The space was clean - great appliances - full kitchen - washing machine, etc. Good neighborhood with everything close, including trains, restaurants. Street parking is easy if you drive in. Definitely recommend this home and will try to stay here again next time we come to Brooklyn!

  Comments: We loved our 2-bedroom in Brooklyn! Our family's first visit to NYC was outstanding and truly memorable largely due to the great accommodations. We had everything we needed from beginning to end. Very kid-friendly & dog-friendly. Aron was great! He made getting in & out quick & simple. He was always available to help without being pushy. We had concerns about finding parking, but were always able to find parking within 1 block. One caution -- be aware that parking is restricted (for street cleaning) on all streets nearby between 9:30-11:00 AM on either Wednesdays or Fridays. Plan accordingly. Great neighborhood! Convenient to local grocery stores, restaurants & subway. My wife, children and I all felt very safe here. We enjoyed walking around this eclectic neighborhood. We plan to come back to NYC to see the things we couldn't fit in and will definitely plan to stay at Aron's home, if available.

  Comments: Our stay was perfect. They had everything we needed. We had two kids and they had a blast! There were books and toys available they enjoyed (our 3 yr old said her favorite part was the reading). The home was also really cozy and felt like home. We had more things available to us at the house than we thought we would so didn't have to worry about anything. The location was perfect - walking distance to 2 stations, prospect park, and playgrounds. Aron was also great, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed but wasn't hovering. This was my first airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better!

  Comments: Aron and his wonderful family were friendly and helpful hosts. They even provided a little table and chairs that our 3-year-old loved using to play and eat on. The description and pictures accurately describe the apartment. It was so great to have the space of the two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen for our family rather than being cramped in a small hotel. The layout is fantastic with one bedroom at the front and the other in back with the kitchen/living room in between. It provided a lot of privacy so that the baby in our room didn't wake up our 3-year-old in the other room (and vice versa). Enjoyed the very plush towels! Fair amount of noise during the day from the park/playground directly next door (although we largely found the playground to provide a pleasant background noise ). VERY quiet at night. The neighborhood was fantastic. Quiet and family orientated. One block to a nice grocery store. Our 3-year-old enjoyed exploring the toys/books provided in the apartment and he loved the playground next door. He was sad to leave "our NYC apartment." We were somewhat worried about on-street parking but generally found it not be an issue. We twice got a spot directly across the street and twice had to spend a few minutes hunting for a spot. But we never ended up more than a block away (and we were driving a minivan so had to pass up some smaller spots). Also, the street out front doesn't have too much traffic so when necessary didn't seem to be a problem to double-park for a short time to unload and then find a spot to park.

  Comments: Great neighborhood and excellent recommendations all around from Aron. Felt like a very safe area, family friendly, easy access to the subway, pretty easy parking in the neighborhood, and they gave a superb recommendation for NY pizza. Host was quick to respond to all questions. The ability to do laundry was really nice. I would recommend staying there, as long as you don't mind riding the subway into Manhattan.

  Comments: We GREATLY enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn in part thanks to Aron's apartment! Everything was as lovely as described, however, we felt the beds seemed a bit larger than a typical queen and double sized beds! Both were very comfortable and we appreciated the choice of pillows with or without feathers. With the temperatures rising in the summer, the fans were very welcomed and adequate and quiet. The location couldn't have been more convenient to where we wanted to go visit family who lives in Brooklyn, and the close proximity the the subway was GREATLY APPRECIATED! The apartment was perfect for our family (Grandma,Grandpa, grown "kids" and preschool grandchild! ) Delicious restaurants reflecting the very diverse population of the Kensington area of Brooklyn and Aron's recommendations were right on! (I don't remember if you recommended "Sake" for Japanese food, but it is close and I've been there a couple of times over the past 5 years and it is great!) Important note to anyone who is sensitive to fragrances: Aron DIDN'T USE fragrance room spray prior to our arrival! This is GREAT as they make my daughter sick....plus it makes one wonder if the owner is trying to mask a bad odor! It was clean and fresh. I can't say enough positive things about Aron and his family - they are delightful and I am hoping to see his girls grow over future visits to Brooklyn. We will DEFINITELY contact Aron when traveling to Brooklyn again, and as you might guess, I would highly recommend Aron's place to whose looking for a place to stay in this area! It is especially family friendly! Susan

  Comments: We had a great time staying at Aron's place. The apartment was a perfect family friendly place to stay. They even had some books, toys and games for our kids to play with which was a great way to relax after a long day of sightseeing! We loved the diversity of the neighborhood and the fact that we could walk to the store and even to the pizza place down the road after dark and felt very safe. Since this was another stop on our east coast road trip, having the opportunity to do a load of laundry was awesome! We are very grateful to Aron and his family for their hospitality and would definitely recommend this apartment!

  Comments: Thank you for the caramel! Keys where expected. WiFi ok. Full equipment (coffee, fridge, toaster, etc.). Close to Church Av subway (F), grocery store and Burger King if you want ;). Perfect for 6 people. Enough dishes and towels for us. No conditioned air, but if you open the front door and the rear door, you can create a draft :). The only thing is noise from the upper floor early in the morning (6:30 am the first morning). Kids running, some stuff falls. I would recommend!

He was very friendly when we arrived at the place, greeted us and showed us the unit. He reassured us that we could reach out to him if we needed anything. The place itself is EXACTLY as the pictures show it. Really clean and modern and kid friendly. It has everything you could possibly need for your stay. We highly recommend Aron's place and the neighborhood. Our family enjoyed staying here and hanging out at Coney Island :)

This was out first visit to NYC - at the end of our first visit to the USA. The accommodation was ideal & comfortable for our family of 6 - 4 children aged 11 - 18. The accommodation was a reasonably short distance from Manhattan on the subway. We felt very safe & comfortable walking in the local area; even late in the evening. We would definitely return & happily recommend this as a very good place to stay.

  Comments: Had a pleasant stay in Aron's place. The apartment matched exactly the descriptions, it was clean and equipped with all the necessary items and essentials. There was enough fans to deal with the summer heat, but I missed the AC a bit. The neighbourhood felt safe and peaceful. Subway station is just around the corner, so it is very easy to get around the city. Grocery store is also just a block away. Definitely recommend this place for everybody but notice the warning about ceiling height.

  Comments: What a lovely experience we had at Aron's and Molly's place! I was a little taken aback when we arrived. We'd just spent the week before in a very large spacious airbnb on 11 acres in Mass., and the fact that this place was in the basement with little light and low ceilings was a surprise. Kind of culture shock. But Molly happened to see us standing there, and welcomed us so warmly that we cheered right up. The key didn't work at first, but Aron ran right over with another one, and we went in. They had left homemade caramels to welcome us, and it was just so sweet! Once we realized how BROOKLYN, clean, and cozy the place was, it really added to our enjoyment of our visit right in the neighborhood where our son and his wife live! It was a quiet neighborhood, a great playground right next door, toys for our granddaughter which she loved, and easy walking distance to the subway! And from there, ALL OF NEW YORK CITY was within reach! The day we arrived we found a parking place right in front of the apartment! That was the last time. Parking was consistently touch and go after that. Aron was helpful and efficient. We enjoyed our stay so much! And we also enjoyed the caramels!! We would highly recommend these folks and their welcoming little apartment.

  Comments: Aron and Molly were amazingly kind, generous and welcoming to us to their apartment. It was our very first AirBnB and we hope to rent their space again! It is a roomy apartment with two bedrooms a large living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen and they graciously left snacks and eggs and coffee for our first morning. There were 4 adults and Aron and Molly greeted us with their two sweet little girls. There home is next to an elementary school and we were delighted to wake up during week days to the sounds of children playing on playground. Their home is close to the subway. Grocery store, restaurants and bars are close. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet. Aron was very approachable and generous with any of our requests and questions. Our ride to airport on our last day did not come on time. Molly called a service they use and the driver was there in plenty of time. Molly and Aron are delightful.   Comments: what can we say ? from the minute we arrived after the long 26 hour flight from Melbourne we were made to feel so welcome. the little touches make this bnb even more special - the bowl of caramels that were on the table , the basket of goodies in the kitchen of eggs, bread etc meant we did not have to go out and find dinner on that first night. this apartment is huge - it easily slept the 6 of us and the kitchen living room were roomy enough for the 6 of us ( 3 adults and 3 children) to move around easily. bathroom spotless, roomy shower, good water presuure , fluffy towels - aron and molly have obviously travelled heaps and know exactly what weary travelers need. on top of all that they were so helpful in suggesting places to eat etc when asked. . this is more than an apartment - its an opportunity to meet a great little family who are around when you need them but never intrusive. we hope to stay here again when we return in 6 months.\thanks so much - we feel like we have made some new friends.x this was our first airbnb experience - definitely the way to travel around the world

  Comments: Aron, Molly and their bubbly daughters were extremely welcoming. We were grateful for the food gifts they left, in particular the "marathon fuel" granola bars, and they were kind enough to wish us well on race day. We were not disappointed with the apartment either - fully stocked and spacious, it was easy to make ourselves at home. We picked this apartment for the proximity to a family friend in Brooklyn but we ended up in Manhattan almost every day, with great ease thanks to the nearby F/G train. It was my mother's first time using AirBnB and she was definitely won over and looks forward to staying here again on her next trip to New York.

  Comments: Although Aron was away during our visit (it was Christmas holiday time) he was in contact with us before our trip and during our stay to make sure we arrived and found everything as he had arranged for us. The place is very clean, comfortable, with everything one could possibly need. Aron left a list of the best local restaurants (I would add the little Thai kitchen around the corner, please note). This was a very convenient place to stay, with full kitchen and laundry and a market as well as the Metro station about a block away. Neighborhood is an interesting mix of cultures. I felt safe, and the street is quiet.

Conveniently located near a grocery story and train stop. My only drawback was the notice from basketball courts just outside the window and the low ceilings in the unit.   Comments: Notre hôte fut très disponible lors de l'organisation de notre voyage: réponses rapides et efficaces. L'appartement, les équipements et le quartier correspondent à la description faite sur le site et les pièces sont propres et rangées. Nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite chez nous et les enfants ont crié : "j'adore et je veux vivre ici". Les équipements pour les enfants (jouets, DVD, lits, poussettes..) sont très appréciables pour une famille. A notre arrivée en fin d'après-midi, nous avons eu le plaisir de trouver un panier garni de fruits, pain, confitures, lait pour notre petit déjeuner. Notre hôtesse nous a même cuisiné un pain maison la veille de notre départ, merci encore, il était délicieux. Le quartier est animé, propre et sécuritaire, à deux pas des commerces et du métro (épiceries, restaurant) mais surtout à coté d'une aire de jeux pour les enfants. Il faut préciser une particularité des logements d'Amérique du Nord: la quasi des sous-sols sont aménagés pour y vivre toute l'année. cela implique que les fenêtres sont petites et ne s'ouvrent pas. Cependant, nos hôtes ont très bien aménagés l'appartement et on ne s'y sent jamais enfermé. Sans hésitation, nous reviendrions chez nos hôtes et cette fois-ci nous adapterons notre planning afin de partager un moment privilégié avec eux. Enjoy in New-York City !!!

  Comments: Aron was always very helpful and efficient at replying to messages both before and during the trip, Him and Molly were also very friendly when we met them in person. Apartment is located in a nice part of Brooklyn about 15 mins walk from Prospect Park (worth visiting the Botanical Gardens in the park) and just 1 block from a subway station which is really handy for getting around. Subway station is right beside a decent sized supermarket. Basement apartment is done out very nicely (albeit in places the ceiling is a little low so may be a struggle for those over 6ft). All mod cons and very nicely decorated. Basic kitchen and bathroom supplies provided which was really good as well as things like washing up liquid and detergent for the washing machine. The welcome basket was also a lovely touch. The only downside was the noise from the young children upstairs. There seems to be very little sound proofing between the apartment and the house above (and I think probably Aron and Molly's house has wooden floors) which means that when the toddlers are running about and getting excited, you can hear it, and at times it can be quite loud. These are the things that young kids do (we know as we go on holiday with our hordes of young nephews and nieces regularly), so we did not complain, to do so would be unfair as its not the kids fault. It did mean however that unless you are very sound sleeper you are woken on the early side each morning and/or if you are staying in (which to be fair few people do when you are visiting New York) then it can be a little frustrating. Am sad to have to give this negative feedback as otherwise it's a lovely apartment.

  Comments: Aron is a great host! He was at home when we arrived and personally introduced us to the house. Very responsive to the messages. He provided us with some food and snacks to start the trip. All the beds were very comfortable and the sofa (black) is different from the photos and is able to pull out to form a bed which we slept comfortably in. Otherwise the place is gorgeous as seen in the photos. The shower is awesome too! His place is fully equipped with all the necessary kitchenwares and it is very clean too! Place is very near the metro and Batatas was a great recommendation. Basketball court was empty in the night and morning so not an issue in terms of noise for us too. My friends and family truly enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn with Aron.

  Comments: Aron and Molly left us the nicest care package on the counter when we arrived, and we really appreciated the tips on where to eat, etc. (We ate at Wheated per their recommendation and it was great!) The apartment is cute, clean, and modern. We felt totally at home. They also had a great assortment of toys and books, which our two year old LOVED. They were very nice to put a little toddler mattress on the floor of our bedroom for her too; we really appreciated it! They also left us a stroller, which came in super handy one day. They're the perfect hosts, especially for a family! We would definitely stay here again!

The kitchen was very well maintained and provided for containing all utensils and equipment one might need. The AC works well throughout the apartment and the place is very spacious for a family. The location of the house couldnt be better. It is a very nice neighborhood and subway station and market just a couple of minutes away. The internet was amazing and never got disconnected.   Comments: La petite famille d'Aron nous a accueilli très chaleureusement et a tout fait pour nous faciliter notre arrivée sur place (renseignements avant le vol, de quoi se faire un petit déjeuner pour le lendemain matin et les jours suivants, un apéro improvisé le lendemain au frais sur leur terrasse,...etc). Nous avons également été gâtés pendant notre séjour (pain maison, cookies,...). Bref, le top ! Le quartier est super : le métro vers Manhattan ou Conney Island à deux pas, de quoi faire des courses complètes pour nos repas du soir à deux pas, des restaurants à proximité, quartier très calme et très sûr. L'appartement est très bien agencé : deux chambres séparés, aux deux extrémités de l'appartement, une cuisine très bien équipée, un salon-salle à manger suffisamment spacieux, une salle de bain avec douche à l'italienne très agréable après une journée de marche ! Aron et sa famille sont disponibles à tout moment en cas de besoin, et surtout ne pas hésiter à aller manger, bruncher ou boire un verre dans l'un des établissements que tient Aron ! On recommande !

Reaching Times Square is as close as it can be so that you don't have to overpay for a house in Manhattan and still be close enough to all the "action".   Comments: This place is beyond great! It was what we called a "pimped out basement." Getting to Manhattan was very easy from this home. The subway is also conveniently located just a block down. There's also a Food Town right where the subway is if you decide to go grocery shopping. Aron responded very quickly, even when I texted him at 11 pm because we had a problem with the shower. The place seriously provided us with everything and anything we needed. It was more than what we expected. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet at night. The price is very reasonable for a 2 bedroom in Brooklyn, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. From 6 a.m. until midnight, there is a constant basketball bouncing noise right outside the kitchen window, which is mildly annoying, but we spent most of our time seeing sights, so it wasn't too much of a bother.

The apartment itself is very well equipped -with high end appliances, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher,fridge, stove, pots and pans, etc. It was particularly nice to find a quart of milk, fresh eggs and butter in the fridge and apples and granola on the counter. There was lots of room with comfortable beds, a large living room area and very nice bathroom. Parking is available on the local streets. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

A les habitacions ens van deixar a la nostra disposició un bressol i un llit supletòri pels nens, encara q el llit d matrimoni va ser suficientment gran pel meu fill de 2'anys la meva dona i jo. Està ubicat a Brooklyn en un entorn de cases típiques molt boniques, una zona molt tranquila i amb un parc a la paret del costat q anava genial pels nens, i gens molest un cop dins d casa. Hi ha a dos minuts un supermercat que obre tots els dies de 7 a 22 i al costat el metro lones Fi G que en 30'min et porten a manhattan. La comunicació amb l'Aron genial, cualsevol dubte ens contestava ràpida i amablement. Una experiència molt agradable. Moltes gràcies família!

Close proximity to the subwaymade travel easy. An example of Aron’s great hospitality was when we had asked if there was a basketball we could borrow to use on the nearby courts. Although Aron informed that he didn’t have a basketball we came home to find a brand new basketball that he had purchased for us to use during our stay.   Comments: Tudo correu conforme combinado, o Aron é muito prestativo, localização próxima ao metro, supermercado, lanchonete, pizzaria, etc. Minha ressalva é quanto a altura do "apartamento" eu tenho 1,83m e bati a cabeça várias vezes em uma coluna que atravessa o imóvel, praticamente eu andava com a cabeça curvada todo o tempo para evitar me machucar. O Isolamento acústico do andar de cima também precisa ser melhorado. No mais, tudo certo.

  Comments: Très bel appartement dans un quartier calme. Métro ligne G et F à é minutes à pied ainsi qu'une supérette. Compter environ 30 min pour aller dans les différents sites touristiques. Les chambres sont propres, le couchage impeccable. Nous avons utilisés les 2 lits et le canapé lit, rien à dire. A l'arrivée nous attendais une boite d’œuf et du lait qui nous ont permis de manger lors de notre arrivée tardive. Burger King au bout de la rue si besoin.   Comments: Aron's property is a converted basement of his home, and it is clean and beautiful. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything that you will need! Aron and Molly also added nice thoughtful touches such as having some light cereal snacks available, board games, children's toys (although I didn't need it), etc! It is also super close to the F/G subway, and a large grocery store. My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aron's property!

  Comments: Let me start by saying I never met the host ,but my friend did. The apart is nice and very clean. Ceilings are pretty low, but I'm 5'2 and the tallest person in our party was maybe 5'6. Everything you need is there and then some. Park right next door great for some pics. Can be costly traveling to the city on weekends, but that's New York. Unfortunately we locked my friend out on accident and he had to wake the host to contact me as his phone had died. I did apologize for that incident. The downside to staying here is, upstairs is very noisy in the mornings. No alarm needed, no sleeping in. You can definitely hear most of the movements. Otherwise it's a great place to stay for a small party. We followed the checkout instructions that were left behind also.

  Comments: A cute little place and the host was very responsive. We had a problem with the bathroom sink and shower. It was taken care of right away. The host was very accommodating in every way. Be aware that being a basement apartment, the ceilings are low. The property description states this so it was no surprise to us but even though I approved this property with the rest of the guests, the male guests were surprised when they got there. The host lives upstairs and has children who start doing "children stuff" at about AM. We get up early but if you are a late sleeper, you might consider a different unit. Just something to keep in mind. The subway is a little further away than we expected and the lines running to Manhattan from there require changes. We didn't use public transportation due to this, even though we had planned to. You can always get an Uber.

We’ve just had a wonderful 2 weeks in New York staying at this terrific apartment. It’s situated in a lovely area in Brooklyn, well appointed, spotlessly clean and with bus stops, subway, shops and supermarket virtually on the doorstep, we couldn’t have picked anywhere better. From our initial enquiry to the day we left, communication from the hosts was superb. They live upstairs, Aron even popped down and introduced himself when we arrived. We mentioned one morning that we were going to Coney Island for the day, and within 5 minutes, Molly had popped in with a bag full of beach towels - you wouldn’t get that at The Plaza! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood when coming back from the dazzling and vibrant city of New York. We had an issue with the bathroom during our stay but Aron was very reactive and even if he was abroad for the weekend helped us fix it as quickly as possible. Thanks again for your reactivity! Aron was a great host, very reactive and flexible, which made our journey to New York and Boston so much easier. You will need 30mins to 1h of subway to arrive to all important places in New York and the subway is just around the corner (great after long days of walking in New York)

  Comments: My family of 6 stayed at Aron's place for my mother's birthday weekend and their apartment was amazing!! It was much more comfortable and homey than we expected and had an abundance of fans, which were extremely useful. There were also many towels, bedding and other amenities available and were offered more if we ever needed them, although we never even got close to running out of anything. I highly recommend staying at Aron's place, especially if you have children as there is a park right next door where the kids can play basketball too! Golden Tip: The subway is a quick 4-min walk around the corner, which is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator access, which was needed for my mother and a stroller for kids.

Kensington neighbourhood was fabulous and we used Church St subway daily - we always looked forward to the appearance of the Manhattan skyline as we passed through Smith Avenue. The apartment amenities were excellent. The mattresses and bedding were super comfortable and the shower perfect. This was a great place to come back to after long days sightseeing and shopping. Foodtown supermarket being located next to the subway was a godsend. Highly recommend this apartment.

  Comments: I highly recommend staying at Aaron’s place. His super host certification is well earned. There were many creature comforts in the apartment that made it feel like a true home away from home. The proximity to the subway, supermarket, and corner markets where we can grab a bagel, coffee or egg sandwich on the go were fantastic. We didn’t make use of the nearby playground but only because it was too cold. This was our first foray into staying at an Airbnb and I’m sure future stays at different ones in other cities will pale in comparison. When we return to Brooklyn, Aron’s place will be our top pick.

  Comments: Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Die Wohnung war schön groß und super ausgestattet,man hatte wirklich alles was man braucht und noch mehr. Gerade für Kinder war eine tolle Ausstattung vorhanden. Die Subway war schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen und auch der nächste Supermarkt war gleich um die Ecke. Um nach Manhattan rein zu kommen war man ca. eine halbe Stunde mit der Subway unterwegs,also völlig in Ordnung. Aron war super hilfsbereit und schnell zur Stelle. Auch seine Bar The Brooklyneer können wir sehr für einen Drink oder leckeren Snack empfehlen. Alles in allem wirklich super.

The location is great because you can go to almost every place in NY within 30min-1h thanks to the F train which is 300m closed to the house.   Comments: Excelente!!! Es un muy buen lugar para alojarse, hay de todo en el departamento. Si vas en invierno hay buena calefacción. Llegamos tarde y teníamos comida para prepararnos y todos los utensillos que se necesitan para cocinar, muy buena calidad de los platos, vasos y cubiertos. Incluso jabón para el lavarropas y lavavajillas. Muy buenas sábanas y acolchados. La ducha excelente después de un día de mucho caminar. El subte se encuentra a una cuadra y te lleva donde quieras haciendo transbordo en algunas ocasiones. Solo mencionar lo de la altura del techo, pero es explicado muy bien en el detalle de la descripción. Sin lugar a dudas es un lugar súper recomendable, los anfitriones siempre comunicados cuando se le requiere, muy amables y atentos. Molly y Aron, muchas gracias por recibirnos en su casa!!!

  Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Aron's place. The place is really cute with a great location just a couple blocks from the subway. Parking was also not bad and despite coming in late at night, we were able to find parking within a couple blocks for our minivan. Aron was a great host with prompt and helpful communication. He was really thoughtful and offered a white noise machine for our little kids. There were a nice selection of toys and games available as well as some movies. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics. The comments about the height of the ceiling as well as there sometimes being noise from above are true although the noise started at maybe 8:30 or so when we were already up. The ceiling didn't bother my husband or me (5'9" and 5'11") but agreed that you should think about whether it'll bother you before booking! We hope to come back another time when the weather is nicer and we can explore Prospect Park and other Brooklyn destinations!
