Summary:
Space: There is a private room in my 2 bedroom apartment. The bedroom consists of a double bed, desk with lamp and large closet. I will provide you with sheets, towels and bath mats. We share the kitchen, Living or TV room & Bathroom. The kitchen is large and great for cooking with everything you would need for cooking. Pots, pans, baking dishes etc. Help yourself to coffee and spices. The bathroom is small but clean and everything is new. I just had it redone so the shower, sink, toilet & floors are all new. The living room has a TV and couch and is a relaxing place to hang out. There is free wifi (bring your own computer) and there is free TV/Cable with HBO and Showtime channels. The closest subway is the F Train - East Broadway Stop. The F train is great transportation to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Union Square & Soho. There are nice restaurants, Galleries and shops a few minutes from my place. My neighborhood feels like Chinatown but is technica

Comments: Kristine was an excellent host and her apartment is gorgeous! It's huge - lots of space in the living room and kitchen - and located in walking distance to anything you might need. Kristine was great - offering help when needed, but letting me do my own thing. I would definitely come back and stay at her place again!

Comments: Staying with Kristine was a very enjoyable experience. My husband and I stayed with her for 7 days and she was helpful and welcoming. She really allows you to feel at home. The room is quite nice - comfortable bed and a large closet (which allows those who are staying more than a night or two to unpack). The apartment is in a terrific location - you can walk to many great places, and the subway station is just a few short blocks away. Thank you for having us! We definitely recommend this place to others.

Comments: Me and my friend stayed at Kristines place one week and can`t complain at all! Kristine was very nice and helpful host and and the apartment was clean and cozy. And there was good air-condition too which was great! Location is good, close to subway and two bridges and there is many good restaurants in Chinatown. We absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

Comments: We had a wonderful escape of our daily grind, especially due to our charming, helpful, open-minded and uncomplicated host, Kristine, who let us use her guest-room and her appartment in the middle of China town. We hope to visit her place and New York soon again. We definitely recommend Kristine's home to everyone else!

Comments: My stay with Kristine was very good, even we all had to face the aftermath of hurricane Sandy who passed over NYC two days before. Kristines place is hughe and if you want to stay in a lively area but want to be in town, I recommend her apartment. And great, big shower!

Comments: When we arrived at the apartment, we had to go to pick up the keys to the corner store. The host did not explain anything about the apartment, only where our bedroom was, but not where the bathroom was. In the next morning we found some towels in the living room. The building is very old, the stairs creak but the apartment is fine. The subway is near and well located.

Comments: Kristine was a great host!! The apartment was great, had a really good feel and was huge, but cosy! Great location next to bridges, 3 min walk to the subway and easy walking distance to SOHO for the shopping. The massive wardrobe was great for 2 girls visiting NYC for 5 days with 2 massive suitcases. Would definitely recommend to others.

Comments: Kristine is a very nice host, we had our personal keys and we were free to get in and out the apartment at whatever time we liked. She kindly gave us the privacy we hoped to have. She was always in touch with us also by phone, also when we left the room in a hurry the last day and she was not at home. The room and the bathroom are very clean, the shower is huge and comfortable. The subway is 5 minutes walk away. The building is old, with entrance and wooden stairs in pretty bad condition, but the apartment is cozy inside. We enjoyed our great stay and definitely recommend Kristine!

Comments: Kristine was a fantastic host! Her place was clean, comfortable and close to public transit. She ensured that we had everything we needed, including umbrellas on the few days that it rained. Her apartment is a beautiful New York apartment with loads of character, and she isn't lying about the stairs-- but it's good exercise after eating your heart out in the city! If you are looking to explore the city, this is the place to do it from as it's close to many surrounding neighbourhoods, which are only a subway or bus ride away.

Comments: My friend and I had a great stay with Kristine. She was super friendly and the place was clean and nice. I would recommend staying with her if you're looking for a conveniently located place to stay and the neighborhood felt safe walking through at night. She also was kind enough to provide us with umbrellas and taxi numbers. If you're looking for variety and location this would a great place for you, you have little Italy, soho, the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges and the subway within walking distance.

Comments: Krsitine was very kind and helpful, I could definitely feel easy and comfortable for the whole time I stayed in her apartment. Overall, the apartment is very nice and rather clean, just like you can see from the pictures. Also it is very silent, you can't hear any noise from outside. The kitchen is spacious and you can find all you need if you want to have breakfast or cook for dinner. The living room is very nice, you can watch TV and use the AC. The bedroom is quite comfortable, even if without a window it has powerful and silent fan that helps cooling the air. The building is kind of crumbling and would probably need some renovation, and the nearby area (chinatown) is rather dirty and smelly. However, in 10/15 minutes by walk you can get to the financial district, seaport or soho and this is a great plus. Overall, I am satisfied.

Comments: Awesome!!! Such a nice apartment, we figured out Kristine is a stylist which is abundantly evident from her beautiful apartment. Great location, very clean, easy access to everything. We had the best time in NYC and staying at Kristine's was definitely a big part of that . Very highly recommended...

Comments: Loved the apt. It was clean, silent and nicely furnitured. Basically only spend my time sleeping overthere but the host is sweet and offered me some leftovers for dinner and eggs 'n bacon to fight my hangover. MTR, nightlife and running tracks are like 10 min walk away.

Comments: We had a very good time in Kristina's place! We really feel in NYC in her flat and as if we were at home. The room hasn't any window but this is not a problem and we felt very comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. As already said, the building could be refreshed but this is not really a problem. Kristina is very nice and we had a great contact with her. We would come back with a great pleasure and without any hesitation.

Comments: Kristine was very professional and reliable. She responded very fast to all messages and was upfront about everything, no surprises. We never actually met because she left town for labor day weekend, but never the less we were able to stay at her place no problem. The apartment was clean and organized, but needed some general maintenance. However the building was very old and some what dingy, with no elevator. She was very kind to leave the A/C on for us until we got there, but the apartment was way hotter then I expected. Maybe this is just me as I am used to much cooler temperatures and it being very hot in NYC that weekend. The neighborhood is good during the day with lots of people out and about. It is very close to the Brooklyn bridge and little Italy which was convenient. However, this part of the lower east side / china town was not a smart place to be walking around late at night. Not the safest place after 12:00 / 1:00 am if your coming home late at night. Be sure to take a cab right to the front door instead of walking from either of the two closest metro/subway stops if it is late at night. Me and my girlfriend sensed it the one night we walked, as well as we were told the same thing by many NYC locals we met during our visit. All in all good weekend place to stay and a fair price for those on a budget.

Comments: Kristine's place is very stylish and clean. It is very close to the subway, so you don't have to worry about the transportation. She's very helpful and even let me extend my checkout time. We also went out to see the World Cup finals. Also, she provided me with coffee, yoghurt and some on-the-go snacks.

Comments: Kristine's place is great! Getting affordable, decent accommodation in NYC is challenging and this fulfills that. The apartment has everything you need: comfy bed, loads of storage, good shower, coffee/tea facilities, TV, etc. The air-conditioning was a life-saver in the heat. Kristine is a very welcoming host and easy to communicate with. Recommended!

Comments: The apartment is in a very old building which has not been renovated for a long time - still the apartment is very nice and super clean. Neighborhood is not very clean and not really inviting - not very nice to walk through in the nighttime - but we were assured that it is safe. Kristine is very accommodating.
