  Comments: Sue was prompt, helpful and altogether wonderful. He place is perfect for two a little tighter squeeze for 4. The sunsets were amazing and the fourth floor offers a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend this condo and for the price you can't beat it.

  Comments: What a great place to stay! Went here for a sunny getaway, and loved both the location and the condo. There was a very short drive to some of the nearby beaches, and being able to watch a beautiful sunset over the ocean from the balcony was a definite plus. Other nice things: - Reserved parking at the condo - Sue has the place fully stocked with cooking/grilling utensils, plenty of assorted kitchenware, a coffee machine, and all other things to make this a home away from home. - There were occasionally sea turtle guests swimming around in front of the condo - One of the top rated chinese restaurants is directly across the street Unfortunately, there were some insects that had made their way into the apartment, which I suppose is fairly common in tropical environments. Sue responded in a very timely manner any time we contacted her, and was a pleasure to work with. We had a lovely, relaxing time in this condo, all things considered. :)

  Comments: This was a very pleasant stay. Sue was very easy to interact with and prompt in responding. It made our trip very easy. We stayed for 6 nights in the condo, and it was very pleasant. The space was clean, laundry on site, and fast internet, yay! The kitchen has everything you need, the view was great, and we felt safe in the neighborhood. We spent most of our time in Lahaina, and the condo is situated in a very convenient location with onsite parking. It is a few blocks from a great little coffee shop, a convenience store, and a few places to eat. Oh, and while there's direct beach access from the property (just down a few steps), it seems to be better for things like kayaking or taking a paddle board out, not so good for sunbathing/swimming. (But there are deck chairs to sunning on the patio and near the pool). The space is perfect for two people, perhaps a little tight for three. But we'll be booking with Sue if we can the next time we head out there. And one last thing to note: there's a DVD player! Whoot! We didn't find anything we wanted to watch at the redbox around the corner, but perhaps bring some favorites?

  Comments: Excellent location close to shopping and restaurants. The Maui Brewing company is within walking distance. We went there almost every day. The cries were terrific and breathtaking, the condo was fully equipped, even a few cold beers in the fridge when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and the living spaces were great. WiFi was a bit slow and iffy. No Wifi access in the bedroom :( Parking was easy and elevator helped a lot. There were coolers of all sizes, two beach chairs and one snorkel mask that worked. We loved the location on the island. Very close to Napili Bay! Overall a wonderful experience and we would recommend the place for anyone wanting a home away from home feel and views of the beautiful ocean.

  Comments: The condo is great and has everything and anything you would need. Sue has supplied a kitchen with anything you will need for cooking and baking. She also has supplies to take out to beach like chairs, cushions, and paddle boards. And she was very accommodating. We loved the location! We made sure to have breakfast and lunch on the balcony to see beautiful scenery. Make sure you see sunsets...great place to see it with comfort. The only thing I didn't like is that the beach isn't downstairs but that didn't really affect us as we weren't there for too long. Either way, I would book again!!

  Comments: What a great spot! We really enjoyed Sue's place! The view was incredible, the location was convenient, and the condo was well stocked. Every morning we were able to walk to a good local coffee shop. Also within easy walking distance was a convenience store with a decent amount of groceries and an inexpensive place to rent snorkel gear. The sunsets were beautiful and the facility was very quiet (which we liked). Two minor things. One is that there wasn't a lot of information in the condo (ie checkout procedures, location of trash & recycling, etc.) Also, there were no beach towels, which wouldn't have been an issue at all if we had been able to get clean towels during our stay. But instead we were using our bath towels at the beach, and they get pretty sandy and dirty quickly that way. But really, this was a very minor issue. We would definitely recommend this to others (probably parties of 2 but no more) and hope that one day we can come back! Sue gave us lots of great beach gear including chairs, coolers, ice packs, boogie boards and beach mats. All very much appreciated! thank you so much for making our Christmas stay such a delight!

  Comments: This was the best place we stayed our whole trip! The view was amazing, the apartment was beautiful, clean and had all the right little things you need while traveling. The bed was really comfy, you can see whales from the balcony! and it just really felt like home. We HIGHLY recommend anyone staying here! You will love it!

  Comments: By far the best place I stayed on my trip to Hawaii which included three Airbnb spots! This place is right next to the ocean. The grounds lead to a beach which had maybe two other couples on it when I went out to snorkel. Very secluded. Sea turtles were feeding and swimming around every day right by the stone wall that surrounded the grounds. The view from the lanai (balcony) is breathtaking. You see two of the other Hawaiian islands right there. The place itself was very clean and has a full kitchen, so you can cook sometimes instead of eating out every day. Sue was an amazing host. Very communicative and responsive to any questions. No surprises!

  Comments: Nothing but comfort. Everything about the condo was great. From the amazing view to the comfortable bed, all was enjoyed by my wife and me. It had it all. Even things we didn't know we'd need were there. Cooler, binoculars, wine opener, etc. Thank you. Now if we could only get out of this aging hotel in Kona and go back.

  Comments: Sue was very accessible and helpful throughout the process. I highly recommend renting properties from Sue in the future and plan to do so myself. This particular apartment was AMAZING and even better than described! Sleeping each night listening to the ocean was heaven, and the views of the ocean were spectacular. The neighborhood itself had everything I needed within walking distance (There's even a great Chinese restaurant directly across the apartment complex itself). And having spent the last seven years in New York City, I wasn't used to just how nice everyone was! :-) I fell in love with everything about Maui that I'm actually attempting to move there by summer's end. Do yourself a favor and stay at Sue's place. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

  Comments: This is an excellent condo in a fabulous location. We had a great time and would certainly stay here again. The view is awesome, we saw rainbows every morning and turtles swimming by regularly. There is no AC but even though it was July we did not miss it at all. There is good cross-ventilation and a steady breeze, and ceiling fans in the living area and bedroom. The complex is very friendly and we had several nice conversations with the residents. We made good use of the Jenn-air grills, cooking up steaks and burgers from the Safeway down the road in Lahaina and watching the sunset over dinner. The pool is on the small side but spotlessly clean and refreshing. The groundskeepers do an excellent job maintaining the place. Parking was easy and convenient. There is a little swimming beach right next door. There were a number of nice touches provided, including a couple of beach chairs and boogie boards. The convertible sofa was comfortable for sleeping to the sound of the waves. There is a TV and DVD player but no stereo to plug your music into. While we were here we went to the Wednesday night Slack Key Guitar show at the Napili Kai just up the road and really enjoyed that. Our only problem was a minor one, the wifi, which was extremely slow. Like dial-up speed. I ended up using data on my phone as that was much faster (fortunately there is good coverage from AT&T). Overall this is an outstanding rental at a good price, the best place we have rented on Airbnb.

  Comments: Decent place with outstanding view. Spent much time on the lanai. Sue is a good communicator with routine information. We didn't need to contact her for anything else. Was a comfortable stay despite not having air conditioning. Place was very quiet and can walk to small strip mall. Sandy beach access, which we didn't discover until later, was just 2 buildings to the South. Clean, with everything you need for the week.

  Comments: My husband and I loved staying at Sue's condo. We fell asleep each night to the soothing sound of the ocean. Everything we needed was in the apartment, from beach chairs to a bathroom night light to a coffee pot. Best of all, you can't beat the patio where you can sit and have your coffee each morning, peacefully watching the waves roll in. There was a small beach right next to the condo, but we did not spend much time there. We had a rental car and traveled to other beaches. Only 10 minutes from downtown Lahaina and we spent each night exploring the charming shops alongside the tourist traps. Bring your own beach towels. I forgot to bring them, but we bought a couple cheap at the local supermarket. Checking in and out was as easy as can be. There was a key waiting in a lockbox for us when we arrived and we just left the house keys on the kitchen table and locked up when we left. Never had a problem, so did not have to contact Sue or the property manager during our visit. We would definitely stay here again.

  Comments: My wife and I spent a week here on our honeymoon. Everything was perfect for us. The view off the Lanai is amazing. She had chairs and other beach gear on the deck for our use which was cool. The kitchen was well stocked with any and all utensils. There is a bbq right on the ocean outside on the main floor which was awesome. The California king bed was very comfy. We will return here for sure!

  Comments: We enjoyed staying at the condo. It was clean and had things we needed. We enjoyed having breakfast and watching the ocean, definitely romantic. Not having AC was a bummer since it was so hot when we got there but having the windows and sliding door open really helped cool it down at night. I would recommend another fan for summer to help with the heat. The beach gear was pretty worn out (one chair was torn up and not useable, the other had stuck zippers so we didn't use either). It was not clear how to get beach towels so we bought one. If there were ones in the complex, there were not any instructions on where to get them. Since they are not provided, having suggestions/instructions for guests would be helpful. The upgraded large 4K TV was nice and we watched TV at night. Overall it was a good experience.

  Comments: Kahana Reef was absolutely amazing! This 4th floor condo, with beach views to die for, was the perfect setting for our honeymoon. We had everything we needed for trips to the beach! Towels, chairs, noodles, boogie boards, coolers, wet suits and snorkel gear. But if your an avid snorkel, we recommend renting from boss frogs. Having no AC, was great, if you open the windows in the bedroom and the balcony door, it creates a great breeze. Location is fantastic! You can walk to any restaurant, from the condo. There's Miso Phat, China Boat, the pub, Maui Brewing Co. and a coffee shop. Anyone of the dozens of beaches is 15 min drive or less. Or you have access to a smaller beach next to the condo which is great if you like a quiet beach. If the weather isn't so great, there are plenty of books, board games, dominoes, etc. to keep you busy. The condo itself is very clean and well kept. We bought food to make breakfast for the week, and the kitchen has everything you need. Even oils, and spices, but if you're particular, i would check the cabinets first before you run out to the store. Overall we had a great week and would love to come back for our anniversary!

  Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Sue's place. The views of the water are unbeatable; we saw lots of whales (from a distance) and had multiple sea turtle sightings right next to the seawall. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable. The condo has lots of beach equipment, including snorkel masks, though you need your own beach towels. The kitchen is basic but quite functional for our needs, and we used the condo's community grill. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay here again in the future.

  Comments: This condo is located at a good location (4 min drive from Kapalua Airport), free 1 car parking, and has a nice view of the ocean. The condo is generally very clean (bed, floor, furniture) and would deserve 5 stars if not for the exception of some serious flies/mosquito issue inside the condo. Over the course of 3 nights stay, my fiancee and I killed at least 30 each and they just keep coming (can't find where they are coming from). Both of us ended up with numerous bites on face and body and ultimately my fiancee ended up with hives on her face and upper body. I would recommend this place only after owner fix the flies/mosquito issue.

  Comments: Overall we had a great stay. Of course, the number one reason to choose this place is the view. It is amazing! We used the lanai for breakfast, sunset viewing, and general lounging. The location is pretty good, halfway between Kapalua and Kaanapali but also a little tough because there isn't a beach to walk to (we knew this though). Really, our only hesitations were in the kitchen where we felt the stove top needed to be replaced (some of the burners don't work well). Plus we felt the kitchen could be better stocked with a tea kettle, for instance. The bed is comfortable but the sheets didn't fit well and kept coming off. The beach gear is great and useful but we had to rent snorkel gear because we didn't find the snorkel gear at the place very good. And also we couldn't find fins! One big thing to note: there are no beach towels. This is a huge bummer because you'll either have to spend about $17 for each or pack your own which is bulky and takes up space. Overall we liked this rental! It was quiet, comfortable, and had amazing views but with a few updates and changes, it could be spectacular!

Close to a swimming beach and beach equipment supplied by Sue. 4th floor unit with elevator and fantastic view. Chinese restaurant across the road. No supermarket close so stock up before you come. Well maintained pool, barbecue and grounds. Would love to come back for longer. Parking permit comes with the unit.

  Comments: Sue's apartment in Kahana is perfect for some relaxing days on the Kahana coast. The views from the lanai are breathtaking. Direct oceanfront views of the island of Molokai with rainbow treats almost every morning. The green turtles feed up along the sea wall every morning. The apartment is very well appointed including comfy beach chairs and umbrella. The kitchen has anything you could possibly need and the entire apartment was spotless upon arrival. Sue is a great communicator and always quick to respond to my messages and requests. I've definitely bookmarked this condo for the future.

  Comments: We were impressed by photos and description. Then upon arrival, we were amazed by the location and amenities. This unit has just about anything you could need (minus food and drink of course). Sue does a great job! The location is great if you prefer West Maui (as we do). Has a little walkable beach next to the complex and we found some pretty amazing shells on our morning strolls. We would not hesitate to recommend Sue's place to anyone.

  Comments: We stayed at Sue’s for a week and it was great! Good location close to food, shopping and lots of beaches to choose from. She shares tips on where to eat, places to snorkel and beaches to visit. There’s a DVD player to watch movies on and a RedBox right down the street for renting movies. Beautiful view and well stocked with the things you would need to make yourself at home. The shower had trouble draining one day and she promptly had someone come fix it. There is no AC but if you open the porch door and windows and turn on the fans it’s cool enough. Overall we had a great stay at Sue’s place at Kahana Reef!
