  Comments: We were looking for a place to crush in for our one-day visit to the national volcano park, and we contacted Merlenna the morning we intent to stay. Merlenna was super responsive - approving our stay and sending us instruction within minutes. The place, as described was very huge with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was quite clean although the bedding looked a bit of old, but we were satisfied with our one night stay. We even woke up in the morning seeing some peacock in the yard. The place is very close (~15mins) to the Jagger Museum where we saw the famous lava glow at night. Definitely would recommend this place!

  Comments: The house is wonderful. It is clean and cozy. The three bedrooms and two bath are great for large group of people. The kitchen is also big and have all the things you want. By the way, it is a great place to see stars in the evening.

  Comments: We really had a wonderful time in the house. We made meals together and made a celebration of Chinese New Year with my families! All kinds of cooking utensils are well-prepared in the kitchen and it is quite convenient! The environment outside is quite beautiful.

  Comments: We reserved both levels of the house. The house was clean and well kept. The upper level is much nicer. Choose this level if you are not a large party. The hosts - Jimmy and Christine - were nice and did everything they could to accommodate. We had a problem with the hot water late in the evening and Jimmy drove 45 minutes to the house to fix it. We also had a smell problem in the lower floor, which they could not fix. They said they will partially reimburse us for this, which is nice of them.

  Comments: This house was perfect for our large group. Each family memner got thier own bed and that was awesome. we rented the entire house so we had upstairs and downstairs the space was a luxury. The neighborhood is a quiet area right next to the Volcano National Park which is exactly where we wanted to explore so this made everything very Easy for us. The house came with plenty of linens and everything we needed to keep warm and feel comfortable. I got The feeling like we were at an aunt's house or something, a little olden style, but quaint and cozy. The host was immediately there at the email that I sent when I lost the lock code. she also offered me an extension of stay (when I requested to stay a bit past check out tume) because they had no one coming in immediately and I thought this was very kind of her! We will definitely be back. The description was accurate we are happy :)

  Comments: We stayed here for our visit to the Volcano national park. I fell in love with this comfortable and cozy home with its lush green surroundings. The dehumidifiers were incredibly effective at keeping the apartment warm and dry. Hilo was a quick 45 minute drive. One of the best Airbnb experiences. The host was very kind and communicative.

  Comments: We enjoyed staying at this home in the tropical forest near Volcanoes National Park. It is located in a quiet, secluded residential area and it gives you a real feel for how the locals live. There were a few neighborhood dogs barking when we arrived in the late afternoon, but by evening everything quieted down for good night's sleep. It is easy to find and only a couple miles from the park entrance. We had done this trip 15 years ago and it is so convenient to stay overnight at a home like this to enable another full day of exploring the Park. This home is roomy and has a nice full size kitchen to cook meals for your family. There are plenty of towels and the bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. Plenty of blankets are available as well for those cool nights in the tropical forest!

  Comments: This is a very quiet and beautiful place in the woods and literally minutes from the Volcano National Park and also the shops and restaurants in Volcano Village. Easy to find and a superb place to stay while taking in the natural beauty of the national park. It is indeed very chilly at night so the electric blankets on all beds was very nice.

  Comments: 房源的地點很靠近火山國家公園,但是我們很可惜的我們造訪時剛好遇到國家公園關閉,所以沒有辦法造訪｡Merlenna的房子為我們在雨中提供了很好的庇護,讓我們在一陣狼狽中可以得到很好的休息與安慰｡房源的佈置非常溫馨與溫暖,廚房一應俱全,房間非常舒適,浴室跟整潔都很好,是個很值得推薦的住處｡

  Comments: The Jade house (upstairs unit) is in good condition, very homey. While it may be a little dated in the interior looks, the space is functional and very cozy and comfortable. LOTS of blankets for chilly nights in Volcano and easy access to the park and nearby Volcano Village. Has basics in kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of space to sleep six in bedrooms and a very comfortable living area with what looks like newer furniture than in the photos. Large TVs in master and living area, with books, DVDs, and games. Check closets for games and more blankets. A quiet and peaceful home, and if you stay in the upper unit you'll enjoy looking over ferns and through ohi'a trees. Beautiful location. Easy access as long as you're good with a few stairs and we loved the combo lock instead of having a key. Filtered water for drinking and hot water works great. We had four adults and we were allowed our two pugs which we brought with us from Kona and we are very grateful for that. Mahalo for sharing this home with us.
