  Comments: L'appartement d'Irena est situé dans le Queens, à Astoria, dans un quartier tranquille et très agréable. De nombreux commerces et de lieux de restauration. A quelques centaines de mètres de la station de métro (ligne N), et à une vingtaine de minutes de Manhattan. Idéal pour une immersion dans la vie new-yorkaise. L'appartement est très confortable, propre et bien équipé. La communication avec Irena s'est bien passée : elle s'est montrée disponible, a répondu à mes questions et ses explications pour arriver à son appartement depuis JFK furent précises et très utiles. Je recommande vivement cet appartement. Thanks Irena !

  Comments: My primary reason for my NYC was to visit friends and family in Queens. Irena's apartment served me very well. It was convientently located close to family/friends homes but also near restaurants, bars and shops; it was about a 15 min train ride to Midtown Times Sqaure and 20-25 mins to Union Square. Ire a was very accommodating when it came to checking in/out. She also followed up with me to see how my son and I were doing, which was very nice of her. She was also responsive to any questions I had. Her apartment was very clean; the photos she has posted are accurate. Enjoyed every minute being in her apartment. Cozy and warm. Although there is no cable there is wifi and Netflix. But why would anyone stay in to watch cable TV during their stay in NYC? ;-) I recommend this apartment.

  Comments: My train was delayed and Irena went above and beyond to make sure I found the apartment and got settled in even though I was late. The neighbourhood is quite residential but a short walk to take the train into the city and there's an incredible coffee place right around the corner. Exceptionally clean, this was a great place to come "home" to :)

  Comments: Stayed at Irena's Astoria apartment while in NY for my daughter's wedding, it was everything we needed. Close to trains, lovely, diverse neighborhood, comfortable and secure place. Irena was great with communication once we finally connected (had a bit of trouble with timely communicating in the week before our trip), and responsive and helpful when I had questions. Would reach out to Irena again next time I go to NY.

  Comments: We spent 6 nights at Irena`s apartment with my sister. The flat is at great location, about 8 min walk to the subway and about 15min to Time Square. The area is safe and clean. There are some shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. The bed is very comfortable. We had some issues with cleanliness. We felt the apartment wasn`t cleaned before our arrival. Also to work out how the shower works was a bit difficult, but Irena came over and showed us. There is no cable, but you van use Netflix. Anyway, watching TV is not necessarily what you want to do in New York. The flat has everything you need for a short stay. Irena was helpful.

  Comments: It was very easy to book Irena's cute apartment. Checking in was also a breeze: she met us at the apartment to show us around and hand off keys. Good location: starting with a cheap fare from LGA. The N Q train was less than a ten minute walk. The Trade Fair was easy for groceries: on the way to/from the apartment and also open 24 hours. It was a nice treat to settle down at night on the couch with a cup of tea and a Netflix show on her smart TV.

  Comments: We lovers our stay at Irena's apartment. She met us upon arrival and checked in with us via text during our stay. Perfect size apartment for two, bed was very comfortable, a short walk to the train and we felt very safe in this beautiful neighborhood. We would have liked a coffee maker and she forgot to stock us with washcloths but we did fine with instant coffee and made do just fine. Would stay here again.

  Comments: Staying at Irena's place was lovely. She was extremely accommodating and the location was quiet but extremely convenient. I was in town for a conference and this was a great location to jump on public transportation and be in midtown in 20 min. Thanks for a great stay!

  Comments: I had a lovely time staying in Irena apartment, I felt completely in home. All was clean, tidy and working. Irena checked me in showing me everything of her apartment, was since the beginning very communicative and considerable. The bed is super comfortable, the neighbourhood is safe and quiet, 5 mins walk to N subway going to Manhattan, full of shops arround part of them open 24 hours. VERY RECOMMENDED!

  Comments: L'appartement est encore plus joli que sur les photos. Il est douillet et propre: parfait pour se reposer après avoir marché toute la journée. Le logement est plutôt bien situé. Le quartier est assez sympa, il y a beaucoup de petits restaurants du côté de la gare sur la 30th avenue. Irina a été réactive sur les messages et nous a facilité les choses. Je recommande.

  Comments: Irena has been a helpful and flexible host -- she organized the keys for me when I could not confirm exact time of arrival and send message with all useful information. The apartment is conveniently located for local amenities -- a few good Greek restaurant around. The flat itself was in an old building and it is clean and neat. There is free on the street parking although one has to pay attention to street cleaning rules. Overall we had a good time.

  Comments: Irene kindly made her apartment available to us early, as soon as we arrived in New York. The apartment was just as described - cozy, very quiet, and with everything we needed to feel "at home." Astoria is terrific. The neighborhood felt very safe, there were many interesting restaurants nearby, and a great subway line (very quick access to Manhattan) was within easy walking distance. We were sorry that we didn't have an opportunity to meet Irena, but she was immediately responsive when we texted her with questions. This is a great NYC bargain!

  Comments: I didn't get to meet Irena in person, but she was kind to leave the keys behind to help me get into the apartment. The place is cozy and comfortable for two people. It had all the necessity we would find in our own home. We drove from Boston and it was really easy/safe to park our car overnight. I love how close Irena lives to the trains (N&Q lines). I would definitely come back in the future! Oh yeah, the bed and pillows are super soft! It was really hard to get up in the morning.

  Comments: Our experience seems to be quite consistent with that of the other reviewers. Irena was really good with communication and made staying there seamless. As others have mentioned, she had everything you would need in the apartment to have a comfortable stay. The place was clean and great for the two of us. Anything you would need (food, market, pharmacy, tailor, cell phone, laundry, coffee, gym, nails, etc) is within a 7 block walk, and you have a quiet place to come home to. The neighborhood is safe and very convenient to Manhattan. The walk to the subway stop felt much shorter than it looks on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps and felt very safe at any hour with people always out and about, but mellow. The internet, which we needed for work, was reliable too. As a native New Yorker, I liked getting a chance to stay in Astoria too. It's a cool neighborhood in central to everything for us. I would highly recommend it. Thanks Irena!

  Comments: Irena was a great host! She provided me with clear directions on how to get into the apt. and was flexible with her check-in/check-out policy. The apt. was clean and just as pictured. It was a hot time in NYC but the place was comfortable due to a accommodating air conditioner. The kitchen was complete and allowed us to make a meal or two. The area in Astoria was convenient and we were able to fine onstreet parking easily. There are plenty of fun restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely go back. Thank you Irena for helping to make our 1st visit to see our new grandbaby perfect.

  Comments: I stayed in Irena's lovely apartment for a month. The neighborhood is great, the street of the apartment is very quiet at night and you'll find many nice restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Great location and super convenient, near the trains and easy access to Manhattan. Irena was a great host, was very quick to respond to any issues and made herself available straight away if there was a problem. I would definitely stay again and fully recommend the apartment to others!

  Comments: We arrived in NYC in the afternoon and got to the apartment in the evening with cell phones lacking power. Irena had provided directions via email that afternoon but with the failing batteries on the cell phones it was difficult to pull-up the information (no fault of Irena). Once we accessed the emails from Irena we had no issues getting into the apartment. The apartment is very conveniently located to the 30th ave N/Q subway line (about 5 blocks walk), a grocery store on 30th, a Smoothie place on Crescent, & downtown Astoria with a lot of choices of good restaurants. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe..... Astoria is quieter and more residential compared to staying in NYC where apartments are much more expensive and noisier. The apartment itself is small as expected but nicely decorated with bathroom, living area, kitchen, and bedroom as depicted. We ate out all meals except breakfast so did not really use the kitchen much but it was very convenient to have use of refrigerator and microwave. The apartment was clean, the bed comfortable, and the air conditioning a blessing for the muggy weather of NYC in August. Irena did a great job of communicating, ensuring that any issues were quickly resolved (the breaker on the air conditioner popped and was resolved with a quick email to Irena). Would definitely stay again at Irena's apartment in any future trip to NYC!

  Comments: We did not meet Irena, but it was very easy to check in and get settled, and she responded to all messages right away. The apartment was cozy, the bed comfy, and the shower hot. The stove is gas so make sure you know how to use that safely. The apartment is quiet, close to the subway and a ton of restaurants, cafes, and fro-yo!

  Comments: Irena was available and helpful and responsive. Her apartment had everything we needed for our stay. We had lived in Astoria a long time ago and enjoyed the neighborhood very much; we found comfort food at Crescent Kitchen and great Peruvian food at El Ancla and baked goods at El Fournaio. There was easy access to Manhattan on the N subway line, and we had good experiences with Ecua car service when we needed a car.

Il quartiere è tranquillo, a pochi passi si trovano un supermercato e posti per fare colazione o mangiare qualcosa la sera. La metropolitana è abbastanza vicina, 5 min a piedi e in circa 15 min si arriva a Manhattan. Non abbiamo incontrato Irena personalmente ma abbiamo comunicato facilmente con lei per metterci d'accordo e avere le indicazioni. Consigliatissimo.

  Comments: This place is great. The subway station to manhattan is a 5 minute walk. At night its quiet enough that you can retire from the city in peace each day. There are numerous places to eat all within walking distance. You know it's a safe neighborhood when you see kids running around at 9 or 10pm on their bikes. We would definitely stay here again!

  Comments: Great location. Very easy and fast to get into Manhattan and see attractions. I loved the fruit markets and grocery stores in the neighborhood. If you don’t feel like going into Manhattan, there are great restaurants and bars close by. I highly recommend staying here.
