Advantages: it's really near line 6, 2mins on foot; also, the M 96, which bus can transfer you to the west of Central Park; disadvantages: the room for airb&b is really small, and not exactly like the pictures on airb&b.

  Comments: Chris is an exceptional host. Since the first time she replied all my messages immediately and helped me a lot with all my inquiries. At the time i arrived to NYC she was waiting for me at the apartment, which I must say it is a real cozy apartment, perfect for one single woman, everything was clean, organized and settled for me. The location of this apt is pretty convenient for my first stay at the city, the subway and bus were right there in the corner and the neighborhood it's beautiful and safe (even if you are walking after midnight). So! For my first airbnb experience, was perfect!!!

  Comments: Christine was a gracious and accommodating host. The apartment was very clean. The bed was soft and comfortable with plenty of pillows, clean sheets and blankets. There isn't really any space on either side of the bed - you kind of have to climb into it from this spot near the end. This didn't bother me. There are plenty of drawers and cubbies to hold your items while you're there. The kitchen is available to use, and the bathroom is perfectly adequate and very clean. Also the neighborhood is very safe and nice. The apartment is right next to a subway stop for easy access to whatever you're doing, and there is a lot of good food within walking distance. I'll definitely try to stay with Christine the next time I need to go to New York.

Son emplacement à deux pas de la ligne 6 du métro est un super atout. On y est vraiment en moins de 2 minutes. La literie était super confortable et j'avais un accès à la cuisine et à la salle de bain. C'est une petite perle dans Manhattan.   Comments: The stay at Christine's was just what was needed. The bed in a cozy corner of the living room was sufficient. As this was a very last minute booking that was needed for only 7 hours--a night's rest and a shower--I was grateful that Christine accepted the request. She was helpful with directions and due to the late hour (10 pm) she retreated to bed. At that point, it was like having the small apartment to oneself. Due to the summer heat, the fan in the window in front of the bed was a welcome addition. Overall, staying there was a pleasant experience, especially due to the artistic flair to the apartment and the privacy the short visit afforded.

  Comments: Das kleine Apartment von Christine liegt total günstig, gleich neben der U-Bahn, Supermärkte sind in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Die kleine Wohnung liegt hinter ihrem Laden. Es ist alles zwar klein, das Bett befindet sich hinter einem hohen Regal, aber alles ist gemütlich und total ausreichend, da man ja ohnehin in der Stadt unterwegs sein möchte. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und Christine ist zuvorkommend und aufgeschlossen. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt würde ich jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke für alles!

  Comments: This was my first AIRBNB experience as well as my first time in NYC so I was quite nervous. Christine quickly put my worries at ease and made this experience amazing. She was very kind, offered helpful tourist tips and went above and beyond to accommodate my late check in and check out times! The bed is so comfy and I found the small space to be quite cozy like a little caccoon. The neighborhood was peaceful at night so no need for earplugs. The location is perfect. There are lots of food options and small convenient stores close by. Her place is also 2 blocks away from Central Park and different museums. I would highly recommend Christine to any female visiting NYC. This is a perfect place if you're an NYC Noob like myself. I will definitely book here again!

Le logement est propre. Christine a dormi dans la pièce à côté qui est une boutique. La rue est calme. Dans l'appartement on peut entendre les bruits de passage des autres habitants de l'immeuble. Cela ne m'a pas empêché de dormir ceci dit! La localisation de l'appartement est très bien, très près du métro.

It's exactly as described - cozy, small, and literally at the subway stop. It's a super small space, so if you're not comfortable with that, this also might not be the space for you. Christine was really nice and let me bring my luggage in before check in time, and it never felt awkward. This was my first shared airbnb experience, and it was super reassuring to know that there would only be me and her, and no male guests. Perfect for solo female travelers. Hot shower, towels, no frills, and excellent value. I would definitely come back.

If you are looking for something close to the subway and Central Park, where you could go walking to the city is perfect for you. Around the apartment there are restaurants, deli's and markets where you can have dinner or buy foods for your stay. The only problem was that my flight was cancelled till following day and I missed one night :(

It was very close to Central Park and walking distance to several museums, and really easy access to the subway to get downtown. While there isn't much room for sitting and chilling inside the apartment, the pictures explain perfectly how much space you have to stay in, so I would suggest this place if you plan on being out and about during your stay.   Comments: Christine is a nice considerate host and was flexible with check in as I was very exhausted after 26 hour long haul arriving early am. The place is a very tight fit like many NYC’s apartments,but in a good location and ground floor which was good for me with issues with stairs. I didn’t have a lot of time there, just a place to sleep, so fine and good value for the budget traveller. I felt very safe & secure. The area is close to numerous subways Central Park. I would guess the limited space would be an issue for some however.

Very hospitable - clean, cozy apartment - I'd recommend if you will be out and about most of the day and need an affordable place to sleep.

  Comments: This is a perfect location, on a block where the host knows everyone. Two blocks from the park, 50 feet away from the 6 train that gets you anywhere in Manhattan. Healthy, affordable food at corner markets. This is a small clean space, perfect for sleeping, and the host assures you have privacy.

  Comments: Chris’s place is exactly as described but the location is amazing. You are steps away from the 6 which connects you to Midtown, Bronx, Grand Central, WTC, and other subway stops. A delicious pizza place is two steps away ($4 for a slice and soda) along with two grocery locations on either side of the block. I had no fear walking around the neighborhood at night while on the phone- I went towards Park Ave and down towards the 80s. Chris is an awesome host. Very accommodating and great for recommendations on points of interests. I stayed for 6 nights and she gave great suggestions including what to get at the grocery for my developing cold and what to do in Chelsea. When I’m back in town, I will definitely check her availability.
