  Comments: Mert is great. He's very kind and friendly. Bostanci is a very nice district, if you need to stay on the asiatic side of istanbul he will provide good tips about how to get around and you wll feel that your are meeting an old friend. I really enjoy the stay.

  Comments: Merit, made me feel welcome before I had even arrived. The area is safe, and very close to all modes of transport. Merely a 5 minute walk from the seabuses and ferries. Close to stores, restaurants, cafes.

  Comments: Mert is a truly pleasant host. He'd do his best to make you feel right at home. He will make sure you are all set (for your exploring this foreign country that is) before he sets you free and be on your own. He tries his beat to answer your every query and when has free time, would try to meet up with you. [Twas a shame we didn't get to spend more time together even during the parties/events that we were already attending at the same time. Would've been nice to be with a friend.] If you're not up to walking a few hundred meters to and from the main (transport) road, or you mind walking an inclined path, or you don't think you could handle seagulls in chorus every morning, or you require a very big space in the bedroom or bathroom, or you want to be literally minutes or walking distance from the touristy spots, this might not be the place for you. Otherwise, if you want laid-back, a modest and comfortable bed, healthy muesli and milk with grated chocolates in the morning (haha), a friendly host, and a quiet and unpacked (with tourists that is) neighborhood, then Mert's place is a good option.   Comments: Staying with Mert is such a right decision I have made. Mert is kind, open and very helpful. His house is located in a quiet neighborhood on the Asian side of Istanbul, right next to the sea, but it's also easy to access to the bus and take a short cab to the metro station. The house is neat and clean, and moreover, it's comfortable and cozy. If u are tired of a bustling surrounding and want to experience the original Turkey, to stay in Mert's place will be a right thing to do. Mert 是一个十分热心而又开放的人,他的房子位于一个安静的社区里走四五分钟就到海边了,但又靠近商业区和公共交通,房子里简单而且干净整洁,坐公车或地铁都很方便｡假如你已经厌烦住在挤满旅客的区域,又或者想体验当地的安静生活,去跟Mert一块住｡

  Comments: I had a very short, one night stay of less than 24 hours but felt at home as soon as I arrived. Mert is a very kind and welcoming host, who tries his best to make you feel comfortable in his very neat and tidy home. The apartment is very well located to all modes of public transport for wherever you want to go in Istanbul. Mert is not only a great host but also an intelligent guy with a good soul. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend him to anyone.

  Comments: My stay at Merts place was thoroughly enjoyable. The Apartment is spacious, offering exactly things as per the description: a bedroom and a living room. I had my absolute privacy, but at the same time had a fabulous interaction with the host. You can talk about many things with him. He is really nice!. The breakfast you can make whatever you feel like as Mert has all the stuff in his refrigerator. Mert takes personal care and makes sure things are maintained in a clean way. The location is unbeatable, in the midst of all places, close to harbour as well as metro subway. The best part is that he is always available and keeps in touch through (Hidden by Airbnb) and phone call. He is indeed a very good and caring host as he personally came to receive me at the harbour when is was snow storm in Istanbul. On the whole to have one of the most friendliest BnB option in Bostanci, you don't have to think twice to book this place.

  Comments: Halis was very nice and friendly man . Although I am an airbnb host, this my fist time staying at airbnb. I had the best time with Halis , He offered me coffee and tea, then he showed me around the city and the local area . His place is very nice, clean and close to everything . I loved it!!. I will stay there again the next t time I visit Istanbul .

  Comments: Mert was such a wonderful host. He helped me with all my travel plans and in any way possible when I had questions. I also enjoyed his friends and we were able to do Pilates one day at the house since one friend is an instructor in this. I went out with Mert and his friends for dinner and coffee and enjoyed this time. He even arranged for me to stay with his brother and family in another city here which was very helpful. This is in Kusadasi(Ephesus). He prepared breakfast for me that was delicious with coffee too. There was always water available to drink and anything else that I needed. His place was very clean and he offered to wash clothes for me. This was so nice of him. The area were he lives is near the sea with incredible views of the islands. It was easy to take transport from here also. Great host and new friend! I will be back soon to visit my new friends in this beautiful, peaceful city.

  Comments: Mert var en rigtig god vært. Svarede altid på diverse henvendelser og var utrolig hjælpsom, uanset hvilke spørgsmål jeg havde. Mert gjorde derudover oplevelsen meget nemmere og bedre ved at komme med gode råd, både omkring hvilke ting der kunne være interessante at se, men også i forhold til hvordan man transportere sig nemmere rundt i byen. Det var nemt at komme til lejligheden fra lufthavnen og værten var altid til at få fat på. Sagt med få ord: Mert var en fantastisk og behjælpelig vært!

The home located in a near public transportation, just a 5-10 min walking distance, Bostanci area. The rooms are big and clean, as described by host. Mert is a very benevolent and sympathetic person, who care about all details for your stay, i also would like to recomend him

  Comments: Mert's place is in a nice quiet residential area that is near cafes and the beautiful water side. The place is roomy and spacious. The room itself has a very comfy bed too. It's great for me as I have back issues. I sleep so well there. There's access to a full kitchen and a store just a few meters away if you need some food items. More than anything Mert is such a helpful, kind man who will assist in any way. He responds quickly to any question and is very helpful with information about public transportation which is great. I've met his mom this time and she is very kind too and cooked several meals for us. She treated me like family just as Mert does. It's near public transport and you can reach taxi, bus, metro or boat in just a few minutes. This was my second stay with Mert and I will stay again with him. Enjoy!

  Comments: I am so happy I decided to stay at Mert's place. It was a last minute booking as my plans suddenly changed. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Mert is a great host. He is very helpful, attentive, and always available to answer questions. He goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. I felt like I was staying with a long time friend. The apartment is in quiet neighborhood kind of in the middle of a very busy area. It's near the seaside and a main road where you can ride a mini bus to many parts of Kadikoy. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, and comfy. Mert gave me free roam in his home. I had access to the kitchen and fridge, wash machine, living room, balconies, you name it. To sum it up, I will always consider Mert's place whenever I am in Istanbul. And if I don't stay at his place, I will still call him to see if he wants to hang out!!!

  Comments: For a short stay booking, Mert's place was perfect! Located in quiet neighborhood in Bostanci, not far away from Main Street with taxi/public transport to reach anywhere in Istanbul. The rooms are spacious with access to all facilities and amenities. Mert is truly a super host, very hospitable & helpful with everything. Though it was late booking, Mert ensured smooth checkin & had great recommendation of local places to eat. Would definitely recommend lodging with Mert!

  Comments: Best airbnb experience I've ever had! Mert was an absolute legend. It was my first time in Turkey and I couldn't have had a better person to introduce me to the country. He was very hospitable, a great communicator and always eager for me to hang out with him and show me around.   Comments: Logeren bij Mert was een geweldige ervaring ! Mert is een zeer goede host en een fantastisch mens ! De communicatie was uitmuntend en zorgde ervoor dat alles zeer duidelijk was en het appartement gemakkelijk te bereiken. Mert was ook altijd bereikbaar en bereid om te helpen. De buurt is zeer leuk en gezellig en ik ben heel blij dat ik daar verbleef. Ook gaf Mert zeer goede tips over wat wel en wat niet te doen. Bij terugkeer zou ik niet twijfelen en sowieso daar teruggaan :) !

  Comments: Halis is a great host, always responded quickly to my questions. The room was comfortable, clean and located in a quiet residential area. About 15 minutes walk from metro and ferry stop. I would definitely stay there again! Halis on suurepärane võõrustaja. Ta vastas alati kiiresti kõigile mu küsimustele. Tuba oli mugav, puhas ja asus vaikses elurajoonis. Umbes 15 minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel metroo- ja praamipeatusest. Võimalusel peatuksin tema juures taas!

  Comments: I had an amazing stay at Mert's home. The first evening he cooked me a delicious dinner, which I didn't expect, and after we had a great conversation for a few hours, he's a very interesting and open guy with a great sense of humour. The bed is very comfortable. On the last day I went to his school and enjoyed teaching his adorable students. It was a pleasure to meet and get to know him. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Istanbul. One more thing about the area. It's very local and you'll experience the real Istanbul life away from the tourist traps and selfie sticks.
