  Comments: - the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Beautiful park is within 5 minute walk. - the subway is very close, so it is easy to get around the city - Katya was really good giving me directions and recommendations about the city - the apartment is war, cozy and has a lot of light.

She even let me stay with my dog and she played with him walk him out sometimes she is the best I just good things to say about her ;) The apt is literally two blocks from prospect park the market is right in the corner.   Comments: We spent 8 nights in July at Katya's place. The room was bigger than it looks on the pictures and definitely big enough for two people. The bed was comfortable. Overall the room was really clean, AC was working great which was a blessing with the humid heat of NYC. Everything you would need like a table or clothing rack was included. The bathroom was also absolutely satisfying. We were also allowed to use the kitchen as long as we cleaned up after ourselves which turned out to be super convenient. Katya was a lovely host. She helped us whenever she could and gave us tips on what to do and how to get around the city. We had our privacy but when we needed her she was there. The whole atmosphere was comfortable and safe. We also got two pairs of keys which can be quiet useful depending on what you're planning to do if you travel as a pair. The apartment is a 3 minute walk to the next subway station from where you can get around the city quite easily. A supermarket and a drug store are also really close. The park next to the subway was lovely and a good possibility for a chilled evening. A movie theatre is one subway stop away. We enjoyed our stay, coming back to the apartment felt like coming home (the most home you'll get in a foreign country) and we would definitely stay there again. Kathinka & Lilja from Hamburg

  Comments: Katya did a great job of making me feel welcome, helping me find the place and always making me feel like I could ask her about anything. Her place was well situated, had all the amenities mentioned and was the perfect place for easy access and close to lots of places and things to see and do. Great price, too!

  Comments: Katya is a great host, very welcoming, ready to answer any questions and providing directions for local places and events throughout the city. Room is small and simple, cozy and, in my opinion, fulfilling it's task as a place to stay for a tourists. Subway really just 5 minustes by walk, plenty of nearby shops, providing everything you might need. Some coffee shops, bars and restaurants too. Neighbourhood is ok. Spent almost two weeks there and definitely looking up to book there again! Added bonus for any Russian-speeking tourists: Katya speeks Russian perfectly, so even if your English is limited, you will have no problems communicating with her.

  Comments: we spent a great time at Katia´s. She was so nice and welcoming. also, the room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. The room has AC, what was very important, as we went in summer. You only need to connect the AC a while, and the room get cool in a moment, so you can turn it of to sleep. The neighborhood is very safe, and it takes you around 30 min to get to Times Square for example. We recommend this place if you want to visit NY and save money!

  Comments: Katya reached out to me in advance, so I had no problems to get into the apartment when I was arriving even though she wasn't there. The apartment is nice, clean and the room is very spacious. The Caribbean neighbourhood has a special flair, which I liked a lot. The next metro station is just down the street, so you can be in Manhattan in 15 minutes. There are a lot of restaurants, cafés as well as a supermarket in 5 minutes walking distance. The only downside of the room is, that it is quite noisy at night/ in the morning because it is very close to the street. Katya was taking of everything very well and I felt welcome at anytime. If you're looking for a 'real New York' experience for your stay, I highly recommend staying with Katya!

She offered a little listing of places to eat, taxi companies and some local things to check out. She was really chill about us coming in and out, even if it was at a little bit of strange hours. Also, her apartment is in a cute little neighborhood and a blink away from the metro station. Overall, it was a really good experience.

  Comments: I just got back from my first trip to New York City and my stay at Katya's apartment. She was fantastic! Very very friendly and accommodating! Was always offering me advice and help. I was nervous because it was my first time to the city and I didn't know anyone. However the proximity to the subway was perfect! Literally one block away on a straight street. Manhattan was very close. Honestly it felt that as soon as I got on I got back off. The line is the local Brooklyn Q which takes you directly into Manhattan and all the touristy spots too. The room was clean and cozy and bigger than the pictures. Kitchen was always available even though I didn't use it. The apartment is on the first floor so you have to be okay with the noise from outside. I don't have a problem with it so it was great for me. I recommend staying with Katya! She is super nice and the apartment is in a good location. Thanks Katya for all your help!

  Comments: I would recommend Katya's flat while if you're planning on spending some time in NYC. Very well located in Brooklyn , and very close to Manhattan thanks to the many subway lines. The flat was clean, so was our bedroom and we had everything we needed for our stay.   Comments: First off, even prior to arrival Katya was wonderful communicating directions on how to locate the apartment. This was most appreciated! Katya's place was in a lovely neighbourhood, which made my first NYC experience most enjoyable. The room is larger than it looks in pictures, clean and comfortable. Katya is very kind and approachable, and provided me with a list of nearby restaurants, coffee shops and taxi services. The close proximity to the subway makes it very easy to get to the main tourist attractions, and to other Brooklyn neghbourhoods. I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this accommodation to other travelers!

  Comments: My boyfriend and I travelled in NY and we stayed at Katya's apartment for a week. We had such a good time.. Exactly what we expected ! Katya is a really good host. She's very friendly and respectful. We enjoyed talking with her even if we didn't have enough time because of her schedule and our outings. I'd definitely recommend Katya's appartement. Easy to find and the location is just perfect. One block away from the subway station, 10-15min to Brooklyn bridge, 15-20 min to Manhattan, 25-30min to Times Square. You can even enjoy the beach in downtown Brooklyn which is called Coney Island. Only 20min... So many places to go in a few minutes ! As described, the Caribbean style neighborhood is nice as well. A vibrant area you can enjoy with plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and shops. The appartement is nice, cozy and clean. Just what we wanted. The room has enough space to put our stuff, fortunately there's an AC (by the time we were here, it was so hot in NY !). Nice bathroom and kitchen. But no microwave. However you can use the hot plate or just grab some food outside ! To conclud, a very nice stay ! Thank you Katya :)

  Comments: The room is spacious, cosy and clean. There are many good eatries in the neighbourhood and it's only a 2-3 min walk to the metro, which makes travelling to Manhattan convenient. Would definitely recommend staying with Katya if you're ever in New York! :)

  Comments: Da Katya auf Reisen war, hat uns ihre Freundin empfangen, die in dieser Zeit auch in Katyas Zimmer wohnte. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt, Handtücher, Bettwäsche, ein Wasserfilter in der Küche, Klimaanlage funktionierte wunderbar. Die Lage ist wirklich nah an der Metro und man kommt ohne Umsteigen gut nach Manhattan. Wir bekamen eine Liste mit allen Infos über das Haus und den umliegenden Einkaufs- und Essenmöglichkeiten, von denen besonders Blessings Coffee ein niedliches Café mit gutem Kaffee war. Bei Problemen bekamen wir sofort Hilfe, sie lieh uns einen Steckdosen-Adapter. Hervorragende Erfahrung, schönes Plätzchen, empfehlen wir weiter!

You are really close from several subway stations and you have different options to go to Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn or even Coney Island, and really close to Prospect Park which is a nice one for walks, and in the heart of a very interesting Caribbean neighborhood ! Katya's room is exactly as described, you have space to put your luggage and the bathrooms and kitchen are convenient. Plus Katya's hospitality is really to mention, we had some issues before I arrived but she always tried to help me the best she could, which I really appreciated knowing nobody here in the USA.

  Comments: It was my first experience on Airbnb. Katya is a great host and very friendly. The unit is in a great location which is close to all major shops and especially the public transport including bus and train station. The room was clean and spacious which can easily accommodate 2 persons. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly too. Good place for a sound sleep with ease of access to various things outside. I wish Katya good luck and hope that i will stay here again in my next visit.

Sie ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat uns bei Fragen schnell geholfen. Zur nächstgelegenen Bahnhaltestelle war es ein Fußweg von 5 min. Innerhalb von 20 min erreicht die Bahn den Times Square.   Comments: Katya has a beautiful place, ideally located close to Prospect Park and the Q train which - surprisingly for a subway - was quite often on-time when I used it. Katya was a great host, very friendly and easily reachable via message. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, very clean and easy to find. The room had everything I needed: space (larger than expected from the pictures), a comfortable bed; and a really large couch table with enough space to easily store all the small items (laptop, camera, phone, books, a lot of chargers and cables for all those...) I carry around.
