Comments: An amazing stay for anyone visiting the islands...especially for those visiting for Kalapana! 10/15 min walk right across the street from the venue. Tucked away in the hills, amazing view. Clean and tidy house! Very professional home owners, and nice too! Very accommodating. I would definitely recommend others to stay here!

Comments: Beautiful house with amazing views in a secluded area. Very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Natasha is a wonderful host and gave us a lot of tips on where to eat and visit. Highly recommend!

Comments: We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, spacious, and clean space. And Natasha was welcoming and most helpful with supporting our comfort. Having the constantly changing ocean/sky view made our time here relaxing and peaceful. As for the air quality here in this part of the island… this is Kalapana after all!

Comments: Staying here was a truly awesome experience. Best described as sensory illumination :) There was such a great energy here. Natasha is an awesome, considerate host. She went out of her way to make sure all my needs were met. Upon arrival , she reviewed a helpful handwritten guide ( loved it ) of the local offerings and was available as needed throughout the stay. She is a kind, sincere and genuine. Personal yoga instructors and massage therapists are available in the area. The location is peaceful and serene. No traffic noise . The first morning upon awakening, I could see the sunrise w/ a whale in the distance from both the bed or deck !!!The night sky was full of stars. The studio was very clean and well equipped with small type kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub and great internet access. Ten minutes away is Pahoa is the closest town about 10 min ? has with a variety of restaurants, shops and nice health food grocery store. Also nearby is a coastal road that hugs the ocean..new Black sands beach is a short 10 min drive and easy walk. I would recommend staying here without reservation. If you are looking to escape the commercial areas for more serenity, nature, artists etc., this is the perfect place. I met so many lovely people in and around this area that will be friends for life. I hope to return again one day ! Aloha Nui Loa ~~

Comments: Natasha welcomed us with so much Aloha right from the start! The room was spacious, clean, inviting and private. The view of the ocean from the room is so beautiful and we were minutes from the Outer Space market and Kehena Beach. We highly recommend staying here and when we are in the area we will stay here again! Mahalo Natasha - see you next time!

Comments: We were looking for a place to stay in Puna area after visiting Ahalanui hot pond. Her house was in the perfect location for us, which was very close to where Route 130 (Pahoa-Kalapana Road) and Route 137 (Kalapana-Kapoho Road) met. From Ahalanui hot pond, we drove Kalapana-Kapoho Road to get to her house, and we were pleasantly surprised to find it out to be such a picturesque scenic road!! It is a MUST experience if you are in that area. Upon arrival, we had a very warm greeting from her, followed by a great information around that area with a map. Everything was new and clean, and we loved the décor of lotus theme. Nice bathroom and mini kitchen in the room with a separate entrance. Mahalo, Natasha, for having us, and good luck to your 3rd unit!

Comments: We had an incredible stay at the Hoku Suite! It is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and has classy fresh appointments. It is a prime location nestled up in the hills above kalapana. The views are expansive, and it is perfectly oriented to catch sunrise from bed, or outside on the deck. Natasha is an amazing host, and you can tell a lot of intention has gone into setting up the space to be comfortable, private and easy. This is a really good deal for how nice this space is. I would definitely stay again in the future, and I hope i get to sooner than later. Kalpana is beautiful, and the lava fields are some potent medicine, highly recommended. Mahalo Natasha!

Comments: Natasha's place is amazing! You can see the ocean from your bed, the space is peaceful, and it's a great way to get away from the city. Stargazing at night was great, the lanai is huge, and Natasha was a welcoming and responsive host. The place has everything you need - coffee maker, dishes and utensils, great bathroom. She keeps the place very clean, and it was overall a great experience!

Comments: Natasha created truly a 'Lotus Dream'. The front balcony looks like a Yoga Retreat and overlooks the ocean. Natasha was amazing and helped navigate us to her place via phone. Natasha provided in great detail instructions to her place and was accessible when we needed the extra help. The room inside is pristine and nothing short of a 5 star resort. You can tell the amount of thought she put into creating paradise. All the rooms have a private bathroom, refrigerator and dish ware. Natasha provided a listing of the local area and events to attend and was incredibly inviting. We wish we were able to stay longer and are intent on returning!! Prior to us leaving, Natasha was doing Yoga in her studio right next to the rooms, which is a 4 walled loft with an open frame which provides a 360 view. If you are looking for a private, elegant, place to stay I HIGHLY recomend staying with Natasha.

Comments: Absolutely wonderful! A true gem on the Big Island. Well worth the drive to its more remote location -- next time we'll plan to stay here multiple nights while exploring the southern shores of Hawaii. With her enthusiastic responses before our arrival and her inviting "Aloha" welcome, we felt immediately at home. The room itself is charmingly appointed, with subtle attention to details, especially in the shower, bathroom, and closet; the scenic balcony is perfect for breakfast or dinner, soaking in the tranquility, sounds, aromas, and sights of the surrounding trees, as well as the ocean view; the yoga pavilion (for exercising, too) made our early morning start of the day exhilarating! The Hoku Suite wins the best room award for our trip to Hawaii.

Comments: Natasha was really friendly, communicated well, and knew a lot about the area. This place has some amazing views (especially of the moon rising) and the room is really cozy and relaxing. It's a very peaceful retreat and a perfect hub for exploring the east side of the island. Highly recommended!

Comments: Natasha was a great host, very friendly. She gave me valuable suggestions what to do in Puna. The apartment is perfect, very spacious with a nice bathroom. The location is great too, just nature around you.

Comments: The description of the BNB was accurate. Natasha welcomed us although we arrived late at night. We appreciated this. It was a quiet location. The room was clean. Nice view.

  • Reviewer: Megha

Comments: Natasha was very communicative during our stay. The first thing we noticed was that our room was very clean and she provided us with towels and beach towels. Natasha provided us with an extensive map of the area and gave us excellent tips about tide pools and beaches to go to and other activities in the area. As far as the suite is concerned, it is in a perfect setting with ocean views and surrounded by forest, and has all the provisions. It has best of the both worlds. This is the perfect kind of place to experience serenity with all the modern amenities.

Comments: Natasha's place was lovely. When we arrived, Natasha showed us the room we ha booked and another that was free in case we wanted to pick that one instead, which we did! Natasha gave us a cute map of the area and showed us heaps of things to do and secret spots along the red road, which was awesome. The place itself is lovely, and very scenic. We had a hire car while we were on the Big Island which made it really easy to get around. Everything was clean and spacious, and the king bed was so comfortable! Thanks again for having us, Natasha!

Comments: A great experience! Natashas cozy retreat is secluded, quiet and very inspiring. At night, you hear the animals around you giving a private concert and the waves gently lulling you to sleep. The room is tastefully arranged and spotlessly clean. Very quiet. Natasha has been the greatest host. A heartwarming welcome and lots of good recommendations for the area. Highly recommended. Thank you Natasha.

Comments: Natasha is an excellent communcator. She is a super sweetheart and I wish I had more time to chat with her. She was accommodating when it came to arrival time. I enjoyed our stay and wished we had more than 3 days to spare. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the room is exactly as pictured. I originally booked the Hoku room but since we were the only guest she gave us an option to choose after showing us the difference. The next time we are in the big Island we will definitely stay again!

Comments: Natasha's the best AirBnB host I've ever had and her space is the best I've stayed in; due to the combination of price, location, amenities, and native authenticity. Natasha welcomed us the night we arrived, staying up and extending her check-in deadline by a few minutes - as we drove in from Kona. She showed us multiple rooms and gave us freedom to choose. She was always available via text/call, otherwise not seen or heard - so it felt like we had this piece of paradise to ourselves. The room was perfectly accommodating and the off-grid elements were charming without compromising convenience/comfort. Sunrises are spectacular, evenings are quiet with a mild and relaxing chorus of animal life. We loved our mornings on the hammock, followed by yoga in her open air yoga structure, and quick trips to Uncle Robert's for acai bowls and smoothies and walks to the ocean on the cooled lava coast. Ask about the local black sand beach, and make sure to drive South on 130 onto the cooled lava and go as far as your comfort will allow and drive North into Pahoa (and pick up a hitchhiker) to explore the town. Hilo is less than an hour away and well worth the drive. Explore and enjoy!

Comments: Reasons to stay Natasha? The view. The serenity. The gentle welcome. All is at appears in the photos and you will love the sunrise. Natasha responded to all inquiries and welcomed me in by carrying my luggage up the stairs like it was suitcase of air. I was very happy with my stay.

Comments: A peaceful and nice place to stay if you wish to relax and enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean. Clean room and good facilities. We enjoyed the open yoga room (for work out, though) and the terrace. It is located a bit remote, you need to drive around fifteen minutes to the closest (small) town, Pahoa. Bring earplugs if noisy frogs disturb your sleep. Natasha met us upon arrival and gave some good advice.

Comments: We had such a great time staying at this place. This is our second time to visit the Big Island. We wanted to stay somewhere close to the ocean and quite place. It was perfect for us. Amazing view and close to the ocean. We had a bit difficulty finding the place because we arrive during the night time. We called Natasha. She helped us to find the place. Thank you,

Comments: On arriving, I was confused about the road to turn on since it doesn't look like a standard road for a mainlander, but as long as you turn in and see the Noni plant you're doing good. that being said, this place is FANTASTIC. I had such a beautiful time even though I stayed for one night. The studio is gorgeous and comes with all the kitchen items you may need to cook. The outdoor yoga studio is great... Views from that, the balcony and hammock overlooking the ocean is absolutely incredible. Natasha kept open communication and allowed me to keep my luggage at her place after check out so I wouldn't need to keep all my stuff in my car while visiting the beach. She was incredible, the property was great and the studio was amazing. Can't say enough good stuff about this little gem in the jungle.

Comments: Natasha's space is absolutely beautiful. It was the peaceful retreat I needed. The views are outstanding, and the porch is a very relaxing place to sit and contemplate life. Natasha is also a lovely host who is most welcoming and hospitable.

Comments: Fantastic!! Location, ambiance, clean, comfortable and Natasha is a great host! Can't wait to stay a few days next time!

  • Reviewer: Ivana

Comments: Warmly and friendly welcome from Natasha. We enjoyed the very calm and nature place very much! Nice and very clean room with an amazing ocean view. The farmers market was an extra tip from Natasha and we enjoyed good and cheap food and drinks. Next shops and restaurants are aprox. 15 min away. The room is well equiped with kitchen things.

  • Reviewer: Michael

Comments: The room and setting were even more beautiful than the photographs. Natasha is a perfect and very helpful host. Our room and the bathroom are only a couple of years old and Natasha keeps the place spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable. Maybe we were just tired, but my wife and I slept soundly until 8:30 in the morning! There was small collection of tea in our room to make a morning brew. There's also a coffee maker but unfortunately we didn't bring any coffee with us and we didn't find any in the room. Pahoa is the closest place to buy any food or drinks, so I suggest stocking up in Hilo or Pahoa before arriving if you'd like some food on hand. There's a small fridge, bar sink and hot plate in the room.

Comments: Thanks to Natasha we could explore the Kalapana area while staying in a very tidy, calm, peaceful and yet central appartment. If you need some time off from the busy life, this is were you should go. Once Pele is a alife again, you will also be close to the area where lava is flowing into the ocean and forming new earth. Natasha also provided us with first hand information and a map about the local attractions and areas to explore. Thanks again for the nice stay Natasha!

Comments: Clean, comfortable, spacious and beautiful place to stay. Natasha is a lovely host!

  • Reviewer: Joyce

Comments: This place is awesome, as is Natasha! The place looks EXACTLY like the pic's and unlike other places to stay in Kalapana for viewing the lava, she doesn't charge a cleaning fee or security deposit. It's a super quiet, "off the grid" location, although wi-fi is available. We had trouble connecting to the wi-fi, however, we used our 4G with Verizon to post our pic's of the lava viewing so it was fine. You can't go wrong with this place as the ocean view is spectacular and the room is fabulous. The coqui frogs songs throughout the evening were a nice addition as I love their songs to their tribes. LOL

Comments: Definitely book this place if you want a great location, hostess, an ocean view and solitude. It's an awesome place and I highly recommend it!

  • Reviewer: Ulf

Comments: Natasha made us feel very welcome in her secluded get-away. It was just as promised and Natasha even upgraded us to a bigger accommodation. The house is on an idyllic farm in Kalapana, close to the current lava flow, some nice beaches, and good hiking. I can highly recommend it.

Comments: Natasha's place was super quiet and pleasant. We could see the steam plume from the lava ocean entry point (5 miles to the SE) from her balcony which was really a treat. The king-sized bed was fantastic and the room, spacious and cozy. The elevation was just above sea level which made for very pleasant temperatures. The koki frogs sang us to sleep but weren't too noisy. Pahoa town is nice and close as is chill kalapana village. Great stay and would stay again.

Comments: This is a truly special spot on the big island of Hawaii. Everything about Natasha's place was great - the bed was amazingly comfortable, the bathroom was completely renovated and very clean, the room was spacious, the view was amazing and the hammock was dangerously comfortable - we almost didn't leave the deck! Natasha also made check in super easy and took the time to give us fabulous recommendations for things to do, places to eat and sites to see.

  • Reviewer: Todd

Comments: Natasha's place was a wonderful stay and her rate is quite fair. Nice and clean and all the basics are there. The only "wish it was different" was that the bar sink was so small that washing dishes was definitely a monk-like exercise. Every thing was clean and nicely decorated. The place is well cared for and it shows. We felt welcome and comfortable. We loved the little frog and lizard that hang out under the lights on the porch.

  • Reviewer: Shirin

Comments: Our stay at Natasha's worked well for our visit to see the Kalapana lava flow by foot and sea, as well as visit Volcano National park for a few day hikes. The location is ideal if these activities are on your itinerary!

Comments: Its difficult to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay at Christine's place ... We loved the location and lucked out on enjoying the facility by ourselves ... There were a few issues associated with the fact that the amenities are off grid but Christine and her team went out of her way to make our stay great and it was! Our time there went past so quickly and We are sure we will be back. Best wishes from Roger and Anne-Mieke in New Zealand

Comments: This place is amazing! We felt like home - or even we wish this property would be our home. The quality of all material, of all appliances is outstanding. All products offered are organic. We could see the love that was put into building the whole property. We stayed in the cabin but were allowed to use the main house, too, which we did from time to time and it is more than what anybody could expect. We would love to come back. It was definitely our best airbnb in Hawaii.
