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler) You can’t beat the location... steps from the Starbucks, ABC stores, LuLu’s Bar and most importantly the famous Waikiki Beach! We would highly recommend this Air BnB to anyone looking for a great place to stay at a reasonable price!

Comments: The location is perfect! It is near everything and you have teddy’s ( you just really have to try the burger), tucker and bevvy for smoothies and acai bowls, subway, and a whole lot of restos along the kalakaua road. The beach is just very very near and it is also a few steps away from the bus stop. It is also near ABC convenience store — well, youll see a lot of those across. The nice touches of sunscreen, various sun care products are really nice. I would come back here, definitely!

Comments: Great location! Being on the edge of all the action in a slightly older building and just outside of the more luxurious center of Waikiki meant there were fewer clusters of tourists outside the hotel and driving in and out of the area to go other places was a snap. I walked through Waikiki every night and was happy to return to my room in a slightly less crowded spot with the beach and zoo just across the street. If you’re looking for a 5 Diamond room this isn’t for you, it’s small and in an aging (but well kept) building but if you’re looking for awesome value and a killer location for access to Waikiki shopping, restaurants, and beaches as well as ease of getting in/out of the area this is a great option. The places was clean and had everything I need. I felt safe and comfortable. The only thing I wish it had were cotton sheets instead of microfiber bedding, that stuff was sooooo hot I ended up sleeping on top of two breathable cotton towels but I tend to sleep hot. Parking was also easy to reserve and reasonably priced for the area (just make sure to call ahead and know that the smaller the car the better for tiny city parking stalls). Hope to return!

Comments: Perfect place for two people! We had everything we needed. I wished we had an ocean view but we just went up to the 10th floor to the sundeck. Our favorite part was the location of the hotel. It was right near the park and beach and we were easily able to walk everywhere.

Comments: A beautiful studio at a quiet section of Waikiki Beach - the perfect location! Beautiful view of Diamond Head and sunsets from the 10th floor deck. Judith and Danny have provided all the little extras: cooler, beach chairs, boogie board... A wonderful studio in a quiet building with great staff!

Comments: Judith’s cozy studio is the perfect size for two people! It’s in a great location where all the restaurants, bars, and beaches were walking distance. Judith supplies everything you need to hit the beach: towels, chairs, sunscreen, to name a few. There are also public bikes nearby that you can use to get around which came in handy. I definitely recommend staying here!
