  Comments: I traveled here with my family, and had an incredible stay! Alex was incredibly welcoming. He greeted us openly, and gave us a great tour of the house. He also gave us a nice explanation of Istanbul on the map. We were so comfortable at the house. The location is great and is walking distance to Taksim Square...where you can easily access the metro, and all of Istanbul. We cannot wait to return and stay here again! Thank you so much Alex for helping make our first trip to Istanbul one to remember!

  Comments: We stayed in this Apartment in august 2012. The owner himself met us at the apartment and was really kind and helpful, welcome us with a cold drink, very helpful if it´s 35 degrees outside, explained everything and took us on a small apartment tour to show us around. The apartment itself is very clean and comfy, equipped with everything you need and we really enjoyed our stay there. It is very close to Taksim Square, where you can reach the metro and start your journey to discover Istanbul. From Taksim Square the apartment is very easy to find, so you can easily take the Havatas bus transfer from both airports to go there. There are a lot of small shops nearby where you can buy all things you might need during your stay and even if you don´t want to cook you can find good food at a good price. I hope we can come back to Istanbul soon and if possible stay in this apartment again.

  Comments: Ich kann nur jedem dieses Apartment empfehlen! Alex war ein super Gastgeber und bei Fragen immer sofort erreichbar. Die Wohnung war ganz nah an allen Hotspots und gleichzeitig ein guter Rückzugsort, wenn man sich erholen wollte. Die Ausstattung war vom Feinsten und es fehlte an Nichts. Beim nächsten mal wieder gerne!

  Comments: The house is located in a quiet area, away from the traffic noise, 5-10 minutes from Taksim, the main square in the east of Istanbul, where comes the funicular and 1 minute from a wonderful Turkish pastry! The house is new, with tasteful furniture and very clean. The bathroom is nice and there's a beautiful shower, with water always hot! The rooms are comfortable and brand new mattresses. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The bright living room has a sofa bed very clean. The only minor flaw is internet, it takes 24 h 24 but only near the window or on the terrace. L'abitazione è situata in una zona tranquilla, lontana dai rumori del traffico, a 5-10 minuti da Taksim, la piazza principale della zona orientale di Istanbul, dove arriva anche la funicolare e a 1 minuto da una meravigliosa pasticceria turca! La casa è nuova, con arredamento di gusto e molto pulito. Bagno curato e doccia splendida, con acqua sempre calda! Le camere sono confortevoli e i materassi nuovissimi. La cucina è piccola ma ben attrezzata. Il soggiorno molto luminoso e spazioso con divano letto molto pulito. L'unica piccola pecca è internet, si prende 24 h su 24 ma solo vicino alla finestra o in terrazzo.

  Comments: This apartment is spotlessly clean, and everything is just as described in the listings, with one big double-bed room, and one smaller room with bunk-beds.. It has obviously been recently renovated, and the kitchen and bathroom are very nicely fitted out. I also enjoyed staying in a very non-touristy area (Sisli) just 10 minutes walk from Taksim square. Downsides: Internet wasn't working when I got there (seemed to be a problem from the company - fixed after a few days). But really, no other downsides - a very nice place.

  Comments: Alexis has been careful host, planning our arrival few weeks before. We have been welcomed by Alexis's dad and mom, charming persons. Our plane was leaving later than check out time proposed and Alexis fully agreed to give us extra time at the flat. Newly renovated and furbished flat with a A-class bathroom only 5 minutes walk from Taksim, in a calm neighborhood. Fully recommended.

  Comments: Its been a pleasure staying at Alexis' place. The flat was perfectly clean and cozy. Its perfectly situated in Taksim - walking distance to all the hotspots in and around Beyoğlu. But since it is located in a quiet street, you can even sleep with the windows opened. Alexi and his family were very friendly, and helped us with all our questions. The flat is well equipped, everything we needed was there - even a dishwasher and a WiFi-connection were available. Five stars! Definitely going back there for our next trip to Istanbul!

  Comments: Nice flat 10 min away from taksim square and 15 min from Istiklal Cd. Not Very convenient if you are looking to party. I would recommend to stay on sultanahmet side if you are more into the cultural things. All furnitures were brand new. Alexis also provided all bath towels and bed sheets. Kitchen was fully equipped and bathroom very neat. One thing to note is that I was expecting for some more personal advices from the owner. I asked for a list of restaurants or bars but never received it. Overall, it was a nice trip.

  Comments: Great little apartment. Supplied with everything we would need and enough room for 5 people to stay comfortably. Alex was very accommodating and allowed an early check in which was a life saver. Good location although many cabs didn't know the exact street but we soon knew where we were. Excellent!

  Comments: We had a great stay at Alex's apartment in Taksim. It's very easy (5 minutes) to walk to Taksim's main shopping area and underground train station from the apartment. 5 of us stayed there and we found it to be spacious and immaculately clean. Alex and his Mum gave us a friendly welcome and showed us where everything was. The only problem we had was a power cut on Sunday morning. Alex offered to come over and fix the problem, and he was easy to contact. We would stay at the apartment again as it's spacious and very good value.

Comfortably housed four of us: two in the bedroom with bunk beds, one in the bedroom with the queen sized bed, and one person on the large pull-out couch in living room. Centrally located in a quite hilly street about a 5-8 minute walk from the north end of Taksim Square. Great home base to explore the city from. Owner was responsive to my emails.

  Comments: Before our arrival, Alex provided us with a map and some guidance on how to find his apartment which was very helpful. When we arrived, his mom was there to welcome us and showed us everything. The apartment is located in a quiet street with the bedrooms facing an even more quiet courtyard and it takes a 5-10 minutes walk to Taksim square and Istiklal Street. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, we always had hot water in the shower and the internet worked fine. We were also provided with everything we needed. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend this place!

  Comments: Alex's apartment is absolutely great: extra clean, with new furniture and all possible appliances. As we came at 8 p.m. the host provided tea, coffee and water for us which we appreciated very much. He also provided us with a great city map which was very helpful. The wi-fi worked with no problems whatsoever. Alexis was also kind enough to let us leave our bags at the apartment for a few more hours after check-out time, which gave us the opportunity to visit some more before heading to the airport. The apartment is ideal for families with children, much more spacious than any hotel room in this price range, and in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommendable! Thank you Alexis

Few grocery stores are just step away. hundreds of restaurant around. very safe location. very convenience to and from airport by Havatas airport to Taksim non stop shuttle, it costs only 10 Lira.   Comments: The apt was fantastic. Super comfortable, clean, ample, and warm. You can get all what you need from this unit. I would say, it was better than a hotel of the same neighborhood (three times more space and for a half of the price). Very close to Taksim square and very well connected with the all the historical attractions of Istanbul. You can completely trust in all what the landlord is offering through the ads. The apt was exactly as he described in this website. I would like to come back to Istanbul and stay in the same place. No question about it. I recommend this place a 100%.

  Comments: Alexis was extremely helpful and informative in the lead-up to my trip. When I got to the apartment, the keys were handed over by his mother as promised. The apartment was spotless, everything was how it appears in the photos. The apartment is spacious and has modern appliances; it is also nicely decorated inside. I would thoroughly recommend booking with Alexis. The next time I go to Istanbul I will certainly be booking with him. The area is a good one also, Taksim. There is plenty of activity close by, (in Beyoglu I think it is called) but the street and immediate vicinity is fairly quiet so you won't be awaken by noise. There is a convenience shop just up the road which was useful too. Overall I had a great time in Istanbul. I don't think there were any negatives to Alexis flat and hosting...just positives :) Chris (25, London.)

  Comments: Die Wohnung ist ideal gelegen. Innert kurzer Zeit erreicht man entweder zu Fuss oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln die meistbesuchten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Nicht weit entfernt gibt es eine Fülle von Restaurants in allen Preislagen. Bei unserer Ankunft haben wir mit Freude festgestellt, dass die Wohnung voll mit der Beschreibung übereinstimmt. Sie ist sehr sauber, alles funktioniert bestens und wir haben uns äusserst wohlgefühlt. Der WiFi Zugang ist sehr wertvoll, weil man das Gesehene nachlesen und sich in die Kultur vertiefen kann.   Comments: We stayed in this appartement for 6 days, to attend a congress and to enjoy Istanbul. It was perfect in many ways: Alexis ' mother received us very nice, the appartement was very very clean and had everything we wanted. We didn't use the refrigerator or washingmachine, but it's all there. We felt comfortabele and at ease. The congress centre was a 10 minutes walk from the appartement, as was Taksim square. This area of Istanbul is a good location for people who, like us, have free time to spend in the evenings, because it's a very lively place. The street where the appartement is is quiet. I would love to come back to this appartement if I ever return to this wonderful city!

  Comments: Alexis n'était pas présent à notre arrivée mais il a été réactif et arrangeant tout au long de nos différents contacts. Ses parents nous ont accueillis gentiment le jour J. L'appartement est très très propre, lumineux, fonctionnel et très bien situé. Si vous êtes sensible, comme moi, aux bruits, n'hésitez pas à apporter le nécessaire. If you're a first time visitor to Istanbul he shows you exactly how to get to the flat from the airport. His mother and father were very gracious and helpful when I met them at the flat. The location is very good. Close to transport and Taksim but very quiet. The flat is very spacious and well equipped. I can't think of any negatives.

  Comments: Wir (49,46 und 18) hatten eine wunderschöne Woche über Weihnachten 2013 in Istanbul. Die Wohnung von Alexis hatte einen grossen Anteil daran. Alles hat perfekt funktioniert. Alexis' Vater hat uns zu trotz einer einstündigen Verspätung begrüsst. Die Wohnung ist wie von vielen vorher beschrieben. Von der Lage her meines Erachtens ideal, zwar nahe am Taksim-Platz und der riesigen Fussgängerzone, aber weit genug weg von Strassenlärm und auch den Demos, die uns in keiner Weise irgendwie behindert hätten. Taxi, Metro/Strassenbahn, Cafes sind ganz nah, der Havatas-Bus vom/zum Flughafen quasi um die Ecke. Hilfreich war auch die perfekte Ausstattung von Handtüchern u.ä. über Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Fernseher und vieles mehr. Ich schreibe diese Bewertung in Deutsch, in Englisch gibt es ja schon etliche. Dear Alexis, thank you very much, we enjoyed your apartment really. Happy new year and good luck whereever you are!   Comments: My husband and I stayed in the Alexis's apartment in January for 4 days. It was our first stay with airbnb and definitely not the last. The flat is really nice, very well decorated and perfectly clean, we enjoyed the time spent there, the quality of sleeping there was at high level. The location was perfect, near the Taxim place, in the quite and nice neighborhood with some good restaurants where the local people go, small grocery shops and hair dressers. It was absolute safe there, even in night and we also enjoyed walking to the Macka park and pet the cats there. Alexis and his mum are great hosts, they gave us insider tips regarding where to eat, shop, make the hair.. and all of those tips were great... and bought for us, paid in advance, the tickets for a basketball game which was great.. Thank you Alexis and your lovely mum for making our visit to this wonderful city even better. Highly recommended!

If you want to explore the historic centre and Beyoglu this is really a good place to stay - near the Taksim Metro stop and the large shopping street Tersane Caddesi.   Comments: The location of this apartment is awesome, walking distance to the main eating and shopping area. It’s in a smaller lane, so not right next to the big street, making it quiet and cozy. The house decoration is just as nice as shown on the pictures, full of thoughtful designs, the owner also prepared whatever a traveller may need in the bathroom, like plenty clean towels and place to hang washed cloths...etc. Lastly, a good price with good value. Alexis was not available to greet us when we arrived so his mother greeted us and took time to give us a full tour of the apartment and show us how everything works. I had a question she could not answer well enough in English so she got Alexis on the phone for us who was able to answer my question as well as make an additional recommendation. The apartment is located just blocks from bustling Istiklal Caddesi and with a 5 minute walk to Taksim Square it was very easy to take public transportation everywhere else. It was a pleasure to stay there - I highly recommend and look forward to staying again on our next visit!

There is plenty of space inside the flat, it is clean, well lit, nicely furnished with a new bathroom including a washer. The place is so secure I marveled at the engineering of the front door. There aren't many places you go that deserve a picture of the security but trust me this is one. Nothing unwanted is coming through that front door, it's an engineering marvel challenging a bank vault. I've never seen anything like it. Stay here and see. It's a great place to be and I would choose this location again on my next trip through Istanbul.

  Comments: Lovely apartment. Wished I could have taken the shower home with me. Very quite neighborhood but a little noise from the birds on the roof. Noise came in through the bath vent. My wife didn't like the steep 1 1/2 block walk up to the main street but other than that it was an ideal location. I would strongly recommend getting a car service for airport pickup and return, as we did, if you have more than one small roller bag, as it is a pretty long walk from the main square drop off point for the shuttle bus or subway, plus the steep incline on the 1 1/2 block down to the apartment from the main street. We would for sure stay with Alexis if we returned to Istanbul again. His mother meet us at the apartment when we arrived and Alexis called and talked to us before his mother left to make sure everything was in order. Departure instructions were to just live the keys in the apartment and go. This was our second time in Istanbul (1 day off the cruise ship) plus these six days with Alexis. Although we saw a lot our first day off the cruise ship it was really nice to have 5 full days this time to really see the sights. We left wishing we would have had a least 1-2 more days to go back to the places we had seen 2 years ago and didn't have time to also fit them in on this trip. Before you go to Istanbul be sure and learn about the history of the city from at least the 2nd Century AD

  Comments: Just spent Easter in Alexis' apartment. His mom greeted us and ensured all was in order on arrival as well as departure. They were very flexible allowing us to check out late and leave our luggage in the flat whilst out and about during the last day. The location is convenient for Taksim and Istiklal but at the same time ensures you are able to get some sleep, which is not possible in loads of places that are just around the corner from Istiklal. Alexis although away from Istanbul, was very responsive to any queries during our stay and ensured we had all instructions required about our stat. Overall a great stay.

The appartment was lovely furnished as seen on the picture. It was very clean and everything was there what you need: towels, tea for breakfast, fully equiped kitchen, washing machine etc. We were friendly welcomed and had no problems. It is very calm there so we got perfect sleep to discover Istanbul. We had a great time also thanks to Alexis appartment. We very enjoyed our stay and can hardly recommend Alexis appartment.

  Comments: Alexis was out of town, so his very nice parents greeted us...the language barrier was challenging but we managed. We arrived at IST airport at 11:45pm, but after customs, etc. and taxi drive, it was after 2am before we arrived at the apartment. The door is a little tricky to learn how to lock/unlock so make sure you have it figured out before the host leaves after checking you in. Our driver had difficulty (at night) finding the place despite Alexis detailed directions that I printed (Website hidden by Airbnb) just a heads up. We had four in our group, all requiring separate beds, and the arrangements met our needs. Close to grocery stores and a food cart was just steps outside the rental...hot sandwich which was pretty dang good. Easy walk to metro station. Travel guides a plus. Large container of bottled water was on hand and so was an iron, laundry soap, and bar soap. Apartment is well maintained. Positive experience. Istanbul is a great city...clean, historic, and not expensive in my opinion. We took a ferry to the Asian side and found it to be a wonderful first day of exploring everyday street life which was the highlight of our brief 2 day stay.

The house was lovely and at the best location just 10 min walking to Taksim square, only 4 minuites from Havatas airport bus shuttle and Taksim Metro station. The only problem we faced was that we had a water shortage for a fortnight, which was fixed on the next day. Other than that we enjoyed very much our stay in the apartment , it is comfortable for 5 persons, however one bathroom can be a fuss if you are so many... Definetely recommend it :)

  Comments: I would highly recommend this flat as it was perfect for our trip to Istanbul. It was clean, good size for our group, looked as if it was recently renovated, had comfortable beds, and was in a great location that is close walking distance to Taksim and other parts of the city. I would also recommend this flat to anyone staying in Istanbul who wants to be in the central part of the city but on a quieter side street that is not so loud as parts of Taksim can be really loud. So, this flat was the best of both worlds being close to the action but quiet for when we wanted to relax. The hosts had great communication with us for our arrival and meeting at the flat was easy. They even left us an IstanbulKart to use the public transportation which was really nice and useful to get around town. Can't wait to stay here again.

  Comments: We (4 young women in their mid-twenties) just had the most amazing long weekend in Istanbul, staying in Alexis' flat, which is exactly as shown in the pictures, super clean and comes with everything you need plus a super nice welcome committee (i.e. his mom- Sofi, thanks for showing us the flat!). Alexis and his parents are very considerate (as evidenced by bottled water, toilet paper, public transport card and other "basics" already provided). Also, Alexis is very responsive and can always be counted on to answer any questions in record time. Biggest plus for us was the fort-know state-of-the-art security door, which helped even the most concerned members of our group sleep easy at night. What else? Location is quite good, really close to Taksim, where you can take all kinds of public transport to every part of town. All in all, I can recommend staying at Alexis's when in Istanbul. I would do so again.

  Comments: Alexis' heritage suite is a wonderful home away from home! Alexis answered our emails promptly and was very detailed. The house is an absolute gem. It's been lovingly updated and is in a very convenient and neighbourly locale. It is spotlessly clean! The beds are super comfortable, the bedding is lovely. The bathroom is comfortable with a great shower! There is also a. dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is excellent. Dishes etc are all new. We really liked the layout as there was a nice dining and working area and a separate and spacious lounge with comfortable seating. The decor is very relaxing and we felt very at home. We arrived when the temperature was cold at the beginning of January but the suite was lovely and warm with excellent heating and double paned windows. Alexis very thoughtfully provided books on Istanbul, maps and guides and also a variety of novels by Turkish authors. Nice touch. We enjoyed walking Istiklal Street, to the Sultanameht area, Galata Bridge, Besitkas, the list goes on. We took a Bosphorus tour with Turyol which was very good. There are hundreds of tiny, delicious restaurants and bakeries within walking distance and some higher end venues as well. We like to walk and found we could reach most "must see" things within 15 minutes to an hour or the metro was nearby (5 mins) and there are taxis always at Taksim. Without question we would recommend staying at Alexis' heritage suite. We really felt like we could have stayed for weeks!

Close to Taksim Sq and the Havatas bus that brings you from the airport. If I stayed in Istanbul again, I would stay closer to the old city though as we had a 2 year old and getting back and forth from the sights took about 20-30 minutes which would be nice to avoid. It was conveniently located - only a 5 min walk from the Havatas bus stop, and a 10 min walk to Taksim Square and Istikal Cadessi - and yet it was also removed enough to feel quiet and restful. (If you needed to get to Karakoy or the Old City, it was easy to hop on the Funicular at Taksim and go to Kabataş, where you can catch the ferries to Kadıköy or transfer to the T1 tramway line to Eminönü, Sultanahmet, Grand Bazaar, etc.) The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and nice. The living room was beautiful and spacious, and the bed in the main bedroom was super comfy. The description and photos were all accurate. Alexis's mom met me at check-in and communication with Alexis beforehand was easy. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Istanbul.

  Comments: We enjoyed our stay in this apartment - it's well located on a quiet street, fairly close to major transport and to restaurants and shopping on Istiklal Street, in the New District of Istanbul. The apartment was comfortable, with all basic amenities, plus air-conditioning and Wifi. Alexis had sent us useful information beforehand on how to get to the apartment, and Alexis' father was waiting for us on our arrival and showed us the basic features of the apartment and reviewed the few rules (take off shoes on entry, keep windows closed, how to use keys). There are a few things which could make things easier for visitors: (i) a more accurate map showing the location of the apartment; the one Alexis sent us - which we appreciated - had some inaccuracies, and both my husband and I, arriving separately, had a little trouble finding the right street and the right block, although we did find the apartment eventually; (ii) the router for the Wifi needed to be restarted several times - Alexis had left a note to that effect, but without indicating where the router was located. Once we found it, attached to the wall above the front door, we had to stand on a chair and reach up to get to it - only my daughter and my husband could do this; I was too short, so if it had been up to me to restart it, I would not have been able to do it. What was a minor inconvenience for us could be a bigger inconvenience for shorter visitors. (iii) we had some trouble figuring out how to use the washing machine, particularly how to get it opened when we thought the wash was done; my husband finally figured it out, but it wasn't obvious, and some instructions on how to use it correctly would be helpful; (iv) most important, I tried to contact Alexis while we were staying at the apartment, in connection with the washing machine, by email and by phone, trying both telephone numbers he gave, and was unsuccessful. He never answered my email and I couldn't get through on either number. Visitors need to be able to reach him with questions or problems. Having said all this, we would recommend the apartment to others - it was really quite a good place to stay.

  Comments: Alexis communication prior to arrival was excellent. The material he forwarded was helpful. We used the Havatas Bus service which terminates in close proximity to the apartment. Unfortunately we caught a taxi from the bus after some one told us how "long the walk was". However this information was wrong and the walk to the apartment is short. Erol Alexiss father, met us. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The white goods are of high quality. We liked not wearing shoes in the apartment. The apartment is some distance to Galata bridge and to the area of the blue mosque. It's about a 3-5 km walk or is accessible by the F1 from Taksim Square and T1 metro. There are many mini marts and a larger supermarket within a short walking distance from the apartment. The Internet connection connection is not strong. On a few nights the people in the apartment below were loud banging doors etc which woke us.

She does not speak much English, but it was sufficient to explain me everything (and it added to the genuine local experience). The apartment looks exactly as in the pictures. Good location, 15 min walk to Taksim square and 15 min walk to Nisantasi district, both of which have lots of restaurants and shops. Felt like a local!

I definitely recommend, just like all the other reviews. The only thing to be aware of is that the living room (where the couch-bed is located) does not have an AC, so it will be hot there even during the night (at least in summer).

He was also very very kind when we ran into an issue with our keys. I cannot recommend Alexis and his apartment enough. Please be aware taxi drivers seem incapable of finding this partKent for some reason. So best to find a hotel on the main street nearby and just use that as your drop off point. Otherwise... Perfect!

  Comments: Alex and his mom were at the flat waiting for us, helped us with our luggage up the stairs and settled us in. Communication with Alex was very prompt and easy. The apartment is super clean and organised, and recently renovated to a good standard. It is equipped with everything one could need. Alex also kindly arranged for a crib for my baby, which was much appreciated. The area is within a 5-7 minute walk to Istiklal street - long pedestrian street with shops and restos. It is an area that is gentrifying, so expect to find renovated buildings along side others that are run down. But the area is definitely feels safe. You will have a hair salon, grocery stores and shops within a two minute walk.

  Comments: I can only repeat everything everyone else has said - the apartment is great. We were met by Alexis, Sofi and Erol (his mother and father) – they helped us up the stairs with our luggage and they are all absolutely delightful. Although we took longer than expected to get through immigration and our bus broke down, they were still smiling when we got there. :-) All beds are very comfortable – even the sofa bed - and the air conditioning was a big plus, even in September. Washing machine, dish washer, all quite new and working, and the bathroom is perfect. It is very peaceful and close to public transport. If you take the airport bus, you really don’t need a taxi – it definitely IS near enough to walk. Upon our request to leave our bags in the flat a bit longer on checkout day, we immediately got an OK back from Alexis, although he had people arriving the same day. Many thanks Alexis - I can only recommend this flat to anyone spending a few days in Istanbul.

  Comments: My family and I had a lovely stay at Alexis' place in Istanbul. The apartment if exactly as pictured and it is very centrally located. Alexis organised an airport transfer for us too which was waiting in the airport and took us seamlessly to the apartment. When we arrived at the apartment we were greeted by Alexis' mum who was very helpful and showed us everything we needed to know. The apartment was spacious enough for 4 of us and it is centrally located so we walked to the metro in Taksim square to see the sights in the old part of town and to the main shopping street in the evenings. We had a lovely stay here and I would recommend it to others.

  Comments: We are very happy to have chosen Alexis place. He welcomed us and help the taxi to make its way, it is a very short walk to Taksim Place but by car it is a bit complex. The apartment is as described and the photos are accurate. It is the right size for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). The area is perfect, close to subway and funicular that leads to the tramway. I recommend to take the funicular to Kabatas and bus 42E to Sariyer to see the villages and go to the black sea. Very nice trip.

Had problems with hot water the first few days but this was fixed. The only negative thing is the neighbours, on a daily basis club music was blasted through the walls from morning to afternoon. Obviously this is not the owners fault but it was stressful. All the furniture etc is new & in excellent condition. Bedding was all clean & smelled lovely. Balcony looks over onto a quaint street with cute cats roaming around.

Before travelling to Istanbul the communication was perfect, the host provided us all the relevant and necessary information prior to our arrival (e.g. the different possibilities to get from the airport to the apartment, telephone numbers etc.). The apartment was very clean and every single detail completely matched to the description on Airbnb. The biggest advantage of the apartment was definetly its location. Taksim Square and the very famous shopping mile "Istiklal Caddesi" were just 5 minutes away to walk. If you want to discover the rest of this beautiful city, you can take the Metro or the busses at Taksim Square. In general, we had a wonderful week in this apartment in Istanbul. I can highly recommend this apartment to everyone, who wants to discover beautiful Istanbul.

  Comments: I had a very pleasant stay in Alexis's place, and, on future trips to Istanbul, would be glad to stay here if he'll have me back. :-) Alexis's flat fulfilled many of the options I was seeking in an Airbnb space: walkable neighbourhood, easy access to public transit, residential but with great access to restaurants and nightlife; and Alexis's home fulfilled all these criteria. Additionally, the space is clean, private, excellent value for money, and very well-appointed...among the best Airbnbs I have so far stayed in. Alexis was helpful throughout my stay, and I especially appreciate the fact that his lovely parents stayed to welcome me even though the check-in hour was quite late. I recommend Alexis, his place. and his lovely parents to you all. :-)

  Comments: Alexisov stan je smješten na oko 10 minuta šetnje do trga Taksim. Stan je čist, udoban i dovoljno veliki za tri ili četiri osobe. However, if you've got luggage then it's difficult to get to on foot since the house is uphill and you have to climb a narrow stairway. Alexis' brother was supposed to be waiting for us at the flat for check-in, but there was no answer after numerous rings. We did not have a local SIM, but luckily, a guy at the hotel nearby was nice enough to let us use his phone so we could call his brother; he ended up showing up within a few minutes. The flat itself is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. It was well equipped for our needs. Wifi didn't work that well, but all in all, it was a good stay.

  Comments: 提供给以后越来越多的中国游客们,房间非常好,全部实图无p,很干净,很舒适｡房东热情好客,在我们出发前给我发了详细的介绍,凭借此介绍,我们顺利的从萨比哈机场坐机场大巴到达塔克西姆广场,步行约10分钟到达房东的家｡设施齐备,冰箱,洗衣机,空调都有,还有洗碗机和咖啡机,厨房设施也很全,我们最后一晚做了火锅,棒棒哒｡ 地理位置不错,附近有很多公交车,可方便到达蓝色清真寺,索非亚大教堂等,步行可到欧洲区最大的商场,以及箭头包的工作室和lv､gucci等奢侈品店｡ 房东反应迅速,基本上邮件秒回｡第一天到的较晚,可能是房东父亲吧,一直在等我们,递交钥匙和告知注意事项及房内设施｡最后一天小伙伴晚走,房东也同意把退房时间改到下午两点,谢谢｡ 最后,房子非常好,值得!

  Comments: We stayed two weeks in Alex's flat. It is a comfortable apartment with all the necessities you need, though it should be noted that the balcony is not really big enough for two people to sit on. It is very well located. It is a short walk from Taxim square (with its excellent transport links - metro bus and dolmus and airport shuttle) and iconic Istiklal street. The flat is very quiet despite being in the heart of Beyoglu district. The area also has many local shops, restaurants and banks. I definitely recommend it.

  Comments: Bonjour, logement bien équipé, très propre et très bien situé dans une rue au calme à 5 minutes à pied de la navette aéroport et à 10 minutes à pieds de la place Taksim. Idéal pour la vie nocturne et aussi pour les visites des monument qui sont accessible en transport en commun. Parfait pour les gens qui aime dormir au calme mais aussi rejoindre le mouvement de la vie en quelques minutes à pied. Je recommande fortement.

  Comments: The apartment is charming and has everything you need. Sometimes taxi drivers didn’t know the address but Alexis gave us very thoughtful and clear instructions how to get to the apartment and who to contact in case of anything. We would stay there again. The only problem was that we could hear neighbors watching TV, sometimes till late, so don’t forget to bring earplugs.

  Comments: This lovely flat is centrally located, an easy walk from the metro and Istanbul’s famous Taksim Square and İstiklal Street. It was clean and comfortable. The host was accomodating and super responsive. I would definitely book again the next time I am in Istanbul.

  Comments: 资深算不上,但是也住过很多家名宿,这家我还蛮生气的,因为飞机到伊斯坦布尔是凌晨,之前邮件房东说Check in只能在下午2点,然后我们坐在星巴克坐了一个上午,后面就和房东商量能不能先把行李放进去,房东说可以,但是后面因为那边的房子太多了,和房东说能不能到星巴克来接下我们,房东说这是我们自己的事,我就觉得怎么可以这样,后面想想毕竟住在人家家里比较麻烦,还是给了从中国带来的礼物,并且发了邮件给房东,但是几天房东连邮件都没回我,有点生气

We had some struggles meeting our car service at the airport and Alexis was available and so helpful in helping us get from the airport to his apartment.   Comments: The flat is very clean and comfortable, it is spacious so there is enough room for everyone and it is in a very good location right near Taxim square - the road it is situated on is a steep hill, and although it is only on the first floor, there is no lift in the building, so bare in mind if this causes an issue for anyone - however this didn’t cause any problems for us. The owners are very friendly and communicate very well, they allowed us to keep our luggage in the flat past check out time on our final day which was a very big help for us and very kind of them. We would happily stay in this flat again. Thank you for having us!

It's quite close to Taksim, we never got tired walking to it even in the rain and cold, the space itself is very cozy and will make you feel like home. It's better than the pics! The minor details are charming as well, from the daisies to the curtains and to the comfortable pillows, we never needed anything. We didn't get to meet Alexis unfortunately, but his parents were very warm and welcoming and provided us with all the info we needed. Alexis was very responsive and flexible, agreeing on delaying the check-out time and accommodating to all our needs. Definitely booking again here.

We were welcomed at the apartmet and did not need anything else after that which means everything was great..the place was excellent and we couldn't ask for anything more. Apartment located on a more steep street so it would be very hard for someone with a wheel chair or a walking disability. I would stay there again.

Alexis does not live in Istanbul, his parents arrange check in and I was told my midnight arrival was too late, so I had to have keys dropped off with a friend.
