  Comments: This studio is in a spectacular location! Incredible beach just steps away, with breathtaking sunsets every night + + outstanding views of the Pipeline breaks. The studio was comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed during my stay. Craig was a great host, and always very helpful if needed (ie; when the coffee maker broke, he promptly had a new one for me , same with a can opener). Just outside your door you have a putting green, and one of the best manicured lawns you can imagine…….great for walking barefoot to the beach. Falling asleep at night (very comfortable murphy bed) to the sound of the ocean was incredible. Perfect for the traveler who wants to experience the true North Shore. Thanks Craig for a great week!!!

  Comments: Staying right on the North shore was my favorite part of our Hawaii trip. You seriously can NOT beat this location!!! Just steps from the ocean. No busy roads or sidewalks to cross. The listing was very accurate. There were no surprises. The place is small, which I knew, but was clean and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed three nights there. I loved falling asleep to the waves. Craig responded to all my questions quickly and was very helpful. Mahalo!!!

  Comments: TL;DR : Single ? Need a place to just sleep the night over ? Absolutely need to be in front of Banzai Pipeline - this place is a good deal ! Longer version : I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to walk down to the beach and hit the Banzai pipeline on a surfboard - specially if you are a single person. Craig is a great host and offered us enough privacy. The lawn outside is pretty and offers great view of the beach. Very close to grocery stores and only miles from Shark Cove, Haleiwa etc. Having said that, I wouldn't recommend this place for couples. They have basically converted the 3rd part of a 3 car garage space to make this studio which seemed less than 200 sq ft. and the toilet is inside the studio with no separate door. Me and my wife had to take turns to hang outside anytime either of us needed to use the toilet. Also, this studio could use a better cooktop (even frying eggs took ages on the small portable heater).

Actually the most important is the location! Ocean front, 2 people table in the yard, available grill to use, near supermarket and other stores... outstanding! The good be better things: shower is outside the room/house, there is only a curtain between toilette and the room (no door).

The outdoor shower was lovely and gave the whole experience an authentic North Shore feel. We even had a pair of endangered monk seals park themselves right in front of the house on the beach for our entire stay! So cool! Will definitely return and recommend to friends!

Waking up every morning to walk out onto the beautiful beach and watch pipeline from the front steps and then watching the sunsets from the same spot is a massive treat! Was spoilt with this location on the north shore (as long as you have a car). Such a chilled out location, would recommend to anyone wanting some time away from the hustle and bustle and planning to spend most of their time outside ! Cosy self contained unit and has everything available for cooking meals. Great property !

  Comments: The host left coconut water in the fridge and candies on the counter, along with a guide to the house. He greeted us at the door - and, showed us around the room. Really accommodating and responsive. The property description was accurate - but, it's tough to convey how beautiful to beach looks. Like a private beach with surfers riding the waves, groomed lawn, grill and kitchen. I expected the murphy bed, toilet separated by a curtain, and outdoor shower - but, these good things to note to set expectations. Upscale neighborhood. Great parking.

  Comments: Craig was a great host and we have a wonderful stay. The room was the best for our Hawaii trip. Craig left some coconut water and an organic drink in the fridge and when we arrived he was extending a welcome to us. Once our flight had been delayed he help us uncomplicated. Furthermore Craig and his family informed us quickly when a seal was sleeping on the beach. We had our own private area and could use Craig's washer and dryer. If you would plan an experience trip zu Hawaii it's really nice place for sleep. If we wake up it was a short step to the beautiful beach and every time you could have a awesome view during the breakfast and you could see the sunset in the evening. You should know that's the room is a little bit smaller that it seems on the fotos. It was really warm in the room and the AC was to loud for us. If you would sleep with open window you could hear the Highway. The hot outdoor shower is really nice and cozy. The neighbors from the vacation house on the right could see you from the balcony. For us that facts didn't matter, we only need a bed after sunset and we enjoyed the awesome view and the greatful and helpful host family. Thank you, Craig!

  Comments: The Pipeline studio was just what I was looking for, and more. The location is unbeatable, right on the beach amongst all the surf houses gives it a great vibe. The sunsets are sensational. If you know anything about the surf world, you will appreciate and respect this area and wish you could never leave. Some say it is small, yes but it is as described and in the pics too, and if you're lucky enough to stay here you should be outside enjoying the north shore from sunrise to sunset anyway. Mahalo.

  Comments: Craig was always available to help or answer any questions about the area. The location is as good as it gets, especially for a surfer. The backyard is on the beach in front of Off the Wall and has a perfect view of Pipe and Backdoor. Craig gives you plenty of privacy and you have the use of a large portion of the year and use of the grill. The out door shower was great plenty of hot water. This location made my trip one of the beast ever. There's no way any other location would have been anywhere as good. The kitchen is small but has everything needed. The bed is very comfortable. It's great. I hope to return again!

  Comments: Craig was a kind host, he had two bottles of coconut water in the fridge when we arrived. He also let us use his bikes to ride around the area which was great. Would recommend biking up to Ted's Bakery- great little local spot. The description of the studio is accurate, it is a small studio with a drop-down bed and small kitchen that was completely private to ourselves. The shower outside was a fun experience as well. It is on a beautiful beach where you can walk right down to the water on a stone path. Would recommend having a car but can also take a bus to the town. Haleiwa had a decent amount of restaurants to choose from. Overall a great experience! Peaceful getaway on the northshore!

Safe, clean and loved the outside shower- taking in the night stars while listening to the sound of the ocean. We caught the Eddie while we were staying here which was incredible! Right on the bike path so no need to drive anywhere while staying here. Cooked up steaks on the grill and caught a few majestic sunsets. We will be back! Thanks again Craig!

  Comments: Such an amazing little studio right off the water. Prior to booking and arriving I read the reviews so I knew that it was going to be a small space but honestly who needs a mansion when you're in Hawaii (you should be out and about exploring). It was the perfect amount of space to sleep and wind down after a long day of adventures. I got to meet Craig and ran into him only a few times in passing but he is very respectful of your space and is there when you have questions. There's a mini fridge in the studio along with a hot plate, microwave and just about everything you need. I wouldn't suggest sharing the space with someone you're not "super comfortable" with as there's only a curtain separating the toilet inside the studio so you can hear if someone is taking care of business, haha. The outdoor shower was so relaxing with plenty of hot water. Can't wait to come back & book this little gem again! Mahalo Craig for a wonderful stay! :)

  Comments: My partner Peter and I enjoyed a lovely stay at Craig's place. He was there to meet us and give us the low down on the apartment but we had a lot of privacy with the separate side access. It is right on beautiful pipeline beach, the sunsets are gorgeous! It is also really close to excellent snorkelling spots and a group of great food trucks to eat at. It is a small room but has everything you need. You also really need a car to get around. Thanks Craig for a great stay!

This is truly all we could ever ask for; my sister and I stayed here for what we wish was the rest of our lives. We were completely blown away with the natural beauty just steps outside the door. You really can't beat the location with this one. Showering in the outdoor shower and looking left to the Pacific felt like a dream come true! Craig was helpful, communicative, and kind. I can't think of anything constructive to say, this was truly the best airbnb I've ever stayed at. If you're an outdoorsy person with an adventurous heart I highly recommend this location. North Shore food carts, off-shore snorkeling, and beautiful white sandy beaches are at your fingertips! If I ever come back to the North Shore I would only do so if I could enjoy this luxury location once again. Craig and his family were extremely personable and friendly.   Comments: Location is amazing with the beach literally on your doorstep! If you are planning on an outdoor getaway this is an ideal place. Host is friendly and willing to help in any way possible. However if you are after a good nights sleep and a spacious room, this small and compact room with a fold out bed may not be for you. Also keep in mind that the toilet is right next to the bed and does not have a door so maybe do your business elsewhere. Overall, perfect for us as we spent all hours of the day outdoors, and only used it as a place of rest. If you're looking for luxury keep looking.

  Comments: We spend one week In this WONDERFULL place ! We had to work every morning but enjoyed everything around in the afternoon. Wifi works well. Craig and Francis are very nice. The garden is lovely and the beach in front is like a private beach always empty and very enjoyable. The space has everything to live in. Small but super convenient. The shower is AMAZING. It is the perfect size for two people, it's just steps from the beach, and is totally out of the tourist-y environment of the southern part of the island. The available washer and dryer was a great amenity, and the outdoor shower was absolutely one of the best parts of the whole stay. We could not be happier, nor recommend it more highly.

  Comments: This place is all about location. As long as you plan on being outside most of the time, you will love this place. If you are expecting to spend any time inside the guest quarters except to sleep and get ready in the morning, look elsewhere. That being said, you are going to be in Hawaii, where the purpose of your visit should be about being outside. When we were there, the first winter swell of the year came and we were able to sit outside with the table and chairs and eat papaya and watch pipeline go off. So, for the money spent, we we very happy with our accommodations.

If you want a hotel room with all the comforts this is not going to be that. But if you want a place to sleep and be on the beach this is it.

  Comments: If you are looking for an efficient, clean and affordable launching pad for your North Shore adventure, this is it. This isn't the type of room for those who want to lounge around all day. But if you want a well priced room on one of the great beaches on Oahu then this is your spot. The house is ocean front (the beach is twenty steps out your door) and is with in walking distance of Sharks Cove and the Foodland grocery store. It is less than 20 minutes from historic Haleiwa and the Turtle Bay Resort. If you're an adventurer and want to explore the North Shore, I don't think you'll find a better deal!

  Comments: This studio is wonderful and exactly as Craig describes with an unbeatable pipeline location. The place is compact with a pleasantly surprising amount of amenities, including a fully functional kitchen with access to a large fridge and freezer, beach chairs, and two bicycles that you can take on the bike trail right outside the studio to food land, food trucks, etc. So happy we found this place and will definitely stay again in the future.   Comments: A simple little priceless gem, it doesn't get any better ! Craig and Francie were so hospitable and incredibly helpful . The Room was perfect and we loved looking out over the beach whilst having a shower . The local information and small touches of little welcome treats were fabulous . The place was very clean with excellent instructions on how everything worked . Such a special place where magical memories can be made . We have already booked again!!!

  Comments: Location is as good as it gets!!! Pipeline is literally on your doorstep, which is amazing,sadly that is the only positive. The space is a lot smaller than photos make out, the wifi was unreliable and the host who lives on the premises was unapproachable. If location is what you are after this place on the North Shore is for you!

If you’re looking for a place to simply rest your head at the end of the night, this is the spot! If you’re someone who plans on spending most of their time outside enjoying the surroundings, this is your place! The studio is small, but has everything you need to have a fun and enjoyable time on the North Shore. Myself and a buddy stayed here for 6 days during Volcom Pipe Pro, and we had a blast!

  Comments: Anyone who surfs, this is the best location you could ask for. Check pipe/backdoor/offthewall just footsteps away. Riding the free bikes down to food trucks, or snorkelling at Sharks cove is a must. Using the provided bbq, cooking some steaks while watching pipeline is amazing. Definitly will come back. So easy to get to food trucks & to drive in town. Enjoyed the nice touches like the fancy standing fan (there was air conditioning but we didn’t need it) & the scented candle in the bathroom.   Comments: Die Lage der Unterkunft ist genial, direkt am Strand! Die Unterkunft selbst ist ein Nebenraum in der Garage. Dunkel und kaum zu lüften. Es gibt ein Gerät für Aircondition, welches jedoch sehr laut ist und daher nachts nicht in frage kommt. Wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist, dann ist es ok. Für Reisende mit Kind so wie mich war die Unterkunft suboptimal. Und die Sauberkeit der Küchenzeile ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Aber vielleicht ist das auch meinem deutschen Naturell geschuldet.... Wir haben uns nach drei Tagen zum Wechsel in ein anderes Quartier entschlossen, da uns schlafen durch die klimatischen Bedingungen kaum möglich war. Schade.

This should be on anyone’s ‘to-do list’ for staying in Oahu because you get the full experience of beach, hikes, and local food all close by. I can’t wait to go back!

  Comments: The little studio was everything we expected from the listing. Perfect location for us to explore the north shore. The room had everything we needed and we used the BBQ outside a few times to cook our dinner. Craig let us have use of the bikes too so it was so handy to just cycle along to the beaches, food trucks or sharks cove for a snorkel. Will miss the outside shower :)

  Comments: This place is amazing! It is literally right on the beach and the street is very peaceful and quiet. Craig is a great host and showed us around when we arrived. There were beach chairs, snorkel gear, and bikes we were able to use! The Murphy bed is very comfortable :) the outdoor shower is fun! The location really cannot be beat. Just a few stairs and you’re on one of the most amazing beaches on Oahu!

Close to everything on North Shore but not in a congested area. Bike path access too. The listing is honest up front about the unique aspects of the studio; if it sounds like what you want, it’s a great spot for a great value.

We could hear the waves crashing from our room. My husband loved being able to wake up and walk outside and check out the waves! Hospitality was above and beyond. There were bikes, snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels...everything that you would need was available.we highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back! Mahalo

  Comments: Craig’s pipe studio was a fully equipped studio right on the beach at Pipeline with a hot private outdoor shower, internet, cable TV, bathroom, kitchenette with coffeemaker and toaster oven, mini fridge, hot plate, comfortable bed, futon, and dining areas indoor and outdoor overlooking the ocean. It was affordable and included beachcruisers, beach chairs, beach towels, snorkels, and a cooler bag as well as access to washer/dryer and large fridge. Craig gave us local tips for the area and was accessible without being intrusive at all. We had a perfect stay: surfing, biking, hiking, eating fresh poke everyday, and found some great nightlife in Honolulu and at Turtle Bay. Will definitely stay here again if we return.

The studio itself has all your basic necessities and you can hear the ocean waves from inside. The outdoor shower can be a little chilly in the winter if it is raining or windy, but was overall a pleasant experience.

  Comments: The house is prime location on the north shore! The studio was perfect for my boyfriend and I. Craig was always quickly responding if we needed anything, and his wife made sure candles were readily available before the storm hit! They provided us with bikes which was super nice since there are so many places nearby to ride your bike to! Would deff. book this place again!
