  Comments: We arrived in Kona in the early evening. Christy called me the night before to give me the code to the key box, because she wasn't in Hawaii when we arrived. The house is well marked with a banner, which was very helpful in finding it. The rental we had was upstairs, the downstairs tenants are pretty quiet. We were very pleased with the house, it was clean and well stocked with kitchen tools, towels, & beach gear, etc. It provided the space our party of five needed to regroup after traveling for 5 days. The cable TV was a plus because we got to watch a soccer match. There is an onsite coin op washer & dryer that is shared with the building. The main room and the master bedroom both have air conditioners. There are also ceiling fans in all the rooms, and plenty of floor fans for use. Parking is easy in the driveway. Half a mile to the center of Kona for shops and restaurants, we walked down there quite a bit.

  Comments: Ohana Haven was exactly that ... a safe comfortable place where our "family" could retreat to after a long day of visiting island sites. Conveniently located, Ohana Haven made it easy for us to participate in the events we were in Kona for and get back to the house to freshen up for evening events. Cool, comfortable and convenient. More importantly Christy was so accommodating and supportive. We definitely plant to book again in the future.

  Comments: We were very happy with Ohana Haven and our host Christy. The home was easy to get to and centrally located. We could easily walk into town as it was just a few blocks away. The home was spacious and included everything we needed even for the beach eg. Coolers, beach towels, beach toys etc. It was also clean and well maintained. The view of the ocean from the lanai was beautiful and often enjoyed during our morning coffee. The air conditioner in the living room was enough to cool down the whole space including the bedrooms which came equipped with fans (just keep the bedroom windows & blinds closed to keep the heat out in the summer months). Christy always replied promptly to my emails and inquiries and happily provided suggestions and information on the island. We would definitely return and stay at Ohana Haven again.   Comments: In a quiet neighborhood several blocks to downtown. Close to everything. The house is nice and clean with ample supplies. Ten of us slept comfortably. The boogie boards, snorkeling gears and water shoes are perfect for our beach days.

  Comments: This was a great place to stay! The location was very convenient and the apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable. We had two families stay there with a bunch of kids and had lots of space and hot showers for everyone (a miracle to me) after our daily adventures. The kitchen/dining/living area was nice and spacious, even bigger than I was expecting. We folded out the two futons and put up the queen air mattress in the living room and weren't crowded at all. We went to many nearby beaches that had excellent snorkeling and saw lots of big fish, many sea turtles and even a pod of dolphins! Next time we visit Kailua-Kona we will stay here!

  Comments: Everything was as described and fit our situation perfectly. We were within easy walking distance to our activities. The deck was an ideal place for our group to gather and just relax even with the afternoon rains. I highly recommend staying here both for the location and the assistance the hosts provide.

  Comments: The place was clean. Fully air conditioned and in a convenient location, close to town. We did drive to the beaches further out that were highly rated. They have beach gear available. Body boards, chairs, mats, snorkel were all put to good use. It was also nice to have the coin laundry on site so you don't have to travel for laundry. Christy was very responsive, no issues whatsoever.

  Comments: Christy and the Ohana Haven were great! She made booking and all communication with her super easy. We ended up having a group of 9 people traveling with us over to the Big Island, and the place had plenty of space for all of us to sleep and hang out both day and night. There is a family below you, so don't stay here if you plan on partying! I did not meet them, but a few of my friends did and said they were very nice. There is ample parking if you travel with a few cars which is great. Good size kitchen/dining room/living room area, and a sizable porch for hanging out on as well. It's also in a great location and has a nice view of the ocean. You are within a mile of anywhere in Kona, which makes getting around super easy. She also has lots of toys which is fun if you want to snorkel or boogie board but don't want to travel with your own stuff. Definitely choose Ohana Haven if you're traveling to Kona!

  Comments: We stayed at Christy's little Ohana Haven for 4 nights and it was a blast! What a great space conveniently within walking distance of everything in Downtown Kona. We were able to house 12 of us with ease and would definitely love to come back. There are tenants that live downstairs but we never had any issues in terms of complaints from them or complaints about them either. Mahalo for such a great time!

  Comments: Nice, clean, spacious home that was perfect for our group of 12. The playpen in one of the rooms was perfect for the baby, and there's an air mattress in one of the closets. Very convenient location - walking distance to downtown Kona. Lots of snorkel gear (snorkel masks do leak though), boogie boards, sand buckets, and life jackets for adults and kids. Downstairs tenants are friendly. Thank you for the wonderful stay, Christy!

The house has a family living in what used to be its garage and that might be a bit awkward. The house is very close to downtown and you have a couple of supermarkets nearby.

It's close to everything...food, shopping, beaches, farmers market and so much more. The home is quite cute with supplies for everything and enough room for our group of ten. There were extra things left over from previous visitors such as snorkel gear, beach chairs, kitchen goodies, towels, etc. Here home is wonderful and would recommend to anyone. ^-^ Mahalo Nui Loa!!

  Comments: We were welcomed with fresh, exotic flowers. Any issues or questions were answered in an extremely timely manner. The kitchen was well equipped, even though it worked out that we didn't cook much other than breakfast. The location was absolutely perfect for those in our family who had not been to Hawaii or the Big Island before this trip. Easy walk to the market, shops, restaurants, and even Starbucks. The view of the water from the lanai was so inviting in the morning and relaxing at sunset! The boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach mats, chairs and cooler were well utilized by my family. Thank you for helping to make my Hawaii 5-0 comfortable and memorable.

Air conditioning in the main room and master bedroom was a nice surprise as well. We would defiantly recommend this property to others and would likely stay ther again on a future trip.   Comments: My friends and I loved living at Ohana Haven in Kona. The house is really cosy and comfortable with a fully functional kitchen with abundant supplies. It is centrally located, very close to the hustle bustle of Ali'i Drive but far away to be in a quiet neighbourhood. Christy was a great host, making sure we had all supplies, even beach towels and snorkeling gear. Would highly recommend to large groups planning to visit Kona.

  Comments: We had a great time. There was plenty of room for 6 adults. The view from the lanai was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped. We even baked pies for Thanksgiving! the air conditioning was wonderful to come home to after a day of adventuring around the island. We used the beach towels and the snorkeling equipment. We would come back to Ohana Haven!

  Comments: This was a great value. Great location, stocked kitchen, walkable to grocery store, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, coast. Great communication. With a view of a huge cruise ship in the distance from the lanai! Nice! Friendly community and great market within walking distance for gifts and fresh fruits/veggies/fresh fish. We love to support local. I'm hoping we did. Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 futon/beds in the common area. Large, open kitchen. And a large lanai to see ocean front and drink coffee or ???. Downside: We never found the laundry. That could have just been us. And the place is not new. Everything worked, just dated. It was clean. Not fancy. And it's on a hill where motorcycles and cars need to rev up engines in order to overcome it. That was loud at night from the back bedrooms as we slept with the windows open. All in all a great stay. We loved Kona! And enjoyed our visit to the Thunder Mountain Coffee. And exploring.

It was great to be able to walk to the market and to the main strip of Alii drive in the heart of Kailua, Kona where you can find restaurants, shops, and beaches. You have the use of boogie boards, cooler, (Website hidden by Airbnb) make a great family vacation. The water view from her lanai is fantastic.

  Comments: Functional living for 6 people - three bedrooms and plenty of space in the kitchen and living room. This place is centrally located in Kona, so you get the advantage, but it is in a residential neighborhood and the houses next door are not so great. Just something to be aware, not a hit on this property. The laundry is an issue, it is outdated and rusty and the dryer did not work while we were there. It is reasonable value for money. Since we stayed just the one night, it looked 'expensive' because of the cleaning and service fee. This is not secluded (but it is a great central location).

  Comments: The house is in a great location located very close to Kona town. There's grocery stores just a few minutes drive away and a McDonalds literally at the base of the street. Easily walking distance. The house was more than enough room for 9 adults and 1 3yr old. It was fully stocked with beach toys, blankets, board games, life jackets, beach mats, the works! That was a huge help! The lanai was a very comfortable and nice space to view the water and enjoy the evening. The laundry was having an issue while we were there but Christy had it quickly repaired the next day. A side note, the laundry is shared with the entire house and coin operated. Just an FYI for those trying to prepare for their trip, take detergent and quarters. Overall, the house worked perfect for our stay and was a comfortable place to come home to after our long days out. I would stay again!

  Comments: Overall the property is clean and tidy and stocked with the essentials. Check in was super easy. We had a couple of issues with linen shortage and broken items on arrival. Christy was very responsive to address the issues raised and although the broken items couldn't be addressed in our short 2 night stay, the linen was addressed very promptly. There were 6 adults and 4 kids in our group and we found the size of the property suitable for our needs. The bedrooms are generous and the open living space, with the veranda, provided lots of different seating spaces for members to occupy. The first night we ran out of hot water however the 2nd night, with a bit of staggering, it coped with out any problems.

  Comments: So many great things about Christy's place. Location is absolutely amazing, Perfect walk to the downtown Kona area (the hill can be extreme for little tiny kids though). We loved the ocean view from the place. The A/C in the living room cools pretty much the whole apartment, it was impressive. It was awesome to come home to a cooled down place after being in the sun for hours. Theirs another A/C in the main bedroom--we didn't use it too much because the fan there was good enough for us, but it was a nice touch as well. The swimming and beach accessories were awesome too! She had boards, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, kids beach toys, life vest, floaties, and much more. We def enjoyed them. The only downfall that we had was the washer and dryer. Not only is it coin machine ran, but also Both the washer and the drier weren't functioning very well. We ended up handwashing our laundry and hanging it to dry. It honestly wasn't much of an issue to hand wash, but it would have been more convenient to have a working W&D. I did let Christy know about this and she contacted me quickly, and she said she'd get on it soon when she visits. So that's great to hear because we are interested in coming back to this place next year when we visit again! YAY.

It was not stocked with all of the basic amenities we needed but most was delivered quickly after communication. The 2 air conditioning was helpful.   Comments: Location is great. If you want a place close to most things in Kona- this is great. We walked a ton. My group was there for the Ironman and this fit the bill for access to the race and course. Christy was also super responsive to messages!!

  Comments: Large comfortable top floor unit fully self-contained and convenient to central Kona. Excellent layout for a family group. Interior is a bit dated and the kitchen has some cleanliness issues - hopefully the owner can rectify this promptly.
