  Comments: Our host made a point of being there to meet us and show us the ropes; the apartment is beautiful, spacious and quiet and the bed was very comfy! The house looks unimpressive on the outside like most in the neighborhood, but inside it all appears to be newly rehabbed with all new appliances, skylights, and tasteful furnishings. We know this neighborhood from visiting family here. It's a great combination of mixed ethnicities, parks closeby and you feel safe on the streets. there are an ever-increasing number of cool restaurants and great coffee shops nearby. The subway is a 5 minute walk and you can easily hop up to Park Slope or get to Manhattan. We would love to stay here again!

  Comments: I would like to thank Steve and his wife, Anna, for making their place available during my trip to New York on business. The location was ideal for me and the fact that there was parking easily available during my stay, made the whole venture less stressful. The apartment was as advertised and the pictures of their place show exactly what was there. I would definitely stay there again and hope to again soon.   Comments: Steve and his wife were wonderful hosts! My parents and mother-in-law stayed at the apartment and had lots of wonderful things to say about it. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious. Steve was great at communication throughout the entire visit and very accommodating with the key exchange. We live around the corner so it was super convenient. We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone staying in Windsor Terrace or others who want a relaxing apartment to come back to while visiting the city.

  Comments: I made this reservation for my parents, who are seniors. They loved the large space (actually larger than the photos make it look, even) and complete privacy. Steve and his family were warm and helpful. The place was clean, newly renovated and beautiful - really a great spot at a reasonable price. The neighborhood is manageable with coffee shops and restaurants just half a block away. I highly recommend this apartment.

  Comments: After a great welcome we going up into our beautiful apartment. It looks real like the pictures per 100%. All what you need is there without anything that will be missing. The Position is perfect for people they will be 5+ days in New York. To Manhattan you drive with the Local Train F 20-30 Minutes (like the place you will see)The Train Station is nearly of the apartment, you have to go only 5-7 minutes. A big supermarket with the Name Foodtown you can arrived in 10 minutes. Bars and Restaurants are 2-3 minutes away. The prospectpark is good for do some Sports. When you run you need 5 minutes, you will walk, than you be there in 15 minutes. Anna and Steve are very great and help us with Informations for the Electro devices like TV or the dishwasher and of we need help to find the right way in a simple english, because our english isn't very well. Nach einem sehr netten Empfang, bezogen wir die wirklich schön eingerichtete Wohnung. Entspricht den Bildern zu 100%! Alles was man braucht ist hier und es fehlte uns an nichts. Die Lage ist super für Personen die 5+ Tage hier sind. Bis nach Manhatten fährt man mit dem F Zug ca. 20-30 Minuten (je nach Zielort). Die Haltestelle ist 5-7 Minuten zu Fuß vom Haus entfernt. Zum einkaufen ist der Foodtown Markt in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Bars und kleine Restaurants sind in 2-3 Minuten zu erreichen. Der Park zum joggen ist von der Haustüre ca. 5-15 Minuten entfernt. Anna und Steve sind tolle Gastgeber und es gab nie ein Problem. Auch bei Fragen nach dem Weg oder Bedienungen der Elektrogegenstände (TV, Spülmaschine) konnte uns auch mit eher mittelmäßigen Englischkenntnissen verständlich gemacht werden, wo es in die richtige Richtung geht, bzw. wie die Bedienbarkeit zu händeln ist.

  Comments: This was a touring vacation with our two grandsons. The apartment had more than enough space for all of us including so many amenities as described. Steve and his wife were more than accommodating. The apartment is a couple of blocks from the subway, and about a 20 minute ride into Manhattan. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient to restaurants and a grocery store. My husband and I will most assuredly stay at this apartment again. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would, without doubt, score this apartment at 10.

  Comments: Cet appartement était idéal pour nous durant notre séjour de 7 jours à NY en famille (deux adultes et deux ados). Il y avait une canicule et nous étions ravis de pouvoir compter sur l'air climatisé dans chacune des pièces. L'appartement est propre, joliment décoré, aéré, bien équipé, et bien illuminé. Le quartier est adjacent à Park Slope et à Prospect Park. C'est très calme, paisible, résidentiel et sécuritaire. Il y a un super café (Steeplechase coffee) et un traiteur (Brancaccio's) à un coin de rue de l'appartement, ce qui est très pratique pour le déjeuner et le dîner au retour des longues journées de marche à Brooklyn et à Manhattan. La ligne F qui est à 4 minutes de marche nous transportait au coeur de Manhattan quotidiennement alors que la ligne G nous a permis d'explorer les quartiers branchés de Brooklyn. Steve et sa conjointe ont été à la fois très accueillants et discrets tout au long de notre séjour. Le choix de lecture qui était à notre disposition nous a donné un sentiment d'être chez-soi. Si la façade extérieure ne paye pas de mine, il ne faut pas s'y arrêter car une fois à l'intérieur, c'est un petit havre de paix idéal pour décompresser en fin de journée. A great place with wonderfully welcoming yet discreet owners. Clean, beautiful, lots of natural light, comfortable, design conscious yet humble appartement in quiet, residential and safe area. We discovered a new neighborhood adjacent to trendy Park Slope and Prospect Park, the F and G lines (perfect for getting to the heart of Manhattan without transfers or for discovering trendy neighborhoods in Brooklyn). Air conditioned, great choice of reading material, well equipped, a corner way from fairtrade Steeplechase coffee and Brancaccio's take out meals. We have only great things to say about this place.   Comments: What more can I say! Steve and Anna were the perfect hosts. So friendly and there when you need them yet always allowing for your privacy. The apartment is incredibly beautiful! Spotlessly clean and well equipped for any length of stay. Steve had so many great recommendations for local restaurants and the best ways to get around and both he and Anna were only ever a phone call or text message away. Everything that you could ever want in accommodation is right here. My stay was absolutely perfect and my friend and I cannot wait to visit New York again! We are absolutely in love with Brooklyn and highly recommend staying at Steve and Anna's. The apartment is close to the F Line of the Subway which takes you directly to all main attractions like Coney Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Rockefeller centre and more. It is no more than a 4 minute walk from the apartment itself and the streets around this area are all tree-lined with local parks and convenience stores also a mere 2 minute walk down the street. If I could give any advice to anyone else who is interested in seeing New York it would be to stay in Brooklyn and visit Steve and Anna's. The neighbourhood is safe, close to everything yet far enough from the city to come 'home' and relax after all the adventuring around New York.   Comments: Carole, Bruno, Alexiane et Pierre - juillet 2015 Notre séjour à New York a été formidable. L'appartement de Steve est conforme à la description et aux photos. Très agréable, fonctionnel et très bien équipé (climatisation, machine à laver le linge et la vaisselle). Il est parfaitement situé à moins de 5 minutes à pieds du métro, sur la ligne F qui dessert tout Manhattan et d'un supermarché. L'accueil de Steve a été très agréable. Nous n'avons pas eu à faire appel à lui durant notre séjour car tout avait été parfaitement prévu et expliqué. Merci à Steve et sa famille. Le quartier est très sûr et calme après une journée dans le tumulte de la ville.

  Comments: We couldn't be more pleased with our experience. We came to Brooklyn to visit our daughter and grandchildren. Steve made us feel welcome upon arrival and supplied us with everything we needed. A book on the coffee table showed us many places to eat, how to get around, places to visit in NYC. The apartment was comfortable and roomy with beautiful and interesting decor-a mix of new and mid-century. The neighborhood is pleasant with a few coffee shops, restaurants, and yoga nearby and steps to beautiful Prospect Park where we spent most of the time playing with our grandchildren. The F train to Manhattan is near (not too long a walk for us) and we took the subway a few times. We had our daughters car for our stay and had trouble parking only one night when we came back late. Otherwise parking was easy in the neighborhood. Overall our stay couldn't have been better and we definitely would stay at Steve's again!

  Comments: Steve's apartment was so wonderful. We decided to stay in Brooklyn to experience both the quiet side and the hustle and bustle of New York. We were also here to get married at City Hall. The apartment provided a great setting, especially on the day of the wedding as the rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The local Subway station, Fort Hamilton Parkway (F line - straight to Manhattan) is only a five minute walk away through a very nice neighbourhood, which includes a nice independent coffee shop, a great pizza restaurant and a small convenient store that doubles as a deli. Food Town, a large supermarket with excellent produce is approximately ten minutes walk. Steve was very helpful and flexible with check-in and check-out and communication was quick via the Air B&B app. There was an informative welcome pack and a complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival. Also provided was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, large HD television with HD cable box (there was always lots of films to watch with the ability to restart the programme if you happened to walk in halfway through the feature), a small Bluetooth speaker, microwave, central heating and air-conditioning. We whole heartedly recommend this apartment. We had such a wonderful week in New York which was made particularly special staying in this lovely apartment. With any luck we will stay here next year on our anniversary.

  Comments: Sehr gute Unterkunft auch für einen längeren New York Besuch. Die Wohnung entsprach voll den Beschreibungen, war vollständig ausgestattet und hat gerade in den Schafräumen großzügigen Platz für eine Familie geboten. Sowohl die Seitenstraße, in der die Wohnung liegt, wie auch im Haus war es immer ruhig. Die nächste U-Bahn Station ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen und bietet eine direkte Verbindung ins Zentrum von Manhattan. Der Vermieter wohnt mit seiner Familie auch in dem Haus und steht bei Fragen gerne zur Verfügung. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

It was very easy getting together with them every day. Here's what they had to say: The apartment was stylish, comfortable, and well located to several amenities including restaurants and the subway. The bedrooms were quite large so both couples staying had a lot of room and privacy. Anna and Steve were very welcoming and made clear that we could contact them if we needed anything, but the apartment was so well appointed and the arrangement so easy that we never felt the need. We really enjoyed our stay!

  Comments: Our experience staying in Steve and Anna's Brooklyn flat was wonderful in every way. They were great hosts and provided excellent communication at every step of the way. They left us a nice "welcome" box with water, tea, coffee and snacks, and a printed guide on using the flat, as well as navigation tips and delivery menus for local restaurants. On top of that, Steve was super-flexible in accommodating our less-than-optimal travel schedules to make our stay and travel plans more convenient. He met me in person to check in very early in the morning after a red-eye flight, and my friend and I were able to check out late on the day of our flights out of NYC. The flat itself was spacious, super-clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked with essentials including a fitted-out kitchen with dishwasher and a washer/dryer combo that came in useful. I was not at all familiar with the Windsor Terrace neighborhood before our stay, but it is a nice, safe and easily accessible neighborhood within walking distance of Park Slope and Prospect Park. It was a very quick 5-minute walk to the F and G line subway station, which we used frequently to make trips into Manhattan and other areas of Brooklyn. We also enjoyed trying a few of the local food options, including Hamilton's, which had good burgers and craft beers. This was a great AirBnB experience, and I'll definitely be staying at Steve and Anna's flat again the next time I'm in town.

  Comments: It was me and five other ladies staying in Steve's apartment and we all really loved it. There was more than enough space for all of us, and the apartment had everything we could possibly need. The rooms were bright and spacious, the beds extremely comfortable for a good night's rest after a long day of exploring New York. The kitchen is well-equipped, which was really important to us -- we made breakfast at home every morning and enjoyed it in the lovely breakfast nook by the kitchen window. We loved the neighbourhood as well. It was always quiet and felt super safe, even when we were coming home late at night. The subway is just a short walk away and so was the convenience store and supermarket. Steve is an incredible host. He really went above and beyond to make things easy for us and to make our stay an enjoyable one. We really could not be more thankful for all his help and generosity. We hope we can stay again soon. :)

  Comments: We had such a wonderful time at Steven' s place. We were four girls staying there, from France ( Paris). Everything was absolutely perfect. Steven is a very kind host, helpful. The house is sweet, very comfortable, bright, clean, exactly as showed on the pictures. The area is quiet and safe. Around, there is a big supermarket and some nice restaurants( we particularly liked a Thaï one). The location is great. Only 5 minutes away from the tube station. There, you take the F line to go to Manhattan. Very easy. We highly recommand this fantastic place. Don't hesitate to book here. Thanks a million to Steven. For sure, if we have the opportunity to go back to NYC, we will stay again at Steven's place.

  Comments: Notre séjour chez Steve de 10 jours au mois de Mai 2016 a été parfait, c'est un hote très chaleureux et vraiment agréable. L'appartement qui se trouve au 1er étage dans la maison familiale de Steve est vraiment génial pour une famille, nous étions 5 et Steve nous a fourni un matelas pour notre fille de 9 ans. L'appartement correspond vraiment aux photos faites par le photographe Airbnb, il y a 2 grandes chambres, une cuisine équipée, un coin repas très agréable pour le petit déjeuner ou en fin de journée pour manger et discuter de la journée passée, une salle de bain spacieuse, une connexion internet très rapide, etc.. Le quartier est très calme, il y a un supermarché à 100 mètres, une très bonne pizzeria a l'angle de la rue et la station de métro la plus proche se trouve à 5 minutes (Fort Hamilton ou Church St), où le métro vous emmènera à Time Square en 40 minutes. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Merci Steve.

  Comments: Steve heeft ons op het afgesproken tijdstip welkom geheten. Hij heeft ons een korte rondleiding in zijn appartement gegeven. Steve is een zeer vriendelijke jonge man met gevoel voor gastheerschap. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien, zelfs met een haardroger! De ruimtes waren schoon, er werd voor onze komst goed gelucht. Het is een rustig straatje met heerlijke bomen. De subway was op 5 minuten en winkels voor dagelijkse boodschappen waren op 20 minuten loopafstand. Goede prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Een adres om te onthouden. Een appartement waar wij gasten konden ontvangen en waar wij ons meteen thuis voelden.

  Comments: Steve and his family were so incredibly welcoming and kind, and accommodated our every need (even unreasonable ones, ha ha.) The space is extremely well laid-out, and a toddler was able to sleep soundly while adults were awake in the living room (and vice-versa). The bedrooms were large, the beds were comfy, the kitchen and living room were perfect for our family of 2 grandparents, an adult, and a 2-year-old. Despite visiting in the sticky heat of NYC's summer, it was cool, quiet, private, and comfortable. We loved the beautiful, minimalist design sensibility. The neighborhood is great--super close walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, take-away spots, and more. Ample street parking and very very close to trains and buses. We stayed in the apartment for a month and loved our entire experience. Our space always felt very private but when we'd run into Steve and his family coming in and out they were always so friendly, helpful, kind, and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend without hesitation, especially for families.

  Comments: I am writing this review on behalf of myself, my partner and best friend. Although our flight was severely delayed in arriving, Steve met us with a warm welcome, beers were cold in the fridge and even a local late night take away menu in case we were hungry. Having aircon in every room was a godsend, especially with the New York summer heat. The apartment was adequately furnished with plenty of storage to be able to un-pack completely, with the fully kitted out kitchen and satellite TV, it was a home away from home. The bathroom was well fitted out with a huge sink, shower and storage. The whole apartment had a great feel with some of the decorations/art being "New York themed" Plenty of information was left with regards to sight seeing in New York and the surrounding areas. Towels were changed mid stay. We were left to ourselves but knew that help was downstairs if needed. We had dinner at Hamilton's down the road and also use Mr Tong's Chinese, both of which were excellent. We cannot recommend Steve's apartment enough! Go stay!!!

Von ihr haben wir auch alle wichtigen Informationen sowie nützliche Hinweise erhalten, Wasser stand ebenfalls bereit und die Wohnung war schon angenehm klimatisiert. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, super gut in den Betten geschlafen und fanden alles vor was wir brauchten. Die beiden waren ebenfalls so nett und haben uns spontan an einem Sonntagmorgen Tickets für ein Footballspiel bei ihnen ausdrucken lassen, was uns sehr geholfen hat. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wirklich jedem empfehlen und bedanke mich bei Steve & Anna für die wirklich tolle Gastfreundschaft!

The location was fantastic with close access to the subway & grocery stores. The living & kitchen area was just perfect for the 4 of us. Nous étions 2 adultes et un enfant de 13 ans, dans cet appartement très grand, extrêmement propre et parfaitement fonctionnel et décoré. Les PLUS: appartement extrêmement propre, nous nous y sommes d'emblée sentis comme chez nous, quartier résidentiel très calme, métro à proximité immédiate (moins de 10 minutes de marche de la station "Fort Hamilton parkway", supermarché proche également (15 min de marche), supérette de "dépannage" à l’angle de la rue, la literie est vraiment très confortable, la communication était vraiment facile Steve vivant dans l'appartement juste au-dessous, malgré notre arrivée tardive, Steve et sa famille étaient vraiment accueillants nous ayant même proposé de nous donner un parapluie pour notre départ pluvieux le dernier jour. Le seul moins (il faut bien en trouver un!): la WI-FI "ramait" un peu. UNE EXCELLENTE ADRESSE A RETENIR SANS HESITER A BROOKLYN POUR UN SEJOUR INOUBLIABLE A "BIG APPPLE".

L’appartement est joliment décoré avec un style à la fois contemporain et rétro, comme en atteste les photos sur le site. Les serviettes ont été changées au milieu du séjour. Ils ont très réactif à notre unique demande : des adaptateurs pour les prises US :-) Il n'y a eu aucun problème durant le séjour et ont été très arrangeants pour le départ compte-tenu de notre horaire de vol. It is a safe neighborhood to walk in, has a beautiful park, Prospect Park, that you can walk, run or ride a bike in. The community is made up of mom and pop businesses, delis, sandwich shops, and all kinds of restaurants, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, and foods from India. There are all walks of life and everyone is very friendly and helpful. We are from California and this was our first trip to Brooklyn, NY. We are timeshare holders so we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of the apartment, the amenities of a full kitchen and the spaciousness. The apartment was very clean, well maintained and decorated like a staged home - stylishly, simple and coordinated with personal touches.

There is a Foodtown supermarket nearby and shops at Church Avenue and Prospect Avenue. We enjoyed dinner at Le Paddock on Prospect Avenue, which is a 10 minute walk away. Fort Hamilton Parkway subway, F/G lines, is very close making it easy to visit anywhere in NYC. Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery are both easy to walk to. There are great views of Manhattan from Greenwood. Go at the weekend when the Fort Hamilton entrance is open.

This is the quietest neighborhood I've even been in, in Brooklyn or Manhattan. The apartment is large for NY, clean and modern, bright with many windows and a skylight, and less than 3 blocks from the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway stop. We bought groceries at the market about four blocks away and stayed in for breakfast each morning before heading out each day; however on the corner of Steve’s street, there are quaint restaurants and a coffee shop which were super easy to grab coffee on the way to the Metro station. We loved the cleanliness, space, and decor. We felt right at home with the amenities provided and it definitely helped complete our Manhattan vacation!

After travelling all the way from NZ (a long journey) we were greeted by the wonderful Steve who gave us a tour of the apartment and had some great tips for us. It’s perfectly located close to the subway that’ll take you to Manhattan in no time at all. The area itself is safe and quiet, which is a treat to come back to after a long day. You’ll find the apartment has everything you need and more. Both rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. We slept well every single night and felt so rested despite being the busiest city the world. Steve and Anna also provided a handy sheet upon arrival which details everything you need to know about the area (closet supermarket, laundromat etc).   Comments: This is a great find - a clean and comfortable space in a safe area of Brooklyn. It is exactly as billed, the only disadvantage being no clothes washing facilities. Nach einem langen, aufregenden Tag in der Stadt war es immer schön, in die Ruhe des Hauses zurück zu kehren und am offenen Fenster den Garten zu genießen. Die U-Bahn Station ist schnell erreicht und bedingt durch die Häufigkeit der Züge befindet man sich in ca. 30 Min. in Manhattan. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt haben wir uns hier unsicher gefühlt (späteste Rückfahrt aus Manhatten nach Brooklyn war gegen 23.30h). Im Nachhinein bedauern wir, dass wir uns in Unkenntnis der Verhältnisse und aufgrund der Anreise nach 20h nicht getraut haben, ebenfalls die U-Bahn zu nehmen, aber so haben wir die Erfahrung einer Taxifahrt im Feierabendverkehr sammeln können ;-). Sollten wir erneut New York besuchen, würden wir wieder in dieser Unterkunft wohnen wollen. Steve and Anna were great hosts. We were particularly pleased about the small details on arrival such as fruit and something to nibble and water and soda in the fridge. We found the house exactly as shown in the photos. Plenty of towels were available and the kitchen is equipped with all utensils to prepare a meal at home. In both bedrooms were very comfortable beds, we slept wonderfully. The non-functioning washing machine was no problem at all, since there is a laundry within walking distance. After a long, exciting day in the city, it was always nice to return to the tranquility of Steve's and Anna's home and enjoy the garden by the open window. The subway station is quickly reached and due to the frequency of the trains you are in Manhattan in about 30 min. At no time did we felt unsafe here (latest return trip from Manhattan to Brooklyn was around 11:30 pm). In retrospective, we regret that in ignorance of the circumstances and because of the arrival after 20h we did not dare to take the subway, but this way we hade the experience of a taxi ride in the rush hour. Should we visit New York again, we would want to stay in this property again.

  Comments: Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l'appartement de Steve et Anna. Malgré l'heure tardive , Steve nous a accueilli et présenté l'appartement et le quartier. Pour les quelques questions que nous avons eues à poser, Steve et Anna ont été très disponibles. Le logement est situé à 6mn à pieds d'une station de métro qui permet de joindre facilement toutes les directions. A recommander à celles et ceux qui veulent s'éloigner de Manhattan et découvrir Brooklyn. Appartement confortable pour 4 personnes.

  Comments: This lovely apartment is sparkling clean and extremely comfortable, with two spacious bedrooms (good beds!) and a generous living area that includes a living room and full working kitchen. Hosts Steve and Anna were very responsive to communication requests and even went above and beyond when the weather turned very cold, advising us on how to stay warm in the (cozy and well-heated) apartment. No hesitation to recommend!

  Comments: This place is simply beautiful, in a great area, super close to the subway and some really nice eateries, check out chino’s the local deli, they knock up some delicious sandwiches. Prospect Park is a short stroll away which we found to have lovely varying path ways and interesting buildings dotted amongst lakes and trees. For travel the subway station Fort Hamilton Parkway is a 5 minute walk from the apartment which offers excellent access to Manhattan via the G train. The F train also runs from here. The neighbourhood is quiet, friendly and family-oriented with local amenities close by. There is a FoodTown a 10 minute walk from the property as well as Wendys, Dunkin Donuts and the like on and around MacDonald Avenue Steve and his partner were really helpful and left some useful tips about the area too. Although Steve and his family live below, don’t let this put you off, as you really wouldn’t know. Steve’s place is very well equipped, so if you do want to stay in a couple of nights, they have all the cooking utensils you could need. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone else looking at this place to book it Thanks, Hattie and James

It was conveniently located a short walk away to a couple local playgrounds, Prospect Park, and plenty of great restaurants! The space was clean, and renovated, with generous sized bedrooms that allowed our little ones plenty of space to play and relax. A wonderful place for families to stay in WIndsor Terrace!
