The apartment was clean and you can use shared kitchen, washing machine simply. They get us the overview of the city and many information about sightseeing and transport and so on.   Comments: Die Unterkunft war genau so wie beschrieben, nämlich sehr schön und sauber. María hat uns sehr nett empfangen, uns die Wohnung gezeigt und Tipps für Barcelona gegeben. Es war eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und man hat sich sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und auch ruhig, obwohl die Lage sehr zentral war. Zudem hatte man seinen eigenen Bereich mit eigenem Bad und ein zusätzliches kleines Zimmer, welches man noch als Wohnzimmer oder zusätzliches Bett benutzen konnte (zusätzlich zu dem allgemeinen Wohnzimmer des Apartments). Generell kann ich den Aufenthalt nur sehr empfehlen und würde es auch nochmal buchenm.

  Comments: Hola ! It was one of the best trips made so far in Spain! One of the best part of the accommodation was the location it was in the prime area La Rambla! Traveling to the airport or by metro to many junctions was convienent ! The family was wonderful and. Extremely helpful. The day we arrived they helped us with our itinerary for the weekend as per our wish! They recommended good cafes just the local style.exactly what we were looking for.The room was very comfortable.   Comments: Ein fantastischer Aufenthalt in Barcelona- Dank Maria und ihrer Familie! Marias Unterkunft hat mir und meiner Freundin sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer sieht aus wie auf den Fotos und war super sauber! Auch das zweite Zimmer mit einem Single Bett eignet sich für einen Besuch zu dritt. Die Lage ist perfekt für jegliche Art der Tagesgestaltung-ob an den Strand, zum Shopping oder zu den Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten... zu Fuß oder mit der Metro (die nächste Metrostation ist keine Minute entfernt!) Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt!!! Danke für ein paar wunderschöne Tage in Barcelona!

  Comments: My wife and I arrived just after 8 pm on a Friday evening and was received by Maria who made us feel at home. The whole apartment is clean and tidy and the bedroom and bathroom served our purposes completely for our short stay of two evenings. The shower unit is a tad small but was perfectly adequate for our needs. Although we didn't expect it, Maria had set out a continental breakfast for us on both mornings; the second morning of which we had to get up at 6 am to get to the airport, but she still got up to set breakfast and see us on our way. All in all, Maria's apartment suited us perfectly. Would we use it again? YES.

  Comments: Maria and Juan were terrific! Her home--with elevator!- is a few steps off Ramblas, yet positioned so there was little noise. The Room/bath/ was at teh end of the house and very private. The house was very clean and airy, and Maria provided us with a good breakfast every morning. The Liceu Metro line was right near her on Ramblas, so any sight not walkable (very few!) was Metro-close. She really helped me! Her friend--an expert hairdresser--wonderfully came to the house and cut my hair--sorely needed. I left Barcelona happy and well-groomed, too! We could not have been in a better property than at Maria's.

  Comments: The apartment is perfectly located just across a metro station. the unit and room is as described. Very clean and comfortable beds. beside this, the host was wonderful, and she tried as much as possible to help even though we had almost zero knowledge of Spanish. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to be in the heart of the city and la Rambla area.

  Comments: First of all, Maria was incredible. She truly made us feel at home and helped us with everything. Her recommendations as to where to go, what to see and what to eat were incredible and she gave us directions and instructions on how to get everywhere we wanted. It was amazing to see how at home we felt. When even we wanted to go to the beach one day and she even gave us sunscreen, towels and an umbrella! I cannot stress enough how sweet and accommodating she and Juan were. I am lactose intolerant, so I let her know and that same day she bought me soy milk! She made us breakfast every morning and it was lovely! The apartment was in a perfect location! There was an elevator in the building, which made it easy to bring all of our luggage up. The metro is literally ten steps from the apartment, which makes everything super convenient to get to. We could not have asked for a better location. The room itself was a good size, very comfortable with big windows, and with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was just what we needed and the fact that it was private made the living situation that much more comfortable. The other bedroom was also a great size and with a comfortable bed and large windows. I highly recommend this apartment! It really was perfect for what we needed and the Maria and Juan made the experience that much better for us!

  Comments: Maria was an amazing host. We were able to check in early, she gave us directions on how to get to her apartments. The apartment has a private bathroom and we had two fans as it was very hot. The apartment is very close to the metro, like right a cross the street. We asked Maria for recommendations about where to go eat, what neighborhoods to visit, what metro to take and her recommendations were on point. She made us continental breakfast every morning. Juan recommended places where to go out. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend her place.

Maria cook me nice breakfast everyday ,although she speak little English , but using (Hidden by Airbnb) translator actually helped me learn many Spanish:) . Juan is very cute and encouraging , he knows each nice places for eat , drink or walk around ~~ The private room with bathroom is really nice , although the downstairs neighbour little noisy at night but they play very good Spanish music , I kind of enjoyed it ~ The apartment is right at the center of city , beside La Rambna , near to everything , walking distance to other sight seeings . also busy area too ~~ The good thing of the apartment is it has an elevator but unluckily during my stay its not working , Maria is so kind and helped me with the heavy luggage .   Comments: Maria and Juan were amazing hosts! This was our first airbnb experience and I was scared it might be awkward to stay with another family that I had never met, I was wrong. As soon as we walked in Maria made us feel at home. She was warm and kind and gave us advice on where to go and how to get there. I also enjoyed being able to use my spanish with her. Her son, Juan, speaks english well and is very nice. Since he is 20, he was able to tell us about all the nightclubs and bars in the area. The privacy was great. The room is at the end of the hall away from the living room and kitchen and has its own hallway and bathroom. Maria gave us a key for entry to the building, her apartment, and to lock our bedroom. We never locked our bedroom door when we left for the day. We knew we didn't need to. The room has an armoire (closet) in there for you to put your things in. The bed was super comfy and the wifi worked great. My fiance and I were even able to relax one night and watch a netflix show. The room looks exactly like it is pictured. Maria and Juan never came into the room or bugged us. When we got back at night they just asked if we enjoyed our day and then offered us cold water for our room. The shower and bathroom are small but still works great. My 6'4 fiance was still able to stand in it. Water also got and stayed nice and hot. Maria provided towels and shampoo. The area is one of the best areas to stay at in Barcelona. The Lucia metro station, which will get you anywhere you need to go in Barcelona, is literally a 1 minute walk from her apartment. Maybe even 30 seconds. She is on a side street right off of Las Ramblas. Which was great because we were steps away from tons of bar and restaurants but not too close to all the noise. The room was pretty quiet. However, I still recommend taking air plugs if you are a light sleeper. Maria is also just a 5 minute walk to the Gothic quarters, which is an amazing area. My fiance and I were randomly walking around on our first night and stumbled into a food and wine festival going on in the Gothic Quarters, it was so much fun. Stay with Maria and Juan! You won't regret it.

  Comments: We had a wonderful time in Barcelona, it's one of our favorite cities. Staying at Maria's was fantastic. Her location can not be beat. The metro is a few steps away from her home and there is an elevator in the building. Her house is spotless and our accommodations were great. Having a private bathroom off our bedroom gives a feel of your own little apartment. Sleeping was a little difficult as we could hear neighbors talking at all hours of the night. That would not deter us from staying again, her place is great. Maria is working on her english and her son speaks perfect english. We were able to communicate just fine. She is definitely recommended by us.

  Comments: Maria was a great host! Even though our stay was for one night, she did everything she can to help us stay comfortably at her place. Her English was not too good and I didn't get to see her son who speaks good English, but she has the language of heart and we had no problem. We really felt welcomed by her hospitality.

  Comments: The location of the apartment is ideal. It is close to many Barcelona highlights and has easy access to public transport links. The room and private bathroom are exactly as described in the listing, with all the essentials. María was a perfect hostess. She was easy to get in touch with, and great to get back to us with any queries we had. She was also very helpful in recommending some great restaurants and cafes, and other helpful hints for getting around Barcelona. We highly recommend the coffee and breakfast at Satan's Coffee Corner! We had a wonderful weekend in Barcelona and hope to visit again soon!

  Comments: The place is clean and tidy. The fact that it comes with an attached private bathroom offers much personal space and convenience. While the room/flat is not super sound-proof, that is clearly understandable. It is also just a few steps off La Rambla and metro station Liceu, ideally located to gain easy access to different attractions and good restaurants.

  Comments: Maria's AirBnB location was absolutely perfect for experiencing authentic daily life as well as tourism in Barcelona. With it being right on Las Ramblas there was very easy access to metros, trains, popular sites, bars, and nightlife. As far as the the family goes, anyone who is able to stay with Maria, her son, and (if you're lucky enough) her extended family should feel very grateful. They were extremely sweet and helpful. My only regret is not staying a few days longer :( but hopefully there will be a next time!

We especially liked the good water pressure and hot water, something that was not consistent during our visit to other cities in Spain. We especially liked the location - a quieter street on the corner of Las Ramblas, the biggest shopping and dining area in Barcelona. Maria made herself open to questions and helped us check in early. Bien que ne parlant pas français ni anglais (et nous pas l'espagnol), Maria nous a donné de bons conseils sur les lieux à visiter et les transports en commun. Juan parle très bien anglais et son enthousiasme est communicatif ! Vous pouvez aller les yeux fermés dans les cafés ou restaurants qu'il vous conseillera ! Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié la situation centrale du logement : idéale, surtout pour un séjour assez court. C'est sûr, nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir chez eux la prochaine fois !

  Comments: We are welcomed by the host Maria, she's not an English speaker, but still very communicative, warm-hearted and very helpful. The apartment sits in the heart of La Rambra, directly at L3 Licea station, 1 minute walk, making us very easy to get anywhere, either on foot or take metro. There are also bike rental in the near, giving us more choices touring the city. Other than the unbeatable location, the room is not too big, but neat and clean, with a convenient private bathroom. Despite locating in the most popular street, it is very queit. Maria and his son Juan is living in, they share kitchen and living room with us, but left us great privacy. On our "tourist" schedule, we hardly met them time to time, especially we never got chance to met Juan, but when needed, Maria is always around. We had a wounderful stay at Maria's, and would recommend to others.

Maria è una persona squisita, gentilissima è pronta a soddisfare ogni esigenza! Ma un 10 e lode va sopratutto alla posizione della casa, al centro di Barcellona sotto la Rambla e a due passi da tutto. Consigliatissimo!

  Comments: Firstly, Maria and Quan are amazing hosts, hospitality was perfect. We were with my 4yrs old son, who enjoyed lot with Maria:) The Rooms were well equipped, nice and clean.   Comments: What a beautiful place and what a lovely warm and welcoming people. Maria, Jorge and Juan were the best. The back part of the apartment is nice and private and very quiet. You enter bedroom nr 1 which has a door to the hallway with bathroom and another bedroom in the back. Perfect for 2 or 3 people to stay. Communication is amazing, very helpful and great service. Definitely would go again.

  Comments: Maria's son Juan was our host while she was out of town. He was very welcoming and shared lots of information with us when we arrived. He spoke excellent English. The room was PERFECT for our family of 3 - double bed in one room, small hall to the private bathroom and single room for our son at the other end. It was like having our own little apartment. It was very clean and comfortable and a fantastic location! Would absolutely stay there again and recommend to others.

  Comments: Clean attractive apartment at a reasonable price but we did not get a more personal welcome than a typical hotel provides. Nice neighborhood but the host has no map or list of supermarkets, etc for guest use. Juan is quick to answer emails on behalf of Maria (who speaks no English) but he was very rarely home in person during our four days. Maria never suggested we call Juan for answers, so i presume the phone number provided during reservation is Maria's own number. The bedroom is smaller than pictured, so the bed crowds a space cut up by two hallway doors in opposite corners and an armoire in a third corner. The bathroom and the kitchen are located on opposite sides outside the bedroom. So if one guest is moving things in or out of the armoire, the other guest can access either the bathroom or the kitchen but not both except by climbing on the bed. The guest bedroom door is at the end of a long (and nice) hallway that connects the kitchen, the living room and all other rooms. So the bedroom door has to stay closed if guests want privacy, otherwise the interior is visible from everywhere in the hallway. Keeping it closed can slow air circulation on a hot summer day, but for me the bigger concern would be the absence of a normal and fixed heat source in the bedroom for winter because in the US a portable heater is considered a potential fire hazard (except for temporary purposes) and therefore illegal in a rented bedroom. Fortunately there is a fixed electric heater in the bathroom 22 feet from the guest bed. I recommend this rental for its cleanliness and great location for sightseeing and the airport bus.

  Comments: I went to Barcelona with my mum and cousin for couple of nights to celebrate my cousins birthday and offer her an unforgettable experience of a city she had never visited before. I can truly say that, thanks to Maria, Juan and their home, we had one of the best holidays together which will be hard to forget! The house cannot be more centrally located, with everything reachable by foot (saving you money on transportation), the rooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast coffee was fantastic (I am Italian and I love my coffee and this one is Good!). But what really set This experience apart is Maria's kindness and willingness to take the time to suggest us the best way to make the most out of Barcelona, as well as to recommend us a fantastic local place to eat (one of the best arroz in my life!) - this is what really enabled us to have an absolutely wonderful time! For these reason (location, cleanliness and welcoming) I will certainly recommend this accommodation to everyone who wish to have a good time and make the most of Barca! Gracias Maria & Juan! :)

THE LOCATION! Just steps away from La Ramblas without being exactly on it. The Liceu train stop is right out front as well. I would definitely stay here again.

  Comments: The best location in Barcelona!!! Just around the corner in Las Rablas, but still quiet room to the inner yard. It is just like staying in a hotel, because you have your own bathroom, but you can still have the local touch and new friends, if you like. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Maria and her son and really friendly and nice. Elle possède sa propre petite salle de bain (+wc) et peut accueillir facilement trois personnes dans deux chambres séparées reliées par un petit couloir. Je vous recommande fortement cette chambre pour un séjour agréable en plein cœur du quartier le plus touristique. Quant à moi j'ai adoré María et mon prochain séjour à Barcelone se fera forcément chez elle!

The flat's interior is pleasent, everything is in good shape, clean and tidy. We had no complaints. The flat has a supreme location, about 10 metres off La Rambla. Plenty of nice bars around, and the port is easily in walking distance. Overall I would definitely recommend this place. Good value, with a pleasent apartment and a lovely host. I reserve the fifth star for truly great value for money, and La Rambla is a bit shady at night. So don't get the wrong idea from that;) I hope to stay here again.

Close to the hop on, hop off, bus to airport, and Maritime Museum. Our room and bath were fine and the elevator worked well. The problem we had were other guests along with Maria stayed up until over 2am drinking, smoking, and talking loud making it very hard to sleep.

  Comments: This home was a fabulous home away from home! The location was absolutely the best possible location in Barcelona. It is truly just steps away from Las Ramblas and the Liceu metro stop was at the corner. Maria's home was quite lovely and very comfortable, while Maria herself was very gracious and hospitable. She even had coffee and muffins for us, which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. There was an array of business cards and helpful information in her very welcoming entrance foyer, and she answered any question we asked. The rooms for us were much more like a private suite than simply a room. First there was a locking door to separate you from the other areas of the flat, then the largest bedroom, a hallway with a comfortable and clean bathroom, then a second bedroom with a smaller (twin size) bed. All perfect for us. The hall and both bedrooms have very tall windows. The elevator to the flat was also very appreciated after we spent our days walking all over town. The street seemed quite lively, even into the night on the weekend, but I always felt very safe and no noise whatsoever traveled to our bedrooms. Maria was always friendly and pleasant when we saw her, but also gave us plenty of space. Staying at Maria's house added nothing but lovely memories to our great time in Barcelona. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to stay at this great place on any future trip to this wonderful city.

Maria gave us a key to the room+house+entrance of the building so we felt free coming in and out at any time! the room isnt big but it's great for 2 people, everything was clean and it basically looks like the pictures show. we were worried a bit about have noise coming from La Ramblas but it was really quiet during the nights. she doesn't have an air conditioning but has a ventilater. we came to Barcelona when it wasnt so hot so it worked out well. she has a dog but tried her best so that we dont feel her presence Maria was really kind, gave us many tips and info about everything! definetly recommend!!

  Comments: Maria's place is what you're looking for if you want to be centric and close to the main tourist attractions. Las Ramblas is a place not to miss when visiting Barcelona and this apartment is literally by it. We had our own bathroom as well which is great as you don't have to worry about sharing with anyone else. It is true that the pictures looked only slightly different and also it got quite hot during the night, we had higher expectation for the price being, but I guess the price is more about the location. However, our visit was nice and María was a very nice host.

Helaas sprak zij geen Engels dus communicatie ging met handen en voeten. We hadden allebei een eigen kamer. Kleine nette badkamer. Locatie van de woning is top. Paar stappen vanaf La Rambla. Dichtbij een metrostation. Er is een lift in het gebouw aanwezig. Totaal geen last van de geluiden van de drukke straat. ‘s Nacht wel veel geluid vanuit het huis. Het is er erg rumoerig. Deze plek is een aanrader voor jong en oud.

  Comments: This apartment is so central to everything with a bar just downstairs and next door which will help you go through Spanish wines, it is 20 steps from the most famous street and the gothic quarter. I can’t even describe how central and fantastic this area is.. the metro is so close and so easy to use. The room is so grand for the cost with private bathroom and as I travelled with my daughter we had separate bedrooms. We were able to use all kitchen and laundry facilities and Maria is such a help with transport and areas to visit ( her son speaks fantastic English and such a joy to talk to). We actually picked their place as they had a puppy, we are animal lovers and we were so lucky to enjoy the love of Maria’s Dalmatian puppy! Staying at Maria’s house felt like visiting with family in the best way! I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

  Comments: The place where we stayed 'La Rambla', I think is the most happening and lively place in Barcelona. And for me this has been the most important aspect for staying at this apartment. We had everything in the area ranging from shopping complexes, food stalls, local bars, pizzerias to churches and even one UNESCO World Heritage site (Güell's Palace to be precise). As for our host, Maria's as good a host as you would expect. And for the apartment, it's really a nice and quite place to spend the night. The only downside I can think of is the apartment's WiFi which regularly got disrupted and we had no internet for a while. Also, since we visited Barcelona in March, it was quite cold and we were really surprised with the inconsistency of hot water for bathing. It was one of the quickest bath I've taken until now :P Nevertheless, the place 'La Rambla' with it's exhilarating atmosphere, be it day or night, should be a good enough reason to stay at Maria's.

  Comments: This place is a few steps from the Opera House and the Gothic quarter. It is less than 10 steps from La Rambla but is still quiet inside. The location could not be more perfect. Maria let us check in late and was always extremely quick with her responses on the phone, both before and during our stay. This room actually has two rooms separated by a small bathroom sharing one entrance so it's perfect for two people or a small family. The place is simple, adequate with no frills. Maria and her son were friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that I could hear heavy snoring from the guest staying in the room outside mine and noises from the adjacent bathroom which woke me up early in the morning.

Our flight was initially delayed and Maria was incredibly understanding around this, upon arrival Maria was easy to communicate with and helped us check in and made us feel right at home with her hospitality and local tips. The room was actually much nicer and more spacious than we expected with a double bed in one room and a single bed in the other and we were given a separate set of keys for our own space. Very clean, nicely decorated and the perfect place to recharge from the fun of Barcelona. We did a few loads of washing while at Maria’s and this was never a problem, she was always helpful and we found her an absolute delight to chat to despite the language barrier - which sometimes made it even more fun! Great location, everything was either in easy walking distance or accessible by the metro. If you’re sensitive to cigarette smoke note that there are people in the home who smoke but we didn’t find it a big deal. We would definitely stay with Maria again and recommend you do to!

One step from her door steps and you have access to everything, from transportation to restaurants, shops, pharmacy, stores, the mall, beach and everything you need. The room is immaculately clean and comfortable. She has double rooms and our place is big for two. Her kitchen is complete and we have access to her kitchen and washing machine which is very important to long travelers like us who needs to cook meals and wash our clothes. She wasn’t around when we stayed but she was very accommodating in answering all our queries and needs. She let us leave our luggages while we went around the area. Her place is a few steps away from the famous Boqueria and the Maremagnum mall. I highly recommend her place to anyone visiting Barcelona. I will definitely book my stay at her place the next time I visit Barcelona.

  Comments: When we arrived, Maria met us downstairs at the building's entrance, and she ensured that we got safely into the building and then familiarized us with the apartment, immediate area, and city. At Maria's apartment, my friend and I each had our own bed and bedroom, a private bathroom, and a lot of room to unpack all of our belongings. In addition, there is a shared kitchen, and Maria gives you full access to that space; for us, this meant making many delicious espressos. The location of the apartment is also spectacular. It is immediately off of La Rambla, which is very touristy, but still in close proximity to some terrific areas, namely the Gothic Qrt, Raval, and the beaches. I highly recommend this listing to anyone traveling to Barcelona.

  Comments: Location : excellent in terms of being right in the centre of la rambla . You get down from the apartment and you are on la rambla . To the left was towards the shopping and to the right was towards the Bay Area . Liceu station right outside and Jaume station 5 mins walk to gothic quarter . House : super clean , cute two rooms with a bathroom in between . Although bathroom was the tiniest but you get used to it . We went in the summers and there is no air conditioning . Open access to the kitchen is there . There was a hall in the house which we never got to see cause I guess it was her or her dog 's private area . We had no problem with accessing the house at any hour of day/night as we had our own set of keys . Communication: she could write her mails in English , but she couldn't speak much there was a gap there, but she was sweet to help with whatever little she could.
