The apartment has been recently refurbished which makes it very clean and beautiful. It is very liveable, and everything you need is there from the kitchen to the washing machine. We would highly recommend this place and we would definitely stay again.

  Comments: Had very good experience and loved the location. The apartment is of a very good size compared to other hotels and locations around the area. It is a block from major shopping areas and 3 blocks from the beach. It is at a location that is near were all the activity happens, but at a street that is quite and calm.   Comments: This rental came up randomly after a week of searching hard for a place for my group which consisted of 4 adults and 1 baby. Our stay was fantastic, and it was a such a good deal at this price. It was great to be one street back from the main street of Waikiki beach, as well as have free parking, a washing machine, A/C, free wifi and no resort fees. With our group we were comfortable in the space we had there, and we all had a great sleep. The apartment has been decorated well with beautiful pictures, and decorations, and the towels and linen were quite nice. Jun was great with instructions as well, and everything was easy to find. Thank you once again. Hope to come back again in the future.

  Comments: Jun provided us with a very detailed set of instructions, which was very helpful and made our check-in a breeze. The place was clean, bright, and the décor added a nice touch to the beachy ambiance. Also loved that there was a guaranteed parking spot. The windows were a bit thin, but that didn't bother us too much. I'm so glad my friends and I booked here instead of at a hotel.   Comments: We loved this apartment. Having parking was a huge asset. So much easier to just pull in and out of the garage than to wait forever for a valet at one of the hotels. We split our time between events at the Halekulani (we were here for a wedding) and taking off to explore the island. The apartment itself was very clean and the AC was good and strong. We would definitely stay here again.

  Comments: This condo is perfectly located in Waikiki, only 1-2 blocks from the beach. It is well equipped and very clean. The complex the condo is in is very secure. This really is a perfect place to stay and would adequately suit a family with 1-2 small children. The full kitchen and washer and dryer are an extra bonus. The roof top pool and out look is great fun. I hope to stay here again in the future.

  Comments: This room is kept very clean and has all the equipment you will need. I never expected my stay to be as comfortable as it was! 5 min walk to the main street including shopping center and DFS, local bus and trolley stop is just a few minutes away, so very convenient for shopping and activities. Unfortunately, I encountered a Wi-Fi trouble, but right after I reported Jun-san, he took action to solve it. He is very responsible. I totally recommend him for your stay in Waikiki and would definitely choose to stay at his when I will go to Waikiki again.

  Comments: The condo was a delightful, sunny living space just a few blocks from the main beach in Waikiki. It was quiet, clean, and well maintained. We never once had to contact Jun or Evan for further instructions or questions. The air conditioners kept the rooms cool and humidity free, much appreciated during our stay as the trade winds were absent and the island was very muggy. The full size kitchen appliances were nice for storing left-overs and cooking meals when we were in the mood. The penthouse deck had awesome views and the pool was nice for a dip away from the crowds. The parking space was ample and stored our Dodge Charger with ease. There was a lot of construction on Kuhio as they build a Saks 5th Avenue so getting to Nahua was slow. But once they finish, access and shopping will be a breeze! We had a wonderful time on Oahu and the condo was a big part of that experience. We highly recommend staying here.

  Comments: I've had the absolute pleasure of staying at 444 Nahua @Jun's place. The place was immaculate clean, excellent location, and immediate responses from Jun. All the amenities are there to enjoy - from all cookingware to even fun toys for the beach (tubes and board). All cleaning equipment (Wash&dryer detergents, etc), and even trashbags on hand made it so much better! I stayed there for my honeymoon, and really would want to visit there again soon! My first AirBNB experience, and it was a perfect 10 out of 10 stay.   Comments: Jun's place on Nanhua st. is neat an tidy- recently renovated. Perfect location and great views of the mountains and canal. We loved the airy interior, and the air conditioning worked great. The layout of the condo is great for an extended stay as the living, sleeping, and cooking areas are all separated. Water pressure was great in the shower, and the in-unit washer/dryer made washing and re-wearing a breeze. Pool and observation deck on the building roof are awesome for hanging out. The bed was very comortable.

  Comments: Before we made the booking, we enquired with Jun if the apartment was available for early check-in because our flight came in at 6.00am in the morning. He was able to accommodate an early check-in and we were extremely grateful. The apartment has plenty of natural light, a great sized living area and located just a few blocks from the heart of Waikiki … only around 5 to 8 minute walk to the main shopping areas and a few more minutes from the shopping areas to the beach. It was neat, tidy and renovated well. The description and photos on the website is exactly what you get. The air conditioning worked great and the floor layout worked well as the living, kitchen, sleeping and bathroom are all separate areas. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils for cooking a proper meal and the oven worked perfectly. All cleaning equipment namely washing detergent, paper towels, portable vacuum, swivel sweeper to keep the floors clean together with the disposable cloths for the sweeper and trash bags were all provided which made living just like at home. The bonus is having a washer and dryer in the apartment. We did encounter intermittent WiFi dropping out and there was a little noise from the construction site on Kuhio Street as they are building Saks 5th Avenue at the old Market Place site. The building is also very secure and we did feel safe staying here. Check-in instructions were exactly as described without any problems whatsoever. We highly recommend staying at Jun’s apartment.

  Comments: Jun's apt is conveniently located in Waikiki but close enough (with a parking space) to Ala Wai Blvd for a quick getaway to other parts of Honolulu and the island. The clean, spacious apartment has a lot of amenities that a hotel room wouldn't but are very useful (washer/dryer, real coffee maker, etc.) - and w/o a resort fee. I would recommend Jun's place.

Even a complimentary space in the parking lot came in very usefull for our rental car. Waikiki beach is just a 4 mins walk away.   Comments: This was our first experience with Airbnb and we are totally satisfied. Jun provides everything. The place does look exactly like the pictures. It's studio size so perfect for my husband and I. We did not watch TV or cook to much in the room but it was "home" at the end of the day. This was the perfect room to choose, I totally recommend. The beach was not far at all, it's literally a 5 minute walk to the Moanna hotel (which sits along the beach). You're conveniently located by Duke's market place and King's Village. The bed was comfortable (Hawaiian style) and the room had AC, lovely kitchen, WIFI connection is great and the bathroom is his and hers. What I also enjoyed was the bathroom amenities. The washer and dryer was so convenient! If you're looking for a great place to stay, I recommend Jun's place. One word to describe - AMAZING!!

  Comments: The place is very clean and nice for me and my mom. It's spacious than I expected. Washer and dryer are very plus especially if you come from the U.S. Detergent was there on the site someone left so I could use it to wash towels :) If you are planning to rent a car, this place is perfect for parking and going to Kailua, North Shore because very close to the street next to the river. You don't need to go circle because of one way road. Jun is very nice and always responds me quickly. Definitely would recommend to anybody :) Mahalo Jun san!

  Comments: We enjoyed our stay in Waikiki, and found Jun's apartment generally comfortable and functional. However, the listing for a "Waikiki 1bd" led us to believe that we would have a 1 bedroom apartment, not a studio. This is a STUDIO apt. We were traveling with our 6-months-old baby and had expected to have an enclosed bedroom for her to sleep in while we could continue to use the apartment. This was a disappointment. Now that I look back at the listing photos, I could have surmised this, but nowhere is it stated. The absence of a lanai/veranda (not advertised, but still missed) made this worse. Accessing the building using the lockbox wasn't difficult. It was great to have a parking space and a washer/dryer. The full wall of windows were nice, and you have nice views of the Honolulu hills, especially at night. The description "super clean" in the listing isn't wrong, but the apartment is a bit more cluttered feeling than the photos show. Also, the description that says "There is a full kitchen with brand new appliances and all the cookwares you may need to prepare your favorite meal" is true, but the cookwares are a bit worse for wear. Most items are from Ikea, and you can imagine what would become of them after high turnover use. Knives are dull or bent, strainer is torn, etc. It is functional, and we did enjoy cooking. Having dish towels would have been nice, as it felt weird using white hand towels from the bathroom. Fresh sponges, too. It is also strange in a place that advertises cooking options that there was literally nothing for food prep. I love having an empty fridge, but no salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters, or oil was inconvenient. Having Food Pantry a block away was nice, but kitchen basics (which even resort condos provide) would have been helpful. We enjoyed our stay, but I don't think we'd return to this unit again. The parking space is on the 5th level, so you have to loop around quite a lot to find it, but having parking was great. There are a bunch of weird storage areas in the garage: it looks like owners use their parking spaces to store old furniture and building supplies.

The check-in process was smooth and I appreciate your attentiveness when I sent text messages. The “DISCLAIMER” regarding the unit is helpful to note. (I don’t recall seeing this when I initially booked the room – four was a bit cozy, but fine if you don’t mind sharing the open space.) The parking spot was a huge plus, as well as the washer and dryer. The building is undergoing renovation, but no major impact on our stay. We enjoyed ourselves. Mahalo!

The apartment is ideally located, a few blocks from Waikiki beach, in the very heart of everything you want to access on a daily basis (and directly at the rear of the new International Marketplace, due to open AUG 2016). It is stocked with ample supplies of necessities like tissues, paper towel, loo paper, so there's no need to run to the store. We also found the apartment very secure & the arrival instructions are very easy to follow. It was perfect for our needs and we would definitely stay there again. Mahalo Jun & Aloha!

Very clean and well equipped with everything - laundry, cutlery, some swimming equipment, tv, AC etc. Check-in was very straightforward as his instructions were very clear. Parking was a great plus!! Super convenient location, easy to walk everywhere. Only problem we had was there were some cockroaches, but we're aware that it's common here. Just make sure you don't leave any food out to keep them from coming. Thank you Jun, would definitely recommend and come back as well!

  Comments: We would have given this place a perfect rating but it had one absolutely HUGE negative for us: The bed was terrible, not just bad, but terrible. A few previous reviewers said the bed was "soft," but this bed isn't soft, it's worn out. With two people in the bed, you roll right into the middle and into each other all night long. We had a terrible nights sleep. Plus the "bed" is merely a mattress on the floor making it difficult to get in and out of. After a long day of sightseeing, you want to be able to rest at night. The bed needs to be replaced!

  Comments: The booking process, communication, checkin/checkout instructions and accommodations all met or exceeded expectations. Jun proved to be an excellent host. The unit is well furnished and comfortable in general. Nice TV, cable, comfortable couch, air conditioning and wifi (which is there but isn't the fastest, so don't expect to stream too much video) are all there. And Jun has provided all the essentials for bathroom (towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies), kitchen (all necessary cookware & kitchenware, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, oven, stove, rice maker) & beach going (mats, slippers, board, umbrella, etc) experience. The parking spot & in-unit washer/dryer were immensely useful. The rooftop view & pool are also very nice. The unit was very clean and had no issues with bugs. And the location is great if you need to get to places on foot, or be close to major roads & highways to head to other parts of the island. The only issues we had were the uncomfortable bed (which others have also mentioned) and some issues due to on going building construction (noise in the mornings & the lack of access to gym & sauna). Once I reached out to Jun, he was very apologetic for the inconveniences and did refund part of the cost for our stay.

  Comments: Jun's apartment was very clean and modern, with a lot of appliances in the kitchen available for use. The included free parking was also very handy, as well as the check in process. There were a lot of bathroom supplies too, and the apartment had a great view and central location in Waikiki. There was free wifi but this was the building free wifi network so it was quite slow and dropped out intermittently. The washer dryer came in very handy! There were two locks on the front door, but one of them was broken and the wooden frame was damaged too - perhaps an area that could be repaired for future guests. Overall we had a great stay at Jun's place and would highly recommend it!

  Comments: The apartment was very clean and nicely remodeled inside. Jun was a very organized host and provided all of the necessary information for our stay. However, we were not told about the construction going on the exterior of the building. This prevented us from opening the balcony door and there were men on the balcony making loud noises. The apartment was located close to the beaches and high end shopping, but unfortunately the actual street the apartment was on had several dive bars with XXX videos and homeless people sleeping on the street. I did not feel completely comfortable with my small children in this location.

  Comments: Jun's place is like home. My mom and I spent three nights there, and it was very comfortable and everything you need is fully equipped. Bed was clean and comfortable - it was a new mattress. We cooked our meal, and had coffee every morning. I think this place is better than hotels. Location is very good - walkable to Waikiki beach and shopping malls, shops, and restaurants. The view from this apartment is nice as well. Jun is very friendly and responses quickly. The only thing is noise outside at night time but you can't complain it because it is a touristy here. I highly recommend this place!

  Comments: Location close to shopping and beach. There were some homeless people around the building. It's a old building that is being renovated. Room was mostly clean, some places were dusty and mirror/windows were dirty. Space was small and is definitely a studio not a one bedroom. Bed was very, very uncomfortable. We booked for two night but stayed for one night since we did not get good rest from the night before. Host had strict rules about towels stains and replacement is $15 a towel??? Make sure you bring your own towels. Communication with host was good, he message to make sure we got in ok.

  Comments: Amazing location and rental! Has pretty much everything that you would need besides beach towels but we had our own. Definitely perfect for my boyfriend and I during out stay; could get snug if you have more than 2 adults or 2 adults and a child. Loved how parking was included and was easy to get in and out. Prime time location if you want to be in the heart of Waikiki. We normally stay with friends when visiting but will definitely keep Jun's place at the top of our list for our future visits. Highly recommend this place and wish we stayed here for our entire trip rather than splitting it with a hotel.

  Comments: Great open bedroom that is centrally located. My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was comfortable. ABC store, grocery store, car rental, International Marketplace and plenty of restaurants are all within a 3-minute walk, and it's just a short 10-minute walk to the beach. Free parking was nice. We were close to everything, so we only used our rental car when we drove to the North Shore, Koko Head trail and restaurants/stores that were further away. In-unit washer and dryer were a big plus--we were able to wash our beach towels and swimsuits so they wouldn't stink up our suitcases. Jun's place had a bodyboard (as well as beach mat and a few beach toys for kids) that we used at the beach, and we also bought cheap inflatable innertubes and an air pump at the ABC store. I do wish beach towels were available in the unit, though, since they take up so much space in our suitcase. We did not cook at the condo. If you plan to, you'll need to buy essentials like cooking oil, spices, etc. -- the kitchen doesn't have any. The freezer had ice packs--good for packing a picnic at the beach. There are two remote-controlled window AC's--they worked great and the noise didn't bother us. Bed was comfy. Bathroom had shampoo and body wash, and has two doors -- great for ventilation so it never got steamy. There's a pool and small gym on the top floor, but we didn't use it. Balcony railing repairs were going on during our stay (mid-November), so we did see construction workers once or twice outside our window during normal business hours (they didn't see us since we kept the shades drawn) and the drilling was quite noisy once in a while. However, this wasn't much of a problem since we were barely at the condo during the day. Nights were quiet, although we could hear outside traffic just a tiny bit since there was airflow above the window AC in the living room. Jun and his co-host were very responsive when I had questions. Our flight out wasn't until midnight, so I asked Jun if we could check out late. We paid an additional fee of half the daily rate, so we could check out anytime since no one was scheduled to have the condo right after us--so glad we had this option. We would definitely stay here again! Great value for location and amenities. Thanks for a great vacation in Waikiki!

The apartment is modern, conveniently located near restaurants, The International Market, Waikiki Beach, coffee shops, etc. The views from the pool are amazing. The space itself is nicely decorated. The apartment has a good size kitchen, coffee maker, washer, dryer, air conditioning units, many television channels, free Wi-Fi, and a free parking space. Check in could be a bit confusing. It was our first time using airbnb. Had a bit of a delay getting a hold of Mako by telephone. But through the airbnb site I was able to get in touch pretty quickly. Make sure to read instructions on airbnb email throughly or get in touch with someone about finding key fob ahead of time. They ask you throw out trash, and do not leave towels on floor, which is understandable because they want to keep the place clean for guest to come. The apartments outer appearance is under construction but not that big of a deal because the room itself is spacious, clean and pretty comfortable. I enjoyed our stay and felt safe and comfortable.

  Comments: This place was absolutely perfect for us. We stayed 2 weeks and it was just like our home-away-from-home. The apartment is cute as a button, sparkling clean, and fully loaded. The kitchen comes with nice high-end appliances and everything you need to cook at home. You could even make a full turkey dinner if you so desired. An added bonus is that the apartment comes fully stocked with toilet paper, cleaners, shampoo and conditioners as well as Kleenex, first aid kit, sewing kit and high quality towels. Plus a washer and dryer. There's a gorgeous roof-top pool and bar-b-que area, and the building itself is quiet and secure. Check-in was a breeze. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

  Comments: Overall we had a good stay this was our first time using Airbnb. The condo was well stocked, all basics in the kitchen, nice to have the washer/dryer to wash the towels halfway through the week. However there was construction on the outside of the building. It was quite noisy and we had workers outside our window some days. The biggest complaint in the condo is the roller blinds. They are very difficult to open and close we had to fix them every time, the chains would come apart. They also do not offer much for darkness in the morning the apartment gets very light starting at 6:30 am making it difficult to sleep. Other than that the condo is as seen in the photos, but I would say it is a studio as there is no separate bedroom it’s open to the living space.

  Comments: 必要な物が十分な程揃っており快適に過ごせました｡ ｷｯﾁﾝを使用する場合はﾍﾟｰﾊﾟｰﾀｵﾙはありますが布巾が無いのであれば便利です｡立地はとても良く直ぐにｸﾋｵ通りの真ん中辺りに出られます｡ﾚﾝﾀｶｰを借りた方には駐車場もあり､ﾊｲｳｪｲに乗るにも便利な場所です｡屋上にはﾌﾟｰﾙ､ｻｳﾅ､BBQｺﾝﾛなどがあり金曜日の夜はﾊｲｱｯﾄの花火が見えます｡ﾌﾟｰﾙは夜になると温水になるのでnightpoolも楽しめます｡

Close to Waikiki beach (2 minute walk), close to the grocery store and close to everything Waikiki as to offer (shopping, restaurant...). The walk-in was super easy. Jun instruction were very clear, so even if our flight arrived late at night everything went smoothly.

  Comments: 運良く前が空いていたのでｱｰﾘｰﾁｪｯｸｲﾝにも対応していただけました｡ 予約前に質問してみるといいと思います｡ ﾁｪｯｸｲﾝﾎﾞｯｸｽとFOBｷｰも分かりやすくて困る事はありませんでした｡ 建物が工事中の為少し騒音がありましたが日中はいないのでそれほど気にはなりません｡ 建物の古さ､素朴さが初めは少し気になりましたが部屋の中は綺麗で快適なので2日目には全然気にならなくなりました｡まさにﾊﾜｲに住む感覚でした｡ 備品は洗剤含めほぼ全て揃っています｡ 持って行くのはﾄﾘｰﾄﾒﾝﾄくらいでしょうか｡ 普通のﾀｵﾙは1ｾｯﾄずつ予備があるのですがﾋﾞｰﾁﾀｵﾙがなかったのでｳｫﾙﾏｰﾄで1枚3ﾄﾞﾙくらいで購入して使いました｡ 小さな子供連れでしたので室内に洗濯機があるのは本当に助かりました! 1日2回くらい洗濯したでしょうか｡ 寝ている間に乾燥機できるのは時間の有効活用でした｡ ﾋﾞｰﾁまでは少し距離がありますがｲﾝﾀｰﾅｼｮﾅﾙﾏｰｹｯﾄﾌﾟﾚｲｽを抜けて行くと雰囲気も良くそれほど遠さを感じませんでした｡ 中心にあるのでどこに行くにも歩いて行けてﾊﾞｽ停も近くとても便利でした｡ 部屋にあったﾎﾞﾃﾞｨﾎﾞｰﾄﾞを持ってﾊﾞｽでｶｲﾙｱﾋﾞｰﾁに行ったのがとても楽しかったです｡ またお世話になりたいです! Its location is ideal for: - exploring the island by car from there (parking slot provided) - having plenty of restaurants in walking distance - being super close to Waikiki beach (walking distance) The apartment is nicely decorated and has air conditioning. The building itself is a bit older, though still in a good condition and not really an issue. We would visit that place again :) thx for hosting us

  Comments: Jun’s apartment was the most important part of our trip! The value of this apartment is off the charts. The amenities that were included were perfect for first time visitors to Hawaii. Our location, ease of access to the building, and not to mention the free parking, were key components to our vacation!

  Comments: Great location! Was only a 10-15 minute walk to many famous Waikiki waterfront restaurants like Duke's Waikiki and House Without a Key. Only a 5 minute walk to the International Marketplace as well. The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed from linen to kitchenware to bathroom toiletries. They also provide some useful items for the beach like a beach mat and chairs which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay close to Waikiki. The parking spot that comes along with the unit was clutch as well since we used our rental car to travel the island everyday.

  Comments: Jun's place was a great find! Located right in the heart of downtown waikiki - you are a 2 minute walk from the famous marukame udon (we ate there 3 times!). His apartment had everything we needed for our stay including towels, shampoo/conditioner, laundry machine, and a fully stocked kitchen. The rooftop with pool is a great touch, views are very nice. We hope to return again soon!

  Comments: Jun’s place is a steal. The hotels in the area so expensive. I’ve also stayed at another Airbnb spot directly across the street from Jun’s place, but Jun’s Airbnb is 1000 times better. You really get a bang for your buck. Free parking is already an amazing amenity in Hawaii. Hotels normally charge between $20-40 PER night. Jun’s place looks exactly like the pictures. I was very pleased! I felt very safe because you need the key to access every part of the building, including using the elevator. I also appreciated that there was a beach chair in the closet, which I used once. The directions for check in/check out were very clear. Jun is very responsive. I am extremely happy I stayed here, and I will definitely return in the future!

  Comments: The beach is a little bit far, but my 4-year-old daughter walked well. Delicious coffee shops and shopping centers are very close, and delicious poke(maguro) are close to our condo. And host is very kind and takes care of tourists. He is the best host.
