  Comments: Garen was an amazing host. He accommodated every single wish of ours. He responded to my text immediately and helped us book several activities in the city including eating at an authentic Turkish restaurant nearby and attending a Dervish dance event that was overbooked. I highly recommend staying at his place. It's super clean, it has everything you need and best of all it's very centrally located, only 7 min walk to the most famous boulevard in Istanbul "Istiklal Caddessi". We will return again and will book the same place again if it's available. Thank you Garen for everything.

  Comments: Great location next to the lively main pedestrian street (Taksim to Tünnel) with its crowded life from early afternoon until late night. The way there is about ten minutes from the flat. There's a bus stop on a main road on this way, but we couldn't really figure out which bus to take

  Comments: Very nice apartment in a great location. There is a good opportunity to experience the local flavor. The street on which the apartment is located, runs every Sunday street market. This is impressive. Responsive host. When he learned that we were going with the kids bought an extra cot. Here live impurity residents and diverse population. The area is not very clean, but in many places in Istanbul. During their stay there were problems with the plumbing, but Garen repair it. And still need to use mosquito repellant. We were bitten by some insects. Overall, I recommend everything else is great and very pleasant and friendly host.

Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral und super eingerichtet. Sie hat ausreichend Platz und verfügt über alles notwendige, das man so gebrauchen könnte. In wenigen Minuten zu Fuss ist man im Stadtzentrum. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Istanbul und ich hoffe das es eine nächstes Mal in Garen's Wohnung geben wird!

  Comments: L'appartement est parfaitement situé, en plein centre de la ville (place Taxim) ou on trouve le côté moderne et le côté historique et vieille d'Istanbul. Les chambres sont très propre, avec des draps, serviettes, et oreillers. Un grand séjour et un salon sympa ! Le métro est a la place Taxim avec une correspondance vous pouvez visiter la ville en toute tranquillité ! Pour les fêtard la nuit, l'avenue istiklal est parfaite ! Pleins de pubs de boîte de nuit l'une derrière l'autre. Garen le propriétaire a organisé pour nous le transfert de l'aéroport à l'arrivé et au départ à un tarif correct. Appartement à conseiller pour ceux qui veulent bien visiter la ville

  Comments: Хочется поблагодарить хозяина квартиры! Жилье превзошло все ожидания! Хозяин (Гарен) очень вежливый и тактичный человек. Квартира большая, просторная и чистая. Есть все самое необходимое и все работает и исправно. Видно, что не так давно в квартире был сделан ремонт, причем, достаточно качественный. Есть wi-fi и цифровое телевидение с российскими каналами. Везде кондиционеры. Поразила улица, на которой находится квартира. В воскресенье из обычной улицы она превращается в большой торговый ряд, где можно купить любых свежайших овощей и фруктов. Очень удобная геолокация. Пройдя по улочке вверх, сразу оказываешься на крупном проспекте, где легко взять такси и за 15 лир оказаться в историческом центре. Рядом хамам и магазины, где можно купить продукты. Прямо под окном есть паркинг, где можно оставить машину. Конечно, в полной мере присутствует национальный колорит турецких кварталов. Но это не портит общего впечатления от квартиры. Очень рекомендуем. Близко, недорого и качественно!

Гарен отличный хозяин - очень гостеприимный и переживающий, он даже оставил нам тарелку с фруктами и шоколадки в холодильнике! Квартира очень чистая, уютная и стильная - иногда даже никуда уходить не хотелось))) Находится она в самом центре и добираться очень удобно куда угодно. Возле дома огромный рынок с очень приятными ценами, а также рядом есть круглосуточная дешевая кафешка с вкусной едой и приятными хозяевами. А еще Гарен может вам посоветовать очень многие приятные и безопасные места - рестораны, клубы, кальянные и тд. Очень все понравилось! Приедем еще обязательно!

  Comments: The host welcomed us warmly, though we arrived late in the night. The flat was as nice as it was described. Especially nice was the central heating system in the flat, since the weather was unfortunately pretty cold. The neighborhood with the narrow steep roads bordered with historical buildings gives the feeling of old Turkey. Istiklal Caddesi is only 8 minutes on foot away from the flat, perfect for long and relaxed (window) shopping or taking the Tunnel tram and train to reach other historical parts of the city like Galata Kulesi, Galata Kopru, Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmet Cami, Grand Bazaar and others. In short the location is perfect to explore old Istanbul.

  Comments: Garen is a perfect host, he was always helpful. There were some problems with the shower's sink in the flat though. The flat itself is ok. Rooms are not big but there is enough of space. However I would recommend this flat to young guys who are looking for something inexpensive not far from Istiklal. If you travel like we did with lot of kids, you'd better think twice: the neighborhood is rather dirty and doesn't look safe.

  Comments: Garen прекрасный хозяин. У нас был поздний checkout в 16:30 без дополнительной платы. Трансферт из аэропорта Ататюрк был организован идеально, на большом автомобиле и во-время. Я не мог включить стиральную машину, там все надписи по турецки, он сразу мне ответил и проблема была решена. Квартира соответствует заявленной. Район немного отдает турецким колоритом, но жители района весьма дружелюбны. Местонахождение квартиры и район соответствуют описанию. Интернет быстрый. Квартира подходит для семей и компаний. Буду в Стамбуле остановлюсь в ней еще раз. Всем рекомендую.

Staying in his apartment was a great option for us during out stay in Istanbul.   Comments: Our stay at Garen's apartment was wonderful. We arrived late into Istanbul and Garen organized a private transfer from the airport which made the transition very easy. The apartment is conveniently located in Taksim in a local area. There was plenty of room for 6 people and although there is just one bathroom, it didn't pose any problems!

I didn't meet Garen personally because I arrived after my friends already had a key, but I can say that Garen is a great host, he gave us a lot of advices and also helped with airport transfer. Garen est un hôte attentif, qui nous a accueillis à l'appartement et nous a fourni nombre de bons plans pour découvrir la ville. L'appartement est grand, clair, très propre et très fonctionnel. Il est aussi et surtout très bien situé pour visiter la ville, non loin de l'artère principale de l'Istiklal, à proximité de la place Taksim et non loin de la tour de Galata. Bref, un excellent séjour !

  Comments: We travelled in winter and arrived after dark, it was in an old building in what we later discovered was a rough part of town. Had to walk up steep rough roads to reach public transport, not ideal if you have any mobility issues. The flat was clean but small. Our main issue was with the hot water which we could not get to function properly, none of us had a pleasant shower, it was either boiling or freezing and ran out after 1-2 minutes. The kitchen was small and poorly equipped with only one small sharp knife. Overall it was an average experience

  Comments: It was a really nice stay in Garens flat. It was really clean and safe. The flat is well located, to taxim square it's just 5 min walking. The flat has a nice balcony where you can sit. Bathroom and kitchen was really clean and everything was working. At Sunday there is a big market directly in front of the house where you can buy fresh foods and otter stuff. Garen offers us a transfer from the airport to the flat, that's a really good idea to use it. Thanks for everything!

He showed me around the neighborhood and gave excellent suggestions for places to visit in Istanbul. The apartment looks exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything was renovated and in working order. The neighborhood looked safe to us, although not well-taken care of. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. The Sunday market right outside our doors was a pleasant surprise :)!

  Comments: Garen was a great host. The flat is in a hilly section of Istanbul that is a working class neighborhood, but my family of six loved it. Each day we would stop at the corner market half a block up where my kids gave the owner hugs and the owner gave my kids candy. We become good friends with the store clerks about a half block away at the main supermarket and keep up with them on (Hidden by Airbnb) . The flat had everything we needed to stay their for a month and was very new and well equipped. The market literally right outside your door step every Sunday is something not to be missed. You are within 5 minutes walk of Istiklal street and all the night life you could want. We were very happy with our stay and plan on going back next time we are in Istanbul.

  Comments: Ça restera sans doute le meilleur voyage que j'ai jamais fait ! La Turquie est un pays magnifique et son peuple très accueillant et serviable ! Garen a été très à l'écoute et très arrangeant. Le quartier est calme et vraiment pas loin de taksim et de l'arrêt de bus. L'appartement est bien équipé et correct niveau propreté j'ai quand même dû nettoyer le micro onde pour pouvoir chauffer les biberons de mon fils car il y avait des éclaboussures à l'intérieur, mais sûrement un oubli de la part de la dame de ménage. Le quartier est un peu bizarre au premier abord mais on s'y habitue très vite. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le marché en bas de l'immeuble tous les dimanches ! L'appartement est grand bien éclairé et beaucoup de place pour que les enfants puissent jouer. Encore merci à Garen pour son hospitalité ! Je le recommande à 1000%! Nous reviendrons certainement ! Gros coup de coeur!

  Comments: Arabic and German versions are below :Since it was one of my best trips I will make it an extensive review! 1-Garen as a host: Garen was a very nice person from the day of booking the apartment to the end of our stay. He gave nice hits and suggestions to enjoy our stay in Istanbul by providing helpful websites. During our stay, the communication with him was really perfect in terms of language and being kind to us. In addition to that, he offered us to help in booking our transportation from the airport to the aprtment. 2- The apartment: The apartment was nice and clean. It was sufficient to accommodate us (9 people) without any problem. The location was not far away from Taksim area (Istiklal street) where people can find a lot of shops, restaurants, cafe's, clubs and pubs. The apartment is around 2-4 min from the bus station (Ömer Hayyam) which can take you to many places in Istanbul and 15 min walking from Taksim metro station. 3-The area: The area was hilly ( which is also the topology of a lot of places in Istanbul) which makes the movement with a baby trolly a bit difficult(as in our case). Next to the apartment, there is a market which opens on Sundays. You can get nice fruits vegetables and much more for cheap prices. However, the people leave the place with a lot of garbage and wastes ( it won't be cleaned before the next day by the city). The buildings and streets in this area are pretty old. You can hear the sound of neighbors till late ( even after 10 pm). The building where Garen has his apartment does not have an elevator, which can be difficult for old people or little children in the trolly. As well as the lights in the building ( along with the stairs ) were not working properly. الشقه ممتازة ونظيفه كافيه لمجموعه كبيره تصل إلى تسعه أشخاص يوجد فيها كل ما يلزم. غارن صاحب الشقه لطيف ومتساعد جدا ولم نواجه ايا مشكله بالتواصل معه باللغه الانجليزيه . موقع الشقه استراتيجي ولكن سلبيتها الوحيده انها بمنطقه شعبيه جدا .قريبه جدا من السوق(سوق تقسيم ،سيرا خمس دقائق) والمواصلات العامه(من اثنين لأربع دقائق) ، أنصح بالاقامه بسبب قربها من الاماكن السياحيه . die Wohnung liegt in Top Lage und entfernt nur 2-4 min zur Bus Station . Sie geeignet für große Gruppe . In der Wohnung befindet sich alles ,was jemand braucht. Die Wohnung is sehr empfehlenswert.

  Comments: Garen is a very friendly and nice host. He offered to order a transfer for us from the airport, met and led to the apartment as we would have simply got lost without any guidance even with GPS. The flat was very neat and clean. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay, sometimes we forgot that we are not at home but rented this apartment. Also, Garen provided us with a number of must-visit places and we were very pleased to go there. Any questions and inquiries were answered and assisted in time with a great empathy. If you wish to stay in Istanbul downtown for a week, Garen's flat is a great place to live in.

  Comments: Am Anfang hat uns der Ort also die Straße und das Haus von außen nicht so gut gefallen. Aber die Wohnung ist echt sehr schön und groß. Es war alles sauber und bequem. Garen hatte uns am Anfang viele Fragen beantwortet und sich Zeit genommen. Er kann gut Englisch. Leider gab es für 5 Personen für 2 Wochen nur 2 Rollen Toilettenpapier. Die Wohnung ist ganz in der Nähe von Taksim und einer Shopping Straße Istiklal. Das ist sehr gut. Nach einer Woche Aufenthalt funktionierte eine Klimaanlage nicht mehr. Garen hat sich direkt darum gekümmert, den Service angerufen und uns einen Ventilator vor eingebracht. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

  Comments: Apartment is very nice and clean. It is what you see in the pictures. It was cleaned prior to our stay and it was not smelly or dirty. Everyone was very satisfied with that. The apartment is very close to Istiklal st and Taksim square. It was very convenient to walk there and stay out late. The neighborhood is not the best but we did not have any issues with safety. It is close to two grocery stores and a bakery which was convenient. It was easy to get a taxi. The host helped us with transportation from and to the airport which was nice. He also was very helpful with tips about places to go and visit.

  Comments: I had a family reunion at Garen's place last week. It was great. The apartment is super clean and comfortable. The building is kind of old but inside the unit is very well-renovated. The area is also an old area and we got a chance to see the Sunday market in the neighborhood with so many fresh fruits and vegs. You need exactly 7 minutes walking to reach Istiklal Street which is great. The only thing is that the way is little bit hilly, we didn't face any problem but you might want to consider it if you are traveling with children or elderly people. Garen is such a nice, responsive and friendly host which never says no to anything! I really really thank him for his hospitality and I hope to see him again soon :-)

  Comments: Хорошая квартира за свою стоимость, без излишеств, но есть все необходимое, чисто, светло, горячая вода и отопление через проточный водонагреватель, без перебоев. Две небольшие комнатки с двухспальными кроватями, одна из комнат без окон + одна комната просторная, также с двухспальной кроватью, гостиная с диванами, небольшой совмещенный санузел с душевой, маленькая кухонька с газовой плитой (есть вся посуда в большом количестве, сковороды уже немного подубитые), большой обеденный стол во входной зоне. Дом может показаться расположенным в достаточно специфическом месте: настоящий старый жилой квартал, выглядит местами заброшено, несколько полуразрушенных домов вокруг. Но мы чувствовали себя безопасно, вечерами было тихо, а буквально 10 минут вверх по улице пешком - и ты попадаешь в совершенно другой мир на Истикляль с модными кофейнями и кучей туристов. В пяти минутах ходьбы от квартиры два небольших супермаркета. Интернет работал без проблем. Garen оперативно отвечал на сообщения, встретил нас в квартире, не было никаких вопросов с заселением, при выезде мы просто оставили ключи на столе. Кроме того, он посоветовал нам закусочные и кафе в районе проживания, два ресторана из них мы посетили и остались очень довольны. Спасибо за рекомендации!
