  Comments: Here is a breakdown of my experience at Sara's apartment- The apartment: CLEAN! If you are a neat freak (like me) then this is important. I've had a couple of airbnb experiences before where hosts didn't provide fresh sheets (yes, really) but this wasn't a problem here. The apartment comes fully stocked with all the linens and toiletries you will ever need. The place is studio, but it's decorated so nicely and organized in a manner that makes it seem a lot bigger than it really is. The room is on the fourth floor of a building with no elevator, so keep that in mind when packing. The stairs were a bit annoying at first, but I actually preferred it to staying on a lower floor having to hear people walk by. Location: Lots to eat. SO many restaurants. If you're a wino, you're in the right neighborhood. Even though you're on the UES, this neighborhood is super cozy. Also, walking distance to the subway, which provides a straight shot to downtown. Host: Extremely helpful. Never met her in person, but she arranged a very easy key pick-up. Every time I had a problem, Sara was prompt to respond and helped very quickly. She also provided a packet of information on good restaurants nearby and instructions on navigating public transportation. Who does that?? It was super helpful, and was a really nice touch to the stay. Overall: I strongly recommend this place. Sara was a great host and I would definitely stay here again.

Along with a list of instructions, she leaves you recommendations for restaurants and other things in the area. The apartment is on the UES and is EXTREMELY convenient for all transportation and getting around the city. This will be my new go-to place to stay when visiting my daughter in NYC!!

During our stay we could easily travel to the Village, SOHO and Brooklyn using the metro. There are also some great shops in the neighborhood too. Sara was a great host and stayed "on-call" even though traffic gave us a late arrival. The apartment was lovely and Sara provided clean towels - even tiny shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste. We also food a bottle of red wine on the coffee table, along with helpful info and maps to help us get acquainted with the area. Thank you Sara!

  Comments: Staying at Sara's place in the Upper east side was amazing! Everything was exactly as she described, the apartment was clean, beautiful, comfortable and in an amazing location. Sara was a perfect host- she was responsive, very helpful and accommodating with any questions we had and was lovely to deal with. When we arrived, we had all the information and instructions needed typed out for us with helpful maps and transit information printed, as well as suggestions for local restaurants and grocery stores. She left a beautiful bottle of wine for us to enjoy and luxurious linens, towels and soaps. The neighbourhood was perfect and family friendly, easy walking distance to Central Park, the subway and the Met. The apartment was quiet and very comfortable, with great A/C despite the heat wave outside. We would definitely recommend Sara's place for any guests and we would stay there again if visiting NYC.

  Comments: Sara was very flexible with our check-in and check-out times. Really worked to help us out. Thanks Sara! She met with us to give us the keys and left a writeup of details associated with the unit (and a bottle of wine!) The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator, but that didn't matter to us. The apartment was great: clean, tidy, surprisingly spacious, and in good repair. There's even a laundry option if necessary. Kitchen looked well stocked, but we didn't use it. We kept the AC on 24/7 and that kept the room at a very comfortable temperature from typical NYC summer heat and humidity. No doorman, but the area seemed very safe and the downstairs door was secure. The location of the apartment is excellent. A short (~7 minute) walk to the 4, 5 and 6 trains which connect to pretty much everything. Lots of restaurants, pubs and bars in the area. A few blocks to central park. Typical New York street parking (aka nonexistent!) But garages everywhere! Also easy to get on the FDR freeway. In short, everything as listed (or above and beyond!). Thanks Sara!

  Comments: Sara's place was clean and charming, had everything we needed. The apartment was in a convenient spot for us, with the subway only within a 5 minute walk. The only downside was that it was a four floor walk up without an elevator. Sara herself was a great host - meeting us, assisted us with bags, and provided a personalized packet with neighborhood info and suggestions. To top all that off, she welcomed us with a bottle of wine; just super nice. Overall, great place and great host!

L'appartement est exactement comme sur les photos . C'est un charmant petit studio, très bien aménagé et très propre , ordonné . Tout était préparé par Sara pour passer un excellent séjour . Ustensiles et certains aliments tels que le café était déjà disponible par notre hôte. Les instructions rédigées sous forme d'un dossier , très détaillés comprenant l'ensemble des fonctions et rangements de la maison , ainsi que les restaurants et commerces à proximité. Elle met également à disponibilité une carte des réseaux de transport. Tout au long du séjour elle resta disponible par tous les moyens de communications et à la moindre question . En ce qui concerne le quartier , calme et bien fréquenté , avec la présence de plusieurs restaurants et boutiques pour faire ses courses . L'arrêt de bus est à moins de 100m , tandis et le métro à moins de 10mn de marche , ce qui pour une ville grande comme New York relativement proche . Vous avez également accès en 15mn à Central-Park. En résumé Sara fût une " excellente " hôte à notre égard. Son appartement est un mix de charme , de tranquillité et de vie purement New-yorkaise. C'est la location parfaite pour un premier séjour dans la ville qui ne dort jamais . Un très grand merci à elle , je n'hésiterai pas à repartir en cas de nouveau séjour à NYC .

  Comments: Sara was very welcoming and friendly. She had a helpful welcome packet with restaurants and transportation options ready for us. She even provided a bottle of wine to celebrate our parents day out which was very thoughtful. She met us on a lunch break for the key drop off and offered to be available by text for assistance. Her apartment was everything we needed, perfect for two people. It was very clean and comfortable. It's about 4 blocks to a metro station, a 10 min walk to central park, and has restaurants galore right outside the door. We were in and out throughout the day and evening and the neighborhood always felt perfectly safe. The 4 flights of stairs paled in comparison to the miles of walking we did in the city. This place is a great location if you're visiting museum mile. Thanks Sara for hosting us.

  Comments: Sara was very flexible juggling work and life and fitting us in to check into her place. The description is accurate, nothing we thought the place needed. Some tips for other travelers, but mostly for people who are not used to walking. This is on the 4th floor and to get where most will be going is up a gradual hill. We had no problem with this but after a few days you start wondering if that one thing in your car is really worth it. Our friends we met up with were tired of walking everywhere, but that is what we do when we are in the city. The neighborhood is nice. Anything you really need is within a 10 minute walk if not right around the corner. We found a great french pizza place, Vietnamese, diner and papya king within a short distance. On a personal note, it is close enough to central park that if you are a runner, by the time you get to the park, your legs are loose and ready to go. I loved that the park had a dirt path around it. As a trail runner, this was the surprise of the trip. Liz's description of the area is that It's a nice neighborhood that you could get lost in for days and not experience it all. The only thing that will make us look elsewhere next time in the city would be if we are going to be centrally located in a different area. One more thing I forgot to mention was that this was my 1st experience driving into the city. Since her place is far enough away from downtown, you can go over the Washington bridge and sneak into the FDR highway and not have to deal with as much traffic.

When I arrived at the apartment, she had left me a package of information listing nearby restaurants and subway stations and anything else I would need to know, along with a bottle of wine (so sweet!).   Comments: My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sara’s studio apartment on the Upper East Side. The apartment was attractive, clean,and comfortable. It was equipped with quality furniture, bedding and kitchen utensils. There was a large, high-def TV with many cable channels, and the capability of easy Net-Flix streaming. The location was excellent, with many nearby restaurants. It was an easy walk to Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was within half a block of the 2nd Avenue bus line (M-15), which is an easy way to get downtown and to lower Manhattan. Some of our most fun times were spent riding the bus. It’s a great way to meet native New Yorkers. Sara was accommodating, readily available, and easy to work with. We liked her a lot. Our long weekend in New York was wonderful, and having Sara’s apartment as our base of operations really made it all possible. We highly recommend it and hope to return again.   Comments: The experience was just as the listing described! The apartment was super cute and cozy, while spacious for a studio. The neighborhood was very safe and there's a cute coffee shop close by that we kept going back to! Sarah was very kind and let us check in early and out late, to accommodate our flights. She even left us a bottle of wine (which was very delicious). We were happy to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Times Square, and it was nice to be so close to Central Park.

She was very easy to communicate with right before the stay and when we arrived, she left the keys somewhere we could pick them up as she waited for us, but then had to leave. The appartment is very cosy, very clean and nicely decorated, there not a thing we missed, we really felt at home. She left a bottle of wine and a personalized guide for everything (travel tips, restaurant tips, TV, laundry etc) for us. We were offered to contact her any time we had a question. The location of the appartment is pretty perfect, it's just some blocks to the Central Park, everything you need is just around the corner, but nevertheless it is very quiet at night, I was actually surprised.   Comments: Without any hesitation, I can say that Sara made our 4-day trip to NY comfortable, enjoyable, and simple! Sara was more than accommodating and we really enjoyed the space she provided us with. She was also easy to get a hold of and her apartment was VERY clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location of this space was wonderful. We were able to walk to and through Central Park and we were also in walking distance of many bus routes and subway stations. We were also walking distance to the museum mile and were able to enjoy the Met and Guggenheim without using any PT. I highly recommend this space and this host to anyone looking to visit NYC. It also doesn't hurt that she has an amazing book collection if you want to get off your feet for a bit. 10/10!

  Comments: Sara's place was perfect for a weekend trip to NYC. It had plenty of room for my wife and I to get ready, sleep, and relax comfortably. Sara provided ample closet space for clothes, food, etc. Upon arrival, we found a print out of extremely useful information (subway map and schedule, local restaurant recommendations, and directions to both local and tourist areas). In addition to the info, Sara provided a bottle of red wine for us. Her apartment is located in a great area with the subway only a few blocks away, but catching a cab was extremely easy as well. By far the best communication we've ever had with Airbnb. She was available at all times to answer any questions we had. The next time we go to NYC, we'll definitely try to book Sara's place again.

  Comments: Sara's studio apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan was the perfect location to enjoy all the BEST NYC has to offer this time of year! Close enough to the main streets leading downtown, yet just far enough that it was quite when retreating to rest. The studio was extremely comfortable w/an efficient use of space. My 21 yr old daughter and I stayed for the weekend to enjoy the Holiday Festivities.. albeit a bit too much the nite before we were scheduled to leave. We awoke late, missed our flight, and ended up having to make a mad dash out the door, to catch our new flight - leaving the apt disorderly and not at all how we'd envisioned leaving our hostess' home! Sara, however, handled this as a true professional. She was polite and accepting of our plight and receiving of my apologies. Bless you, Sara! She left a thoughtful note offering recommendations of a nice variety of excellent nearby restaurants and instructions for use of the apt. (like her WiFi network/password!) She had fresh linens and EXCELLENT handsoaps set out for our use; compatible to a nice hotel, actually. Full service kitchen gave us the freedom to bring back bottled water and restaurant leftovers to eat the next day. The home is easily comfortable for two adults.. perhaps even 3 if there is a couple who doesn't mind sleeping together in the bed.. I think it was a full size mattress. My daughter said the couch was very comfy too! The only thing that caught me by surprise were the stairs.. this was my 1st trip to NYC .. so I guess I was assuming there'd be an elevator. So, if you bring heavy luggage, or you're not in the best health.. you may have some challenges getting up all the stairs = 4 flights @ 18 steps each flight. You certainly get your workout! The building was very quite and hallway passerbys were friendly. Her unit is top floor so nobody above you. Sara has a great design aesthetic; her home was very interesting... the only recommendation I'd have is to add to your 'welcome sheet' a short bio about you! My daughter and I found ourselves wondering .. what line of work is she in, what is her life like, where does she stay when she's renting out her home, what does she do for fun in this amazing city????? We may be more curious than most.. but when temporarily living in someone's home.. we couldn't help but wonder more about SARA! From her choice of books (including the way she color coordinated them-LOVE IT!!!!), perfumes, and organizational style.. she's definitely someone I'd likely be good friends with - and of course I LOVE her name, lol. You won't be sorry if you stay here.. it's a wise choice and perfect location.

The studio was spotless, and all the linens and instructions were laid out for us to find easily. One of the biggest blessings for us personally was Sara's flexibility for check-in and check-out. She worked around our flight arrival and departure so we didn't have to carry our luggage around the city. The subway was only about 5 blocks away, so we were able to get anywhere in the city very easily. If we ever return to the city, I will definitely plan to stay here again!

We were delighted by the view of trees just outside the window and very much appreciated having everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely want to stay at Sara's place the next time we are visiting NYC and will highly recommend her place to our family and friends.

The building is nice and quiet and the stairs to the 4th floor were great cardio! lol! The apartment is a short walk to public transportation, a short walk to Central Park and the neighborhood is quiet & clean. The apartment was cozy, super clean and had all amenities needed. The shower temperature was hot & stayed that way for a while (a big plus) There are lots of food options in all price ranges within the local area and Sara’s recommendations were great hits! All in all it’s a great studio in a nice location close to everything you need. We can’t thank her enough for the awesome stay and the wine was an added bonus!

  Comments: Great little studio in the upper east side. Right off of 2nd ave so there were so many restaurants, delis, and bar options. Just 4 short blocks to the 86th street subway stations. The apartment itself was very clean and neat. I appreciated the minimalist style. I had everything I needed for my weekend stay: a comfy bed and sofa, clean bathroom with lots of hot water, and good heat for the cold winter nights. The only thing I think should be added to the post is that this is a 4th floor walk-up. Meaning that there is no elevator and 4 pretty steep flights of stairs. They were no problem for me but I could see how some guests would find this problematic. Try the Midnight Express for yummy NYC style diner food. Visit the Drunken Monkey for some great Indian food. If you’re in the mood for quick and cheap but extremely delicious breakfast sandwiches- go to the Deli on 2nd ave.

The apartment got kinda hot. I couldn't find where to turn down the heat and I should've just asked. There are lots of places to grab food and coffee nearby. Subway/train wasn't far. It's an all around great place to stay!

  Comments: Sara's studio met our expectations, it was comfortable, clean and very well located. Walking distance to metro stations, restaurants, central park, museums, etc. You name it... Getting there from La Guardia airport was easy taking into account that we arrived on a weekday during morning. If this is the case for your trip please note that you may have to pick up the keys from a Cafe somo blocks away. So if you're coming heavy on luggage (not our case) plan the logistics accordingly. Another thing to bear in mind is that if you have difficulties going up the stairs, note that it's located on a 4th floor and there's no elevator. To sum up I 100% recommend this place

The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator - manageable for us, but may be something to consider for other guests. We picked up keys in a safe location just a few blocks over. The neighborhood is vibrant, and not overcrowded or loud, like other parts of the city can be. Easy walk to the subway or corner to catch a cab or uber to wherever we wanted to go. Sara was quick to respond if we had a question, and she even left us a bottle of wine! 10/10 would stay again. Thanks Sara for being an awesome host!

  Comments: My girlfriend and I spent four nights at Sara's place. It was spacious, clean and tastefully furnished, and was the basis for a great trip. We were initially slightly skeptical of the location, as many of our friends live below 20th, but the Q line made Manhattan (and even Brooklyn) only one transfer-less subway ride away. Sara also gave us a late check out, let us extend an extra night and was readily available via Airbnb messenger. I would happily stay here again, and Sara's place offered great bang for our buck.

  Comments: This was my family’s first experience staying at an Air Bnb. We were thrilled with Sara’s hospitality and quick responses. The location was fantastic - very safe, close to Central Park (where we attended a wedding), great restaurants and the subway. The apartment worked well for us and our infant son. It is on the fourth floor, which was hard with the baby and all his stuff, but Sara checked with us beforehand to make sure that would be doable. It’s easy to get to and from LGA and all the big city attractions. We’d highly recommend it!

  Comments: My stay at Sara’s was excellent. I just needed a quiet place to sleep at night while I was at a conference. The place was nicely decorated and very clean. The temperature was great at night, and it was not at all noisy for what you’d expect in NYC. The location was also excellent, with plenty of restaurants and fun bars open late within walking distance. Sara was available for check-in even though it was late at night, and left me a bottle of very good wine with some good tips about the neighborhood and building. The TV had both Hulu and Netflix, which was a nice bonus, and wifi worked well. This will definitely be at the top of my list when I come back to NYC.
