Neighborhood Overview: A cozy neighborhood and the bohemian enclave of the city with its bars, taverns and venues packed by samba, choro and MPB. In the early twentieth century, its narrow streets seethed with a mix of bohemian, trickery and intelligentsia. Many painters, poets, journalists, musicians, soccer players born in Lapa well as in the 30s, Noel Rosa and Madame Satan became great referential phenomena.
