  Comments: Ruth and her husband Carlos were great. My daughter and I got in very late and Carlos was there to greet us when we arrived. Everything was very accurate, comfortable and clean. We slept very well after a long day of travel and it was nice to have a place to stay that we felt comfortable so that we could rest well. Ruth and Carlos were very helpful with local knowledge and enjoyed sharing what they knew. The neighborhood seemed fine we were in late and out early so we didn't spend much time. We were very happy with everything and would love to stay again if the opportunity comes up. Thank you Ruth and Carlos for being great host! Chuck

  Comments: Ruth, Carlos and Miriam made our stay most comfortable. They opened up their lovely home to us and were extremely accommodating, often asking if there was anything more we needed. They oriented us, helped us with our transportation plans and made suggestions about what to see and do. The suite was as clean and attractive as the pictures suggest. The attached sunroom was a bonus and probably even more enjoyable in the summertime. The family friendly neighbourhood felt very safe even for us (2 women) walking at night. The subway is about a 10 minute walk from the house and a convenient way to get to Manhattan. There are stores, restaurants, banks, etc. nearby as well. We were told to help ourselves to the breakfast foods that were thoughtfully and generously provided. We woke up each morning to the wonderful smell of coffee brewing. If you're lucky and Carlos is around, he might even make you one of his expert cappucinos! All in all, a 5 star experience for a fraction of the price!

The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was exactly as pictured, if not even better than the picture suggested! We had no problems with other guests who were as courteous as our hosts. The home is beautifully furnished, but it was a real home, not a museum. The location is perfect for anyone who wants the essential NYC experience without the drawbacks: we had no parking problems, were in a lovely neighborhood, and comfortably close to transportation centers, shopping and good restaurants. After having a few "bad hotel" experiences, we are in love with air bnb'ing for our stays thanks to Ruth & her family. We highly recommend this bnb for the all-important three c's: comfort, convenience and cleanliness. Yes we will return!

The house itself was very nice and sits in a safe neighbour, which is only a few blocks away from the express subway line.   Comments: I booked this property for my in-laws from Hong Kong while my family stayed nearby in our family apartment. We registered four within the two rooms; tight but doable. We booked the property in three separate sessions over a period of two weeks. We also paid an understandable small fee for an extra person in the room. The house was very nice, furnishings quite cozy and the ground and 4-block distance to the train station optimum. The laundry machine and dishwasher were very nice though a bit hi-tech for the less technically inclined. My wife had to help when the in-laws needed to wash. I do have a few comments. Air-conditioning was inadequate. There was a low btu unit in the living room that serviced that room, the dining room, kitchen, foyer and TV room. Even in moderate heat, the capacity would have been insufficient and NYC was suffering a heat wave at the time. Our folks' boiled lobster, combined with another group of guests' cooking pungent Texmex tacos probably didn't bode well for an odorless environment. The beds were comfortable and room quite pleasant but there was no window aircon. Instead, there was a very noisy standalone room blower. My in-laws elected to keep it off and open the windows. Two of them further elected to hang out on the livingroom sofas until midnight where there was some respite from the heat.

Ruth and her husband are kind hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. They left some breakfast foods for guests each morning. The short walk to the subway was perfect for us. The only thing we would have liked to know ahead of time was that we wouldn't be able to lock our room from the outside when we were out. We would absolutely stay here again.   Comments: Our experience here was very nice. The house is what appears in the photos. We didn't get to meet Ruth or Carlos, but we did meet Miriam. She was very accommodating. We had our stay during a hot spell so the AC was not working adequately or we didn't properly set it up. The room was very warm. The shower was great and access to a kitchen was great. We would definitely suggest the AirBnb. The subway is a few blocks away which we used extensively.

  Comments: The room was exactly like the pictures. It was truly like being at home. This is a great centrally located spot for navigating around the Queen, Bronx and NY areas. I was in NY for a couple of day on business and Carlos and Ruth made me feel right at home. The communication was quick and clear as well as any questions I had in regards to where to eat and what to do. The place is only a couple of blocks from the subway system and you can be in Manhattan in about an half hour. I will definitely stay here again when I need to come and work around this area. 5 Star Rating

  Comments: Ruth's suite in Forest Hills suited us perfectly. We wanted a central location in Queens near the U. S. Open site, and this spot was it. It is within 3 blocks of the subway and within 4 of the railroad. The local grocery store is super convenient and also close. This is a very safe neighborhood and very close to Austin Street where there are tons of small shops and restaurants. Fantastic food and baked goods available everywhere. Ruth and Carlos were around just often enough to be convenient but not too often to interfere with our privacy. And Miriam, the housekeeper, was very friendly and helpful. We walked through three different parks within walking distance and discovered things I am sure most of the residents of Queens are too busy to know about. Because we like exercise, we would stay in this location again without question. It was just as advertised.

  Comments: I reserved this beautiful private Suite for a couple of friends who travelled to the US for a wedding. Since the beginning of the dialogue with Ruth, it simply became very easy. I accompanied my friends to the property on Saturday evening. We immediately felt very welcome and were offered a tour of the entire house: Immaculate, warm, ...... My international friends felt immediately very relaxed. They enjoyed the 1st night, the breakfast on the next morning. Idem for the 2nd night.   Comments: Staying at Ruth's house was wonderful! Ruth was a great host, as was Miriam, her AirBNB assistant. Ruth stayed up late until we arrived to show us around, where the coffee was, etc. The room looks just as it does in the pictures, the shower was hot and had great pressure. The little sitting room was nice to have, too - we loved the couches so much we're considering buying our own of the same brand :) We used to live nearby, so we were familiar with the neighborhood and loved being back there. Austin Street is within walking distance with really great restaurants! Try Bareburger (7 minute walk), and Hot Bialys and Bagels down in Kew Gardens (15 minute walk). For first time visitors to NYC, Forest Hills is a bit of a trek to Manhattan (30-45 minutes at a minimum on subway). It is very safe though, and one of the best places to stay in Queens. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  Comments: Ruth's beautiful bedroom is exactly as the picture shows, right down to the placement of the pillows on the bed. What you don't see is that there is a fabulous sleeping porch with huge couch and lots of windows and natural light! Everything was perfectly clean and neat. Ruth's kitchen was available all day, with English muffins and granola bars. Even though I don't drink coffee, I saw the set-up and an espresso machine. A young woman named Miriam lives in the house, even though Ruth and her family are not there during the week. The house is in a great section of Forest Hills - it's safe and walkable right up to Queens Boulevard, for everything you might need. Keyless entry to the front door is easy and really safe. Because I'm a B&B owner, I think a 'vacation' breakfast might include fresh fruit and eggs, but location trumps all of that. It was an easy walk to see my new grandbaby! Thank you, Ruth.

The ability to park in the driveway was a major plus. The subway is only a 5 minute walk away as is a grocery, pharmacy, and bank. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Carlos was there to greet me, give me a tour of the house, and answer any questions. Staying here was an easy, comfortable, and stress-free experience.

Miriam was the one looking over the house while Ruth was out of the country (she was only a text or phone call away) but they were both welcoming and very helpful during the entire process. The room and house are exactly as they are pictured. Such a cozy and quaint environment. The sun room was our favorite part of the stay. So much lovely sunlight. The neighborhood is also nice and quiet. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We were always comfortable walking back to the house during our late-night-out's.   Comments: It had been a difficult time for me to find a home stay in NYC until I met Ruth's house. I, together with two classmates (we're three exchange students in US), went to NY for a three-day trip and we'd like to find an Airbnb safe, comfortable and convenient for our tour in downtown Manhattan, but most of the home stay we found before didn't meet all those requirements. Ruth's house surprised me at first: super host, five-star reviews and fair price! I booked the room immediately cause I'm sure it must be a great deal. And sure it is. We arrive on the Friday evening at around 10 pm and Ruth was just there to welcome us. She was such a kind, easy-going person and she introduced us around the house with great patience. The room is perfectly matched with the picture and since we were three people going there, the host even made the bed for the sofa bed so that we could take a rest the moment we entered the room. Everything is just as described, clean, quite and extremely comfortable. There were plenty of foods and drinks in the kitchen and you can satisfy your stomach easily every morning. What impressed us most is that the guests in Ruth's house are all in great manner and the common space are always clean and in great order. What's more, the communication between us and the host (no matter Ruth or other two assistants) were pretty smooth and they're always keen to help. Overall, highly recommend to everyone going to NYC for travel or work! I'll definitely stay in Ruth's house again if I will be in NY again! Thank you so much Ruth and wish you all the best!

  Comments: We arrived late, and did not see our host until the next morning. We communicated by text that we had arrived, and were able to easily access the house with the keypad code that we had been provided. Our room was just as described in the photos. The next morning when we went down for breakfast, we met Brie, the resident caretaker, and she welcomed us to the residence. Our room was very comfortable, and we loved the sunroom that came with our room. The common areas of the house were beautifully furnished yet they made you feel comfortable. It was a short walk to the subway for a 30 minute ride into the city. Austin Street, a trendy shopping and eating area, was about a ten minute walk away. The neighborhood was very nice and we felt safe walking around day or night. We visit NYC often, and we might have just found our favorite place to stay. Can't wait to stay here on our next visit!

  Comments: Ruth's place looks exactly the same as in the picture. The location of Ruth's place is great, it's about 15 mins drive to JFK and is also close to Laguardia airport. The subway station is 10 minutes walk away. There is also a private driveway for parking, which should be a big plus for travelers who drive cars. The price was reasonable considering about the location and the room condition. I would recommend Ruth's place for you!

  Comments: This is our first AirBnB experience. We are lucky that Ruth and her team have prepared with their heart and soul for our stay in their sweet home! What delighted me during our stay: the breakfast with coffee, milk and orange juice; hair dryer; facilities for laundry and shampoo / conditioner / soap / towels. I brought some redundancies which could have had not brought with me after 15 long hours' of flight and cross border processes. Ruth & the team have been very responsive to our queries and they are very friendly, which really makes me feel at home away from home. We hope to get back when the weather is cooler.

  Comments: 这间Airbnb地理位置很好 离地铁站,超市,药店,餐厅大约步行5分钟路程 里面装修也不错 房东也很友好 但是这间房子有些年头了所以会有一些问题 1.我们入住的时候房间内的厕所马桶开关坏了 不能冲水 但是房东第二天就修好了 2.房间内基本没有wifi信号 想上网只能坐在楼梯上或者下楼呆在客厅内 3.房间的门只能从里面锁住 如果外出是不能给房间上锁的 所以对于物品安全问题有一点担心 4.房间内床头没有插座 不能躺在床上用手机这个很不方便 5.另外这间房子里有狗狗 在房屋介绍中并没有提及 之后预定完成房东私下有沟通告知 总的来说作为superhost 的Airbnb稍微有一点点不是那么满意 但是作为正常的airbnb来说还是不错的选择

  Comments: Ruth was really good in her communications with us prior to and during our stay. This included recommendations for restaurants especially The Jade. We did not know the area at all but after walking around Forest Hills on our first evening, it became apparent that we had an excellent location for our first time experience in attending the U.S. Open. The travel to / from The U.S. Open via Uber or Lyft worked well. Although we did not need to do so, trains were convenient for travel to NYC. Ruth provided thorough information to make sure we had the correct address of her home and numbers to call if we had any questions. She also gave us approximate costs of transportation from the airport which was helpful to us to gage our budget

The bedroom is very nice & the bed, comfortable. The bathroom was clean and amenities were provided. I highly recommend the place to stay in Forest Hills.

The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you may possibly need. All the living areas are so nice too, really feels like you’re home away from home. We were warmly greeted by Ruth upon our arrival. Ruth welcomed us with open arms. The place is located in a very peaceful and quite neighborhood. This is the most convenient place I have ever stayed in New York. Forgot to mention the free breakfast, (juice, milk, tea, coffee, bread) and a lot more.   Comments: If you are looking for a place to call home during a visit to NYC, you can't go wrong staying at Ruth's place in Forest Hills. Any of the three bedrooms are comfortable, and use of the common areas: living room, tv room, dining room, and kitchen, truly make you feel as if you're staying in a family member's or friend's home. The master bedroom has a comfy king bed with an unbelievable bathroom. We were spoiled using the fantastic shower and jacuzzi tub! Our son and daughter-in-law enjoyed the ensuite bedroom with the queen bed and wonderfully private attached sun room. Finally, the bright and cheery double bedroom has a nice-sized hallway bathroom for its use. Each morning, you awaken to freshly-made coffee and breakfast items such as bagels and English muffins at your disposal. Having a driveway in which to park up to three cars is a big plus so you don't have to hassle with on-street parking. The closest subway stop is a few short blocks away which will connect you with anywhere you wish to travel in the city. If you catch an express train, you'll be in Times Square in about 30 minutes! We made two trips to JFK airport, which is only a 12 minute drive with no traffic (not counting time spent trying to pull up at the arrival terminal...have fun!). Austin Street with its great variety of restaurants and shops is a short walk away. It's also nice to walk in the more residential section of Forest Hills where the former U.S. Open stadium is located. Even though the house is located near the highway, the school next door buffers the noise, so it's very quiet at the house. One day, we even walked to Citi Field to watch a Mets game. It's about an hour walk, which takes you through the old NY World's Fair grounds and past the current U.S. Open Tennis Center. Do not hesitate to stay at Ruth's place for a visit to the Big Apple!   Comments: This was an amazing BNB that actually felt like the old-fashioned BNBs with all of the amenities, social interaction with host(s) and wonderful touches throughout the spaces. It was INCREDIBLY comfortable in all regards. Private spaces were roomy, clean and well-stocked with everything we needed -- and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. My husband wants to find the same mattress for home! Our teenage daughter enjoyed having her own little suite adjoining our room to lounge and sleep comfortably on her own. We were lucky enough to meet the homeowners during a busy holiday weekend and they were delightful and as kind as could be. We also enjoyed meeting their resident helper, Dave, a member of the family (and therefore well-invested in our comfort and positive experience) and a joy to spend time with, along with his trusty companion, Taco -- an absolutely beautiful rescue dog who made missing our dog back home much easier. If you are not a dog person, Dave is extremely conscious of your comfort and keeps him on a leash and constrained to a 3rd floor living area away from guests unless you indicate a comfort level with the dog -- so no worries if you don't want a dog around (though for us it was truly a bonus!!). The home is beautiful, conveniently located, includes generous amenities and easy neighborhood parking (and the driveway is available to share with proper organization/arrangements with keys if you need). We hope to make this a regular spot when we are visiting family in NY. It was easy enough to get on highway to Little Neck or Brooklyn, and just SO comfortable. Ruth and Carlos, the homeowners, are kind and seemed genuinely happy to have us. I would not hesitate to recommend this AirBnB to anyone at any time. Just the best!

  Comments: Super comfortable and cozy to stay! Ruth's place is exactly as it is described in the pictures and it's super convenient to get to the city from there! Just barely a 5 min walk to the F/E trains and a very safe neighborhood so you don't even feel unsafe walking back in the late evenings. Ruth's place is so cozy it feels like home away from home, and after spending a full day out walking NYC, we felt so relaxed coming back and sleeping. Would definitely stay here again!
