  Comments: Maria and Joesph were incredibly welcoming and we really appreciated their welcome platter! Their apartment was simply amazing and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We were very impressed with the beds, bathrooms and various levels of balconies that overlooked Barcelona. The flat was 4 stops on the metro from the centre and maybe 6 stops from Barceloneta and a short stroll to Park Güell. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be definitely returning to Barcelona and Maria/Joesph's flat.

  Comments: Nous avons eu un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires L'appartement est magnifique, bien décoré et en excellent état. Il y a tout le confort nécessaire (air conditionné, lave linge, lave vaisselle, parking) et les 3 terrasses sont très appréciables. La dernière terrasse permet une vue sur Barcelone et la mer. Le quartier est calme ce qui est très appréciable. L'appartement est proche des commerçants et d'une station de métro située sur la ligne principale qui dessert les principaux sites touristiques. Nous recommandons cet appartement pour un séjour réussi sur Barcelone

  Comments: Great apartment, ideal for staying in Barcelona, metro is really close, one store is 30 meter from apartment and work until midnight. It is really close to center of Barcelona. We really enjoyed our stay there. Owners are really pleasant and polite and very flexible about check-in and check-out. Communication with them is great and they will help you if anything you need or want to see in Barcelona. We can't say nothing else except we are hoping that we will visit Barcelona once again at least and we are going for sure stay in Marias apartment.

  Comments: El lugar perfecto para un estancia en Barcelona, para un grupo de mas de 5-6 personas ya sea familias, amigos etc, Economicamente sin punto de comparacion y con una calidad inmensa. Duplex de ensueño, muy limpio, bien equipado, limpieza exquisita. La localizacion es perfecta, a 10 min del parque Guell, a 5 min de la parada del Metro ( Linea 3 q llega a las Ramblas en poco tiempo) con un Establecimiento de comida mediterranea para llevar a 100 metros ( muy recomendable), y a pesar de la buena situacion, muy tranquilo, para descansar por la snoches o para disfrutar de un buen desayuno en algunas de sus 3 terrazas. La recepcion por parte de la dueña fue perfecta...Recomendable 100 %. Volveria otra vez. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The perfect place for a stay in Barcelona, for a group of 5-6 people over ..whether family, friends gruops etc, Really economic place if you compare with a Hotel. Very clean, well equipped, . The location is perfect, 10 min to Guell Park, 5 minutes from the subway stop (Line 3 that reaches the Ramblas in short time) with a Mediterranean food take away establishment 100 meters (highly recommended), and despite of good location, very quiet, to rest at night or enjoy having a breakfast in some of its 3 terraces. The reception from the owner was perfect ... Recommended 100%.

  Comments: Maria,s flat is perfect with excellent location if you do not like to be in a touristic area. When we travel, we prefer to feel local people and gain access to good local shops for food. There is a great tapa,s bar nearby and many stores offering fresh fish, meat, bakery, wine and anything else you might want. We where six people and enjoyed the comfort of this home away from home. The Metro is very close and you are 10 minutes from the centre of the touristic areas. If you would rather walk, this is also perfect - a 7minute walk and you are on Grand de Gracia for shopping. We recommend this apartment and our host Maria and her mother. The flat is Ideal for 2 couples with children, but big enough for 6 or7 adults. Barcelona is a great place to visit and we will most likely return next year. All in all, a great experience. Francois and Irina

  Comments: The apartment is absolutely stunning and has everything you'd need for a very comfortable stay in Barcelona. It's fully equipped, has loads of space including about 4 terraces/balconies with spectacular views of all of Barcelona down to the sea. In addition, it is very well located in a beautiful area of Barcelona that is convenient to all of the major attractions. Lastly, Maria was a wonderful host and made sure we had a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a larger, beautiful, welcoming place to stay, this apartment is perfect and is also a great value for money.

  Comments: Maria's apartment is truly spectacular penthouse quality! We were thrilled! Two large master suites (one up and own down) with double beds and totally amazing in-suite bathrooms, plus two bedrooms with twin beds, along with several wonderful terraces for al fresco dining or sunbathing, weather permitting. The kitchen is fully equipped and also includes a washer and dryer. Our family of three had plenty of room to spare. The wi-fi connection was very good. It's a perfect apt. for two couples! The location is in a quiet, safe neighborhood and near two metro stops. A full grocery, wonderful bakery, meat and seafood shops are all within close walking distance. We can recommend the Mangana restaurant (just a couple blocks away) for tapas! Maria will respond quickly to any questions you may have. Maria and Josep met us, and were helpful and delightful, giving us a tour of the neighborhood. The apt is near Gaudi's Park Guell. Other sights and the city center will require the metro or a taxi, but we found the metro very convenient and inexpensive and had no safety concerns. If you buy the BCN (Barcleona) card all public transportation is included. Otherwise, purchase a 10-ride metro ticket for a discount. Don't miss the Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter) at night - it's enchanting! We highly recommend Maria's apt!!

  Comments: We really loved to be there. Location is awesome! The apartment is very big, with lot of light and fresh air. Bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms are all very comfortable. Our favorite place was dining room. Where we loved to spend evenings:) Nearby except Guell Park there are also Putxet Park, sport club and a lot of bakeries. And the place is very quiet and uncrowded. So highly recommend! Better than a hotel!

  Comments: This was a brilliant stay thanks in no smal part to Maria's fab apartment The location introduced us to a whole new side of Barcelona Gracia and the neighbourhood was very local and friendly. The many terraces were perfect fr soaking up the sun and was roomy enough for 6 of us to have enough individual space..There was a great selection of delis especially if one walked downhill to Fontana and the views of the hills from eh flat were stunning Everything worked well Maria was super responsive and assisted us promptly when any questions arose. Heartily recommend it for a stay in BCN! The wifi was strong and the big showerheads were strong and there's a jacuzzi bath too!

Tucked up near the Parc Guel but only a very short metro ride from the very centre of Barcelona, Maria's flat offers such fantastic views from its top terrace that we occasionally found it difficult to actually go out... Maria was a great host, greeting us when we got in and more than happy to offer help and advice on how best to enjoy our time in the city. And the welcome pack in the fridge was the icing on the cake!

  Comments: We are very happy with our stay in this apartment, very convenient arrangement, 5 min. to the subway, nearby are a mini-market, cafe and grocery little shops, a place silent, but is subcentral and 3-4 stops on the subway or by a taxi are convenient to reach 10-15 min. there, to park Guel went on foot. The apartment caused our admiration - spacious, perfectly furnished, there is all necessary for rest and cooking, the kitchen perfectly approaches to make a breakfast, a dinner or the dinner, a convenient drawing room with TV, a fireplace, a sofa and a table - there we had comfortably a rest after walks around the city, convenient bedrooms, 2 of them are on one floor, 2 - on B'day with convenient beds, us were 7 people and all comfortably took place.   Comments: This apartment was much more than advertised and we can't say enough about how this place really make our stay that much better. The place was immaculate and worked great for our family of 3. Maria was very communicative with us prior to the visit and greeted us upon our arrival. Maria have given a lot of thought to the furnishings -- which made our stay even that much more fabulous. The apartment is on a quiet street but very close to the L3 metro and a vibrant commercial area with lots of cafes, markets, etc. quickly accessible. Highly recommend this apartment.

  Comments: Our family of 6 spent one week in Maria's apartment. She is the perfect host and was always very helpful if we needed anything. The apartment is beautiful, clean and in a good location. Everything you need, and then some, is there. We had plenty of space. Mostly we enjoyed the rooftop terrace. One night Maria and her husband gave us a lesson in making Paella and Sangria, which were both delicious. While they were cooking, we learned a lot about Spain and Barcelona. I recommend to taking advantage of this lesson. It was a perfect place and a perfect host. We had great time. Wish we could have stayed much longer and hope to go back one day.

  Comments: This house is such a gem! The house comfortably accommodated four adults and one child (22 months)- Maria even provided a cot/crib for our little one. There are five terraces in total, including one with a dining table and canopy off the living area and the rooftop terrace with 360 degree views of the city. We used them daily and found it enhanced our Barcelona experience. We found the local metro stop to be on a convenient line (L3); it got us to most downtown locations without the need to transfer. Maria was helpful and responsive with any questions we had during our stay, and even during preparing for the trip. We would highly recommend a stay here!

  Comments: Great apartment in Gracia, a wonderful neighbourhood with plenty going on. Maria was really helpful, sorting out any concerns quickly and without fuss. The apartment is beautiful, and the roof terraces are really useful, we ended up eating there almost every night. We stayed as a group of 10 adults, and while being a little bit cosy at times we all fit in fine, which is certainly an achievement. In short, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

  Comments: A five star accommodation! Beautiful, well-kept, high end styled home. Maria could not have been more accommodating. She met us herself and took us on a tour and showed us how everything worked. She had a bottle of cava, some snacks and even milk and orange juice in the fridge for us. How very thoughtful. She made sure we could get in touch with her if we needed to. There were many booklets available for our information on things to do and see in Barcelona. There were lots of towels and blankets and sheets at our disposal. The apartment is fully equipped to very high standards including wi-fi and has three beautiful terraces plus a big area with clotheslines. We were 2 couples and 2 single people sharing the apartment and we had plenty of room, even could have had a couple more people with us. The air conditioning was a great asset for sleeping after a busy day of touring in late August and the elevator went right to our door. The metro was walking distance away and there were many shops of all kinds in the area. We have only positive comments to make on our stay in Maria’s apartment. If we ever go back to Barcelona we will not consider staying anywhere else. If you can rent this lovely apartment you will be very happy there.   Comments: Octobre 2013 - Très bel appartement, très agréable ... Nous y avons séjourné pendant 3 semaines avec nos 2 enfants et sommes contents de notre séjour. Le seul bémol est qu il est un peu compliqué d accès avec des grandes poussettes (marche à monter ; ascenseur et palier étroit). Le parking est quant à lui pratique : nous avons un van, ce fut un peu compliqué, mais on s en est sortis ... Par contre, si vous n avez pas ce type de contraintes, l'appartement est super. Quant à Maria, elle est très sympa, disponible et arrangeante. Donc, le bilan est positif, et l appartement conforme à la description/photos. Merci Maria !!!

  Comments: The apartment is as lovely as one can judge by photo and is twice bigger than I thought it would be. There is a huge terrace perfect place for breakfast and dinner for the whole company (we were 6). Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you can think of. Location is on a quiet street, 5 minutes afoot from Parc Guell and 5 minutes from metro station. And there is a parking on the ground floor. We had Fiat Scudo van, and it was able to fit the parking (with a little bit of precise work), but for the city the better option is scooter or metro. We are happy with the trip, thanks a lot, Maria!

She was kind enough to call taxis for our group since our language skills weren't the best. The apartment was spectacular and located on a lovely quiet neighborhood near the Parc Guell.   Comments: Wow, wow, wow!! This is the place to stay in Barcelona. You'll be 5 minutes from the metro, near shops and restaurants, and a 15 minute walk from the Park Güell. Then there is the apartment itself. You truly feel that Maria has opened her home to you. It is luxurious and occupies the top floor of the building (don't worry, there is a lift) with wonderful views from terraces and the roof. The accommodations are SO comfortable from the beds to the baths. Maria could not be more kind and had some goodies waiting for us in the fridge. I hope to return someday soon, and this is where I'll want to stay!

  Comments: Nous avons passé un week-end prolongé de 3 jours dans l'appartement de Maria. Malheureusement pour nous ils correspondaient à 3 journées de pluie torrentielle... Nous avons donc d'autant plus profité de cet appartement vaste et superbement bien équipé. Nous étions un groupe de 7 amis, venus fêter les 30 ans de mon mari. Nous étions 2 couples et 3 personnes seules, ce qui a mon sens est le maximum pour que le confort reste parfait. L'appartement comporte en effet 2 belles suites parentales (chambre + salle de bain), mais le fait qu'il faille traverser ces chambres pour que chacun puisse accéder aux salles de bain est a prendre en compte. Les terrasses sont exceptionnelles, et doivent être un réel bonheur lorsque le temps s'y prête ! La localisation de l'appartement est très agréable, dans un joli quartier résidentiel qui vaut le détour, à proximité du métro direct pour plaça catalunya, avec un accès facile à pieds au parc Guell et pour les plus courageux au centre ville (même sous la pluie !). Nous y retournerons sans hésiter lors de notre prochain passage a Barcelone. Merci Maria !

  Comments: Swietne mieszkanie. Spędziliśmy w nim święta całą rodziną. Razem spało tam 8 osób. Taras na dachu jest niesamowity. Poza tym pralka i suszarka pomogły znacząco. Jest DVD więc można wziąć dla dzieci jakieś filmy. Nieopodal jest też Puxtet Sport - czyli basen i siłownia gdzie dostałem karnet na 5 wstępów za 25 Euro. Polecam

  Comments: (english below) Excellent sur tous les points : l'appartement est magnifique, plus grand encore qu'on pensait, les terrasses sont superbes (vue sur la mer, sur toute la ville et même sur le parc Guell !), nous étions 6 (2 couples et 2 personnes seules) et avions quand même chacun notre intimité, le niveau de confort est excellent de la literie au salon, la localisation est excellente (15 minutes max du centre en métro et 30 minutes pour ceux qui aiment marcher), présence de tous les commerces (fruiterie, boucherie, etc.) et petits restaurants de quartier à quelques minutes aussi. Les tous petits bémols seraient que les accessoires de cuisine ne sont pas de la même qualité que le reste, que le lecteur de DVD est un peu vieux et que malheureusement pour nous il y a avait des travaux dans l'immeuble (mais pas trop tôt). Mais tout ceci est vraiment secondaire par rapport à la qualité globale du séjour. Je recommande cet appartement chaleureusement à tous les niveaux, c'est un excellent rapport qualité / prix et Maria était super gentille ! ------ Great at every level : the apartment is wonderful, spacious and very pretty, the terrasses (yes! plural!) have the most amazing view and are great to chill out, the six of us (2 couples and 2 people alone) had enough privacy because of the lay out of the place and the number of bathrooms, the beds and the living room were extremely comfortable, the location is great (15 minutes from downtown with the metro and 30 minutes if you like walking) and you can find great shops and restaurants 2 minutes away. The only tiny littles things were that the kitchen was not the same quality as the rest, the DVD player is getting old and unfortunately there was some construction going on in the building at the time we were there. But all of this is seriously secondary, everything else makes up for it and I would recommend this place anytime, we had a WONDERFUL experience overall, it's very reasonably priced and Maria was super nice!!

The location is very convenient with 5 minutes' walk to metro station.   Comments: This was an amazing four days. We began our Barcelona adventure in this apartment and finished with a conference at a hotel. The entire time we were at the hotel we wished we had just stayed at the apartment. It is in a great neighborhood, very close to a subway line that takes you right into the heart of things, and you can't beat the incredible view from the rooftop terrace. I highly recommend staying here.

  Comments: This felt like a perfect match for five guys on a football and big city weekend. First we experienced a very nice welcoming by Maria's husband and mother-in-law. Second, the pictures do not lie. Good facilities both inside and outside. Not all beds were super comfortable, but for three days it was good enough. Sadly, we had just two hours of sun, but those were wisely spent on Maria's roof terrace. Wonderful spot!

J'avais opté pour l'appartement de Maria car il correspondait à nos exigences : un parking, plusieurs chambres à pouvoir utiliser en single ou à 2 et plusieurs salles de bain. L'appartement est splendide, il correspond tout à fait à la description publiée sur le site. Il reflette la personnalité de Maria : accueillant, fonctionnel, très ordonné et très propre. Tout est parfait. On se sent chez soi ou plutôt on a l'impression d'être chez de très bons amis qui mettent à disposition tout ce qu'ils ont pour vous rendre un séjour agréable. Quant à Maria et à son époux, ils sont vraiment charmants, très disponibles et attentionnés. Ils sont de très bon conseil pour itinéraires, restaurants et tout autre bon plan. Nous avons vraiment beaucoup apprécié leurs conseils. Dernière chose à préciser : l'appartement est dans un quartier calme, avec de superbes terrasses, très proche du métro comme le précise le site et à 2 pas du parc Guell. Puis si l'on préfère se déplacer en taxi (très abordable à Barcelone) en 5, 10 minutes on se retrouve sur la Rambla! Nous habitons dans le sud de la France et il nous arrive d'aller à Barcelonce pour quelques jours. Je reviendrai chez Maria et je conseillerai son appartement à mes amis. Excellent à tout point de vue. N'hésitez pas à contacter Maria, vous ne serez pas déçus.

Lägenheten var välstädad och motsvarade beskrivningen fullt ut. Vi var två familjer som bodde på var sin våning vilket fungerade utmärkt. Eftersom lägenheten ligger en bit från centrum så var omgivningen lugn vilket passade perfekt för oss barnfamiljer. The bathrooms were winners, fancy showers and roomy, a rarity in Europe! Everything was clean and well equipped, fast internet is always a welcome addition. The location is ard 12 mins taxi ride from Passeig del Garcia and 20 mins hike to Parc Guell with plenty of patisseries, small cafes, banks, convenience store and taxi stands in between. Maria made us feel very welcome both in our correspondence before the trip and at check in, and was kind enough not to charge extra for a very late check in (our plane was delayed). There were four of us in the apartment and there was so much room with two bathrooms and lots of bedrooms. We were given a welcome pack of milk, water, a bottle of cava and a box of delicious chocolates. We booked this in March this year and every time I messaged Maria I received a quick response to my questions. Our outward flight was delayed but when I messaged Maria she responded immediately to say that her mother would wait for us and there was no problem. Maria had advised that she would be away during our visit but her mother would be at the apartment. Upon arrival at the apartment we were met by Maria's mother who was extremely welcoming and a lovely lady. She explained where everything was in the apartment and pointed out the shop on the corner and restaurants. There is a comprehensive amount of information in the apartment about Barcelona. The apartment is very well placed, the metro station within walking distance, direct line into Catalunya. Parc Guell very close by. Beautiful views from the solarium and lovely terraces where we ate outside almost every day for breakfast and drinks before going out for dinner. As our flight home was not until late in the evening and check out is at 11 am, Maria's mother took our luggage to the garage and kept it safely in her car which enabled us to have the whole day in Barcelona without our cases. When we returned to pick up the cases Maria's mother insisted on taking us to the airport in her car. We had of course planned on getting a taxi. Upon arrival at the airport she did not even want any money but we insisted. How kind was that! We would all thoroughly recommend Maria's apartment. Excellent accommodation and friendly host.

The apartment was very well appointed and very spacious over two floors with three outdoor balcony/ patio areas plus a roof terrace!. The neighbourhood was peaceful with a local shop open until 23:00 every day and there are plenty of excellent tapas places close by. The flat is also only a short walk from the Metro. Overall our stay was very good, relaxing and convenient and I'd recommend the property for friends and families.

It's a beautiful 2-story penthouse (ático) apartment, with lots of sunlight and patios all having great views of the city.   Comments: Un séjour parfait dans l'appartement de Maria. Nous avons été accueillis par sa maman, ponctuelle, arrangeante et très claire (à condition de parler espagnol... Ce qui était notre cas). À une vingtaine de minute de l'aéroport en taxi, le trajet se fait sans problème. La rue de l'appartement, dans les hauteurs de Barcelone, fait penser à un san francisco méditerranéen, les taxis ne connaissent pas forcément l'endroit mais ils ont toujours fini par trouver! L'appartement en lui même présente une distribution idéale pour les aperos au soleil ou les dîners sous les étoiles avec le superbe toit terrasse. Le vis à vis est quasi inexistant et on se sent rapidement chez soi. Nous étions 4 couples de trentenaires et le nombre de chambres étaient idéales, avec de l'intimité pour chacun sauf dans la chambre de l'étage qui comporte 2 lits double, le temps d'un week-end end cela ne pose aucun probleme, et cette chambre est parfaite pour un couple avec 2 enfants. Les salles de bain sont spacieuses et de belle factures. La cuisine est fonctionnelle et l'arrière est équipée d'un grand frigo et d'un grand congélateur. À 20 mètres en bas de la rue, vous trouverez une petite épicerie pratique pour des courses d'appoint et à environ 5/10 min à pieds un petit supermarché Dia. Le centre ville est à 30 min à pieds tout droit vers la mer! Le Parc Guell est juste à côté en montant une bonne côte à pieds, aidé par les escalators. Très satisfait egalement à notre depart, la maman de Maria nous a fixé une heure et elle était ponctuelle. Nous retenterons l'expérience lors de notre prochain séjour à Barcelone.

  Comments: We were greeted by Angela, Maria's mother-in-law and she was very helpful and patient with my poor Spanish. As we were a little early, we left our bags and returned later. Although we didn't think that we would see Angela again she had to return on two occasions to sort out a couple of issues with the apartment, this was done very promptly and via email with Maria, and Angela resolved the problem. She even brought me a bunch of flowers on my birthday which was very thoughtful of her. The apartment is comfortable but it would be a squeeze for 11 people, there were 8 of us and it worked well but people were prepared to share the 3 bedrooms (1 single room = 4 bedrooms in total). It is a very quiet neighbourhood but well situated for Barcelona, we walked to the Ramblas and took the bus and metro on other days.

  Comments: The apartment was amazing. We were so fortunate to have been able to live in the neighborhood and enjoy everything that it offered. It was close to all of the attractions, but situated in a very quiet area so that we could experience local culture and cuisine without crowds of tourists. Having the apartment as home base allowed us to take day trips and visit historical sites but then be able to come home, relax, and soak up the local culture. The apartment had unbelievable views from 4 private terraces. We began our day with breakfast on the main terrace and ended our day with drinks on the rooftop terrace. Our host, Maria, was super accommodating and everything was exactly as promised. The apartment itself is beautiful and well appointed. Everything was excellent.

We felt the description was very misleading. The view from the roof was amazing, but literally everything else was just ok. Just 5/10 minutes walk to Lesseps or Vallcarca. Great line and quick to main sites. We tried: Open air cinema at Montjuic, Opera at Theatre Liceu, Beach Bogatell, Miro, swam in Olympic dive pool, Picasso, Fat tire bike tour, Runner Bean walking tours Old City and Gaudi, Sagrada Familia, the Magic Fountain, Museum of Modern Art. We ate at Bogatell Escriba, La Pubilla Gracia, roof top sushi with music and view of La Pedrera at Hotel Omm, Pez Vela and Theresa Carles. All brilliant. Plus pot luck places too also good. We took a day trip on the train to Cambrils. For next time other museums, flamenco, Sitges, Tibidabo, Spanish guitar concert and revisiting great places. So much to enjoy.   Comments: L'appartamento di Maria ha ampiamente superato le nostre aspettative: spazioso, elegante ma accogliente, pulitissimo, con tutte le comodità possibili, dagli elettrodomestici ai bagni super accessoristi (jacuzzi, doccia idromassaggio, e bidet, cosa molto gradita a noi italiani), posto macchina (in garage coperto e sicuro da non sottovalutare in una metropoli come Barcellona) e vicinanza a 2 stazioni metro (in 2 fermate si è in centro). Anche i nostri 3 figli hanno apprezzato molto le comodità della casa di Maria (TV satellitare con tante opzioni, stanze grandi con letti comodissimi,...). Inoltre la presenza di 4 terrazze con una bellissima vista su tutta la città, rendono ancora più piacevole il soggiorno. La posizione è fantastica anche per chi ha un amico a 4 zampe, essendo a pochi passi dal parco Putxet dove i cani sono liberi di correre in ampi spazi anche senza guinzaglio. Quando torneremo a Barcellona sicuramente Maria sarà la nostra prima, anzi unica scelta! Consigliatissimo!!!

  Comments: Maria's sister Francesca met us at the apartment. She was amazing, we love her. The apartment was spacious, the outdoor spaces were great, the kitchen was well equipped, and the air conditioning was a life saver. The apartment is a couple minutes walk from Guell Park, which was pretty cool. It was about a 15 min underground ride to La Rambla. It was a quiet, lovely way to end our Barcelona adventures. Francesca did not speak any English but judicious use of (Hidden by Airbnb) Translate enabled us to sort everything out. The flat was as advertised, extremely clean, very good value and in a great location. The rooftop views of the city in particular are incredible. Only negatives I can think of are that the air conditioning is a bit weak and a couple of the beds aren't massively comfortable. In conclusion, I highly recommend this apartment and host.

  Comments: Beautiful home! We loved our stay here. Very spacious--we stayed with 6 people and had plenty of room. The location was fine--not necessarily close to all the big "sites" but it was a beautiful location (and near a Metro stop). It felt like we were a local when we were there. We saw kids walking to school, neighbors doing laundry and eating on their terraces--lots of fun. The terrace was beautiful--great views of the city and GORGEOUS sunrise there. We had dinner up there one night and it was quite lovely. *Note: The host does not speak much English. We had someone with us who spoke Spanish, otherwise this would be a minor inconvenience. *Another note: Wifi was a bit weak. We had 6 devices on it and would usually need everyone to get off but one person if we really wanted it to work and be effective. Not a huge deal, but helpful to know. It probably has enough juice for 1-2 devices.

I traveled with four other friends and Maria's home was ideal for this trip! The home is spacious and comfortable - there are some wonderful coffee shops and markets nearby. We felt incredibly safe during our entire stay, and while it is walking distance to several key attractions in Barcelona (Park Guell) we opted to take a cab downtown in most cases - which was only about 15-20 minutes.   Comments: Maria's home is absolutely lovely! This large home provides so much space for Barcelona, and also features high-end designs and comforts that would be helpful for a longer stay. Our family included three children (13, 11 and 8) and elderly parents (one in a wheelchair). The lift/elevator was a must for us, and we used it daily. We do have a few things to note. Maria's house is in a residential area--it is quiet, and just a 5-10m walk downhill to the Lessups metro station (L3). It is a 5m walk downhill from the Valcarca station (L3). It would be a really difficult walk to go up to Valcarca (steep walk uphill). Francesca was so easy to work with; she received our luggage before check in and showed us how to use the appliances etc. We did need to use a translator app via our cell phones to communicate but it worked fine. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable for a family of 7, and the numerous balconies were just incredible. We LOVED this home and the location, but we were also hoping to live among locals vs being tourists.

House was clean and everything you wanted was there, washing machine and the clothes dryer saved us as we traveled light and it was raining a couple of days. Jetted tub, huge showers with multi heads, and the gorgeous terraces were all such a treat. The fridge had welcome goodies including fruit, cava, beer, juice, water, and chips that was very thoughtful. Great and super friendly English communication with host Maria and also with Francesca, who was on site (we communicated easily with (Hidden by Airbnb) translate). Highly recommend this apartment!

  Comments: This was a wonderful place. The two main bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy, with very nice adjoining bathrooms. We ate every meal that we had in the apartment on the terrace outside of the dining area. It had a table that comfortably sat four, and an awning that protected us from the sun. The apartment was in a real neighborhood as opposed to a tourist enclave. There were excellent bakeries, fruit markets, places to buy wine, and a charcuterie within a few blocks. Although we were only one block from a major commercial street, the neighborhood was very quiet. It was a 10-minute ride on the metro to the Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas. We also found a really excellent restaurant only a couple of blocks away.

  Comments: Maria was out of town when we arrived to check in but her cousin Francesca was available to show us around the apartment. Francesca didn't speak much english but it was not a problem at all. She was delightful showing us the space and making recommendations. Maria had materials all laid out and offered plenty of brochures to get you going if you didn't have many plans to see the city of Barcelona. The space was wonderful. We spend a fair amount of time on the terraces at night and the view was breathtaking. There was a small problem with the time of checkin (the listing says 3pm on the website but Maria informed us that was a mistake and that it was actually 4pm) It was not a problem for us and she has made a note to update that for future guests. It can take about 30 minutes to get to the city center where some attractions are located (Sagrada Familia, Gothic District) but Parc Guell is a 15 minute walk away if you like a workout (it's uphill but there are escalators in some spots). The house is comfortable, all amenities were available and worked properly and I would highly recommend this home to stay at during your visit to Barcelona.

Maria is very accommodating to allow us put our luggages earlier than check-in time. My sons age 22 and 26 my husband and I had plenty of space, the decks offer beautiful views and we had lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. The metro got us everywhere we needed to go and we used cabs as well once in awhile. We highly recommend this place if you need space and don't mind being a little was away from all the tourist areas. There was lots of nice touches, wine, beer in the fridge.

  Comments: Great house!! There was a ton of outside space!! Maria was unable to meet us bit her cousin was there, she was awesome. We had a language barrier but were able to work it out!! We had issues figuring out the washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Never did figure out the dishwasher, so some instructions /instructions in English would be great. There is AC except for 1 room upstairs and in the hallway where the fridge is. Some dishes in the cabinet seemed dirty, so look before you use. Quick fix, just wash them or buy plastic. I heard from the people who slept in the twin beds in the master bedroom upstairs that they were uncomfortable. Also, you will probably need to purchase more toilet paper and paper towels if you have a large group like I did. There is a corner store right down the street. We had 7 people with luggage, so when we booked our shuttle it was a large bus. It couldn't make the turn on our street. So be aware when making transportation arrangements. Also, not all companies do pick ups at apartments so you will have to go to the nearest hotel, about a 5 min walk. All in all, this was a great apartment. Had everything we needed for our stay. The host checked in with us regularly. I would definitely stay here again!!

The accommodation was superb and very relaxing and I certainly would recommend family and friends staying here. The rooftop terrace was a great place to socialise and chill out and the view was excellent looking over the city towards the sea.   Comments: We stayed twice at Maria’s—before and after a trip to Mallorca. It worked well for our family of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids). We liked being in a neighborhood away from La Rambla that was close to transit (Metro L3 line). It was a short ride to go anywhere. Cousin Francesca greeted us warmly. The kitchen was stocked with basics and a bottle of wine, while the welcome notebook provided great tips. We loved the bakery 2 blocks away on Argentina, and the Asador restaurant in the upscale consulate area nearby. The kids (all of us) loved Tibidabo amusement park. Great trip!

  Comments: This place is only a few hundred metres from a metro station on the main green metro line going into the old centre. And you can easily walk up to Park Guell (believe me, the street escalators are an experience, and a bliss). So you can stay here in a very quiet and “real” residential area of the city, and still be conveniently connected to the must-see highlights of the city. By the way, you do have stunning views from the terraces (yes, several), all the way down to the sea. The place is cosy, and the pictures do it justice. Downstairs you have one twin room (access through the kitchen; use the corridor toilet) and one double with a nice en-suite bathroom (with excellent shower; we had some issues with the flush of the toilet). Upstairs there is one single room (though you could put a second be there; very tight, but possible) which has access to the main terrace (from where also the stairs to the top terrace), and then there is the Master bedroom with a double bed and two twin beds (and private terrace and en-suite bathroom with nice bath and correctly-flushing toilet). All beds were really nice and we slept well. So, if this bedding arrangement fits your group, then this is really a nice place to stay. The kitchen is convenient and functional, with the basics when it comes to cutlery and cooking utensils/pots. If you plan to mostly go out to savour the great local kitchen, then this kitchen is more than enough for your breakfasts (including Nespresso machine!); if you plan to cook full meals, you may run into some practical challenges. We really liked our stay, and quickly felt at home. The welcome and local support by Francesca was great (always only an SMS away), and Maria kept communicating so well via AirBnB messaging.

  Comments: This airbnb was lovely and perfect in size for my family of 8. It was clean, spacious, and decorated beautifully to make it feel like a home away from home. In addition, so much helpful information was given to us on how to get around, where to eat & shop nearby, etc. The heating/ air conditioning and water pressure in the showers are very good. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to anyone! The best part that I think isn’t exhibited as much and it should be, is the amazing number of terraces, including the rooftop one with the most magnificent view of Barcelona! My only concern with the location is the steep hills, that may not be suitable for older or disabled people to stay at. Just a warning towards that, but the distance to the metro and travel time into the city center is perfect! The L3 train travels pretty much to every main tourist destination. We are very satisfied with our stay!

  Comments: Maria's place is simply amazing - if I could rate it 10+ Stars I would!!! It's large, as you would expect from the listing, but more importantly, simply everything is perfect. It is very nicely decorated - not like a lot of "this is AirBnB so I'll use the minimum amount of IKEA furniture possible". Nope! This place is meant for you to relax, enjoy, and feel comfortable. The location is great; about 5 minutes from a Metro station. It's not right in the middle of the center of town, but it is well located and it's easy to get everywhere, via walking, buses, Metro, etc. There's shops, bakeries, markets, restaurants, all around the place. Best of all, it's quiet!! The views from the balconies are incredible. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, towels, soaps, etc. I can't think of a better place to stay when you're in Barcelona!!

Less than a 10 minute walk to the metro station and reasonably priced cafes and restaurants. We loved the Italian restaurant that the guys in the shop at the end of the road recommended. The Cava in the fridge was a lovely touch after a long journey. It’s a shame that the jacuzzi bath was out of action during our stay. No doubt this will be fixed soon. Maria was away during our stay but communicated well through messages and email.

  Comments: Our favorite Airbnb out of the 3 that we stayed at in Barcelona and Valencia, Spain. I loved being in the Gracia area, a bit away from the downtown Gothic Quarter madness but advise any other large groups to do a little more planning when going out late or farther afield due to the metro closing around midnight, and cost of cabbing around. Maria was very responsive and seems like she would be a great host, but happened to be on vacation herself when we stayed. Her cousin Francesca let us in no problem. Main point - You just can't beat the views and those amazing rooftop patios.

  Comments: Lage ist gut . Mit der Metrolinie L3 kommt man direkt in die Stadt. Supermarkt Consum in 5 Gehminuten. Die Schlafbereiche müssen dringend verbessert / renoviert werden. Bilder im Internet zeigt die Wohnung im neuen Zustand was bestimmt schon einige Jahre her ist. Neue Matratzen wären auch gut. Die Terrassenmöbel sind teilweise beschädigt und nicht zu nutzen. Wohnung liegt am Hang ist aber leicht zu erreichen. Allerdings nichts für Leute mit Gehbehinderung. ! Die Terrassen an sich sind super !!!!!!!! Maria ist eine sehr hilfsbereite Person welche sich sehr um uns bemüht hatte.

We were stunned by how large it was and how many amazing outdoor spaces were available, in addition to all the bedrooms and large living area. After being in in smaller apartments, my family of five loved spreading out and enjoying some space in this beautifully decorated home. We were easily able to walk to the metro, the bus station and many good restaurants. Park Guell is just a mere 10 minutes away as well as the chic Gracia area. Maria was an incredibly helpful and gracious host, and I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Barcelona.

Very clean and plenty of room for the 10 of us. We opted to stay in Maria's apartment for the outdoor spaces as opposed to staying more central and we're glad we did so. The number of venues we visited during our stay were only ever short taxi or metro journey away. Would definitely recommend to any large groups.

The space was 2 stories with several outside balconies (the rooftop was amazing!) made our 4 night stay seem like home with plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals. The apartment provided everything we could possibly require (two families with four children) for a very comfortable weeks stay. Da wir sehr früh angereist sind, hatten wir die Möglichkeit vor dem Check-in unsere Koffer in der Wohnung unterzustellen, was für uns natürlich eine Erleichterung für das Sightseeing war. Vielen Dank dafür, Maria. Die Wohnung ist riesig und die Terrassen ein Traum, man hat von der Dachterrasse einen wunderbaren Blick über Barcelona. Die Einrichtung ist sehr hochwertig, die Bäder sehr groß und schön. Die Lage ist ruhig und optimal gelegen um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu erreichen, da die Metrostation in ca 5 min Fussweg zu erreichen ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

  Comments: My family, girlfriend and I (8 people) visited Barcelona for 4.5 days and we stayed in Maria's amazing apartment. It is huge and at no point we felt that there is not enough room. Plenty of bathrooms, balconies, beds, etc. Everything is furnished very nicely and the style fits to the Barcelona atmosphere. Maria took really good care of us. Also her lovely mother helped us very much. Because my grandparents had trouble walking a lot, she even took them with her private car to the dinner place when we arrived! The view over the city is exceptional as the house is in the north west where the ground level is higher than the rest of the city. The elevator in the house makes it convenient to get into the apartment and we also had a place to park the rental car. Everything was great and we highly recommend the place!

  Comments: This apartment is fabulous and Maria is a great host! Check-in was simple and went smoothly - we even arrived before 4pm and were able to check in without a problem. The location is excellent - located in a quiet neighborhood away from all the tourists, yet the convenience of the metro makes it easy to get anywhere very quickly. The apartment is beautiful and very cozy. We loved returning every day after our outings, and the layout made it easy for us to relax together as well as retreat to our own areas for privacy. The outdoor spaces are exceptional and all of the bedrooms are very comfortable! The shower in the downstairs en suite bedroom is amazing. The apartment was well-equipped, though we had trouble figuring out how to use the clothes dryer. Also, while there were liquid soap dispensers in each bathroom as well as next to the kitchen sink, it would have been nice to have small bars of soap for the showers. In addition, while the photos were generally an accurate portrayal of the apartment itself, there were minor differences, and we didn't see some of the items shown in the photos (there were no televisions in any of the bedrooms - which was okay since we didn't watch at all; no chaise lounge chairs on the terrace off the living room; no basket of personal care supplies in the bathroom; etc.) These are all minor things, though, and we absolutely loved this apartment. We would stay in this apartment again in a heartbeat! One of our only regrets was not having more time to spend there!

  Comments: If you have a crowd to take care of you need to consider Maria's - it is a superb two story flat that provdie a ton of amenities. It has an abundance of terrences to relax in that provide flex space for outdoor meals, mid-afternoon tapas and great views of the city on the rooftop terrace. Both levels have well appointed bathrooms and the extra half bathroom meant that we had lots of flexibility for the four couples that shared this space. The kitchen is well stocked and although we didn't prepare any meals except breakfast it had a full range of cooking options. The washer helped us clean a few things before going home, and the access to the clothes line meant that our clothes was nice a fresh. If it had rained we did have the option of a dryer which we did not need. The beds were generally ok and each guest has a comfy pillow and both a small and large towel. The place was very clean and there is a lot of space to lounge about both inside and out. We were only sorry that we only had two days, we would have loved to stay longer. Very close to Park Guell, and the nearby metro made it easy to get around to other locations. There are not a ton of restaurants nearby, but the Inka hamburger place is a resonalby priced options with all kinds of items on the menu (the goat salad was a big hit, althouh I stuck to the hot sandwiches). There are a lot of grocery and food options very near by and we did not lack for great pastries! The check in was easy and the flat itself is on a quaint and relatively quiet street. I understand why Maria is a super host, thanks for the wonderful stay;

It’s about 10 mins from the centre of Barcelona on a train, which was really easy to figure out. We had a late flight back home & Maria let us stay later which we really appreciated. Du parquet partout au sol, des lits confortables, deux belles sdb dont une avec une baignoire balnéothérapie. Le gros plus est le parking sous l appartement. Nous avons laissé la voiture pendant 4 jours car tout se fait très facilement en métro (5 min à pied) Maria est très réactive.   Comments: My family of 5 spent a week in this very large, very comfortable space. It was not one of those all-IKEA furnished places. The apartment has lovely spaces indoor and out. Maria and her mother were very easy to communicate with and very responsive. The location, while not immediately downtown, was convenient to get around and purchase groceries and such locally. Our airline moved up our arrival flight so that we landed very early in the morning and while we couldn't check in until late afternoon due to the prior night being rented, Maria's mom was kind enough to allow us to drop off our luggage and return later. In retrospect, I wish we had booked the night prior so that we wouldn't have had that very long day, but it all worked out. Would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Barcelona.
