Comments: The hosts were really nice and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean, even cleaner than some of the hotels i stayed while on the road trip right before Hawaii. The place had an amazing view from the porch. There's a bus stop right across the street, which was very nice since we didn't rent a car there. Very convenient location, not far from Waikiki, Pearl Harbor. It was a nice, clean and quite neighborhood. Michael and Cristina were even so nice to give us rides to Waikiki couple of times. Really nice couple.

Comments: Michael and Cristina were very nice couple. The view was beautiful and the room was very clean. Good size fridge and even had a coffer maker. The bathroom was great roomy shower and nice sink. Micheal and Cristina had awesome beach chairs and beach mats for us to use as well a set for snorkel mask . Parking was never a issue when we stayed looked like it would be but ever night that we came back we always had parking. A bit of a climb up the stairs to get up to the room but well worth it. We loved walking down the stairs every morning and seeing all their beautiful landscaping as well as all the geckos on the walk down. The location is great if you want to get away from the hustle of waikiki . Really close to the aloha stadium that has a swap meet every wed , sat and sunday. We really enjoyed our stay . Adam it the next room was very nice didn't even meet him till the 3rd day of our stay.

Comments: The house had a wonderful view. It was in a good location, not too far from anything but not right in the city. Finding parking can be somewhat difficult but we were always able to find a spot. If you're a light sleeper at night it can be kind of noisy outside (dogs barking, bus stop right across the street). Over all it was enjoyable, and the hosts were nice and gave us a lot of recommendations!

Comments: A laid back and comfortable stay, with friendly hosts and very well kept accommodations. The location was close to where I needed to be - airport and Pearl, and an easy drive to the places I was able to visit - Diamond Head, North Shore, Dole Plantation, Paradise Cove... Highly recommend!

Comments: I had a great stay, Michael was very friendly, very close to the airport, which was important to me as I arrived late and left very early. The appartment was exactly as described, very clean, parking was no problem. Close access to H1. I would highly recommend this location as a base to explore Oahu.

Comments: Enjoyed this place a lot so it was really sad to leave it. Everything is close enough on this island if you have a car and avoid rush hours but this place is really close to the airport so you never be late even if freeway and major highways are jammed. Studio is a brand new, fresh, clean and cozy. Breakfast on a patio with beautiful mountains and Pearl Harbour view was a good start for every day we've spent there. Mike and Cristina were extremely friendly and welcoming, we even got a little toy for our baby! The only difficulty we had was related to a street parking. It looks like local customs imply every household should have 3-4 cars in average so all streets in Honolulu are pretty busy and this street is not an exception. So sometimes it was really hard to find a place but on the other hand hosts allowed us to block their car which helped us a lot a few times. So highly recommend this place to everyone.

Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Mike was very friendly and helpful, he even let us use his aloe plants when we got sunburned on the first day. We didn't get to meet Cristina unfortunately because she was busy with their newborn baby. The space was nice, with a good view of Pearl Harbor. We appreciated that, even for a smaller space, it still had some nice amenities like a few dishes, hot water kettle, and microwave. Our main discontent with the space was that it is directly across the street from a bus stop that has stops all through the night. When we closed the doors and just used the fan we were able to sleep better, but it would have been nice to have the fresh outside air without the noisy bus. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and we would recommend it, especially if you are a heavy sleeper!

Comments: After visiting Waikiki where most tourists stay, my bf and I were glad to have cancelled our hotel reservations and opted for this studio. Michael and Cristina were great hosts and responded quickly to our messages and questions. The studio was clean, modern, and just enough space for two people. Located in a quiet area, it was nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view after a long day at the beach. Parking was not hard to find and most places we visited (Waikiki, beaches and restaurants) were within a 20 min drive, which was very reasonable. We will definitely consider renting this studio again the next time we visit Honolulu! -L & B

Comments: So very happy to have found this gem! It was so relieving to have a place of my own to come home to during my work trip to Hawaii. Michael and Christina were so very welcoming and accommodating and their schedule was super flexible to meet my needs. The best is one of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept in! It was so nice to wake up to the cool breeze and birds chirping and to enjoy my mornings sitting on my very own porch. I would highly recommend staying here and I cannot wait to book again when I return!

Comments: Staying with Michael and Cristina was lovely. Their cute studio is part of a beautiful terraced house in a chill local neighborhood. There's a great view, day and night, and a neighborhood rooster might encourage you to get up on the early side. The amenities were thoughtfully selected and the beef was very comfortable. Michael and Cristina had excellent recommendations food-wise; we checked out several of them and ate very well. They are a very considerate couple but will give you plenty of privacy. This was an ideal place to stay if you're looking to visit Pearl Harbor, avoid downtown traffic, and get a feel for laid-back, local lifestyle.

Comments: My boyfriend and I stayed at Michael and Cristina's private room for a week. We rented a car so we didn't need to use the bus which was right in front of the house. Parking spots were easy to find. We didn't really get to see much of Michael or Cristina because we would leave very early and come back very late. The times that we did talk, they were very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean and cozy. We will rent again from them if we come back to Hawaii.

Comments: We stayed here for 5 nights and it was lovely. The room itself is small, but still has enough room for two people and the patio out front has such a lovely view. It is really clean and organised, with a little fridge and microwave which was very handy. It is located close to Pearl Harbor and not too far by car to Waikiki or about 40 minutes by bus. The area it is in is really safe, we walked around at all hours with no issues at all. Mike and Cristina are such a nice couple and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was a privilege to stay in their home. We would highly recommend staying with them and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Mahalo!

Comments: Aloha and mahalo for reading my review! \m/ *NOTE: Going to mention this first as this wasn't mentioned in their profile and previous reviews. The house is located on a hill so it would require for you to carry your luggage's up a flight of fairly steep stairs, through the hilly front lawn, then up a few more stairs to get to the lanai/rooms. SO PACK LIGHT AS POSSIBLE. We didn't mind the stairs, but it would have been nice to know about it ahead of time. Didn't expect to climb up Diamond Head w/ our luggage's on our backs on our first night, lol! We flew in on a Friday night, checked in close to 10pm and stayed for 8 days. We felt bad for coming in at that time b/c we didn't want to inconvenience our hosts, but they were very understanding, very flexible, and also very considerate. During our stay, we barely saw them, but they were very quick to respond to us when we needed something. We LOVED the area! In fact, we plan on coming back same time next year and hope to rent out both rooms! P.S. We left 2 Kona beers in the fridge for the next guest(s) to enjoy - hope they pay it forward. ALOHA!!

Comments: The studio is in a great location and matches what the pictures show. The lanai is perfect for morning tea overlooking the city. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. The only downsides that we saw were out of the hosts' control - parking can be an issue at night, the neighborhood tends to be a bit noisy (mainly because of the bus and neighborhood dogs). Even with these minor drawbacks, it was still a great place to stay and a convenient location for pretty much everything we wanted to do. Michael and Cristina were helpful but not overbearing. Wonderful experience overall.

Comments: we were looking at a few places when deciding where to stay in oahu. originally, we had planned to stay in waikiki and now looking back, we are glad we didn't. it is too busy over there and parking proved to be difficult. however, the location here was perfect. we were close enough so that we can go to waikiki (as well as other parts of the island) whenever we wanted as it was close. we literally almost drove around the whole island with our base here. the room was very clean and great for two people. the room came with beach chairs and snorkel gear, which we used when we went to north shore. it was warm when we were there but we slept with the fan on and the door open (screen shut) and we were happy without AC, plus you weren't shocked when you walked outside with the temperature difference. the room also came equipped with a small fridge and microwave. fridge was perfect to keep our drinks cold. parking was also easy while we were there. if there are guests in the other room, the walls are thin. but we didn't really mind, as we were out most of the day. i would definitely recommend this place again. clean + great location

Comments: First off, the property was exactly as advertised. The room was well laid out. A double bed against the wall allowed ample room to get around in the compact space. The microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee pot allowed light cooking. The shower stall was surprisingly roomy as the space was designed for a full size tub. The walk-in closet was also spacious. To get to the room, from the street, a rather steep set of stairs needs to be climbed, then a short walk across the grass. (The landscape is gorgeous.) This would be a problem for some potential guests. For the rest of us, the stairs add extra security. Street parking initially looked like it might be a problem, but turned out not to be. Five of six nights, we parked directly in front of the property, one night across the street. Directly across the street is a busy bus stop. For some, this is a plus. For others, it might be a minor problem. Some of the early morning riders liked to talk while they waited. There is no air conditioning. The screen door locks from the inside. To keep cool, the glass door needs to be open and the fan running. We experienced no problems. The property is conveniently located to Pearl Harbor, which is visible from the lanai and Aloha Stadium. My wife enjoyed hearing the band as the flag was being raised every morning and lowered every evening at Pearl Harbor. The property is west of Honolulu proper, making the drive to Ewa, Pearl, and Hale'iwa relatively easy. Our hosts were out of town for a wedding, but through AirBnB email, and other arrangements, took care of anything and everything within an hour or two. Overall, the location and the property itself were perfect for our vacation needs.

Comments: This was a wonderful place to stay for our week in Hawaii. I stayed with my boyfriend and everything was very spacious for the size of the room. The closet had a lot of room for both or suitcases and we were able to purchase some food to have for the week and put in the fridge. There was no Air Conditioner which was uncomfortable at times but we had the door open for the cool breezes at night and in the morning. Michael and Cristina were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home and helped us with anything we needed. The parking was very easy and we had no trouble with it. My favorite experience was having a cup of tea in the morning on the lanai and listening to the National Anthem every morning from Pearl Harbor. Truly a wonderful stay. Mahalo Michael and Cristina! Thank you for everything!

Comments: First of all this place is really nice and has the perfect scenery. Just the time I went was really humid and hot. The rooms had no ac just a ceiling fan. Please check the weather when you book. Other than that everything was clean and awesome stuff in the closet for use around local areas. Parking was a hit and miss but overall no problems. The stairs is a nice work out to get to the room.

Comments: My boyfriend and I are thinking of moving to the island and we really want to experience the local life style and neighborhoods. This was the perfect spot for us. The condo offered everything we needed, we even ordered in one night. Michael and Cristina are great hosts. They gave us wonderful local food spots to try as well a beautiful beach recommendations. We would totally stay here again and highly recommend it to others. We did not need a full kitchen so the bar fridge and microwave were perfect for our snacks and to heat up leftovers. The view from the lanai is amazing, make sure to take it all in when you're there. Thanks again Michael and Cristina!!

Comments: Wir verbrachten 5 Nächte in Michaels Apartment.

Comments: Having stayed in busy Waikiki for a week I was looking for a quiet, relaxed place to spend my last few days in Honolulu and Michael and Cristina's place was just what I was looking for. Whilst I did not get to meet Michael and Cristina, they provided me with detailed and easy to read instructions on how to access the property and checked in throughout my stay to see if I needed anything, which was most appreciated. The room is cosy and comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing stay. If you are the kind of person who likes to relax in front of the tv at the end of the day you will need to bring your laptop with you but with a strong internet connection there was no difficulties in watching programs online. I found the bus stop to be very convenient and used it every day however if you want to travel directly to places such as Ala Moana Shopping Centre or Waikiki in a short period of time you may want to rent a car instead as the trip can take 45 minutes to 1 hour and the bus can get crowded. This property is close to the airport (a 10-15 minute cab ride) which is very convenient if flying out early in the morning, like I did. Thanks for letting me stay at your property as it was just what I needed at the end of a very busy holiday!

Comments: Although we didn't get to meet Michael and Cristina were quick to respond to any questions or needs I had. The place was perfect for my needs which is a clean place to crash and shower. Pictures are exactly how the place looks in person. It was centrally located. We had a car and had no problem parking but seriously The Bus (it's really named The Bus) seriously comes like every 5 minutes right in front of the house in case you don't want to rent a car. The view was amazing. It was fairly quiet for the most part but the 2 studios share the same wall so I felt bad as me and my hubby were talking in normal voices early in the morning and the neighbor knocked on the wall I assume telling us to be quiet. Overall it was a decent experience especially for the price.

Comments: We stayed here for 5 days during the Christmas holidays and while the hosts were away, they assigned someone to respond to our needs. Firstly, the view from the lanai was lovely, location was close to town, spacious shower area and storage, and communication with hosts was good prior to arrival and checking in was easy with good instructions. On the other hand, the stairs leading up to the unit was poorly lit, pathway to unit was slippery, parking was a daily challenge, noise coming through the very thin walls from the other Airbnb guests in the next unit, the bed we slept on was uncomfortable and the bottom mattress was smaller than the top one by 6 inches! The size of the unit is most ideal for one person, but with two people, it felt cramped. The place has a local vibe for sure and I grew in Hawaii and appreciate that the hosts offer an alternative to experience the real local people and culture.

Comments: We had a comfortable stay at Christina and Michael’s studio. The room/bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable, clean towels and there was useful furniture in the room like table, chairs, stools etc. Everything matched the description. There were other things in the studio that were not mentioned in the description like laundry washer fluid, dish soap/scrub that made our stay more convenient. Parking was bit of a problem on first day but once we got the hang of it, it was easy to find a spot. We did find 2 cockroaches in the room at night but we can’t say if they were already there or we let them in when we opened the door. The refrigerator had some issue which we didn’t know about. We kept ice-cream in the freezer that melted. But those were minor things. We spent 5 nights there and we were comfortable. We really enjoyed the view from the balcony every morning. The greenery and the chirping of birds was a great start to the day. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Oahu.

Comments: We have stayed in Honu studio for four nights and we really enjoyed it. Lovely little place- quite and cozy. Both the room and the bathroom were kept very clean. Michael and Cristina are very thoughtful - studio is equipped with everything we possibly might need during the stay. We loved the location, away from busy Waikiki. Bus stop is right outside the house which made it so easy to move around. We would definitely stay there again when coming back to Honolulu.

Comments: Michael & Cristina were a breeze to stay with. Though we didn't have any interaction until leaving, the check-in & check-out was smooth as could be. The Honu Studio was charming & perfect for my boyfriend and I & had all the essentials with a rad view too. For as packed as the neighborhood looked, it was surprisingly quiet. Location is central & allows EASY access to town and freeways are super close by to get to any side of the island you wish. Highly recommended stay & we hope to do it again ourselves.

Comments: Met Michael and Cristina briefly upon my arrival and felt comfortable immediately. The studio is charming with the only entrance being a double-pane sliding glass door with screen accessed by the porch/balcony. Public transit is nearby with access to major areas of the island. The area seems suburb/rural as you can be awakened or greeted by chicken(s) in the morning. Since I was from the area and understand big city life, ambient noises do not bother me as much...

Comments: Our stay at the Honu Studio was just what we were looking for. We wanted a small, accessible base camp for trips out to Pearl Harbour that didn't require a car. Shops are within reasonable walking distance, and we even managed to happily walk to the memorial and back. The studio is small, but is exactly as advertised - comfortable and reasonably well appointed for the size. The lanai is a nice touch, and allowed for some great sunsets over the far hills. Overall we'd highly recommend a stay at the Honu Studio - especially if you're driving and want to stay somewhere outside the busy city.

Comments: I had very little interaction with the hosts, the only reason I think we spoke in person was because I was so tired when I arrived, I walked up to their place at about 2:30am local time. He pointed me in the right direction. They seemed very nice, can’t say anything negative about them. However, once I left I noticed an additional Airbnb charge on my credit card for $75. I’m sure its for the one towel they couldn’t find after I hung it out to dry on the porch. $75 for one towel, which had definitely not been new, with holes in it and I also didn’t lose it. Just be aware this is not an entire home you are purchasing, its a private room, with no A/C (which is advertised) I overlooked that amenity when booking. Also the views of Pearl Harbor are not that great, but the views you do get are very beautiful regardless. My suggestion for anyone staying in Hawaii for any reason, is to just shop around EARLY. I secure this place about Feb sometime, for my trip in July 13, 2016. Places were already booked for those dates... Just FYI. On a good note this place isn’t horrible, its just not a place you would want to spend a lot of time in, go out and see all of Oahu!!!

Comments: Michael and Cristina were very accommodating upon our arrival, making it easier for us to find the studio as we arrived late at night. We found the studio to fit our needs perfectly. It makes an ideal location for any couple, making you feel right at home. We made good use of the amenities provided (i.e. cutlery, dishes & microwave). The location was ideal, meaning we were able to easily access places of interests. When contacted, Michael and Cristina were quick to respond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone :)

Comments: Everything that was listed was accurate, it was a small studio but it's also next to their other small studio with thin walls. I could clearly hear others talking in the room and when they say next to my door on the lanai. Also there is no AC so you pretty much have to leave the sliding glass door open to get a little fresh air. Having the fridge and a place to sit was nice to have.

Comments: I would like to thank Michael for very nice stay at his studio. The view on sunset over Pearl Harbor was simply incredible. Since we had no car with us, we really appreciated quite simple connection with the city center by the public transport (The Bus). We also would like to thank Michael for arranging our transportation to the airport at very early hour.

Comments: We had a good time at this AirBnB spot. The view of the Honolulu skyline was priceless. We thought the lack of air conditioning would be a problem, but it was not as the nights were perfect with the wind coming in from the deck area. It was a small spot, but somehow very quaint and appealing.

Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Michael and Cristina's place. The only issue we had was with parking - there is a space right in front of the house as the description but it didn't feel big enough for two cars without blocking the driveway. Cristina was very accommodating, so just communicate with them and it'll be fine.

Comments: We had an excellent time staying at this location. It was well away from the craziness of the rest of the island, particularly Waikiki, so we really appreciated the quiet, relaxed feel of the place. We also really enjoyed sitting out on the lanai at the end of every day. The space was tidy and exactly what we needed since we wanted to spend most of our time outside. The only thing we thought would make the space better was a larger bed (but my husband is 6'4" so that's mostly his problem, lol). Also, it would probably get a little toasty in the summer as there is no air conditioning, but we didn't mind as we were out at the beach or elsewhere during the day. Our hosts helped whenever there was any confusion with parking and they even added some lights along the staircase and path to our room to help us navigate when we came home in the evening. It is fairly out of the way of most of the city, but there were several chain restaurants close by for a quick bite to eat so we would definitely recommend having a rental car for this location. We used the bus a couple of times, which is conveniently across the street, but as per usual public transit, it takes awhile to get places and we didn't want to waste time sitting on a bus when we could be on a beach. Overall, great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

Comments: Michael and Christina were very communicative and accommodating. Our flight into Honolulu got in late, but they made sure we had all the information we needed to find their place and let ourselves into the studio. We loved that they had stocked the studio with everything we needed to spend a day at the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Comments: Our second stay with Michael and Cristina was great. Clean, comfortable, and convenient without being in Waikiki. We enjoyed the new addition of the lockbox checkin! Be prepared for the noise- you can hear the people in the room next to yours and the footsteps upstairs, as well as the bus. And the internet is incredibly fast!

Comments: AirBNB Rating - Wanaka St - Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, HI [ENG – POR] We traveled to Hawaii to attend the events related to the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor attack in WW2. So the location of the lodging was very important. And Michael/Cristina's apart served as a glove for us - perfect! This place is great for a couple with no frills. Very clean, with ceiling fan and another on the floor. There is a shutter on the front porch to 'avoid' a little the fury of the sun and keep the room a bit cooler. The bathroom is nice and spacious. The 'closet' is large and accommodates two suitcases on the floor, with room to hang clothes. There is an umbrella available and two beach chairs, plus diving goggles/snorkell and beach mat. Also, a drawer with three drawers to organize the other clothes. We were lucky with our apartment neighbors (there are two apartments, side by side), ther were very discreet. It was possible to keep up good with their musical and television taste because of the sound insulation, but there was no problem with loud sound, loud conversations, was really fine. Above the apartments is the house of the owners, and they are always available for any eventuality. The couple's daughter wakes up around 7:30 AM but we were never bothered by crying or moving on the upper floor. Access to the apartments is done by a staircase and requires some effort, especially on account of the suitcases. How we wore vintage uniforms, staying for almost ten days, we took more weight - smaller stays will require less physically in that regard. But for the day-to-day, it was ok and comfortable. We liked the bed, big enough. There is a fridge, and the microwave oven, that we never used. There are two chairs in front of the apartment and a small armchair on the inside. The view over Pearl Harbor is good and the sunset usually turns into a spectacle, especially on days with a few clouds. It is easy to dispose of trash, including recyclable. We do not face the higher temperatures because time of the year. However, the fans installed were enough to allow us to sleep closing front doors. The bus stop is well ahead and the noise generated by the engine can disturb a little bit. In our case we were always exhausted and slept very well every night, with the door closed, the ceiling fan turned on, and hardly noticing the outside noise. Now the best part - the people. Michael and Cristina were sensational. Very educated and so gentle. Michael is very calm and helped us out the first night indicating Nico's restaurant at Pier 38 (and it was great), as well as other nearby shopping & food points. Also explained how to park the car: there are two parking spaces available on the street and the vehicles need to be parked correctly. It is interesting to note that Hawaiians seem to...

Comments: The view is nice, and the bed is comfy. The fridge is handy. It's not very close to Waikiki. If you want to be there often, then this isn't the place for you. If you want to explore, feel free to stay. Just be aware of the noise. There are roosters, thumping/running feet upstairs, neighbors in the next room are clearly audible, you can hear the bus like the window is open and the National anthem at 8 am every day. If you're driving, parking isn't guaranteed. You may have to drive up to the end of the road or more to get a spot. Check in isn't 24hrs, but only from 3pm. The bathroom has a musty smell, and airing out will be necessary. However, since we did that, a cockroach found its way in. (Tropical places I guess?) The toiletries are hiding behind the mirror (didn't find them until checkout day... Oops.) The blinds are fragile. Be careful! I think they have broken before. I don't think I will stay here again until these things get fixed or if the price is reduced.

Comments: There is no AC in the studio but there are two fans that you can use. The ceiling fan seemed to just push around warm air but they were excellent for airing out the room. There is a musty smell once you enter the room -especially if it's been closed up for the day. Michael and Cristina were very kind to provide, tea, bathroom soaps and shampoos, soy sauce, and ear plugs. We should have used them while our neighbors were having a great time. The walls are fairly thin so you can hear everything including the child running around upstairs. If you're in need of a place just to sleep,l and you're a semi heavy sleeper, you'll like it. :)

Comments: This studio is exactly how it is described. It's really nice and cozy inside and I love how it had a microwave and a mini fridge (makes life so much easier). The view is absolutely amazing! Almost every night my husband and I would just sit out on the balcony and just relax. Everything in the studio was clean and if I needed anything Michael & Cristina were just a few clicks away. There was even beach stuff and board games in the closet which was awesome! The only down fall is the parking. We noticed that if you returned back home by 7pm (the latest) you'd find decent parking, def not in front of the house. Our second night here we wanted to stay out a little later (9pm) and had to circle the neighborhood to find parking. Luckily, after circling around the block 4-5 times a car just so happened to leave that was parked in front of the house. If you end your days early this studio would be perfect but if you're more of the exploring type and don't want to "rush back home" for parking...this may not be for you, at least not in July from my experience. But aside from that the studio itself was great and for a great price, too.

Comments: We were only able stay at this place for 10 minutes and had to cancel and find another place. Sure I lost a lot of money but it's not worth sacrificing a some good rest over. The studio itself is clean and the view is nice but there's a serious mosquito issue. Not even 5 minutes there my husband and I had our blood sucked several times in the room. Yes I get this tropical weather can attract mosquitoes but I've never had this issue with any other Airbnb among the islands. Mention this to host and they didn't seem to care or offer any help. Just a reply that basically said ... sorry nothing we can do for you it's the weathers fault. Besides that pictures of the area are somewhat misleading. Definitely seems more worn down that the pictures represent. Parking is not easy to find. Streets are extremely narrow. Area safety seems kind of iffy. Overall I wouldn't ever go back to this place or recommend it to anyone. If you want to enjoy your vacation don't come here. You'll save money but it's not worth it!!

Comments: Everything were exact like what's describe on the details, keys were easy to locate and room was exactly like on the picture. I think room is a bit too hot the fact that it doesn't have AC unit. It doesn't have a window either to circulate the air inside the room, but the view at the balcony is stunning. It does get hot at night time even with two fans on. And i think the room is on the small side for two adults. The host was really nice and share some organic grown bananas from her backyard. The bus stop accros the street is very convenient and it takes us to downtown directly as well.

Comments: Great place to stay if you aren't worried about being central to the Waikiki beach/nightlife. It was about a 30-40 minute bus ride (route 3 was great) to Waikiki- I didn't rent a car so can't speak to parking but the streets were usually full of cars. About a mile from target and able to walk there (they have bags you can bring there too so you don't have to buy one). No windows so it can get a little stuffy during the day if you lock the door when you leave, but airs out quickly with fan and screen door. Might be tight with two people but certainly doable.

Comments: We stayed three nights at Michael and Christina's place for a short visit to O'ahu. We had picked the place for its close vicinity to a bus stop, as we didn't feel like renting a car. Looking back we would have chosen a place with restaurants, shops, etc, a little closer by. The place itself is exactly as described, and we really enjoyed staying there. Comments: Nice little studio, perfect for a couple! Nice view and friendly neighbors. Quiet neighborhood but can be noisy at times because there's a bus stop right in front which causes buses to pass by frequently, roosters and upstairs neighbor with kids but they provide earplugs for the noise if it becomes too much :) Well equiped and close to highway! Comments: The room is located in a good neighborhood and right in front of the house you can find a bus stop. But no worries it will not bother you at all. The location is great (I have to recommend for everyone to rent a car). There is a Target store nearby (4 minutes driving) and it is also close to the highway so commuting to city is super easy. You can get to the city center in 20 minutes-depends on the traffic. We did not have a chance to meet the hosts but the communication with them was quick and easy. The room was clean. Comments: LOVED staying here! This was mine and my husband's first airbnb experience so we were a bit nervous but everything was super easy and we were so happy with our decision to stay here. The location is very convenient to Pearl Harbor though we ended up renting a car and drove all over Oahu. We absolutely LOVED our time on the island and used the provided snorkeling gear to go to Hanauma Bay twice (by far our favorite part of the trip!). They provided a small refrigerator, microwave, plates, cups, silverware and even tea bags. We were so pleased with the cleanliness of the room as well. We didn't know what to expect with the bugs and such in Hawaii but we never saw a single bug inside the room and felt comfortable walking around barefoot in the room (and we are total neat freaks). Parking was something to get used to as the other reviews have mentioned but we got lucky several days and parked right in front of the house, other days we parked within close walking distance so it was never too bad. Overall, I would highly recommend this house to others!

Be aware that it is at least 1hr of bus to go to Ala Moana or Waikiki and about an other hour if you want to go to Manoa falls or the Southeast of the Island. So location is good if you don't mind doing a lot of bus to visit. Calm neighbourhood, it was really silent at night when we closed the doors, roosters would not bother us. Comments: I highly recommend Michael and Cristina’s home, they were so welcoming from the start. We booked our stay for 1 month because we moved to Oahu! And we actually requested half way thru to change our res. and check out 2 weeks early since we found our permanent apartment in Honolulu quickly! They were very accommodating. There are a lot of stairs leading up to the place, and though they say there are 2 parking spaces for guests out front, we only got to park there 2 nights out of our stay... we had to part about a mile away and on hills most of the time! It is a pretty packed neighborhood full of hills, so maybe don’t book if you rent a car! There are TONS of lizards and geckos around, which is fun. But also at night the cockroaches come out in full force, not so fun. We actually found one creeping around in our folded towels but there was roach spray ready for us! This place is perfect for a short stay, for 1 or 2 people. It is also VERY hot, no A/C and a small fan. We had a great start to our new lives thanks to our hosts!

The house alone is very well kept, prettiest landscape and stair case compared to the other houses on the block, easy parking areas, not loud at all and the morning views of pearl city was amazing! Best street in the area. There are stairs to the studio but we used it as our excersizing advantage :)

Comments: Clean, modest space with nice decor. Beautiful view from the deck. Note that you share the deck with another studio tenant whose room is right next door. Easy to find street parking nearby.

Comments: Very clean and home like. The only issue was parking but overall the location is great with an amazing view.

Comments: Very true to the pictures/ descriptions. Overall had to give 3 stars because the people up stairs were extremely loud (walking, doors, etc.) and the shower makes a very loud screeching sound after being on for a short period of time.
