  Comments: What a great apartment! Absolute beach front. Amazing views. Open plan, light, bright with a great designer feel thanks to gorgeous furniture and a wonderful art collection. Mal was fantastic. Very welcoming and helpful. Going above and beyond expectations by dropping in a great DVD collection! Very thoughtful. The vase of gorgeous fresh flowers was a lovely touch also. Bondi is now a mecca for some seriously great restaurants, groovy little bars and some of Sydney's best coffee. We were spoiled for choice. We loved our stay here and will most definitely be back. Thanks Mal!

  Comments: Great apartment with a great host. Mal met us on day one & went out of his way to ensure we were happy guests. New kitchen & bathroom added to the value of the apartment with the incredible location & views. We felt right at home in Bondi, immediately. Having 3 kids of his own, Mal was extra helpful with the loan of a cot, high chair, stroller & dvd's which made travelling with our own little one that much easier. I'll be booking with Mal again when next in Sydney.

The apartment itself is very nice and very comfortable; it is light, airy, relaxing - all the things a beachside apartment should be. And the location just can't be beat. It is right on the beach and right next to everything you want to be near, while retaining the laid-back 'neighbourhood' vibe that the best parts of Bondi seem to manage. The views are, needless to say, spectacular. Mal was very friendly, offering us some local insights into places we might want to check out (or avoid) and although we didn't call him again after we checked in, he was sure to let us know we could call if we needed anything. In short, the perfect place to stay in Sydney. Would go back again in a second.

  Comments: We booked the room VERY short notice (the day before, flying in from Europe :) and where a little worried if Mal would be able to arrange for our move in so quickly. You bet he did :) He was down in Melbourne on the day of our arrival but he had it all arranged, the place was in top condition, and the crib was waiting for our little girl. Mal was great in all respects, a good example being how quickly he sorted out an issue with the Internet Service Provider. He even left me a temporary data SIM card for the few hours of downtime (that were not his fault)! He also put together a list of day trips and even kept a few of our suitcases for us while we went onwards to travel the country. We were so thankful as it saved us trememdous hassle and airflight baggage fees. The apartment itself is exactly as the pictures show - really awesome and in the midst of Bondi. We had a great time and will for sure return to visit Mal´s place when we come back to Sydney.

  Comments: Good apartment. If you've got kid(s) be aware that there is no door for the bedroom. At all. Also if you come in a car, the parking outside is 1P or 4P and incredibly expensive, up to $17 per hour. You can find free parking about 10-15 minute walk away. Bondi waves always work so if that's your thing this place is worth the steep price

The photos are true to the decor but cannot begin to properly describe how wonderful it is to be perched up in your "Sydney home" watching the world go by on Bondi Beach. The best location in Sydney by far! And Mal is the perfect host. So quick to respond to all enquiries and goes above and beyond to make your stay really special. Thanks for everything Mal.   Comments: This was one of the best trips I've taken thanks to Mal and his beautiful apartment. It was exactly as advertised and in the best location you could ask for. We were directly across the road from Bondi Beach and the apartment was incredibly clean and comfortable. Mal had provided us with everything we could possibly ask for - beach towels, internet, movies, fresh fruit and tips on what to do in Bondi. I will definitely recommend Mal's apartment to friends and family and I hope to return soon myself!

  Comments: Mal was very prompt in all my replies and queries to him. He was also kind enough to allow me to place my luggage in the apartment before check in time. The location of this apartment is good, some shops and eateries within 7 mins walk and the view of the beautiful beach is to die for. Apartment is a pretty run-down building but the interior of Mal's apartment is cozy. After dropping our luggage, we left the apartment for cleaners to clean up the place. When we check in officially after 4 pm, fresh bedsheets were provided. house was cleaned up. There were some leftover food in the fridge though, probably by guest before us. There were some baby roaches crawling around the kitchen stove/ cabinets. flooring was abit sandy and sticky. But I have to say the wind was really quite strong...hence the sandiness. The kind size bed in the Bedroom & single bed outside is very comfortable. I enjoyed reading my book, watching the clear blue sky and gorgeous view...plus the lovely breeze on the single bed or dining table. Overall, it's a lovely place to stay.

  Comments: Mal was a great host. We arrived early. Mal was there to meet us. The communication was very easy through text messages and phone calls. He even helped us carrying a huge suitcase from ground floor to the third floor. Great holiday staying right on the bondi beach! Highly recommended!

  Comments: The place was great. Mal was always near the phone when I had any queries, and was amazing at accomodating unusual check in/out times. I would definitely stay here again. The bus is right outside the door and in only a 45 minute ride you are in the heart of the city. Had a wonderful time.

  Comments: We stayed at Mal's place right on Bondi Beach for four days and it was HUGE! For a family of four, it was really great because we could spread out. The kitchen was also great and had full sized appliances. The beds were dreamy and the location, if you like to be ocean front, was amazing. We rented a car which now in hindsight was only good for heading out to the zoo or back to the airport because parking around there was awful. And really, there was enough to do right around there so we barely used the car anyway. Mal came over and met us and showed us around the apartment a bit. He actually brought us bread, milk, butter and orange juice, which we were not expecting at all. Plus, he gave us a bit of history on the place, the neighborhood, and a bit on Sydney which was great. He was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with a local. Internet was good and there was a washer and dryer on the roof, too, which was convenient. Just get some coins for it. Highly recommend. I am thankful for AirBNB reviews bc we have stayed in some awesome places over our travels!

  Comments: The location is very convenient to the beach, cafes and the beautiful coastal walk. The building itself is a little weather beaten and the entrance to the apartment a bit unkempt - we had to remove a box of garbage to go up the stairs. The apartment is efficient and comfortable however the dishwasher was very hard to open and when I did it had dirty dishes inside and the linens were worn.

  Comments: Great location right on Bondi Beach with spectacular views, only a short stroll the beach front shops. Mal made check in easy for us and was helpful with any questions that we had. The only downside is that there is no free parking available anywhere nearby and we had a vehicle.

  Comments: I can vouch that the view is real and gorgeous! This apartment is in the perfect location, especially for surfers or aspiring surfers. Even in the winter, classes are offered. Transferring over the keys (the hardest part of airbnb in my opinion) was painless and Mal was easy to coordinate with. We enjoyed the Italian place he recommended and the burrito place down the street. The cab app he recommended was a lifesaver for getting me to the airport without dropping a ton of money on an uber or lugging around my bags! On colder days, I highly recommend using the dehumidifier Mal provides, because the heater causes a bit of condensation. The second and third bed don't have much privacy, but would be great for families on a vacation.

  Comments: Mal is an attentive host and a friendly, warm guy. Before I arrived Mal sent a couple of recommendations for good local eats and was happy to help me figure out where to park a vehicle safely, without cost. When I arrived I was very glad for the tea and coffee Mal provided in the kitchen. The photographs for the view and the apartment are accurate and the location is top notch. I stayed in the front room in a single bed and my Mum stayed in the bedroom. A little street noise wafts up at nighttime but nothing particularly late and nothing troublesome. Morning runs along Bondi beach and the Eastern Beaches headlands walk were amazing. The building is older, although the apartment was renovated sometime in more recent years and perfectly comfortable. Heaters provided in each major room made Sydney's winter fine. There is no lift in the building, so it has walk-up stairs to the third floor. There is a roof terrace commanding fine, unobstructed views of the bay and Bondi beach. Definitely on my list to stay again.

  Comments: We made a last minute booking and although Mal was out of town, he responded quickly and gave clear direction on how to access the apartment. He was also flexible on check in and out times. The view is amazing, exactly as portrayed in the pictures. We didn't spend much time in the apartment but it is clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. So much to do and great places within walking distance to eat and drink. Only warning would be for those with physical challenges- apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift.

Mal delivered sheets & pillow cases to us at 8 o'clock at night (and a bottle of wine that evaporated very quickly) & remade the beds after his cleaner let him down on 2 separate occasions. We had a great chat and contact with Mal via AirBNB App or text was prompt & courteous. As a person who lives in and around the area Mal knows all the ins & outs & is very pleasant to deal with. Apartment is right across the road from the beach Bondi is a very funky area with a mix of both residents & tourists. It is a great place to just chill out & people watch or to get in amongst it. Each day you will see people surfing off the main beach from dawn to dusk. Many of you will know that the TV Show Bondi Rescue is shot down here in the Summer months. Great walk along the coastline also from Bondi to Coogee Beach (about 8 km). This takes you past the famous Icebergs Pool & Restaurant/Bar. The walk is well worth doing as is also eating & drinking afterwards at The Pavillon in Coogee (plenty of food options available & Gluten free meals as well - try the sashimi you won't regret it) Our daughter is gluten/lactose/MSG intolerant and we found all places that we ate at locally were able to cater for this. We ate at Raw Bar (my girls said best sushi they have had), Porch & Parlour (breakfast, coffee & dinner place - great tunes played the night we were there - White Stripes, SRV, etc.). Bondi Hardware (On Hall Street, shared plates/Tapas restaurant - good indie vibe & acid jazz being played when we we there) Aquabar Cafe (Next door to Porch & Overlooks Beach - good breakfast & great coffee) & Trio Cafe Bar locally. The Apartment itself is as you see it a 1 bedroom with 2 further beds available in the front room (1 bed slides out from under the other). Small bathroom but more than adequate & clean, has good water pressure & plenty of hot water for showers & great WiFi. Fridge in kitchen is excellent & heating in both bedroom & lounge also very good & simple to use. Easily caters for a family of 3 like us or 4 people using both beds in front room. Beds were good to sleep on (main bed is king size). Foxtel TV provided (basic package, so no sports, movies or some entertainment programs). Also DVD player & Sony sound dock that you can play your IPods/Phones through via Bluetooth. Buses available across the road which can get you to Bondi Junction & into the city. We used Uber extensively - X, Taxi & Black. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a pickup. Now for the fusspots, these comments didn't affect us nor detract from the great time we had, but some people can be more picky...

  Comments: Amazing appartment with a stunning view. The pictures on the profile are accurate, you cant stay much closer to the beach than this. The appartment is well equipped, spacious, clean and his free WIFI. There is a bus stop just outside the door which makes it really easy to commute to the city and back. Though Bondi can be really busy at the weekends the appartment is not in the middle of the "party section" which gives you peace and quiet when needed. Mal was the perfect host who was always quick to reply via messages or App to any questions we had. It was even possible to have a later check out as we were flying out late. We had an amazing stay and couldnt have asked for more !! Highly recommended to anyone !!!

The place is clean and cozy but the best part is the view of the ocean and the easy accessibility to the best Bondi has to offer. We were there for two days, didn't have a car and didn't need one as the ocean, cafes, Bondi Icebergs and sea front walks are right at your footsteps!

  Comments: A very convenient apartment, with Bondi beach literally steps away from the front door. Beautiful views! A word or warning: if you're driving parking is all metered at a rate of $7 an hour so it works out very expensive if you're not planning to drive around whilst you're staying. Mal was a great host and very accommodating - some great suggestions for dining and drinking in the local area. Wifi was very handy to look up places to visit. Would definitely recommend this place to others!

  Comments: Luxury location but not exactly luxury accommodation. This apartment has great space and potential and the owner is lovely, however it would benefit from new towels, bedding, windows that actually shut, a paint job and a plumbing upgrade. Advertised as luxury but be aware you are paying more for location which as mentioned is pretty fabulous. If location is primary concern than this is unbeatable.

  Comments: Mal was very nice and arrived with some groceries and fresh flowers a few hours into my stay and also shared with me some favorite spots to visit in the neighborhood! Overall, a really nice place to stay - great location in North Bondi, easy check-in process, good communication leading up to the stay, and it felt very safe (for a solo woman). Mal was great with offering to let me check out later on Sunday if it was better for my flight schedule. I would not describe the apartment as "luxury" as the post does, but it could be there with some minor improvements. I did love the natural light and high ceilings! The apartment building was quite loud many of the nights (thurs/fri/sat), but that's no fault to Mal of course, just the neighbors. They typically quieted down by around midnight or one - and it is Bondi after all - nothing that wasn't solved with a pair of earplugs.

  Comments: The apartment is very centrally located (only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the main shopping strip. Mal was extremely communicative, answering all our questions within minutes. The apartment is large enough to comfortably fit multiple guests and was well-equipped with everything we needed, especially kitchen utensils. Neighbours are a bit noisy and at the time of our stay there was no rooftop access, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would come here again.

Close proximity to great bars and restaurants. We had a really wonderful time. I'd suggest if someone is sleeping in the sun room that you pack a sleeping mask as the street lights are a little bright. Would 100% recommend this place to stay. Will be back!

Great to live in it but not exactly up to the expectations for general maintenance of the house. There is a big mold stain caused by a leak in the roof and a pot on the floor to catch the drips. The windows could have been a bit cleaner and there were other signs of mold in a few spots.

  Comments: This was the first time I had ever used air bnb. Overall the apartment was great. Location was perfect with great views of Bondi beach. It is on the third floor, so consider this if you have a lot of luggage. Apartment could have been a bit tidier, but I think the turnaround was a little rushed - I assume that for the most part things are all ship shape. Our host left us alone, which was fine but a check in text asking if everything was OK would have been appreciated and thoughtful.

However, there are some big problems with the apartment. There are three flights of stairs (no lift) to reach the apartment. There is a major roof leak, with HUGE patches of mould, even requiring a bowl to catch the drips. Cleanliness was an issue. - The cleaners left several items leaving one unsure how clean the place was. - The bed linen was extremely crumpled making it difficult to feel confident it was clean. - The windows are filthy, partially obscuring the fabulous view. Mal did not meet me, as stated in the ad.

  Comments: Awesome spot with a host who is quick to reply and easy going. The location is the key here, it is literally right off the beach. It gets a little warm at night (we were in the peak of summer) but Mal had a few fans that were easy to plug in, which helped a good deal. Bondi is simply the best and this one wins with location.

Previous people have left some ingredients which helps keep costs down (don't buy balsamic vinegar - there are three full bottles there). Check what's in the cupboard before you shop. The only two detractors were out of Mal's control - leak in the roof (he says he's been nagging the strata to have it fixed) and noisy buses bringing endless groups of tourists. Foxtel subscription seems to have expired, but maybe we just didn't know how to operate it. Fast WiFi internet. Overall a very pleasant stay.

  Comments: The view and location are fantastic. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift, but it was not a problem for us. The apartment was excellent value for three people. The washing machine and dryer are not located in the apartment, once again not really a problem to go up to the next level. The leaking ceiling and mould is a major problem. We didn't get a lot of rain, but the floor around the sunroom bed was very wet. Not sure what happens in winter? The toilet seems to have been "broken" for weeks. Hopefully, fixed the day we left. Mal was excellent, responded quickly and helped with any problems.

  Comments: Luxury is probably not the word I would use to describe this flat. Yes, the view and the location is top notch. But a mouldy hole in the roof when it’s raining (and not informed about in the ad) and sleeping in a bed that feels it’s in the middle of a roundabout is not five stars. Great roof terrace though, and short distance to everything North Bondi has to offer. But the flat needs a proper clean up. Cupboards and wardrobes were also a mess.

Something, I've seen, but did not fully appreciate till getting there, is that Bondi is a busy neighborhood, so you can hear the traffic info the night, but I've stayed for just about a week and after second night was pretty used to it, though I wish I could open the windows and listen to the ocean instead -- that was the dream before coming

  Comments: No problem communicating with Mal, check-in easy etc. Apartment spacious & well-located. Plenty of hot water for the bath, and loved the Epsom salts after a big day of walking. Gas heater kept me warm. But the place itself felt a little stark and empty on arrival - no sign of the attractive sofas and colourful rug and cushions, lamp etc that feature in the lovely well-lit wide-angle photos. A couple of non-functional/broken light fittings, some random objects lying around as if forgotten, unopened mail, scrawled-on sheets of paper, a half-full kitchen tidy, the kitchen-wipe scrunched up and a bit smelly...All very minor deficiencies, I know, but cumulatively a little unwelcoming, and not what I’d call ‘luxury’! Also I didn’t realise quite what a busy noisy road the flats are on (noticeable if sleeping in front room) . But having said all that, the beds are comfortable, the sheets and towels fresh and good quality, the view a pleasure, the kitchen really well- equipped, and the roof top a delightful spot to catch some winter sun and sip my coffee. Enjoyed my stay.
