  Comments: My friend and I had a great stay here! The location was absolutely perfect near lots of good bars/restaurants, and a quick walk to the train. I slept on the couch in the living room, which was plenty comfortable. My friend slept in the bed, and said that was cozy as well. Didn't get to meet Greg, but his friend gave us the keys and he was very friendly and helpful with local tips. The bathroom was pretty tiny, and the building was old, but it's New York, so that's all to be expected. If you're looking for a modern and refined place, this might not be it. If you want a clean, comfortable place at a great price in a good location, you can't do much better than this. Would gladly stay here again.

  Comments: This place is the best place to stay. My first time in NYC so I wasn't too sure about the location but it turned out to be all that I'd hoped for and more. The building is like something out of a classic NY postcard and Orchard st is full of trendy bars restaurants and shops. I couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment is not as spacious as it looks in the photos but its a classic NY one bedder in the best part of the city. I will 100% be staying here again in the future. Greg is really good to deal with - I had to change my dates and he was very accommodating. Awesome trip.

  Comments: Perfect location (great neighborhood and walking distance to SoHo/Greenwich/Meatpack, close to subway). Greg is very flexible (our flight had a three hour delay and we arrived after midnight), replies fast to messages and easy to handle with. Comfortable bed, tiniest bathroom ever seen - apartment unfortunately somewhat filthy.

Right on the edge of Chinatown in a pretty trendy area with nice restaraunts and art galleries and its so close to the subway that the entire city is easily accessed from here. Greg was super helpful pointing out all the local spots, he even hooked us up with some passes he had to the top of the rock.

Le quartier est vraiment très chouette et nous nous sommes laissé tenter par plein de super bons petits restos juste en dessous de l'appartement. Greg et Mark ont été très réactifs dans les échanges de mails et très arrangeant pour que l'on passe le meilleur séjour possible. L'appartement est un peu de bric et de broc et la salle de bain pas très commode mais c'est tout à fait charmant et baigné de lumière. Merci Greg et à une prochaine fois!

  Comments: Greg was an amazing host! He was very easy to get in contact with and exceptionally quick and answering any of the queries we had. Unfortunately he wasn't personally able to be there for our trip but made sure that there was someone to meet us in the apartment when we arrived. Our visit went without a hitch. He was very flexible with times and made sure to accommodate our slightly late check out time. The apartment was as described. It is just a few minutes walk from the metro, giving you easy access to the whole city. The living space is relatively small, but that was never a problem for us as the location of the apartment provided us with many activities within walking distance. The apartment was clean and relatively tidy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. One small problem we encountered was that the air conditioning wasn't working while we were there, however with the windows open there was enough of a breeze to maintain a comfortable temperature regardless.

  Comments: El anfitrión es encantador y estuvo pendiente en todo momento de que todo estuviera en orden. Quizás lo único negativo es que las fotos son mejor de lo que el apartamento es, la escalera del edificio es muy fea y son 4 pisos :(... La zona está muy bien, pero es zona de salir....con lo que conlleva de ruidos. En general está correcto, pero sobre todo porque Greg es muy atento.

  Comments: Greg's place is the bomb. The neighborhood is great - food and bars everywhere, all within walking distance - both lively and cozy, close to the subway. The apartment is spacious for a one bedroom, lots of light, cool collection of books, well supplied. It's on the fourth floor and there's no elevator, so be prepared to break a sweat carrying your luggage up. Otherwise, it's a great place and great value. I would recommend it to friends, and would certainly stay there again.

  Comments: I was going to stay in this place for 4 days. But i couldn't stay there for 10 mins and i left there. They were saying its historical building but it was a doty place and it was 4th floor but there wasn't an elevator so i couldn't bring my luggage up to 4th floor. They put white couch for sofabed in the picture but it was too stained and dirty so i couldn't even sit on it. The host person left the doorkey at some shop near by so i had to pick up the key from the shop. It was a disaster for staying that place because of disgusting environment. So i had to ask them for refund but the host refused it. This place destroyed my Ny trip all. It's the worst place EVER! 私はこの家で四日間泊まる予定でした｡一晩も泊まらずに 出かけました｡歴史的の建物はすぐ倒れそうな物だったし､4回でｴﾚﾍﾞｰﾀｰもないから荷物運びにくい場所です｡ 写真で見える白いSOFAは実は染みで座れないほどすごく汚かったです｡本当に汚く使ってる家で､我慢できなくてﾘﾌｧﾝﾄﾞ申請しましたが､拒絶になって今紛争中です｡ この家でﾆｭよくの旅行は壊しました｡ここでは絶対泊まらないでください｡ 나는 이 집에 4일간 묵을 예정이었다. 단 하루도 묵지 않고, 10분만에 집을 나오게되었다. 역사적이라는 건물은 다 쓰러져가는 건물이었고 4층이었는데 계단으로만 되어 었어 너무 짐을가지고 올라갈수도 없었다. 사진에서 보이는 하얀 소파베드는 실제로는 온갖 때와 얼룩으로 가득해서 도저히 앉을 수도 없었고, 사진과는 너무나도 다른 집이었다. 심지어 집주인은 실제 거기에 있지도 않고 근처에 있는 샵에 키를 맡겨두고 알아서 찾아가라는 식이었다. 정말 지저분하게 쓰는 집이어서 더이상 참을 수 없어 나와 환불 신청을 한 상태인데 집주인은 뻔뻔하게도 거절하여 분쟁상태이다. 이 집때문에 뉴욕여행을 다 망쳤네요. 여긴 절대 묵지 마세요!!

  Comments: This is a great option if you want to stay in LES. It's walkable to many hip restaurants and bars as well as Soho, Nolita and the East Village. It's also a short trip to Brooklyn. Greg was very responsive even though he was on the West Coast at the time. Definitely a good value in NYC!

  Comments: Pros: -Great location if you are vacationing. -It is close to a few subway lines which is very convenient. -The neighborhood is very fun. Tons of restaurants, bars, etc. -Greg is super nice and helpful -I thought the pillows were comfy. Cons: -The bed is a Full but is listed as a Queen. This particularly was frustrating since this location having a Queen size bed was one of the "tie breakers" when I was determining where to stay. -The floors were dirty, some rags in the kitchen were dirty, and the trash in the bathroom was full. -It is a fourth floor walk up. The owner is very clear about this in the ad but it is still a con. -He did let me know the bathroom is small, but I found this one to be abnormally small. You have to turn side ways to get from the door past the shower to the toilet. -The trash is picked up every morning it seems between 2-4 AM. The windows need to be open to help regulate the temperature in the apartment. So it gets jarringly noisy for 5-10 minutes at a very bad time. Totally not the owners fault but it woke me up so I thought I would comment on that.

  Comments: Greg’s place is great! It is very cozy snd was clean upon arrival. He is a great host and very responsive. He also had recommendations of fun places to go to around his apartment. It gets very bright in the bedroom early in the morning and was very hot which was really the only downfall. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

  Comments: Greg’s place is amazing! First, it is in one of the most happening places in New York City. It is in Manhattan’s “Lower East Side” (LES) next to the historic Tenement Museum. Guests staying at Greg’s place enjoy long bright sight-lines down two orthogonal streets from the vantage point of being 5 stories up. These long vistas are very rare in cities like NYC with its many tall buildings and are only available due to Greg’s (1) coveted corner location, (2) his 6 windows, and (3) highly-desired southeast orientation in the southeast portion of the city. Professional photographers, good architects and other such artists conscientiously or subconsciously seek out long vistas and sight lines, lots of natural light, and other pleasing aesthetics when choosing or creating space. Greg is no exception and his place clearly shows that talent. The 6 windows bring those views and natural light into the main living space which uses 3 of them and the open kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom which enjoy the other 3. Greg’s love of art and photography is apparent in the decor. We found everything to be clutter-free and clean. There were ample towels, sheets, supplies, and such, and the 5G Internet was very fast which I tested to be 57.4Mb/s down with an amazing 8ms of latency. Greg’s LES location is walking distance to many shops, the subway, and restaurants, including vegan venues such as my favorite “byChloe.” Checking in was a snap and the late checkin/checkout times worked out perfectly as well. One will be hard-pressed to find a better value in Manhattan that is so well connected and with as many pleasing views and natural light as Greg’s place. I intend on checking for availability first at Greg’s place whenever I travel to NYC. He is well deserving of his SuperHost status and 5-Star Rating.

  Comments: The location is great. There are a lot of really good places to eat nearby, subways stops just a couple blocks away, and a Trader Joe's down the street. The Tenement Museum is quite close, and I truly enjoyed learning about it and having the chance to do a tour. Highly recommended. I had my wife and young son with me, and the space accommodated us well. I did have a little trouble sleeping with all the noise outside, but I grew accustomed to it after a couple days. Overall, a great place to stay!

  Comments: Greg's place is charming, warm, small, but cozy. He was unavailable to check us in, but he was very responsive and told us ahead of time that his friend would meet us. The location is great. There are restaurants, bars, and shops all within walking distance. Subway lines are also close by for easy transportation to and from Penn Station. I'd note that the bed in the bedroom is a full size, not a queen. It didn't bother us. We weren't able to find linens or extra blankets for the sofa bed, but the temperature in the apartment was very warm so it also wasn't a problem. The apartment is beautifully decorated, but on the smaller side. The bathroom is especially small. There are also several flights of stairs and no elevator. Overall, we had a lovely stay.   Comments: Greg's home was small, and cute! It's in a great neighborhood, central to everything and super close to a lot of train lines. The communication was super- even though he was traveling out of the country he made our check in smooth. One issue we had was the amount of noise at night- bring ear plugs!
