  Comments: Faisal's apt is great. Very central. However it is on a very steep hill so be aware if you have mobility issue or a lot of luggage. Kitchen is a small but i did not need to cook. There are 3bdrms in this apt and they are often all rented out to different people. His cousin who was my local contact was hospitable and helped me with questionsw. This specific bedroom does not have view of the Bosphorous

  Comments: This was our firs Airbnb experience and for sure we will use Airbnb again. The room was as on he picture and clean, the apartment is located 5 min away from Taksim square and 5 min to tram line which goes to old town. Faisal was a great host, whatever we asked him, he helped us and recommend us good places to visit. Thanks again and maybe we visit you again in summer when there will be no snow :)

  Comments: Positive side: The apartment is in a very good location, but it has a steep hill back to the square (normal for Turkey). Very near taksim and the busy streets with shops and restaurants. Faisals cousin was very friendly and when we arrived he was waiting for us in taksim square and helped us with our luggage to the apartment. The apartment is quite big and our room was clean. Overall a good choice for a short stay and that price. Negative side: The building has a funny cat smell. The bathroom could be a bit cleaner but for the two nights it was ok. Sometimes at night you can hear some noise (airconditioning or something) from the outside, but it didn't bother us that much.

  Comments: Faisal's friend greated us very well with a delicious tipical lunch in a restaurant near Taxim, a central and well-served neighborhood in Istanbul. The room was nice but smaller than what we expected, and general house's cleanliness could be better. Faisal and his roommates are friendly and easygoing fellows! We were a bit disappointed with Faisal's cousin who helped us finding another room for our last night, asking us 25 € for a disgusting and dirty room, saying that "we paid for his service".

  Comments: It was my first time using airbnb and I was very skeptical. We arrived late and Faisals Cousin, who was handling the flat, was already waiting for us. The room looks exactly like in that picture, fresh towels included. There were keys to our room and we could go out and come back whenever we wanted. The host was very friendly, sympathetic and the place was clean and comfortable. I loved staying there and will definitely try to book this place again when visiting Taksim again. I can recommend this place and say Thank you for having us again.

  Comments: The rooms is very central and the apartment is reasonably clean. It is exactly as it looks like. I was welcomed by the host and a friend of his, who was my contact person for the following days. They were both friendly. Overall a nice experience, I recommend this room for people planning a short stay in Istanbul, especially if they want to be near Taksim. The only minor problem was that the light in the room was broken and they did not fix it during the week I was there. Also, the curtains are almost transparent, so the light woke me up early every morning (this may be only my problem, I admit).

  Comments: Faisal and Ghassan were fantastic hosts. Ghassan greeted us at check-in and assured we were always comfortable. He responded immediately to our texts when he was away and gave us great recommendations of places to go. Faisal arrived later on and we loved our short chats with him in the mornings. The location is perfect - easy, 5 minute walking distance to both Taxim and Findikli-MSU stations as well as the Bosphorus. The bed is comfortable and the room looks even better than it does in the pictures - there is a large window behind the curtain. Cozy and convenient, it was just right for us! A note to light sleepers: an entourage of pidgeons, mourning doves and other avian creatures will sound first thing in the morning because of proximity to the sea.

Taksim square and Istiklal street are a 5 minute walk away, and you can reach the tram that brings you to the other side of the Galata brigde in about 7 minutes. The room itself is clean and nice, and actually has a window with Bosphorus view :). It can become a bit warm and noisy during the night, but this wasn't too much of a problem imo. Overall, an excellent 'value for money' choice.

Комната полностью соответствует фото и описанию, все чисто, аккуратно, вайфай работал хорошо. Расположение посередине между Таксим и Кабаташ, что в принципе удобно. В комнате очень тихо ночью, улица спокойная. Мы остались полностью довольны!

  Comments: we didnt meet Faisal on our 4 night stay in istanbul but his friend was there waiting to greet us when we arrived. He gave us some good suggestions on the local spots around taksim as well as where the supermarkets, tram stops were etc. The apartment is in a great location, close to transport and the havatas airport transfer bus stop (about a 10min walk depending on your luggage). those who get the havatas transfer bus, when you get off you have to walk up alongside the park until you reach the top of the hill/taksim square, thats where you will find starbucks and the street you need to walk down. we would recommend this place if your looking for cheap accommodation in the centre of town!

  Comments: We stayed at this three bedroom apartment for five nights while in Istanbul. We never met Faisal but were welcomed by a friend who took care of us during our stay. He showed us where various things were on the map and gave us some good tips- places to eat and to suggested we spend a day out at princes island which we loved. He worked a fair amount so wasn't always home but we did manage to have some good chats and get to know him also. The place itself was clean with a comfortable bed and decent sized room and bathroom. We were able to make use of the washing machine and kitchen (small). It was also rented out to other airbnb guests which wasn't an issue for us. The location was PERFECT! Right near Taksim square and an easy walk down hill to Kabatas (you can get the metro back up to Taksim). Would stay again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Istanbul.

  Comments: The booking was prompt, but we had a minor difficulty with obtaining the keys from Faisal's friend who manages the apartment as there wasn't a clear communication to him about our arrival time. We managed to get the keys eventually with a 40 min delay, but in the end it worked out just fine. The apartment is excellent, close to Taksim square and we loved staying there.

  Comments: We didn't meet Faisal but had an enjoyable short stay in his apartment. We met Ghassen his friend living there who was friendly and welcoming. We arrived early in the morning from an overnight bus and were able to leave our things inside whilst the room was getting ready and we went exploring. We apartment was very clean, the room just like the pictures portray and it's in a great location close to Taksim square where the metro is and shuttle buses are. Worth a stay here when visiting Istanbul.

Faisal was unable to propose us (by mail) an other solution except to check under the couch to find clean ones and change them ourself. Cheap, central, but not clean. Faisal definitively doesn't live here, don't expect to meet him!

For example: From taksim square, once you see cajun restaurant/bar, turn left, then afterwards turn right, then go straight. The host just told us to go to taksim and look for the street of the house. It took us 1-2 hours before we found the house. - Though there was a fan in the room, it was still hot probably because of the summer weather.

  Comments: We spend one night at the apartment and everything was perfect. Fisals friend Ghassan was welcoming us very friendly and we enyed to talk with Ghassan even when has been in a rush. The atmosphere is really like beeing at home together with friends. The apartment is very calm and clean without any exception. Even if the way to Taxim is a little bit uphill the location is almost perfect. Right between Cihangir, Taxim, Istiklal and Kabataş. I can highly recommend this place! Thank you for the hospitality!

  Comments: Faisal nous a bien expliqué comment arriver chez lui depuis l'aéroport en bus (nous avons ainsi pu économiser le taxi, ce qui est non négligeable) mais malheureusement il n'était pas sur place durant notre séjour. C'est son ami Ghassan qui nous a accueilli et montré comment nous déplacer dans la ville. Il a été incroyablement disponible et amical (ainsi qu'un autre ami à eux qui vivait dans la chambre à côté) et le contact a donc été très facile. Nous avons passé de super soirées en leur compagnie, il nous ont même invité et fait à manger, nous avons fumé la shisha ensemble, et je recommande donc vivement ce logement à toute personne intéressée par un accueil chaleureux et de nouvelles connaissances. Le quartier est très calme et remplis de bonnes adresse où aller manger, littéralement à 5 min a pied de la place Taksim et du métro et la chambre est comme sur les photos.

  Comments: The listing was accurate in all the details (except for the view to the Bosphorus Canal, which we did not see). It is a nice room in an appartment with two other rooms for rent with which the bathroom is shared. The address is not public - I found it through some (Hidden by Airbnb) -fu - but once we got near the entrance to the flat, a short call to Faisal solved the "check-in" problem - he sent his brother to open for us and show us the room. The temperature of the hot water from the shower tap fluctuates continuously (from hyper-hot to mildly warm in 1 minute), so you must always turn the cold water knob higher or lower - however, at any moment there is a setting which makes the water tolerable. The bathroom had a full set of 10 toilet paper rolls so I did not panic that we were going to run out of it even though I used very little. The toilet itself flushes thoroughly and has a bidet included. My mother, who stayed with me, said that the room was sometimes too cold because of the window above and the heating which was irregularly on (we went in late November). I note that this did not bother me. Also, there is a large supply of blankets and towels available. The other inhabitants of the apartment did not bother us in the slightest (we had the key to our room).

  Comments: The location is perfect. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is small, but that's OK, because we ate out. My only complaint is with the communication. We arrived at Taksim around 6 PM, and we were unable to access the apartment until 7:30 PM. Faisal was not good at communicating the fact that his friend Ghassal would be giving us access to the apartment and that he works until 7:30 PM. Luckily, another guest in the apartment let us in, but obviously, we could not leave until Ghassal arrived around 8 PM to give us keys. I recommend coordinating with Faisal and Ghassal in advance to avoid this trouble. Otherwise, we were very satisfied. Excellent location.

  Comments: A very welcoming friend of Faisal showed us our room. It had everything as shown on the pictures. It was comfortable and clean and the WLAN was good. We were in general very surprised that the whole flat was very clean (we had worse experiences in Turkey). The location is really good, but they don't give you the exact address and they didn't give to us even when we asked by message, so to find it was not easy and I spent a lot of money talking at the phone to find the place. Linens were not cleaned, but the guy changed them immediately when we asked. In general a good place, located close to Taksim metro station and Taksim square which is really good for hanging out in the weekend, but the host should be more caring of coming guests.

  Comments: Good value and location for the money. Half way up a hill though so be prepared to walk to public transport. Nice host who was helpful. Getting keys was a bit of a challenge and was more difficult to coordinate than it could have been but otherwise all good.

  Comments: We stayed at Faisal's for 3 nights and it was such an excellent experience. You'll have about 5mins walk from Taksim Sq. There is quite an uphill on your way to the square thought. Although we were late for getting the keys, Ghassan arranged us in the apartment and gave us the keys after. He was so friendly, kind and gentle. There is one thing: smoking is not allowed in the room but Ghassan himself was smoking shisha (hookah) in the hall every night :))

Many options of restaurants and for those who like to go out at night can also find many options. Easy access to metro, bus and tramway. Unfortunately I couldn't stay more than a day because there was no ac as mentioned in info only a tiny desk fan that wasn't working but host is very nice and communicative. He was also helpful and fixed the fan for us late at night sacrificing his own rest time. Host was very nice when we shortened our stay by returning us the money with no confrontations at all.

  Comments: Apartment is located 5 minutes from Taksim. Internet is provided. Faisal's friend was very nice and explained everything to us. Super. Not everything was great though. At one moment there were six people in the apartment. That's a lot for one shower and a toilet (in the same room also). But that's not my biggest concern. There was NO air-conditioning in the room. We arrived on August and were provided with a fan. The fan was helpful but we were expecting something better when there's air-conditioning mentioned in the desribtion.

  Comments: There are 3 rooms in the flat. All of them are for guests. It makes it like a hostel. But for the price it is Ok. I did not see Faisal as we were received by his friend Hasap. Though we wrote Faisal through airbnb about the time of our arrival and he answered Ok, nobody was waiting for us. Only after we sent a text on the phone, Hasap came. Every night he slept in the living room. And the worst thing was that he smoked his water pipe just in the room. Only after I asked him not to do that. he stopped. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable.

And overall area looks a bit spooky. but it was quite close to Taksim, so can easily get to anywhere in the city and quite close to the city center. A bit shabby and dirty, due to high volume of guests. more like student apartment , not for family stay.

  Comments: Faisal and his friend that looks after the Air bnb are lovely people! However, for check in I couldn’t add them on (Hidden by Airbnb) like they asked so he told me to just message him on the Air bnb app and I was waiting about half an hour to get checked in. The place isn’t very clean and the kitchen isn’t well stocked. Would only recommend a short stay that you don’t plan to cook anything during. The location is close to transit and the hosts are very friendly and more than willing to help you out with any questions you may have.

Ghassam (Faisal's friend which was in the apartment as a host) is kind and ready to help. The location is good, close to Taksim but also to Kabatas, which I think is very convenient.

  Comments: Good host with good English. My stay got extended on short notice so I needed somewhere to stay. It was pretty much an emergency and Faisal helped me out. The place was clean and quiet, plus the great communication made the situation a lot easier.

  Comments: We had some problem. Today we left apartments we booked three days earlier that we planned. And we’d like to have our money back for the 3 cancelled days. Unluckily, we also were not satisfied with the service at all and our host didn’t help us. First, the host Faisal who is registered on Airbnb, told in the profile he lives in USA and his cousin Ahmet would meet the guests. That was okay, but the person we communicate with was nor Faisal nor Ahmet, it was Ghassan, which as Faisal said was his friend. When we got in and spent a night in the apartment, we realized Ghasan was living here, and not only visiting house at mornings and evenings, as it was said in the description of the room. He also used to invite friends in the apartment who supposedly were not guests (because they were sitting in the guestroom for hours and chatting with Ghasan and then disappeared). So we didn’t feel completely safe. We also did not know that smoking of hookah is allowed in the house. We both are non-smokers, so it’s essential for us. We were surprised this essential information wasn’t mentioned in the description of the apartment. And today we found someone’s dirty socks on the vacuum cleaner in the kitchen. This was the final issue, and also the absence of water in the area, which for sure was not the responsibility of our host. But he was not helpful enough and was already gone so we couldn’t even talk to him about the mess. He left us alone. When we wrote about all those problems to our host Faisal, he just said he see no problem in it. He also wrote that Ghassan told him about our fight with another guests - that was totally not truth and a little bit shocking. We were very sad to hear that. He also did’t commented the smoking issue at all.

The place is clean and very warm in winter. The host is very nice and kind, specially Ghassan (Faisal Freind) who was taking care of everything just to make it as perfect as any host would wish, his tips and advices are very useful for the visitors.   Comments: Walking distance to Taksim metro and the famous shopping belt/street. Most likely, the cheapest room you can find in this area. Bed is comfortable and easy access. Faisa is not at home so his friend opened the door for me - I only stayed for one night hence nothing much to comment about.   Comments: Until the very late evening of the day of check-in I didn't know the exact address and how to collect the keys. Faisal insisted to communicate over (Hidden by Airbnb) despite I told him I don't have one and gave him a plenty of other channels. At least his friend Ghassan was very friendly and I had no problems with communication with him. The place is cheap, on perfect location and good for travellers on budget. The place is clean in general, but the host can do a little bit more about it.

Сама квартира находится в очень удобном районе, действительно в 5 минутах ходьбы от площади Таксим, станции метро, автобусной остановки. Скорость и сигнал интернета отличный. Добраться куда-либо не составляет труда, если заранее запланировать маршрут ( (Hidden by Airbnb) maps в помощь:)). За неделю не заметила какого-либо недостатка или неудобства в проживании. Шума с улиц и призывов на намаз из мечетей не слышно совсем. Можно готовить, магазинов рядом много. Если пройтись, есть Carrefour мини и Migros jet. Мне очень понравилось. Рекомендую!!!

  Comments: Советую,очень удобно,5 мин пешком до Таксима. Единственный минус для меня был подъём от дома к центру. Но Стамбул весь стоит на холмах,так что это вроде нормально. Рядом есть магазинчики-ларьки,которые работали до 4-5 утра. Еслии спускаться вниз по улочке,где стоит дом,сразу выходишь на Босфор(5мин) Одним словом,нормальный дом/квартира.

  Comments: The position of the apartment is optimal ! It is very close to Taksim square and well-connected to the touristic center. Ghassan was available and very helpful with his advices and tips. He was flexible with the check-in and check-out times. The room is very basic, a bit smaller than expected, but it is enough to rest and sleep. So if you are on budget and you need a place only to shower and sleep, we do recommend this room for you.

It is a perfect place if you are a bit on a budget : very nice location in a safe and living neighbourhood and walkable distance from all nice places like Beyoğlu and Cihàngir ! The flat is very simple but all what you need is there and it is very clean as well. Ghassan who welcomed us was a great meeting : perfect communication to get to the place (text + pictures and even a video explaining how to get there !!!) , warm Arrival and nice chat with him around the shisha at evening time ! The room was quiet and nice to relax in after a long day exploring this exciting city. There are shops and places to eat nearby, it`s very well connected. At least in our case there were no towels/shampoo/shower gel provided but we brought thse along so it wasn`t a problem. Thank you very much once again for the stay!
