  Comments: we very much enjoyed our stay at sacha and hanna. the location is perfect, the apt gives everyone enough space and the terasse is the best place to hang out after a long day out. we have been provided with fresh fruits and water and most of all with a list of insider tips where to go, have food, take a drink, go clubbing...... def would come back another time again!

  Comments: Could't possibly be better! The place is very nice and clean, as well as spacious. House personnel was adorable and super professional. Great breakfast in the morning. Location cannot be better...just a short walk from Ipanema beach and very close to the most popular bars and restaurants in the city. And it is still a quiet place! We were a large group so we had some complaints for being a little loud the first night...but then everything worked perfect. Thanks Sacha and your wonderful team for our wonderful stay!

  Comments: Nous avons passé un séjour génial dans ce penthouse ! Il est idéalement situé, pratiquement au bord de l'eau ; proche des rues commerçantes, des restaurants, des banques... L'appartement est parfaitement entretenu au quotidient par une personne en charge du ménage et de votre petit déjeuner. Outre son efficacité, cette personne est en plus juste adorable. Sacha est un Pro ! Il devrait ouvrir un hotel ou une conciergerie :-) Il est hyper réactif à la moindre demande, c'est super agréable. Je suis quelqu'un de particulièrement pointilleux et exigeant, et je recommande VIVEMENT ce penthouse pour un séjour réussi à Rio/Ipanema.

  Comments: We had a fantastic Holliday staying in the 6 bedroom penthouse. And in the end much more value for money than staying at a random boutique hotel. The location is superb. Just around the corner from posto no.9 where it's all happening. We were welcomed by Maria the cleaning lady who had been a great help and made us feel safe and at home. I would recommend this place to any flashpacker like ourselves! Sara

  Comments: Las fotos no corresponden al apto que ofrecen, no es un apto sino son dos unidos por un pasillo. En la oferta decía 7 cuartos y cuando llegamos eran 6 cuartos, y nos toco enviar a otros amigos a un cuarto que el anfitrión ofreció como compensación, Los baños no cuentan con el servicio adecuado, de hecho no pudimos utilizar una habitación, por el mal olor que tenia el baño. Adicional por el precio que pagamos no corresponde al apto. Quedamos muy inconformes, lamentamos informar a todos los interesados que este apartamento es muy malo y no recomendamos su alquiler.

  Comments: Great location on prime street in Ipanema less than a block from the beach. Very safe and nice area. Bath amenities and souvenir Brazil flags left in each bedroom. Everything was very clean and lovely maids made breakfast every morning with eggs and coffee and fresh fruit. Great wifi service and Sonos as well. Also very good air conditioning in each bedroom. That all said, the apartment in real life does not look nearly as nice as it does in the photos. Each bathroom is a hodgepodge of different plumbing fixtures. One shower has the boiler controls in the wall inside the shower. Water in the front unit (with balcony) ran hot and cold which made showering interesting. Also a toilet in one of the front bedrooms has an electric pump to help it flush. This is fine, except it also had a water leak from the tank to the bowl so the pump was activated every few minutes and the noise made sleeping in the bedroom impossible. The whole place could use a professional paint job. Overall it's a nice space with great potential but all feels a little too unfinished for what they are charging.

The quality of the premises are five-star, the cleaning service is great and the breakfast is waiting for you every morning in the terrace. Great experience and great service from Alex both prior and during our stay.

  Comments: Nos hospedamos en el Penthouse de Alex con 7 amigas y la verdad fue una muy buena experiencia. El espacio es súper confortable y cuenta con todas las amenidades necesarias para hacer una estadía placentera. Los desayunos son abundantes y riquisimos y el servicio de limpieza muy atento y predispuesto. El anfitrión también súper amable y ha respondido a todas nuestras inquietudes previas a la estadía. Súper recomendable, de viajar otra vez a Rio con amigas seguramente volveremos!

  Comments: Nos fuimos a Rio con 9 amigos a festejar los 40 años, la verdad que el departamento fue una grata sorpresa!. Vimos las fotos y nos pareció espectacular, pero siempre uno tiene miedo de que haya algún truco. Realmente no fue el caso, el departamento era todo lo que decía, los cuartos en suite estaban todos muy buenos. La terraza del penthouse estaba increíble, tenía vista a la playa muy linda, y era todo muy cómodo. Hacíamos todo caminando: la playa esta a 40 mts, y los bares y supermercados están muy cerca. Gracias Marta por todo! Algún día volveremos!. Slds Juan

  Comments: when we arrived we found the appartment easily. the place is not on the front beach but very close. the place look a lot bigger in the picture but in fact is a lot smaller especially the rooms that are small. the wifi did not work for the hole stay and the cleaning ladies that were supposed to come did not show up the next day of our arivals. they came on he next days. the bose system also did not work and the air conditionning was only functionning in some of the rooms. the water pressure was very low so we could not have proper showers. the palce was ok but a lot too pricy for what is was. we had difficulties to get answers from the hosts even thought they always responded after some time.

  Comments: We rented the whole penthouse. Most unfortunately nobody was in apartment at the agreed time of check in, neither the host was available over the phone during whole first day (neither ever replied SMSs messages). Once woman picked up the phone, quickly said the host will call back and hung up, then never returned the call. We got into apartment only by pure luck - previous guest was leaving and left us the keys. Half of the penthouse bedrooms were not made up. In my bedroom bed sheets were not changed (! - noticed right before going to bed). Next morning housekeeping lady arrived and sorted out everything. We were extremely happy with her and her peer services. However first day and night was a disaster :( The location and neighborhood was perfect for us. Most of the rooms have very poor sound isolation from the street noise, which was quite annoying beginning 6am.

  Comments: Our group of 13 had a great experience. The penthouse apartment was clean, updated, and well maintained. It's in a perfect location a block from Ipanema beach. There was a doorman 24/7 and the building felt very safe. The maids were very friendly and provided light breakfast, coffee, and juice. They also offered a complimentary load of laundry. Alex was very responsive and flexible with our check-in time. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely return!

  Comments: The only nice thing about this apartment is the location. No one greeted us at the apartment, the apartment is extremely dated and all the furniture needs replaced. The roof leaked so bad every night that we woke up to a flooded apartment everyday. This was such a bad experience that I will never use Airbnb again.

  Comments: The apartment was great, and we had an amazing time. The maids were very helpful and breakfast was ready every morning. The place was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The only issue we had was communication with the host. We tried contacting him a few times while we were there, and never heard back. I had issues with getting responses before the trip, so this was a continuation of that issue. Other than that, everything else was great.

Só tenho elogios a fazer a eles e a simplesmente maravilhosa e paradisíaca mansão que com eles alugamos. Graças ao tratamento que me deram antes, durante e depois da nossa estadia, posso dizer que foi um final de semana que jamais esquecerei e que, se Deus quiser, um dia não muito distante terei condições de repetir. A mansão é linda, muito bem localizada, com ponto de taxi, farmácia, mercado e padaria no próprio quarteirão. Enorme, cheia de ótimos quartos e com uma área externa maravilhosa. Alex e Camille, MUITO OBRIGADO. De verdade! Alex and Camille are simply sensationals. Not only as individuals but also as zealous hosts for their guests. I have only praise to give to them and simply wonderful and heavenly mansion with them rent. Thanks to the treatment they gave me before, during and after our stay, I can say it was a weekend I will never forget and that, God willing, one day not too far I'll be able to repeat. The mansion is beautiful, very well located, with taxi rank, pharmacy, market and bakery on the same block. Huge, full of great rooms and a wonderful outdoor area. Alex and Camille, THANK YOU. Really!

  Comments: This place is Perfection ! It is modern, relaxing, beautifully designed and comfortable, we felt like staying in a luxury hotel. My friends and I spent the most perfect holidays and we would never want to leave this place. We loved the location, litteraly close to everything, beach, restaurants, bar.. All were walking distance. It was really convenient as we were several people and we did not need to rent a car. Alex was the perfect host. Welcoming, extremely helpful with local tips. We were thrilled to wake up every morning with a dreamy and fresh breakfast prepared by his lovely maids. Our only mistake was not staying longer in Alex's place! We will definitely come back.

  Comments: We were Group of 12 and we really enjoyed our stay here, Alex and Camille were fantastic with great communication throughout, the penthouse is absolutely beautiful and the staff were always on hand to cater to our needs! I would highly recommend this Penthouse to anyone and everyone. I will certainly be staying here again with family and friends. Thank you kindly Camille and Alex and your staff ! Nothing was too much trouble and Alex went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, day and night. The breakfast was also amazing - delivered freshly made to our door and prepared in our kitchenThe penthouse is even better as it appears on the website and what a location, we were right on the Beach of Ipanema, steps away from our now new favorite brazilian restaurant Garota de Ipanema where I tasted one of the best steaks I ever had. The only thing we missed was the nice weather during our stay as we came during a rainy week, however we were able to watch movies in the living space on a projector screen which was pretty awesome! There is a supermarket, bank, taxis, restaurants, metro station, ATM’s, Starbucks, Bar, and fast foods less than 5 minutes walk away and you must try ‘Polis Sucos’ just around the corner for the best fruit juices and Acai . The other feedback is just to be clear about your expectations from the staff, they are happy to be working around your wishes and be present or absent depending on how you would like and plan your holiday, and it also comes down to the language barrier so just let Alex know what you would like when you arrive if you do not speak portuguese. We had a wonderful time and can't recommend the Alex or the Penthouse enough.

  Comments: Our family LOVED our stay at the Penthouse...We were enjoying Rio so much that we tried to extend at our FAB 5 star hotel but that was not possible. We found Alex's place on 'instant book' and went for it with no (Website hidden by Airbnb) was in fact so much better than the hotel because we all had space to relax after full days at the Olympic Village ( a 5 min walk to the metro to get to the 40min ride to the O Village ) , beaches ,restaurants, sights & shopping...everything was close by..Alex was super helpful. It was wonderful to have the home help prepare breakfast & help with other chores.. (Hidden by Airbnb) translate was must to communicate with the lovely ladies or let Alex know and miraculously it happens! saying here made Rio even more enjoyable..keep up the great work....Would love to return and would definitely stay here again..

  Comments: Wow, what an amazing experience we had staying at this property! It was a family trip and we couldn't enjoy it more, the house looks as good as in the photos and the team managing it are very polite and helpful. We had our privacy, and no - the lack of curtains has not been a problem to us (because this could never be a real problem). The view from the terrace are great and we spent the afternoons having coffees and watching the sundown. The cleaning team is very nice and they did a great job, everything shined when we arrived. We also ordered the breakfast which was delicious, so fresh and healthy! The house is big and spacious and we liked the design. Location is perfect right next to the beach but also close to the city center. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Ipanema and we can't wait to get back! Thanks a lot Alex and the team!

The apartment is bright, spacious, surprisingly quiet (though it is located in a lively neighborhood), just a few steps from the beach and close to a large variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The host was super responsive, accommodating and the local staff was so kind. We were greeted with fresh fruits and warm smiles! The place looks just like the pictures (or better). We definitely plan on coming back!

  Comments: Nice terrace and OK rooms in size. With the exception of two rooms in the back which are almost unacceptable. The air conditioning is very outdated and extremely loud in those rooms. That part makes the apartment a low value for money.
