  Comments: Se você tiver a sorte de reservar e ficar no Bucolic Art House, vai com certeza compartilhar da minha opnião. A casa é maravilhosa, muito além do que imaginava. A localização atende a todas as necessidades de deslocamento, transporte e a rua é calma, aprazível e super segura. A suíte é confortável e a casa oferece uma área comum com toda infraestrutura para o hóspede. Os anfitriões são pessoas maravilhosas e nos fazem sentir muito a vontade na casa. Sempre dispostos a ajudar!!!!

  Comments: This was a great place to stay. The location was great for being close to the city but not in the middle of it, with a backyard and pool. The room where I stayed felt like my own apartment because of the private entrance and bathroom, which was really appreciated. The walk to the bus stop is not bad at all, 5 mins, but coming back it's a lot uphill. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to someone visiting the city.

  Comments: Gloria est un hôte disponible, bienveillant et particulièrement arrangeant. Elle nous a donné toutes les informations nécessaires quand aux moyens de déplacements sur Rio ainsi que sur les bon plans dans son quartier. Polyglote, notre hôte nous mis de suite à l'aise dès notre arrivée à l'aéroport et ce jusqu'à notre départ. La maison est magnifique. Située dans un quartier très calme et bien desservi, on s'y sent rapidement à l'aise. Et pour tout voyageur étant seul, il y a souvent d'autres voyageurs chez Gloria avec lesquels on peut échanger. Le seul point qui pourrait être considéré comme négatif serait la montée pour y parvenir mais vous trouverez toujours un taxi pour vous y amener. En ce qui concerne la suite Portinari, elle est un peu isolée dès autres chambres donc plus commode pour un couple en ayant tout de même la possibilité de socialiser quand il y a du monde près de la piscine. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôte.

  Comments: The neighborhood is lovely and the house is very nice. I had a good room and Pablo's mother was very nice. The only thing I didn't like were the neighbors dogs. I love dogs but these two where right under my window barking a lot specially at night.....

  Comments: I have spent a month at Pablo’s mother house. I have never seen nor spoken to Pablo directly, so it is difficult for me to write this review. I intended not to write a comment, but if I had known about the downsides of staying at this property, I would have stayed somewhere else. I noticed Pablo’s mother was highly emotional and aggravated upon the first 5 minutes of my arrival, after politely asking her if the room she was showing me was the same I had booked (the rooms did not have the same name). After seeing her disproportionate reaction to my question, I wrote to Pablo so that I could meet with him and discuss the fact that I was feeling unwelcomed (with the intent of making arrangements to cancel my reservation). He responded that it was a misunderstanding and that I was welcomed, so I decided to move on and let it go (him and I finally never met). I should have trusted my inner voice because from there, things slowly went downhill. I am not going into the details of everything she said and done, but at the end of my stay, I reported Pablo’s mother to Airbnb for psychological harassment (that was a first - I do not feed off negativity and I did everything I could to stay at peace with everyone). Also, the host filed a claim against me for clogging her sewer drain with my used tampons, which was rejected. Long story short, Pablo’s mother tends to blame everybody for everything without acknowledging her own responsibility. I addition, she is not always truthful, not tolerant and does not seem to appreciate people staying at her house, which does not feel homey at all. My analysis of the situation is that her defensive attitude is related to her fear negative comments (because she keeps tab of everything and seems to play a game of chess, which I refuse to engage in). In retrospect, I believe none of that would have happened if Pablo’s mother had an Airbnb account of her own. I also do not appreciate how Pablo handled the situation (he let his mother deal directly with Airbnb and never communicated with me via e-mail, phone or face to face). If I did not have an office space that I could go to everyday and if I was a fragile individual, my stay in Rio would have been deeply affected by this experience (which is why I am writing this review). On a positive note, I recommend staying in Laranjeiras if safety is your first priority, but maybe closer to Rua da Laranjeiras and not as high up in the hills. I am thankful that this place was extremely affordable; otherwise the price for staying there would have been quite high.

  Comments: Local muito agradável, quase dentro da floresta da Tijuca. O local tem facil acesso à onibus (10min a pé) e até metro (10min de onibus). Anfinitrões bastante atenciosos e compreensivos. Há diversas regras na casa que devem ser respeitadas para que sua estadia transcorra de modo tranquilo, como higiene e respeito ao meio-ambiente, basta ter bom senso e dar uma boa lida nas regras antes. De resto, o local é realmente abençoado, uma rua sem saída, silenciosa e com comércio e facilidades a pouca distância.

  Comments: That goes to all Aibnb comunity. Once again I had the privilege and lucky to be able to book a room and stay at the Bucolic Eco Art House. I believe that was my third time with them and the experience continuos to get better!!! The Hosts are the most friendly, well educated and nice people that you could possible wish to deal with.   Comments: Gloria and Pablo  welcoming at home, in which we were happy to spend two weeks:  is  a very beautiful and safe area, place at the foot of the mountains surrounded by greenery, pure air, silence, birds singing, amazing view. The area and the house itself is very safe and are under the supervision of cameras and guards. Very friendly people live in the neighborhood. Also, the house is close to shops restaurants and on Saturdays the market works perfectly. The house is pleased with its purity, green garden (mangoes fall on the ground), comfortable hammock, a clean swimming pool (transparent every day),very nice shover near the pool, wi-fi very fast and strong signal, comfortable kitchen (blender, coffee grinder, juicer).Strong water cold and hot every wear in home. Plenty of space for relaxation and a quiet reading. The room with private bath is very clean and  is equipped with air conditioning and a fan. We were very happy to spend our holiday in this house. The next time we are happy to stay in this house, and advise my friends!     Гостиприимный Дом в котором мы были счастливы провести две недели находиться в очень живописном и безопасном районе. Место у подножия гор утопает в зелени. Чистый воздух, тишина, пение птиц, изумительный вид. Район и сам дом очень безопасные и находятся под присмотром камер и охранны. Очень благоприятные люди живут по соседству. Также дом расположен рядом с магазинами ресторанами и по субботам работает прекрасный рынок. Дом порадовал своей чистотой, зеленым садом (плоды манго падают на землю), удобным гамаком, чистым бассейном, комфортабельной кухней ( блендер,кофемолка,соковыжималка). Много места для релаксации и спокойного чтения. Комната оснащена кондиционером и вентилятором. Мы были очень рады провести наш отдых иммено в этом доме. В следующий раз мы с удовольствием остановимся в этом доме и посоветуем друзьям! =)

  Comments: Nous avons sejourné 10jours chez Gloria, Alexandre et Pablo. Logement superbe, très agréable, propre et calme. Chambre privative soignée et parties communes conviviales donnant sur l'agréable piscine exterieure dans le jardien arboré. Le quartier est complètement sécurisé, nous avons pu profiter de la vie nocturne de Rio sans problèmes! L'emplacement est idéal, commerces à proximité, bus desservant les différents quartiers (centro, lapa, plages...) en 15min max. et métro Largo do Machado à 5min en bus. Parfait point de chute pour visiter la ville. Logement tenu par des hôtes accueillants et chaleureux qui vieillent au bon déroulement de votre séjour ! Du petit guide pratique des alentours aux conseils pour visiter Rio, tout est fait ici pour que nous passions un bon séjour ! Logement fortement recommandé !   Comments: Nous avons été très bien reçus par Pablo et Gloria. Les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié de pouvoir bénéficier de la piscine et du jardin, alors qu'il faisait si chaud à Rio. Inespéré en pleine ville. La clim fonctionnait bien, pas trop bruyante. Quartier tranquille et sécurisé. Bonus : Gloria parle français. A recommander.

They were able to accommodate us on very short notice and we would definitely recommend the Bucolic Art House to those visiting Rio!

  Comments: The bucolic Eco-house is simply a fantastic place to stay. Gloria and Alexander (the hosts) are incredible people - interesting, caring, passionate, and really wanting to make their home a place of exchange and enrichment. While staying at the Eco-house I've had loads of interesting chats with both the hosts and fellow guests! The house itself is a brilliant space, with spacious, comfortable (and always clean!) communal areas, a lovely pool, and complete kitchen facilities. The location is well placed in between the centre and the beaches. It's well connected by bus and off the tourist trail, so you get to experience authentic Carioca life in a laid back neighbourhood. As someone who has travelled quite a lot, i think what is available at the bucolic eco house is well beyond anything you'll find for a similar price- especially if you stay at the house long term.

  Comments: Staying with Gloria and Pablo was a refreshing experience. They are easy to get along with and their house is amazingly catered for Air B&B. I had a fantastic time, and only regret not staying longer. The house is well situated. Halfway between the beach scene of Ipanema and the downtown crowd of Lapa. I was able to move about freely and felt rewarded coming back to my room. Thank you for the moment in time. Alexander

  Comments: Glória and Pablo são anfitriões fantásticos com todas as qualidades para tornar a nossa estadia em uma experiência maravilhosa. O Bucolic Eco Art House é ainda melhor do que as fotos e descrições, sendo um privilégio ser hóspede mais uma vez na casa. A localização é perfeita, estando perto dos principais pontos turísticos com fácil acesso a todos os meios de transportes. O bairro é uma delícia e muito charmoso. O conforto na casa é tanto que podemos relaxar e aproveitar a piscina, fazer as refeições com toda a infra estrutura ao ar livre e curtir a natureza. Nada melhor depois de um dia longo de passeios ou mesmo trabalho do que descansar na tranquilidade do local. Destaco a limpeza da suíte como em toda a casa. Tudo organizado e sempre cuidado atentamente pelos anfitriões. Outro detalhe importante é a grande segurança e tranquilidade da rua onde se localiza o Bucolic Eco Art House.

  Comments: Nous sommes restés chez Pablo et Gloria pendant trois semaines lors des Jeux olympiques (Août 2016). Notre séjour s'est très bien déroulé. Gloria et Pablo sont des hôtes très accueillants et à l'écoute. La maison est très bien équipée, de même que la chambre. Nous logions dans la suite Cézanne. Le quartier est très sécurisé et le logement est bien placé par rapport aux transports publics et aux supermarchés, restaurants et autres (notamment le Corcovado). L'ambiance au sein de la maison était parfaite : des voyageurs de tous les pays réunis pour les Jeux Olympiques. Gloria et Pablo nous ont même invité lors d'un dîner. La piscine est très agréable, surtout le matin et même en hiver, et la cuisine bien équipée. Les espaces communs sont spacieux et décorés avec des peintures réalisées par Gloria. Nous recommandons ce logement à 100% et nous n'aurions pas pu trouver mieux par rapport à tous nos critères. Nous espérons y retourner un jour. Ondine et Benoit

  Comments: Gloria and Pablos home is a beautiful sanctuary in the heart of Rio. I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. Gloria made sure I had everything I needed and was very attentive and helpful going above and beyond what I would usually expect from a host! The pool and garden area is a wonderful place to relax, the kitchen facilities are great and the wifi exceptional. The house itself is bonito and having air conditioner was a huge plus!   Comments: Gloria is a fantastic host that was very accommodating to any requests we had. She was constantly reaching out to make sure the stay was going well and even asked for suggestions to improve our experience. We received a well prepared guide with many recommendations as well. The pool was a lifesaver in the heat of Rio! It can be a bit of a challenge to walk up the hill but on the positive side it is in a very safe place with a gate and guard before you reach the home. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing midpoint between the center and the beaches!

  Comments: Such a wonderfull place in the middle of Rio. Its so peacefull and yet so central.Its a tropical and secure area with restaurants, cafes and local markets, where you can buy local food and delicates for example. I returned here because the enviroment in laranjeiras is so good. Many turists only knows copacabana and so on . But if you want an area very central to everything in Rio you should choose this place. There is a metro station around 2 kilometers from the house.From this station you can go everywhere in Rio. You can safely walk, take a bus , uber or a taxi to the station. Its an autentic eviroment here in laranjeiras and people are so nice here. About the house: A house with a lovely pool and a romantic and artistic garden , very friendly hosts who respect privacy and at the same time always is ready to give advises too. They speak english. There is wifi here ,which functions very well also. The rooms are cozy and clean and the kitchen area is outdoor . You can sit there in nice sofas enjoying the sun in the daytime or at night enjoy the silence and the sounds of abes and tropical birds. The owners of the house are both artists and that is obvious when you enter the house. There is a sence for details in the house. I really enjoyed staying here several times and i will for sure return again. I recommand this place to others . Its a good price for good quality.

  Comments: Faisant un séjour d'un an à Rio ( études ) et dans cette maison, je conseille vivement de venir chez Pablo et Gloria. Quartier très calme, et très sûr. Très bonne relation avec Pablo et Gloria, ils sont très disponibles, à l'écoute et très accueillants, tout en parlant plusieurs langues. Maison très propre, très bons équipements ( bonne connexion, grandes cuisines, et piscine ). Maison placée à proximité d'un supermarché, d'un marché ( le Samedi ) et de plusieurs restaurants. 10/10

  Comments: Em todas as vezes em que me hospedei na Bucolic fui muito bem recebido. Os anfitriões são ótimos e o espaço é aconchegante e estiloso, além de ter armários e geladeira individuais para cada hóspede. O bairro das Laranjeiras é calmo e seguro e existe oferta de transportes para os principais pontos da cidade. Vale ressaltar que a casa está localizada próxima ao Trem do Corcovado, sendo possível ir a pé (+-20 minutos de caminhada).

  Comments: O quarto é espaçoso e confortável. A casa é linda e muito aconchegante, com um grande espaço de convívio para uso exclusivo dos hóspedes (cozinha, sala, piscina). Os anfitriões são excelentes, sempre prontos a ajudar fazendo com que a estadia em sua casa seja uma ótima experiência. Super recomendado.
