Neighborhood Overview: The neighborhood is rural and quiet. Though close to the main road, the houses are tucked away on small one lane roads and are mostly on small farms. It is safe to walk around the neighborhood at night, although one should leave space for cars approaching on the narrow road. There is a close by farmer's market on Friday and Sunday.

Notes: There is no dishwasher. The wifi is satellite based and is fast enough for most uses. It is on a semi capped plan that I can add to. Email and web surfing is easily supported. Running HD movies can use up a lot of GB. Antenna servicing is being done this week and is likely to improve the system. (Dec 1, 2016) I will update

Transit: Public transportation is poor on the island although there is a bus stop in front of the Manago Hotel, which is within 10-15min walking distance. This location is best for a person with a rental car as the bus comes only a couple times a day.

Access: Guests have access to all rooms in the house, including the kitchen and two bathrooms. We live on a separate property.

Interaction: I will try to greet you and introduce you to the house when you arrive. I will also be available for advice on how to enjoy the island. You will have some organic coffee that was grown on the farm, vegetables from our CSA and organic true cinnamon from my other farm. More will be available if wanted. Tuesdays are often workdays on the farm so there may be a few people caring for the plants on that day. You can help if interested or even take a farm tour of the main farm or produce business for a small fee. My produce company has access to the best food on the island including tropical fruits like mango and dragon fruit, along with mushrooms, lettuce, and other produce

House Rules: Please respect neighbors by being quiet after 10 pm. There is no smoking in the house, but it is OK on the porch, if you clean up your ashes. No pets are allowed. There is an additional charge of $25/person/night when more than two people rent the property. For children under 16 the charge is reduced to $10/person/night. Children are handled under special offers.

Comments: Four of us stayed at Kane's lovely coffee farm in Captain Cook. It was such a neat experience - the coffee, tons of freshman fruit, avocados all over. We took some for our trip into Hilo that we are still eating for dinner. The place is big, plenty of room for 4 of us. You are up in the mountains, but towns and food are very close.

Comments: If you want to get away from the big resorts and condo projects, this is the place. Remote, peaceful, authentic. Tane was a gracious host, and even brought us fresh vegetables and fruit from the farm.

  • Reviewer: Jennelle

Comments: Beautiful secluded spot, an easy 15 min drive to awesome snorkel and kid friendly beaches. Our 4 yr old loved having Tane or my husband shake the orange tree to get ripe ones. The lanai was fantastic for afternoon lounging. This place was just what we needed, outside of the tourist areas, and in the bush. We were sad to go!

Comments: Great House and a Great Host. The home is exactly as shown, and the Lanai is fantastic. Tane had left us some produce from the farm and we had a great time talking about Local Issues. Thanks for the great stay (Don't use the Iphone Imaps App to find the house as on much of the big island it is not helpful) (The house access is not difficult)

Comments: Thank you, Tane for your warm welcome. The place was just like on the website, super spacious and rustic. It felt like the "real" Hawaii. We really enjoyed the area and your place was the perfect base!

Comments: Six of us stayed at Tane’s Captain Cook house for three nights. The home was very accommodating and comfortable. Tane made us feel like welcomed guests, which enhanced the experience (e.g., gave suggestions for things to do, provided essentials such as soap and shampoo for the bathrooms, paper plates and tinfoil for our picnics, etc.). We really enjoyed the coffee and produce that was provided and the recommendations for snorkeling and breakfast were spot-on! If we’re ever back in the Captain Cook area, we’d gladly return to this house.

Comments: Tane's wonderful farm spot was spacious, pretty, close to many wonderful spots near Captain Cook / Kona, and a great deal for the price if you have a group. Tane gave us free local coffee, fresh fruit, & great advice on local spots. He also had a lot of thoughtful ideas to share about Hawaii's development & environmental issues. Highly recommend staying here.

Comments: If you want to get away from the throngs of tourists in Kona, this is the place! Yet it's still just a short drive to lots of restaurants and points of interest. Climb a neat one lane winding road to the house. Lush green fruit trees and coffee bushes are everywhere. The house is big, simple/rustic and clean. Nice big covered deck with dining table and chairs makes it a great place to eat outside, even when it's raining! It's a little tricky to find, so call or text Tane for precise directions. (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps couldn't find it, and there are several houses with the same number on that road. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs, as the jungle comes alive at night with the sounds of birds, frogs and the occasional rooster. But we didn't find it a problem.

Comments: Tane was a wonderful host and provided us with an unforgettable experience. The grounds were beautiful and the house was plenty big enough for our family with 2 adults, 4 teens, and an 8-year-old. We will definitely be back!

Comments: Tane's place is beautiful! We loved being ensconced in the lush (organic - yay!) vegetation and relaxing on the Lanai. Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful gift of coffee and fruit that made us feel very welcome. This was the perfect base for us.

Comments: We really enjoyed our time at Kona Farm. The house was as described. The setting was neat and lush. We enjoyed the welcome gifts. Tane was away but Kapula was very helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Comments: The land has incredible energy. The place was comfortable and clean. He left us a sweet note, sweet fruit, and was super friendly and easy to communicate with.

Comments: Tane was warm, welcoming, generous, and made himself available for any help or questions. We couldn't have asked for a better host.

  • Reviewer: Nita

Comments: This country house is so relaxing- the roosters wake you up and the frogs sing you to sleep! The host is very communicative, helpful and welcoming with local fruit from his farm and local info. The house accommodates two families easily but is basic and not fancy. If you like resort hotels you may not be thrilled. It's the real Hawaii, being in nature and close to all the best spots in south Kona- don't even bother going to town- it's all here. If you like adventure and local life, this is the place! I would definitely come back.

Comments: I loved staying in the Farm. Beautiful scenery and smell of nature. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. I was very impressed. Tane was a great host, very attentive and answered all our questions. He left us a few gifts from the farm that won my heart. The house accommodates a large group, we had rooms to spare. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the living room area, very spacious with comfy couches, where we sat at the end of our day to recap our adventures. It's a great place to stay if you like quiet and be away from the high traffic touristy area. It's about a 15 minute drive from the hotels and restaurants in Kona. Overall, it was a very good experience, better than some hotels I have stayed in over the world. I would definitely stay there again.

Comments: Tane is an excellent host, friendly and helpful. He was concerned about us finding the place, and gave us excellent directions, as well as keeping in touch and giving us his phone no. to offer us help in the search, which we used! When we entered the place we were welcomed with a gift of some of his homegrown coffee, and fruits, as well a a booklet of directions and local tips and activity suggestions. searching. He later came by to check on us and see how things were going and offer some helpful local tips. His house was beautiful, we loved it! The lovely kitchen was large and inviting to work in, and we loved eating on the lanai, enjoying the beautiful, luxuriant flowers and plants flourishing in the farm yard. The beds were very comfortable, and bedrooms were large; and there were two nice bathrooms, which made things easier. The living room couches were comfy, and the house was spacious, clean and comfortable; all we could have hoped for. We probably spent most of our time on the lanai~and there was a hammock there too! The location was wonderfully private, up a long winding rural road, quiet and peaceful; you couldn't even see any other houses around. We would definitely stay there again, we were sorry to leave it! We highly recommend Tane as a gracious, helpful host of a wonderful house.

Comments: Unfortuantely, I was called away for a familhy emergency, however the rest of my crew were able to show up. Despoite the fact that I had personally madeall of the arrangements and made all contact it was no problem whatsoever for my husband to check in to the house! He said that there was fresh fruit, coffee and some other farm fresh goodies there to greet him and the rest of the familhy that showed up the following day. All resports I got were that the house was great, andeveryone was comfortable. Thank you Tane, I hope that I personally get to stay at your home soon! Aloha and Mahalo

Comments: Tane was an Excellent host. He came to the house when we first arrived and provided information about the community we would not have been able to find through a guide book. He left us fresh fruit, coffee beans, and cinnamon to enjoy. His large home is situated up a long narrow road that truly ends in farm country. Rosters wake you up in the morning, and crickets put you to sleep. From the windows you can see the sun set, fruit trees and lush vegetation. The neighborhood is a great location to pick up all the amenities you desire and a perfect place to get away from all the people and hustle in Kona. Its a 20 minute drive from an beautiful volcanic beach and snorkeling location. We had a very pleasant say.

Comments: Tane does a great job making his guests feel welcome. We were able to check in a bit early with no problems and he left us some wonderful treats; coffee grown right on the property, cinnamon from his other farm, and tons of fruit (some of which I've never seen before!) He also gave us great recommendations for snorkeling. The location of the house is wonderful, it feels remote but is only minutes away from town (and Da Poke Shack-go immediately!). The washer/dryer and porch hammock were a plus and it was nice that drinking water was provided. This house would be perfect for a large group visiting Hawaii on the cheap. We definitely underutilized it!

Comments: I loved The Owl’s Nest, as Tane’s place is called, and we saw an owl fly by our first evening. Six of us - my three grown children and two of their partners and I stayed for 9 days and had such a great time. The place is spacious and very comfortable, including all the beds. In the mornings on the lanai, I’d watch the sky lighten and listen to the roosters, watch butterflies on the poinsettia tree – we identified so many different birds (bring your binoculars)! We ate avocados and oranges from right out the door, ate the fruits Tane left us (some I had never seen before) and enjoyed the coffee and cinnamon from his farms. The spacious kitchen was perfect for family cooking and card games after dinner. We snorkeled and swam with dolphins at Two-Step (15 or so minutes away) and highly recommend The Poke Shack on the way. Tane was very responsive to texts, and we all enjoyed our conversation with him when he dropped by. Such a perfect hideaway!

Comments: Tane was very welcoming!! The driveway up was very narrow and dark at night but Tane gave thorough instructions on how to get to the location which helped a lot. It was very scenic, peaceful, and beautiful during the day. We all loved his house! He had multiple beds available and they were all comfortable. We would definitely go back if we were going to the Big Island!

Comments: We enjoyed Tane's place a lot. It is a really charming and comfortable house in a green and quiet location. We were a group of 11 and both the adults and the little ones enjoyed their stay. The porch is amazing, especially early in the morning. Tane is a great host, he paid a lot of attention to make sure everything was alright for us. Tane welcomed us with some local coffee, fresh cinamom and fruits, this is a really nice touch. We highly recommend this place!

Comments: Tane was very helpful in guiding us to his farm house. The road to the house is narrow, but we were able to navigate fairly easily even with the mustang the rental agency gave us. Tane left us some really great treats! We both thought that was really nice. The house is big, with plenty of beds and rooms for a larger group. The view is gorgeous. I loved listening to the birds and other little critters outside. The linens were plentiful and smelled very freshly laundered. Honestly, we didn't spend a lot of time at the house. We had plans with family who live locally. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Comments: Tane was a great host and Owls Nest was a great place to stay. Tame provided some great coffee from the farm and some delicious fruits too! Lots of space for sleeping, our family of five had plenty of room and still some empty beds. House was stocked with the odds and ends we needed to cook the food we bought from the convenient grocery store right down the road. The kids loved exploring the property. Highly recommended. We'll try to stay here on our next trip.

Comments: The Owl's Nest is one of the best places we have ever stayed in on vacation. Tane is an attentive host who is easy to communicate with, and quick to respond to messages. The property is set back in the slopes and has one of the most beautiful private roads that leads up to the front gate. The property is exactly as described, on a coffee farm with ocean view on the lanai. The setting is very quiet, and the starry night sky is so peaceful. Tane made sure we got to the property, and kindly gave us tropical fruits, coffee from his own farm, and fresh cinnamon (not to be missed, so real and flavorful, we are ordering more!) He stocked the entire house with everything a family would need. This is the most fully stocked vocational rentals I have ever stayed at. There are actually four bedrooms, one with a twin, two with one queen each, and one with two queens. Overall, I highly recommend this rental and it's wonderful host.

Comments: Tane could not have been more welcoming and responsive. We must have texted him 100 times. He always responded with tips and suggestions to optimize our time on the island, and to make sure we were comfortable at the house and things were in working order. We arrived to a complimentary supply of delicious fruit, coffee and cinnamon. When we ran out we were able to purchase more from Tane who delivered fruit to our door almost daily at an excellent price for the island. Tane even delivered a brand new set of snorkel equipment to our door when we told him we were looking for some. Tane also accommodated a last minute change in our reservation when a tropical storm was forecast for the island. He refunded two days of our stay. The location was a bit more out of the way than we expected, perhaps in retrospect we would have opted for a spot on the water side of the highway, but this spot is unique and in a real, rural neighborhood. Ideal spot to access points both north and south, e.g. including 2-step, Captain Cook, Volcanoes Natl Park, Kona area. If you are a neat and clean freak, then this place is not for you. There was dirty clutter that I put out of view and out of the way upon arrival, and I had to clean the kitchen upon arrival. Dirty and very worn sponge in the sink, no mattress pad on the bed, felt the springs through the sheets, hair in the shower drain, bathroom sinks needed a scrubbing, old and dirty bars of soap, etc. Tane was very responsive in trying to get the wifi up to speed for us and paying for more gigabytes (or something like that). The wifi worked, but was often slow. It did not interfere with our stay because were were gone all day, but we could not stream movies from our laptop onto the TV at night as we had planned to do. If we had needed wifi to get work done while on vacation (not advisable of course! but sometimes necessary), the wifi would not have been sufficiently up to speed. In sum, best host you could ask for, unique and beautiful spot, roomy home, well equipped kitchen, but not for neat or clean freaks.

Comments: Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay at Tane's Owl's Nest property! Situated in the middle of a beautiful tropical farm, it was definitely the most unique place I have rented. Inside, there was more than enough room for us all; 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, huge kitchen, 2 lounging areas plus a big lanai overlooking nature for dining and hammocking. Furnishings and decor are pretty basic but very comfortable, clean and suited our family perfectly. Plenty of towels, coolers for the beach. Tane left us some coffee and cinnamon from his farm, and fruits and veggies too which were so marvelous. We explored the farm property and wandered up the road at sunset, marveling at the beauty and views and amazing plants and bird songs everywhere. There are other houses and farms nearby but the neighborhood is quiet and secluded. Unfortunately we never met Tane in person; the timing of our exploring and his work did not mesh. But he was very easy to communicate with and checked in with me to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Great snorkel spots and tourist points of interest are close by as is a grocery and places to eat, and Kona is only about a 15-20 minutes drive. If you are wanting for a unique experience in Hawaii this is definitely it!

Comments: We enjoyed our stay here, Tane was an amazing host. He provided us with a welcome basket of fresh fruit and vegetables, coffee and cinnamon grown on his farm, and was super communicative and helpful throughout our stay. They carried out a coffee harvest during our stay, so it was fun to see that and to get the chance to ask Tane a bunch of questions. The only thing to be aware of is that the house is pretty rustic (as you might expect on a farm) and a little more run down than we had been expecting. That being said, it is inline with the nightly rate, and the other aspects of our stay more than made up for this.

Comments: Very nice place, huge deck, good view, fully equipped kitchen. No morning alarm needed as chickens will make a call, and you can have a nice morning run on the quiet road. Host is very nice, fresh fruits and kona coffee on the table when you check in. Banana trees right outside of deck. The whole family enjoyed the stay at the place.

Comments: This property is high up the hill from Captain Cook. This makes it cooler at night, which is a big plus in my opinion. It's also inside a small working orchard/plantation, which is cool for the kids to check out. Watch out for spider webs when walking around the property. We ate several of the fruit grown there, including lovely passionfruit. The drive up the hill is a narrow one-lane road, which can be a little scary if unfamiliar. But once you get there it is great. The house is (AFAICT) two conjoined pre-fab houses, which makes the layout a bit strange but it doesn't matter: there are 3 large bedrooms and one small one, with lots of good beds (1 queen, 3 doubles, 1 single); one ensuite with shower and one bathroom. Lots of fans: in each bedroom, the kitchen and the lounge. A hammock and outdoor seating on the patio (although occasionally mosquito-y). Well equipped kitchen with gas stove, electric oven, toaster oven and microwave, cold/hot water dispenser and a large fridge. We used the Weber outside, which was functional. Also extra equipment like snorkelling masks/fins are provided. Laundry is underneath the house (not particularly easy to get to), but is functional. Good internet and a large TV which the kids liked. A really good location and a nice property, well worth it.

Comments: Beautiful location! Tane left us lovely organic fruit and vegetables and the best coffee - grown right on his farm!

  • Reviewer: Oliver

Comments: This is a lengthy review but I hope it will be useful. The house is very specious and really delivers the original coffee farm experience it promises. Nice for kids to roam around on. The complementary organic coffee, special ground organic cinnamon (omg it’s so good, we had to buy more of it) fruits and vegetables are a nice touch, and it’s also great that you can harvest your fresh organic papaya’s and avocados on the premises. Tane (the owner) seems like an awesome guy: he stopped by to say hello, gave us LOTS of great advice for beaches to go to, diners to try, etc. And he gave us a gift of tinctures he had made of passionflower and other herbs to try. The location is great geographically, about (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) feet above sea level, so it remains relatively cool throughout the day and no AC is needed. We also got some awesome tropical showers up there on the hill especially in the evenings, which never last long. Directions are a little tricky and the ones on the Airbnb page lead you to the wrong height and elevation on the road. Here’s the actual coordinates of the house (if Airbnb doesn’t censor them): (Website hidden by Airbnb) Not all paths (Hidden by Airbnb) suggests work, only the one that usually comes up as the default direction. Note also that it’s a little had to get to, especially with lower clearance vehicles. The roosters indeed wake you up as early as 5 am, so I’d recommend bringing a white noise maker (or using an app for your laptop/mobile device to do the same) if you want to sleep in and are bothered by it. I personally like it (as well as the orchestra of insect and frog chirps at night) but some in my family used white noise to sleep in. Now to the suboptimal parts. The place is really basic, i.e., there is not much in the way of luxury (which we didn’t expect and actually didn’t want), but it was also not very clean at least during our stay. The towels and linens and everything is clean (and there’s ample supply of those) but the floors/carpets and walls could use a complete overhaul. There are some areas where it’s just not acceptable, like the moldy walls in one of the bedrooms and the dirty walls and door in the kitchen. What was more problematic during our stay is there were mouse droppings in several area, which made my wife freak out a little because of our 6 month old was starting to crawl, etc. Other things: * The toilet in the master bedroom didn’t flush, so we had to take the tank of by hand and fill it with water, because with 7 people in the house we really needed both toilets. * The refrigerator door didn’t close and we had to keep it shut by moving a door in front of it every time. At least this one seems to be a longstanding...

Comments: Tane's place is magical! He was super communicative and open to our needs at all times. He left us delicious fruit and coffee right from his farm, and a list of places and things to see and do on the Big Island. He also answered any questions we had about the island each day happily. We had a fantastic time on our honeymoon and Tane went out of his way to make his place beautiful for us. Highly recommend visiting his little spot in paradise!

Comments: My family (parents and younger brother) intended to stay a few days at Tane's place in order to travel around the west side of the island. The location is nice and remote and not easy to find with conventional navigation systems, but Tane provided us with detailed directions that helped us finding the place. Upon arrival Tane greeted us along with a generous fruit basket, coffee and cinnamon all home-grown on his farm. Unfortunately I have to say that one of the first things we had to do upon our arrival was to clean the kitchen and several other places as apparently this was not properly done after the previous guests had left. While the beds were very comfortable and the bed wear and linen were very clean too, the overall lack of cleanliness of the place, along with the porch being under construction and the promised wifi not being available (which is tough since there is also no real phone reception), we decided to cut our stay short. From the five intended nights we decided to only stay for two. If you are looking for a nice, remote location to relax, with Kona, Ocean View or other nice sights on the west coast in easy driving distance, this is the perfect place for you. If you like your vacation home squeaky clean, it might not be the perfect place, although I'd like to give Tane the benefit of the doubt that the conditions we encountered are the exception, rather than the rule. Although we decided to cut our stay short, Tane was very professional and understanding in dealing with the situation and was a very kind host.

Comments: Wonderful off the beaten track place. We greatly enjoyed the beautiful ground, fresh fruits and vegetables and spacious house. Tane was very attentive host checking in to see if we had any trouble finding the place and checking up on us thru the week to see if we needed anything. We loved the lanai and ate dinner there every night and often used the hot tub after long days of adventure.

Comments: Tane was a wonderfully kind host, and his getaway up on the tropical farm oasis was exactly what I was looking for in a meditative retreat. Picking fresh oranges and papayas right from the front of the house was an experience I will never forgot--nor will I forget the beautiful orchestra of sounds during the evening and day. The geckos were fascinating to observe and share quarters with. Overall it was a truly magical experience for my first time on the Big Island. One note for you renters: if you're looking for a rustic place in a higher altitude with access to gorgeous nature, this is your place. It is not luxurious nor is it easily accessible on foot to the water or culture/people amenities down in Kona. Renting a car is necessary. But worthy of the adventure! Mahalo for your kindness, Tane, and talk to you again soon!

Comments: Pros: Big rambling spacious older house. Surrounded by all kinds of flora. Host is responsive and responsible. Cons: Funky. Chipped paint and broken tiles. Older curtains, mismatched silverware etc. Not for sensitive sleepers. Birds chirp, neighboring dogs bark, the water pump goes on and off all the time (whirr, whirr .... whirr, whirr ....)

Comments: Tane's place is an amazing respite from typical Hawaiian tourist fare. You are located up from the belt road, so it's a bit cooler, and bugs are not at all an issue. Embedded on an organic coffee farm, complete with orange and other fruit frees around, we expected to see our fair share of critters--but aside from an occasional mongoose and a couple of adorable geckos and chickens, not a pest in site. The place ranks on the farm house side. Its layout is incredible and feels a bit like three hales combined into one. Ceiling fans keep you cool, if needed. The kitchen is ample and Tane makes sure you have enough of everything (linens, paper products, water) so that you are completely self-sufficient. He supplied us with complimentary coffee, cinnamon (both amazingly good--we bought 2 more lbs of coffee), oranges, bananas, and strawberries upon arrival. Those items left for us were really the only evidence we had of Tane, who was not at all intrusive; however, he responded immediately on a couple of occasions, when needed (follow his dining advice--it is good). A silent but super hospitable and responsive host. Some other notes: You probably won't want to leave the screened lanai with hot tub (we didn't use the hot tub, mainly because we were fairly warm throughout our stay, but we thought about it every night); if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs to silence out the ubiquitous frogs who sing throughout the night; drive carefully along the narrow paved road to the property--most of the people living around are locals and also are farmers. On balance, Tane's place is "rustic elegant" and we were utterly charmed by it. We hope to return again some day. It is within short drives to coffee farms, tasty restaurants (definitely try the lobster cakes and poke at Fish Bowl), and snorkeling spots, but you don't have to deal with the hype of Kailua-Kona.

Comments: If you are looking to get a real taste of Hawai’i Island magic: this is your place. Organic farm loaded with fruits and veggies that Tane is more than gracious about sharing, along with a delicious bag of coffee grown on the farm... Needless to say the seclusion and altitude of the property provides an array of comforting weather and sounds of wildlife. Easy to find with provided directions, clean, comfortable; a home away from home. 10/10 recommend. Thank you, Tane!!

Comments: Beautiful location - felt like you were in a treehouse! Up in the hills so the only sounds were of frogs and birds and chickens etc- no city noises. A 20 mon drive to downtown Kona and 45 to the airport but only a few minutes from the grocery store and downtown captain cook. Does not have a microwave. Great lanai with a hot tub. Enjoyed eating meals listening to the rain and frogs. Pros: owner was very responsive and helpful. We appreciated the fresh fruit and coffee and cinnamon. Beautiful farm to explore. The cons: the place is not fancy and feels rather run down. It needs a big update (new carpet, redo bath room, and etc). (No mattress covers) If you are looking for something fancy this is not for you. If you are looking for something away from all the tourists, like farms or greenery, have a big group (and kids) this place is great. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an older family house that seems like a work in progress (some screens need to be replaced as well). There wasn’t anything wrong that limited our enjoyment but people should be aware that it is not fancy or modern.

Comments: This location is pretty large, can hold a bunch of people, and is set right in the jungle which was really amazing. The deck was great, we loved sitting there and listening to the birds, and there was a bunch of beach items like a cooler and snorkel mask and boogie boards which made things really great.

Comments: Tane's place was very spacious and holds a lot of people. it's not the Ritz, but it felt like home and the price was very reasonable. worked perfect seeing we weren't there very often, out catching the sites... I would stay there again if on that island in the future...

Comments: The Organic farm is a lush tropical paradise located up from Captain Cook. It is suggested that you travel the first time to the location in the daytime since it is almost jungle like to get there. The farm house is very causal, lived in with 4 bedrooms and a wonderful screened in porch. We spent almost all out family time on the porch eating our meals watching the sunset and listening the the most amazing frogs. The property is dense with fruit tress and we were allowed to pick oranges of different kinds, lemons and avocados. We enjoyed fruit smoothies everyday and waking up to the awesome sound of the roosters. The farm was an experience different from our other Hawaiian experiences we have had and we are glad we chose to make this place our refuge for our family vacation with our adult children.

Comments: The house has a lot of charm and character! The country feel was just what we all needed on our paradise get-a-way. You are tucked into trees and can't see your neighbors. We had a family of 5 and we were very well accommodated with pleanty of beds and large living space. The back deck is a special treat ... great for meals and playing board games. For those who are light sleepers... bring earplugs. There are bird noises at all hours. It wasn't a problem for us, some of us had ear plugs and some of us liked the nature noises and slept fine. Great location close to shopping, beaches and restaurants! Enjoy!!!!

Comments: Our stay at Tane’s House exceeded our expectations greatly. The house is amazing and very spacious with all the amenities you need including a full kitchen, linens, towels, tv and WiFi, a beautiful lanai and even a hot tub! We spent every meal outside in the lanai, and the beds were very soft for sleeping. Tane was an amazing and attentive host. The house is a bit difficult to find. We got lost trying to find the house at night, but Tane did everything he could to help us find the place so I highly commend him for that. To make our checkin even better, Tane left us fresh fruits and coffee samples in the house, which really shows he goes out of his way to make guests feel at home. I recommend anyone staying at his Airbnb stay 100%!

Comments: I thought this was a great property with enough room for all five of us. The farm was lovely and there were even goat, pig, and sheep visitors along the fence line daily.
