  Comments: Nous sommes allés du 9 au 14 juillet 2013. La maison est superbe, ainsi que la vue. L'intérieur dont on voit peu sur les photos est très grand et fonctionnel. Les chambres ont été refaites il y a peu de temps. Il y a vraiment 3 salles de bain ! Luis nous as conseillé un petit resto à 5 min à pied qu'on avoue être un très bon rapport qualité prix plaisir, nous y avons manger 3 fois et avons payé à chaque fois environ 50 euros pour 7 personnes. Nous vous conseillons de goûter les Pataniscas ! Les seuls remarques négatives mais qui sont que des petits détails : - les moustiques comme tous les endroits chauds mais Luis nous as donné un produit à pulvériser qui marche très bien - le champs du coq du matin ;O) - et pour ceux qui veulent visiter les caves à vin au milieu des vignes, il faudra faire 1h30 de route en suivant le Douro en direction des terres. Mais vous trouverez des dégustations de porto à Porto à 20 min. Si nous retournons à Porto, nous reviendrons certainement dans cette maison.

  Comments: Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. La prestation est excellente, la maison est encore plus surprenante que sur les photos et la vue est magnifique. Bien situé dans un endroit tranquille et à une trentaine de minutes du plein centre de Porto. Comme d'autres, nous conseillons le restaurant plus bas prés de la marina. Nous la conseillons et si l'occasion se présente, nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner!

  Comments: A great holiday retreat with absolutely marvellous views over the Douro river! Luis is a nice host, providing all useful information to help having a great holiday. The house is much bigger than on the pictures and is comfortable. Inside, the first floor was our preferred hideout, completely renovated it comprises a (second) living room, balcony and three bedrooms, all of them having the great views over the Douro river. The house is conveniently located, about 25min from Porto and, with the new A41 highway (access about 8km from the house), trips to many other nice cities are easy (e.g. Amarante, Guimaraes...).

  Comments: Luis is very friendly and helpful, as is his mother who met us at the house. The house was even bigger than it looks like in the pictures and the pool is great! We were three familys with 3 small children and one 12 year old and 6 adults and it still felt spacious. Maybe it´s good to know that it is a bit steep and rocky road the last metres to the house. The house was clean. The sourrundings is very beautiful and there is a nice restaurant in walking distance and a small supermarket a bit of a walk away.

  Comments: Onze vakantie in Casa do Sobreiro was fantastisch. Het perceel is afsluitbaar met een automatisch hek, en de oppervlakte daarbinnen is veel groter dan de advertenties doen vermoeden. Hetzelfde geldt voor het huis, dat echt heel erg ruim is. Met 8 personen hebben we twee weken lang genoten van de ruimte, het lekkere weer, het zwembad, het buitenzijn en de privacy. Bij aankomst was het huis netjes schoon, alles werkt, en ook de service bij vertrek was perfect. Ik zou iedereen een vakantie bij Jose en Antonio aanbevelen, en zou het zelf ook zeker nog een keer over willen doen.

  Comments: Really nice hosts and a huge house with a great view. We specially liked to enjoy our meals outside :) The only part of the house that would get a bit too warm at night was the bedrooms upstairs but they bedrooms have Airconditionate so this is not an issue at all.

  Comments: Extremely responsive and accommodating, Luis was waiting there for us, and gave us instructions on the phone, on how to find the house. The house is bigger and better than in the pictures. Everything is meticulously clean, including the pool. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The views of the Douro River are simply majestic. Check-out was just as easy, his mother stopped by to pick up the keys. Thank you for sharing this amazing home. We plan to go back again next year.

  Comments: What a beautiful home! We spent four incredible days at Luis's "villa" and felt as if we'd found a secret treasure. All communications wei Luis were very fast, easy, and friendly. Luis's mother met us at the house, giving us a warm welcome, and showing us through the home. From that point there were no hitches or problems--the home is fully equipped with everything you might need--plenty of kitchen utensils and supplies, plenty of towels linens etc. The bathrooms were clean and modern, the pool fantastic, the view superb. All communications with Luis were very quick, easy, and friendly. And restaurants and cafes nearby, with Porto only a 20-minute drive away. Just a wonderful place.

  Comments: The house is absolutely fantastic - it's really spacious (there were five of us staying and there was plenty of room for several more). The view is INCREDIBLE and the photos really don't do it justice. Our hire car (which was admittedly terrible) struggled with the last few metres of road outside the house, but we were able to park a minute or so away from the house without any trouble. The hosts were great and I would hugely recommend a stay!

  Comments: The place is huge and very nice, with a beautiful view. Not too far from Porto and the beach, with the ability to go swimming in the Douro in less than 5 minutes. Communication with Luis was always quick, and his mother was at the house to welcome us and show us around. Just the road to get to the house is quite rocky, 4x4 is nearly needed

  Comments: We had a wonderful week in this vila! We enjoyed the stunning views of the Douro, the air-conditioned bedrooms (so we didn't suffer from the mosquitoes), the comfortable bathrooms, the pool and the spacious kitchen. The owners were very friendly and flexible. In the morning we walked along the river in fifteen minutes to the small village where you can find a delicious bakery. When you walk a little further down to the river, there is a natural bay with a nice restaurant where you can eat very tasty. We were five people 40 euros lost! Also there is a nice restaurant in the opposite of the house. In short...we will definitely come back again !

  Comments: The house is renovated with much taste. We loved the stay. Everything was nice. Especially we loved the pool and the outside table and sun beds very near to the pool. And we loved the house. We have 5 kids and the house has plenty of space so the kids has own rooms or slept 2 and 2 together. Eating at the outside table makes is very nice to be one 10m from the pool, so the kids jumped in the pool very often. Luis was there on the phone everytime we had questions. His mother was there in person when we arrived and when we left. The view is splendid. Cannot be beaten! The house is huge, the living room and the kitchen alone is maybe (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) . There was an outside barbeque too. 200m away there is a very nice cafe with high quality food and service. It is called Figuera. I nearby city Melres (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) m) there is a nice baker and a supermarket. More nearby (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) m) there is a small super market, but we did not use this. We would love to come back.

  Comments: Tres belle maison au bord du Douro avec une vue magnifique. Les photos reflètent tout à fait la maison qui est grande et spacieuse. Nous étions 5 adultes, 2enfants et 2bebes. La piscine était très agréable. Seul bémol, nous avons eu un problème d'alimentation en eau. Notre hôte a été réactif. A savoir, l'acces a la maison est tres difficile mais ca vaut le coup.

  Comments: Really big house. For 7 we had lots of space. There is an amazing view on the douro river. We stayed one week and we liked the location, between Porto and the Douro valley. The Villa provides well furnished kitchen and large bbq to enjoy the terrace. However when we arrived the swimming pool was dirty so we could not really enjoy it completely. José reacted quickly though. Another drawback would be the almost impractible road to access to the villa.

Location is perfect: ~10min walk to village (baker, butcher, mini supermarket, cafe, marina, beach/river), ~20min drive to beaches (Espinho, Miramar etc), and ~30min drive to centre of Porto. House is well equipped with everything we needed. Contact with Luis was easy and he responded straight away.

  Comments: Cette maison est tout simplement sublime, la vue est à couper le souffle! Luis a été très facilement joignable, toujours prêt à nous aider et à répondre rapidement aux messages. Située à 20km de Porto, la maison est très bien située. De plus certains bonus ont été très appréciés des petits comme des grands (le babyfoot, la maisonnette dans le jardin, la supérette d'urgence...) C'est exactement le genre de maison que je visualisais lorsque j'imaginais des vacances sous le soleil portugais!

The kitchen is amazing, industrial scale and quality, cooked my best meal on the entire trip here. We stayed there two families (8 peers.) and had room to spare. Nous regrettons de n avoir pas pu faire la connaissance d Antonio Luis ( nous avons ete reçus très gentiment par sa maman) Mais antonio Luis etait joignable et a tres vite répondu quand nous en avons eu besoin (changement bonbonne de gaz ).   Comments: Really big and beautiful house, and fully equipped. A big kitchen, a nice pool and a beautiful garden, with an amazing view. My friends and I had a great time here. Porto is less than half an hour away by car. So we had some sightseeing there and some lazy sunny afternoons by the pool. Luis was helpful with giving us tips of some nice things to see and do in Porto. There was only one small disadvantage: there was a problem with the water supply. But the gorgeous house and surrounding made up for it. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends!

The villa is clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. My advice for anyone staying is to rent a car, the location is quite secluded and getting around is not that easy.

  Comments: The villa is lovely and spacious and with a view to absolutely die for (over the river Duoro). It is well equipped and generally comfortable. However, we found that some of the items were broken or not maintained as well as we would have hoped. I'm sure these will be attended to shortly and we still had a lovely stay and would recommend it to others.

  Comments: We have just finished a two week stay in Luís' lovely house. Sitting on porch with a glass of port wine while enjoying the splendid view over the Duoro river was really nice. The house is very spacious. Staying there two families with each two children was fine. Porto is less than half an hour away by car, if you choose the highway. Anyway, try also the main road along the Douro which is a beautiful trip. We had some trouble finding a decent place in the nearby to eat everyday local food. I suppose Luís may have some suggestions, we forgot to ask him. Though, we would like to recommend the "Figurino do Douro" ten minutes walk away (you can actually see the restaurant from the house). We spent around 115Eur on a dinner for six persons. Both food and service was excellent. All in all, we will recommend this fine house for anyone who is planning to visit the Porto area in a group of 6-10 persons. - Thorstein

  Comments: A wonderful house in the most beautiful environment. Don't believe the pictures, the view from the house is far more beautiful than a camera can catch. There are shops (supermarket and bakery) less than a kilometer from the house. Several restaurants and cafes are close to the house, they are cheap, and most of them with a wonderful view over the river. We were a family with four small children, and we had lovely time there, especially did everybody enjoy the pool.

  Comments: The views from the house are AMAZING! The house and grounds are very spacious and lived up to expectation, it had everything we needed and more. We found it easily accessible by car from Porto. The supermarket and cafe are only a 10 min walk, however the main road is busy and there is not much of a path. We were impressed with area and had a very enjoyable stay!

  Comments: A fine spacious house in an area of outstanding beauty with an excellent views of the river and very good restaurant close by. The surrounding area is delightful and there are lovely towns close by but a car is probably essential. It is a 40min bus ride into Porto. However, we experienced problems re heating and water during our stay. We had no hot water at all for the first 20 hrs. Sinks in the downstairs bathroom and one upstairs bathroom ran only cold water. During our stay (first week in June) the weather was very inclement - several very wet days that were cool. We didn't have ready access to fuel for most of the time we spent there and were unable to buy any despite numerous trips to a number of supermarkets near and far. Given the weather the house was uncomfortable and cold without a fire. We arrived around 8 pm thirsty and peckish. There was no milk, bread or coffee.We were directed to a supermarket, 20 mins walk along a main road but when we got there the supermarket was closed! You might bear this in mind if you are arriving here in the evening. Some clarity is needed about what is available and what is not eg fuel. Attention to the problem with the water alongside a little more hospitality could make this a fabulous place to stay.

  Comments: House in Porto Huge house with spectacular views from all bedrooms, and a small but lovely pool and deck area. The two upstairs bathrooms are modern but the rest of the house is quite rustic. There are two sitting areas (one downstairs and one upstairs), a huge dining room with seating for 12 I think, and plenty of space to spread out. Three of the bedrooms have air conditioning but the one on the main level did not. It was not an issue since the evenings were cool so we didn’t really need AC. This house has a kitchen like in a restaurant which feels a bit odd but has everything you need: gas stovetop, a full size fridge, an oven, and lots of dishes. There is no dishwasher though. There was also a clothes washer which was very handy, but no dryer. The house is about 15 minutes from downtown Porto, and there is plenty of parking in the city so it was no problem to drive there. One downside was a persistent unpleasant smell coming from a utility closet. I am not sure what the smell was exactly (perhaps mold?) but the house has lots of huge windows to let in fresh air so it wasn’t too bad once we let it air out. We also would have appreciated a couple of extra towels and pillows since one per person isn’t quite enough, but perhaps we are used to North American style lodgings since the other 3 houses we stayed at in Portugal had the same towel to person ratio, even if there was a pool onsite. One last note is that there is a single tiny hair dryer and it is not great so if you are many people who need to dry your hair, you are better off bringing one.

  Comments: Le lieu est exceptionnel. La vue est splendide et reposante. Peu de voisins, peu de bruit malgré la route sur le bas côté. Piscine petite et profonde d'à peu près un mètre. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter pleinement de notre séjour pour les raisons suivantes : . climatisation d'une des chambres en panne alors qu'il faisait 35 degrés et ce pendant 9 jours sur les 14 réservés . fuite de la salle de bains du haut dans la cuisine engendrant des courts-circuits et des coupures de courant les 4 derniers jours . Cafetière en panne et non remplacée La maison est superbe c'est vrai mais il y a des fils électriques qui pendent un peu partout et dans la cuisine il faut debracher un appareil pour en brancher un autre. Des multriprises qui ne devraient pas exister particulièrement sur une machine à laver le linge La cuisine - très grande - a un grand besoin d'un nettoyage profond et total. Le congélateur ne congèle pas les produits placés en bas Et enfin, changer tous les matelas est indispensable ! Un réel coût de neuf est nécessaire à cette maison pour devenir idéale Il est à noter que la Maman d'Antonio Luis et lui-même sont charmants et on essayé de pallier à tous ces inconvénients comme ils le pouvaient mais le résultat est là : nous n'avons pas eu la quiétude escomptée pendant ces vacances.

  Comments: nous étions déjà venus en aout 2017, la maison est idéalement située, une vue superbe .... MAIS : le ménage!! ( la cuisine est sale) . Il faudrait un nettoyage en profondeur des ustensiles .... De plus, la literie devrait être changer. Attention, vous avez une belle maison mais il y a du laisser-aller.... Dommage!
