  Comments: This apartment is amazing! It is very modern and extremely clean. The bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is large and ultra luxe, the wifi as fast as we anything we have in our own apartment in NYC, and the kitchen / dining area much bigger than it looks in the photos. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the hippest part of Ipanema -- 2 blocks from the best part of the beach, surrounded by amazing shopping (the Louis Vuitton store is 1/2 block away along with plenty of more within-reach brands), with both a large grocery store and fabulous bodega (try the baked goods!) on the corner, and only a 5 min walk to the metro & main square at General Osorio not to mention plenty of fast city bus lines running right in front. Oh -- and the apartment has a view of the Christ statue! For city & beach lovers, this place really couldn't be more perfect. Plus, the owners were super helpful to us through the entire process. Jan was out of town when we visited, but his colleague Pedro couldn't have been lovelier. Our shuttle into town got stuck in horrible traffic, forcing Pedro to wait almost two hours for us. But he was upbeat and gracious and so welcoming. Then when we accidentally locked our valuables in the safe (be sure to press the reset button - doh) he made two separate trips to the apartment to work out the master key. Seriously, this apartment is like a luxury hotel, for a fraction of the price. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you, Pedro & Jan!!

  Comments: Accueil très chaleureux de notre hôte qui s'est rendu disponible, d'autant que nous sommes arrivés à l'appartement plus tôt que prévu, ayant récupéré très rapidement nos bagages à l'aéroport et n'ayant pas eu de trafic sur le chemin nous menant de l'aéroport à Ipanéma. L'appartement est très confortable et idéalement situé, à la fois dans une artère commerçante et à 5 minutes à pied de la plage d'Ipanéma. La description sur le site correspond exactement à la réalité.

  Comments: We loved staying at Pedro's place. It is very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you will need. Location is fantastic! Wow! Everything around the corner. Ipanema beach Posto 9/10 is just one block away. Pedro was a responsive and thoughtful host. Check-in/-out easy. Highly recommended staying here.

  Comments: A nossa estádia no apartamento do Jan foi maravilhosa!! Gostamos muito do apartamento e do bairro. O principal diferencial desse apartamento é a sua localização, pois é perto da praia e de diversos bares/restaurantes e lojas. O apartamento é muito funcional, perfeito para um casal que quer pegar uma praia durante o dia e se divertir a noite. Além disso, o Pedro, que foi quem nos recepcionou na chegada, foi muito atencioso conosco. Nos deu diversas dicas e sempre nos atendeu quando tínhamos alguma (Website hidden by Airbnb) certeza, na nossa próxima viagem ao Rio de Janeiro, iremos ficar nesse apartamento novamente. Abraços.

  Comments: Salve, Maria Laura, la ragazza che ci ha accolti é stata impeccabile nel spiegarci il funzionamento di ogni singolo elettrodomestico. La casa uguale alle foto dell'annuncio. Bella e ben arredata e ben pensata "pensiero del mio fidanzato architetto". Pulita e fresca grazie all'aria condizionata. Rumori nella norma, siamo a Rio de Janeiro....Collocata in zona abbastanza strategica per visitare i quartieri limitrofi. Un pò lintana dal Centro Santa Teresa e Lapa. Ma luoghi facilmente raggiungibili con il seevizio bus che funziona alla grande, almeno dal punto di vista di un europeo/italiano. Quindi grazie grazie grazie. Consiglio vivamente questo appartamento

  Comments: Excelente departamento en la mejor zona de Rio!! A todo aquel que dude de alquilarlo mi recomendación es absoluta. Estuve 15 noches y ya sentía que era mi casa. El departamento es igual al de las fotos, esta en una zona inmejorable, bien cerca de todo lo que uno busca en Rio, playas y diversión nocturna. Tanto Jan como Pedro, quien es el dueño del apartamento son personas encantadoras que se esmeran en hacerte sentir comodo y te brindan todo lo que necesites.

He was kind, welcoming, and a fantastic host (and new friend!). His hospitality and generosity truly made our Rio experience the trip of a lifetime. Many trendy restaurants are within walking distance of the studio and delicious. In fact, my mother and I walked to dinner every evening - and the beautiful beach was only two blocks away. You can't get much better! Highly, highly recommend this apartment! Can't wait to return!

  Comments: This studio was perfect. Jan was out of town so Lordes met us upon arrival. While there was a bit of a language barrier everything worked out, she was super sweet and tried her best explaining things with our limited portuguese. Despite Jan being out of town, he was quick to respond to all our messages and inquiries about our stay. We were able to do a late check out on the day we were leaving which was nice since our flight did not leave until 9pm. The studio was exactly as pictured on the website. The location could not have been better. The building and location felt very safe at all times. The 24 hour doorman was nice. There were tons of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. within walking distance. The metro was just a few blocks away, we only took it once to the Centro but it was nice to have it so close. We went to the fruit/veggie market and the sunday Hippie market, both awesome. Tried Nectar for breakfast/lunch, delicious lunch plates. One of our favs was on the beach, Posto 9 at the Uruguay flag, the carne sandwich, so good. I can not wait to visit Rio again, it was such an amazing city. I would def stay at this studio apartment again if it is available!

  Comments: Had a great stay at this wonderful apartment in Ipanema. Check-in went absolutely smoothly with both Jan and Pedro being at the apartment to let us in, show us around, and give recommendations on what to eat and where to go. They are wonderful people! The location is absolutely perfect - on busy Rua Visconde de Piraja with tons of shops and trendy restaurants and cafes around. The best part of Ipanema beach is 2 blocks away. The area is very safe and there is a 24 hour doorman (at least one of whom speaks English, if you need help and aren't great with Portuguese) around. The apartment itself is clean and modern and has everything you could need! Would stay here again when I visit Rio next! Highly recommend!

  Comments: A experiência no RJ foi incrível, grande parte pela localização do apartamento. Existe toda a infra-estrutura ao redor com supermercado, padaria, farmácia, etc e vc faz tudo a pé na região. Fomos a praia de Ipanema e a lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas varias vezes e nos sentimos bem seguros. Definitivamente voltaríamos a nos hospedar neste apartamento.

  Comments: Adoramos o apartamento em todos os sentidos. Localização fantástica, na principal avenida de Ipanema e perto de vários restaurantes. Muitas coisas é possível se fazer andando e caso precise de transporte público, não tem o que reclamar também. O apartamento é exatamente como nas fotos (até maior do que esperávamos): confortável, limpo e super aconchegante. Há porteiro 24 horas. O Jan é uma simpatia de anfitrião, tanto ele como o Pedro (que iria nos receber mas devido a atrasos de voos, não tivemos a oportunidade de conhecê-lo ao vivo). Foram muito solícitos e atenderam todos os nossos pedidos. Indicaria a todos o apartamento e com certeza voltaremos outras vezes.

  Comments: Tudo aconteceu conforme o combinado (entrega das chaves, orientações sobre o apartamento, etc). O apartamento também estava conforme as fotos postadas. Os pontos não tão bons, não estavam fotografados, como box do banheiro, armários, etc. O apartamento está muito sujo. Não sujeira aparente, mas falta mais ventilação e arejamento. Eu e minha esposa tivemos muitos problemas alérgicos por conta dos travesseiros, roupa de cama e colchão. A cozinha cheirava a urina. Não poder utilizar o A/C quando o chuveiro estivesse ligado também não constava da informação prévia. Só se descobre estando no apartamento. Numa cidade quente como o Rio, esse ponto ganha importância.

This was a clean, good looking apartment, well designed, even had blackout curtains, equipped with everything we needed, AND in a great location in Ipanema, with a very short walk to the beach. The apt. even has a great view of the Cristo, we were so surprised, looks beautiful lit up at night. :) Jan was a great host & very responsive, he even provided great advice on all types of activities. We love Rio, listened to live music & danced every night. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for making this such a great experience Jan!

  Comments: What a place! There is not a hotel in all of ipanema or zona sul with as perfect a location. You are literally meters away from the beach in posto 9, and all the best restaurants in Rio (zaza, entrecote, etc). On the weekends you simply walk out onto the streets and soak in the beautifula atmosphere. Go to the fruit and hippie markets, so much fun. Then hit the beach or one of the kiosks and take it all in. Pedro and Jan are superb hosts that love their city and will give you all the best information on where and when to go. Even the doormen of the building are all smiles. The whole experience was the quintessential personification of the joi de vivre of the Brazilian people. I don't think we could have picked a better place and we were extremely lucky in finding it. If the dates are available, book it now you will not be disappointed. Big thumbs up to this place, best ABB yet. We will definitely be back.

  Comments: Location, location, location! This place has the best location ever! Couple blocks from the beach and around the best shops, cafes, restaurants and everything you might need on your vacation. The building is safe and has a 24 hours doorman.The studio is beautiful, clean, and looks just like the pictures. Pedro (the owner) was super helpful and easy to reach. I would highly recommend this place to any friend and will most likely stay here again in the future. The only thing you might need is an extra bed sheet, we should have asked Pedro for one but we didn't, there's only one sheet and is kind of tight for two people, I would rather have an over-sized sheet or an extra one. Besides that, this place is perfect for a couple on vacation! Looks just like a fancy hotel room with a great price! Loved it!

  Comments: Todo muy bien según lo ofertado. Departamento limpio y bien equipado. No tuve oportunidad de conocer a Jan pero tuve respuesta oportuna a mis mensajes y resolvió con rapidez mis dudas. El departamento está muy cerca de playa, comercios y restaurantes, así como de transporte. Ubicado sobre una avenida principal, por lo que se debe tener en cuenta que no es silencioso, con ventanas cerradas y aire acondicionado hay buen silencio.

  Comments: Great stay in Rio. The apartment is well located, a short walk to the square in Ipanema and only 2 blocks from the beach. We felt safe and feel we had everything required for a 4 night stay. The only negative was that there was construction on the building next door which was noisy. Of course out of control of the owner, but we had not been made aware. Thank you Jan, Pedro and Maria for your help!

  Comments: Siamo arrivati a Rio alle 5 del mattino, jan e Pedro super gentili ci hanno lasciato le chiavi in portineria. La casa è bellissima e in centro a ipanema,a circa 100m dalla spiaggia. Siamo stati benissimo, ed è super apprezzato che siano così gentili anche con chi, come noi sconvolti dal fuso orario,perde le chiavi. Grazie mille

  Comments: Lovely apartment in a great location, close to the beach. Easy access to the metro aswell. Both Pedro and Jan were very helpful when we arrived and made us feel very welcome! Slept well for the duration of our stay and the apartment was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

  Comments: Both me and my partner had an amazing time staying here. The apartment is exactly how it was described on the pictures, spotless and has everything you need. It is in a prime location, in the midst of all the shops and restaurants and is only a couple of blocks from the beach. An additional bonus is that you can see Christ the Redeemer from the apartment which is lovely especially at night time with it all lit up. We didn't get to meet Jan however he did stay in touch if we needed anything throughout our stay. On our arrival at the apartment we were met by Pedro, who is fantastic and couldn't make us feel anymore welcome and excited about our stay in Rio. He gave us some suggestions for places to eat and visit around the area of which we enjoyed very much. Jan and Pedro, thanks again, we would definitely come back here and would recommend this place to anyone.

  Comments: Ótima localização. As fotos correspondem à realidade. Anfitrião bastante atencioso nos recebeu na chegada e passou as orientações gerais. O fato do apto ser de frente para uma avenida de intensa movimentação pode causar certo incômodo aos que dormem mais cedo ou acordam mais tarde. Mas nada que tenha interferido na qualidade do nosso sono (fechando a janela e ligando o ar condicionado o barulho melhor bastante).

  Comments: Our host was extremely helpful. We are very thankful for all the help the host gave us. We loved to stay in this property. Our only comment is that it can get noisy but the truth is that you get used to it really quickly and the fantastic location makes it worth it even with this minor detail.   Comments: I had a enjoyable time at Jan's place. Pedro was there to greet me and had a special gift for me. I can recommend this place highly. The location is superb close to the beach, restaurants, shopping. The place is clean and trendy. I don't cook when I'm on vacation so I didn't have a need for the kitchen. The doormen in the building are nice and very helpful. Flávio and the other gentlemen are wonderful. Definitely stay there again.

  Comments: A localização do apartamento é o diferencial. É próximo a bares, pubs, restaurantes, lojas, farmácias, mercados. Fica duas quadras da beira da praia de Ipanema e algumas quadras da lagoa. O apartamento é adequado para duas pessoas e supre as necessidades. O apartamento estava limpo e arrumado no dia da chegada e o anfitrião foi muito solícito. O chuveiro poderia ser melhor, a água é um pouco gelada para os dias de temperatura amena. Importante mencionar que o valor gasto de energia elétrica (quando considerado excessivo pelo proprietário ?) é cobrado a parte, nunca havia visto isso nas demais locações. No mais, recomendo.

  Comments: The apartment, although small, is perfectly suitable for two. It is modern and well functioning. And, above all, it is in a great location. Two very short blocks (no more than two minutes walk) from a great stretch of Ipanema beach, between the famous Posto 9 and more laid back Leblon. Everything is literally within sight of the apartment, great shopping, terrific restaurants and well provisioned supermarket. Definitely, a great place to stay in Rio.

  Comments: Hermoso departamento muy bien ubicado y conectado con el resto de la ciudad. La zona inmejorable. Lleno de tiendas y lindos lugares para cenar. Nos recibio Maria Laura super atenta. En el momento de nuestra estadia estaban realizando trabajos con respecto a la electricidad que genero algun ruido molesto pero nada grave y se entiende que es para una mejora! Tuvimos una hermosa estadia. Les recomiendo acercarse a la lagoa a caminar en el atardecer con la vista del cristo q ademas se ve desde la ventana!

  Comments: El departamento está muy bien. El departamento está muy bien refaccionado, es moderno y cómodo. La ubicación es inmejorable! Sólo dos cuadras de la playa y en la mejor zona de Ipanema, con muchos negocios, facilidades y medios de transporte cerca. A pesar de ser un primer piso se puede descansar muy bien. Tanto Pedro como Ma Laura han sido excelentes anfitriones! Siempre ocupados en que todo este bien! Hemos pasado una excelente estadía! Sin dudas volvería y lo recomendaría!

  Comments: O apartamento é muito bem localizado, próximo a panificadora, supermercado, restaurantes, cafeteria, confeitaria, livraria, 2 quadras da praia e comércio abundante. o apartamento é perfeito para um casal, a cama é firme e tem black out eficiente. O ar condicionado funcionou normalmente quando necessário. A tv a cabo tem os canais básicos. o banheiro é moderno com bom chuveiro para banho. a parte da cozinha tem panelas de qualidade e demais louças para refeição. importante salientar que o fogão é de 2 bocas. a recepção de Pedro e Jan foi simpática e eficiente desde a reserva até o check out, foi uma experiência de qualidade a hospedagem, recomendo.

  Comments: Tive uma experiência maravilhosa no apartamento, tanto o Jan quanto o dono do imóvel se mostraram sempre a disposição. Pedro, o dono do imóvel, foi extremamente prestativo e presente. As únicas observações são a ausência de frigideira e liquidificador, que geralmente encontro nos apartamentos que alugo, e o ar condicionado que é mais antigo, por isso tivemos algum trabalho até nos adaptarmos a ele, mas nada que prejudicasse a estadia. Recomendo!

  Comments: El departamento es espectacular! Está ubicado a dos cuadras de la playa y a la noche tenes muchas opciones de restaurans a media cuadra! Lo ideal es no caminar mucho de noche en Rio por lo que la ubicación es perfecta. Sobre la avenida hay locales de ropa, farmacias, supermercados y casas de cambio. Todo lo que necesitamos, lo encontramos a dos cuadras a la redonda. Tiene un kiosko 24hs al lado y portero 24hs también. El departamento es exactamente como en las fotos. Muy lindo y limpio. El anfitrión es muy amable, predispuesto a ayudar, da muy buenos consejos y te hace sentir como en tu casa. Sin dudas volvería a quedarme acá en caso de volver a Rio!

Nos explico muy detalladamente todo lo que tienen el dpto, que en si no le falta nada, coincide tal cual como se describe! Lo mejor, la ubicacion (a pcos metros se encuentran bares, supermercados, metro, y la playa!!) Sin duda que volveriamos!!

  Comments: La ubicación del departamento es muy buena, esta en la mejor zona de Ipanema para cenar, ir a la playa, y moverse por la ciudad ya que el metro esta a un par de cuadras. De noche la zona tiene excelentes lugares para cenar. El dpto pertenece a un edificio viejo pero remodelado 100% a nuevo. El socio de Jan (Pedro) no recibió conforme lo planeado y ayudó a ubicarnos con algunas sugerencias!! Gracias!

  Comments: Excelente propiedad! Viajamos con mi mujer y pasamos unas vacaciones soñadas. Ubicado en lo mejor de Ipanema, es muy limpio, prolijo y acorde a lo que muestran las fotos. Esta a solo dos cuadras de la mejor playa de Río (Ipanema), con dos supermercados muy completos a solo una cuadra y una gran variedad de restaurantes o bares en una distancia realmente mínima. Sin contar que la propiedad es muy apropiada para unas buenas vacaciones en Río la recomiendo sin dudarlo por su ubicación. Tanto Jan cómo Pedro (la persona que nos ayudó) fueron altamente atentos y rápidos en resolver nuestras dudas y consultas. Volveríamos sin dudarlo.

  Comments: El departamento es tal cual aparece en las fotos! Una joyita! Nos recibió una chica amorosa. Tiene todos los detalles, la cocina es peque pero tiene todos los utensilios para cocinar. La cama súper cómoda. Espacio para acomodar la ropa y demás. El único detalle es que cuando te bañas a veces salta la llave y empieza a salir fría, si son dos no hay drama porque le avisas al otro y ya. La zona es bellísima. Tenes un súper enfrente, Mc Donalds, de todo! A dos cuadras de la playa de Ipanema hermosa! La verdad es que fue una estadía soñada, lo súper recomiendo!

Nos recibio a la hora acordada y se tomo las molestias de darnos mucjas recomendaciones y responder a todas nuestras dudas. El apartamento en si esta genial tal y como se ve en las fotos y en zona muy segura. La unica pega es que tardaron bastante en respondernos tras la estancia cuando preguntamos si podiamos quedarnos una noche mas que nos tocaba pasar por Rio. Excepto eso, muy recomendable.

  Comments: Infelizmente minha estada no apartamento foi bem tumultuada. Houve um desencontro de informações no check in e pedro foi um pouco rude ao telefone. Apos entregar o apartamento, assim que saiu, ocorreu um curto circuito no apartamento e ficamos sem energia por quase 6hrs até tudo se reestabelecer, infelizmente acabei perdendo meu compromisso aguardando resolução do problema. Após isso, passamos por 2 dias mais frios e nublados no RJ e infelizmente o chuveiro (que funciona de acordo com aquecimento central por caldeira) não esquentava (tivemos que tomar banho beem frio nesses dois dias). Contatei o Pedro perguntando sobre a possibilidade de fazer uso do chuveiro eletrico e o mesmo me afirmou que este não funcionava, que nunca ninguem havia falado sobre o chuveiro não esquentar (mesmo tendo mais de 2 hospedes abordando isso nas avaliações) e novamente foi rude falando que o chuveiro poderia não estar tão quente quanto eu gostaria (a agua estava gelada!). Enfim, o apartamento tem uma localização excelente, porteiros muuito simpáticos. Apartamento um pouco sem cuidado (cortina do banheiro suja, pia não funciona direito, falta pastilhas no box, rejunte enegrecido...) embora muito bonito e de bom gosto.
