Comments: Tomoko is a really friendly, welcoming host who was kind enough to accept my last-minute reservations when my plans with another Airbnb listing fell through. Even though she is extremely busy, she is lightning fast in responding to messages. The apartment itself is centrally located, with Waikiki shops just a short walk away and a bus stop right around the corner.

Comments: I loved staying at Tomoko's House. The room was great with fresh sheets and towels. The place was clean and I got to meet interesting women from around the world. The location was amazing! In the middle of Waikiki I was 4 blocks from the beach. It was also close to 2 ABC stores, 24 hour Denny's and Ihop and groceries. We got to go salsa dancing which was a blast! Also, the bus is easy to catch from there, and there is a ton of shopping nearby. Tomoko was a great host!

Comments: The location of the flat is extremely convenient, with 5 mins' walk to Waikiki beach and Kalakala avenue. I got a separate room which is very sweet. and all the other tenants are so friendly. Three of us shared a bathroom but there was no problem sharing it. Tomoko was very accommodating, always replying my message speedily. I've a couple of itinerary changes before arrival and she was very patient to deal with my questions. She also provided two big towels for me to use which is very sweet. Though the overall cleanness can be improved, this was a great stay within my budget and I will choose to stay in Tomoko's apartment again if I go to Hawaii next time.

Comments: Location, location, location! This room is centrally located in Wakiki! Total walk-ability (if you don't plan on renting a car) and near buses/Ubers/taxis that can get you all over Honolulu. The host Tomoko, was extremely kind and welcoming! This is a room share so I would recommend to travelers who only need a place to sleep and shower. However I will say that the cleanliness left much to be desired. I did see quite a few roaches during my stay; which would be my only real complaint. If you just need a place to sleep and shower then you can't beat this deal in terms of location and price!

Comments: I've never me Tomoko in person. She's very rude, asking for more side cash before I even check in. I told her I might be bringing my daughter to sleep over, and she started asking for more money and very unprofessional. She did not let me check in but she charged me for the two nights plus cleaning deposit which I never used or never make it at her tiny place since she won't let me with my daughter. I filed a report to Airbnb and told them to review all her texted that she sent to me and they found that it was very rude , unprofessional , inhumanity message. Worst worst host ever! It's all about the money for her. Makes my stomach upset

Comments: Tomoko is a nice host. My flight was delayed for couple hours on arrival date and changed several times. Tomoko was patient and flexible to adjust check-in time for me. The best of this place is the location, in central of Waikiki area and nearby many bus stations. The space is clean but no air condition. It is good option if you want to find a place with reasonable price to stay in Waikiki.

Comments: The place was simple but equipped with everything one may need (even with a surf board!). I stayed 11 daya and had a really good time and place's location (in the middle of waikiki) helped this a lot.. I can not say anything negative about the place. I got what I was promised.

Comments: I stayed in Hawaii for 3 weeks with Tomoko as my host, and it was the ideal experience for me. She greeted me with a hug upon arrival, gave me a key, explained a few rules about using your own toilet paper and dusting sand off outside, and that was it. I had 1-3 roomies (all of them from different countries like Japan, China, Taiwan, and Brazil) at any given time as people shipped in and out, and this is one way I made friends during my stay. :) Everyone was respectful and friendly, always saying "hello" if not having a full-out chat session. For a highly reasonable price per day, I had a sectioned-off, semi-private space with a bed, a window, shelving, bath and beach towels, a small closet space (which was more than I needed), access to a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, a bathroom with a shower, washers and dryers downstairs (costs $1.25 in quarters), and even snorkel gear left behind by previous guests. I was a 10-minute stroll from the grocery store (Food Pantry), a less-than-10-minute stroll from Waikiki Beach, and a 15-minute jog from Ala Moana Beach Park. Altogether, it was a wonderful, chill "temporary home life." If you don't mind sharing a small apartment, if you are open to intercultural experiences, and if you abhor spending so much money on hotels and want to stay in Hawaii longer, this is for you. ;) Aloha!

Comments: Really enjoyed the stay at Tomoko's place! Tomoko is a very friendly host, whom you can reach out for if you have any questions. She has all the basic stuff needed for your stay which can be much appreciated especially with this cost. Great access to main part of Waikiki so you can walk to just about anywhere. And I enjoyed the conversation with other girls in the house too:) Next time, I'd definitely come to Tomoko's place for a longer vacation. ワイキキに住んでいるかのように過ごせる場所です。日本語で対応してくれるので、日本の方も安心してステイできると思います。

Comments: Tomoko was pleasant and the space seemed as pictured. I was looking for a place at a reasonably cheap price *honestly* also reasonably clean/ethically exterminated. I did rent for a reasonable inexpensive price, with Tomoko, which helped keep travel cost low in Waikiki, while travelling solo. So here is honesty, while I was there for 2 weeks; I experienced a considerable amount of roaches, bathroom mold, and poor air circulation and barely bearable heat. Also, I was falsely accused of smoking "weed". Because of the poor air circulation and uncomfortable night sweats for the first four days of my vacation, I became extremely sick for 3-days of my trip. I stayed in for a day to get better with cold meds and Gay Hulu, when that's when she started text harassing me with the weed accusation. She apologized, which was gratifying, but it was still a pointless frustration, as I was super sick and in no way in the mood to feel the harassment and insecurity of my stay in that dump *seriously, I hate to say that about a roof over my head, but really there were curtains up, as space/bed dividers*. Don't get me wrong, I think Tomoko is a great person. I just feel that there could be better management. Like, maybe, a) having cleaners come in once a week to clean the apartments; since there is such high traffic with people moving in and out. b) Labelling and dating food/throwing out/composing old food *there was smell* c) deep cleaning the bathrooms/curtains once a month d) and PLEASE have some form of air circulation; a FAN... was so helpful once received. Finally, I will say, my first week I met some of the most fantastic ladies who would will be my friends forever and I would have never had that experience if I had not rented space with Tomoko. Maholo! Aloha!

Comments: I had a great stay in Waikiki with Tomoko. The location is near shops and beach. The bed was comfy, I had my own space and best of all there was great wifi. I was travelling by myself and felt safe. Tomoko is also very good to communicate before and during your stay and I had no problems at arrival and/or check out.

Comments: Tomoko was very welcoming into her place. She was very sweet and kind. Honestly, there's nothing that could have been improved. She even let me keep my suitcase at her place until my flight at 11pm so I wouldn't have to lug it around Hawaii.

Comments: This place is rather old, as Tomoko rents many apartments (10?) for her business. The price is good, if you don't mind the luxury and hot sweaty rooms. Tomoko has a tendency to make you book the rooms, even though she rents so many apartments with so many beds

Comments: Super cost performance!!! Even though the kitchen and bathroom are a shared space with others, was impressed with the hotel level cleanliness, especially the bathroom. Location is also super convenient, close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. It’s a good base to meet up with tours that start from nearby much more expensive hotels. I didn’t understand until I got there, but “White” designates the room within the apartment. As stated in the ad, “White” is quite small, there’s a twin bed, a small space next it, a book shelf, a power outlet and a bar with hangers for clothes. The windows are not sound proof, they are light slats that can be open and closed. On Friday and Saturday night, could hear people coming back from the bars late at night, ear plugs recommended for light sleepers. I stayed in January, so the temperature at night is comfortable, summer months might get hot at night. Overall 5 stars! Would stay again!

Comments: Tomoko's house was clean and well equipped in the communal areas. The room is small (as per the description) but light and airy. Although the louvres are nice during the day, it does allow light and noise from the street into the room at night. I slept well but others may not. However, it is good value for money - very close to public transport and a short walk to Waikiki beach, restaurants and bars. I would stay here again
