Comments: Casa de Vilela is a real gem - a perfect get-away for large groups or families. The pictures on the web do not do it sufficient justice: the reality is even better than the photos. A huge house, very nicely restored, that could easily fit 20 people (we were 11 and all had seperate bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms). The house is perfectly located, although slightly isolated, so on one hand you have to go everywhere by car, but the peace and quiet is perfect. Definately recommended!

Comments: We recently stayed at Casa de Vilela for a hen party - with 15 people in the group. The Villa is impressive, not only in size but in its traditional decoration, facilities and price. Each pair had a room with en-suite, as well as fantastic views of the local town. The pool was an amazing addition, which we utilised during the day to enjoy the beautiful weather and the kitchen was huge; the perfect space to cater for 15 people. The neighbour was also very kind, providing us with a lift to the local supermarket and giving us home-made wine, home-grown crops and friendly assistance to put us at ease throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend the Villa again. If anything, it was a little further out of the way from Porto town as we expected (About 1 hour train ride), but the train took us direct after a 25 minute walk to the nearby train station first. We had a very enjoyable stay and we are all very sad to leave. Thank You Clara and your helpful staff. Faye

Comments: Absolutely amazing place, highly recommended! The house is huge (privacy guaranteed even with a big group) and beautiful with country style old-fashioned decoration. However, kitchen and bathrooms are modern (note that each bedroom has own toilet and shower). Pool is really nice with plenty of sun beds. There's a supermarket and a restaurant close to the house. Helpful janitor Mr. Casimiro! Well-kept garden.

Comments: The villa was absolutely fabulous, a wonderfully place in a wonderful part of Portugal. We felt transported to another time, yet enjoyed all the modern conveniences of en-suite bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, TV, wifi, swimming pool, etc. The grounds are spectacular, full of fruit trees and a mountain path for walking. Casimir the caretaker was extremely welcoming and responsive to our needs, though we had want for little as the home was well equipped with dishes, towels, linens, etc. We were also so impressed with how immaculately clean the house and grounds were - no small feat for sure as the space seems endless! We enjoyed the lovely views and privacy, and appreciated the small bakery and restaurant within walking distance, Our expectations were exceeded in every way, and we hope to visit again soon!

Comments: This was by far the best AirBnb experience I have ever had. I rented Casa Vileta for 4 days for my 30th birthday and 12 friends joined me for the weekend. We had an absolutely amazing time. Clara was extremely responsive and her local manager of the property gave us a wonderful welcome and checked on us throughout our visit to make sure we were okay. The house and surrounding property are MASSIVE and absolutely STUNNING. The property is extremely well-located - rural enough to feel like you've gotten away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and central enough to be walking distance to a train station, bakery and grocery stores. There is a large Lidl about 10 minutes' drive away from the house. Most of the group shared rental cars to reach the property (35 minute drive from Porto) although some people travelled by taxi/ uber from Porto. Two people travelled back by train and walked from the property to the station without issue. The house is extremely well equipped. We cooked large meals for the group throughout the weekend without issue (there are multiple ovens and stoves, as well as a BBQ). The pool is perfect, as is the lounging area around it. There are fruit and chestnut trees on the property, and we picked fresh lemons for one of our dinners. There is a hiking trail on the property so you can climb up the mountain behind it. You get stunning views of the area as you climb. I have nothing negative to say about this AirBnb experience. It was absolutely perfect in every way, shape and form. I had a wonderful birthday weekend at Casa Vileta. A MASSIVE thank you to Clara and her team. I will be recommending this property to friends and family.

Comments: Our extended family of 15 people spent a week at Casa de Vilela to celebrate the 80th birthday of the family matriarch. It is impossible to imagine a better venue for such an event or any gathering of 12-17 people with close ties who still need personal space from time to time.

Comments: Villa is amazing, perfect location if you want to spend time in rural without tourists, but it's only 30 minutes from Porto, so you can explore the city if you want. Villa in reality much more beautiful and impressive than on photos and I'm so grateful that Clara also provided a possibility to see villa in advance. Highly recommend to stay at least for week, because it's so wonderful. Clara's employee mr. Casimiro made us a compliment with some fresh vegetables and wine. Surely will come here again with my friends
