  Comments: Ati was a great host. He responded quickly to all of our questions, requests, and concerns. On numerous occasions I texted him and he responded within minutes. In regards to the flat, there were definitely pros and cons. Pros: great view, elevator, air conditioning, full size fridge and fully stocked kitchen ideal for eating in. Cons: The flat is not great for tall people... the kitchen and back bedroom both have fairly low sloped ceilings. The hot water was unpredictable but I didn't bring this to Ati's attention so I'm sure he would fix it. There was a strong chemical odor almost like a hair salon that seemed to come and go. Also there seemed to be a mold/mildew problem in the bathroom. I know this is common in old buildings but with the humidity it was particularly bothersome. Overall I had a great time staying here. In my experience with Istanbul flats this was a normal experience. I would also mention that the flat is smaller than the photos make it look. Luckily the balcony is nice ;) In regards to the neighborhood, it's a fantastic location especially if you plan on doing touristy stuff but want to also be close to Taksim. It's a 5 minute walk uphill to Taksim and a 10 minute walk downhill to get the Tram which can take you to all of the sites like Sultan Ahmet, Top Kapi, and the Bazaars. You can also easily walk to the Kabatas ferry station. I felt totally safe in the neighborhood. There is a lot of construction so it's not the most beautiful street in the city but it's convenience makes it worth it. Overall I would recommend this flat. Like I said, any problems that were brought to Ati's attention were dealt with promptly so that was great. Thanks so much!

  Comments: Ati’s apartment is in a great location in New Town. A bus goes straight from the airport to Taksim Sqaure and the apartment is a couple of blocks from Taksim square and only a tad furthur in the opposite direction to the T1 tram that is easy to maneuver. It connects New Town to Old Town and makes it really easy (and cheap!) to get around. The place also has a fantastic balcony with a lovely view. While Ati was a responsive communicator, we did have an issue with meeting up to get the house keys. Something came up and he was unable to meet the first person in our party to arrive. This made it very difficult to access the apartment since she told him that her phone would not work in Istanbul beforehand. The neighbors who had the keys didn't seem well informed that we were coming and there is a trick to opening the door that is not very intuitive. After a long day of traveling, it is notable that this process could have been much smoother. The only other issue that we had was with the hot water. During our stay, the hot water was very unreliable and alternated between ice cold and scalding hot, when it worked at all. Ati was responsive, came to take a look, but couldn't seem to get repairmen out to fix the problem(it seems the hot water heater failed). The water problem was a bit out of Ati's control. He was very apologetic about the meet up. He bought us a beer, stayed in contact and let us leave our bags past check out time on the day we had to leave since we had a late flight. He also suggested a great place for us to eat. Other than the 2 issues, we had a lovely stay and found the apartment to be a perfect fit for the three of us!

  Comments: This accomodation was perfect for us which make feel us come to again. Ati gave us spare keys and let us keep our luggage after checking out. The accomodation was warm and had great view, big space for three people, plus, his response was very prompt. We had lovely time in his accomodation except that we had to go upside with heavy luggage to get to his house.

  Comments: At first I was kind of annoyed because Ati's friend wasn't punctual and I (as a woman) had to wait alone in the dark street while it was raining. So I didn't feel comfortable. But when he came the host was very nice and explained everything. He even gave me his telephone numbe for any kind of questions. But unfortunately he didn't bring two sets of key as it was agreed beforehand. About the apartment: It is very nice, clean and comfortable. But a high table with normal chairs is missing to have a decent dinner. This apartment is clearly more suitable in summer times. There is a nice balcony and a barbecue. In winter it's a bit too cold although we turned all heaters on. And unfortunately it is not possible to heat the rooms and the water at the same time. When we wanted to take a shower it took more time to find the right water temperature than to shower actually... On our departure day we could leave our baggage in a room next to the apartment and pick it up in the evening.

  Comments: Ati turned to be a responsible host ready to help or give advice anytime we need, making our stay truly comfortable. The flat itself is perfectly located - only 5 min walk to Taksim from where you may easily get to any location by metro, bus or funicular. Still to reach many of must-visit places like İstiklal Avenue or Galata tower you won't have to use public transport. There are also late-hours shops near the flat so we could buy some products mostly any time we need. The place is firmly recommended to stay.

  Comments: Nice apartment under the roof in a calm location, with a balcony and a view. It is well located (close to Taksim) for public tranports and for going out. Ati (the host) reacts quickly when contacted. Drawbacks: as the bedroom is under the roof, we had a lot of noise because of pidgeons walking and cooing in the morning. Also the WiFi didn't work during several days. I would recommend this nice flat except if you're tall (because of the roof), if you have a shallow sleep in the morning or if you need a reliable internet connection.

  Comments: Hi all, We had a wonderful time visiting Istanbul, and one of the reasons was Ati's appartment. It is super close to Taksim square, which is perfect for planning all the public transport connections needed to reach all interesting places... Ati himself was very helpful all the time. For example, we had little problems to connect to the WIFI in the house and he fixed it as soon as he could. Or the last day of our journey, when we needed to leave the luggage for a couple of hours while our last quick visit to the city before leaving, he allowed us to keep it in the flat…. We absolutely recommend this place! Thank you for everything…

  Comments: Staying in this apartment is one of the best decisions we made for our Turkey trip. Ati was very responsive before the trip and stay accessible on (Hidden by Airbnb) throughout. He welcomed us at the apartment and made sure we know where everything we need is and made sure we know we can ask him anything during our stay. The apartment is good and true to description. Amazing view to wake up in the morning and only ten minutes walk from taksim square and close to underground and nightlife. WiFi was available but couldn't vouched for it cuz we were using our sim card. Hot water and heater works and you get simple cooking equipments which was good. I did hear the pigeons in the morning and night time as someone mentioned but I wasn't bothered even I am a light sleeper. Overall a lovely experience, one thing to be careful though, one night I was quite drunk and since the gate at the ground floor of the building was quite heavy, I hurt my finger and the cut was quite deep ... But it was more me than anyone's fault so just be careful lol. Pick this place you won't regret!

  Comments: It was below the tourist area in the new city, not the old historical center. It was on a steep hill that a driver has to back out of up the street. There are many stairs to get down to some local restaurants. BUT it was real and not plastic or removed from the way of life of many citizens. I felt very safe and people were super friendly in the neighborhood. There was an elevator and the bed was really comfortable. The ceiling was low in the bedroom and kitchen so one has to bend and being 6 feet I would hit my head. It was cold at night and heat was not on. I could barely get into the shower because the door was stuck. No internet and no response from Ati when I emailed and called him. Communication was a problem both with owner and internet. I missed some important correspondence.

  Comments: 탁심광장에서 아주 가까운 곳. 걸어서 10분거리에 있고 탁심광장에서 찾기 쉬운 위치에 있어서 편리했습니다. 언덕을 내려가는길이라 갈때는 괜찮았는데 큰 트렁크를 가지고 있어서 다시 나올때는 조금 힘들었습니다. 그래두 다시 이스탄불에 오게된다면 꼭 이곳에 머물고 싶습니다. 아티의 집은 너무너무 훌륭한 뷰를 가지고 있어 마음이 평화로운 시간을 보냈습니다. 집도 깨끗하고 침대도 편안했으며 너무 멋진 작은 테라스에서 아름다운 신혼여행의 밤을 보냈습니다. 아티도 너무 친절해서 좋았습니다

  Comments: The apartment is nice and cosy - we were very happy with it ! The bedroom and kitchen have a sloping ceiling which is a bit difficult to not bump in to - but it I still think it was perfectly comfortable. The balcony is lovely to sit in and enjoy a meal or some drinks in the evening with a nice view of the sea. The bathroom shower cabinet is broken and doesn't shut - hope Ati fixes this soon ! Some reviewers have complained about the wifi but Ati had sent me the passwords beforehand and it worked well. Communication with Ati was a bit slow but didn't pose much of a problem. There is a steep hill to reach the apartment (as in most of Istanbul) but this can be easily avoided by taking two sets of stairs which was a great relief ! It took barely 7 mins to walk to Taksim square (which has a lot of shops/cafes/bars/restaurants and the metro) and has a few mini supermarkets 2-3 mins away which have all the essentials. The only thing that wasn't that easy was that we were reaching the airport at 9am but the apartment was only ready at 2pm as Ati had guests before. He did allow us to come in and leave our bags and take the keys at 1pm while the cleaning lady was there which was very helpful but I wish I had known this before making the booking as I may have tried booking a place with an earlier check in time. As the time is not on the description page - I suggest you check with Ati what time you can check in before booking if you are planning to come in early ! All in all, we really liked the apartment - and I would definitely choose this place for my next stay in Istanbul !

  Comments: We booked an Air Bnb with Ati but he had some sort of crisis with his cleaning lady (she had to go to the hospital in the morning?), so when we arrived at the Air Bnb it wasn't clean or ready. We were told to come back in 20 minutes and the place would be clean and ready, but when we returned a few hours later, the bed was unmade and there were no clean towels or linens to be found anywhere in the house. We booked a hotel and left the apartment as we found it because it was not up to the basic standards of hospitality that we were promised. Ati issued a full refund for the Air Bnb without conflict.

  Comments: le logement vaut par sa vue incroyable sur les maisons accrochées à la colline et le Bosphore . C'est encore plus joli la nuit avec le ballet des bateaux éclairés de toutes tailles. On ne se lasse pas. La terrasse est vraiment le point fort de l'appartement même si les chaises sont un peu branlantes. La situation est vraiment intéressante, au coeur d'Istanbul et calme, tout près de Taksim et de Cihangir : il faut juste monter, la pente des rues est raide, mais c'est partout le cas dans ce coin et cela fait le charme de la ville. Il faut juste ne pas être allergique aux escaliers et prendre son souffle. Pour l'arrivée , c'est la femme de ménage qui nous a rejoint pour nettoyer l'appartement vers 15h , nous avons déposer nos bagages, profiter de la terrasse puis sommes partis découvrir la ville. En rentrant tout était propre, l'équipement est minimal mais suffisant. La climatisation marche très bien. La porte de la douche n'est toujours pas réparée- cf les avis précédents - mais c'est gérable et super pression , agréable... bas de plafond pour chambre et cuisine, très grand s'abstenir... Pour résumer un appartement dont la situation est vraiment agréable, le quartier est tranquille et voisinage sympathique....

  Comments: We spent a full week at the Bosphorus apartment and it was great! The location is perfect (near Taksim and Cianghir young & trendy area), the view amazing, and Ati was a very kind host. He helped us understand the city better, gave us some good addresses, checked in on us several times and offered to take us out or meet up with him to get a feel of Istanbul nights. The apartment is well furnished with an elevator in the building and air conditioning. Tall people, be careful as the roof is a bit low in some parts of the flat. Otherwise, don't hesitate, the view is unique!

  Comments: Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt und wir können sie auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Ein absoluter Highlight war es Morgens und Abends vom Balkon aus auf den Bosporus zu blicken. Ati haben wir nicht kennengelernt, aber was die Wohnung betrifft war alles in Ordnung. Die Lage ist auch super. 5 min zum Taksim und ca. 10 min bis zur Strassenbahn. Thank you Ati :)

  Comments: Ati was a very helpful host, although we did not meet in person, he was easy to contact and responded quickly. Flexible check in/out times were a bonus. Apartment was even better than expected (photos do not do it enough justice)! Terrace is lovely in the evenings with the sun setting and a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and Cihangir. The apartment was clean and had everything you could need...hairdryer, towels, washing-up supplies, water in the fridge etc. The area of town was great for us, lots of quirky bars and restaurants towards Kabatas, Karakoy and Taksim all within 10 minutes walk.   Comments: The apartment has a spacious private terrace with a big table, BBQ and a great view to the Bosphorus' exit to the Marmara Sea. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed like hair dryer, iron and washing machine (except for some small unimportant issues). The photographs represent the apartment precisely. Easy access to Taksim square, and, so, from and to both airports and metro, also the Fındıklı tram station is just 5 minutes walk and Kabataş is 10–15 minutes walk, so the ferries are nearby. There are lots of small shops and cafes in the neighbourhood, and also supermarkets if you wish. The bedroom is quite small and has low ceiling (as seen in the pictures) because of the topmost floor, but don't you just sleep horizontally there? =) Ati, the host, was very friendly, but came to our appointment a bit late. I hope it was just a mere accident because of our plane's late arrival. Flexible check-in and check-out times are a nice bonus. Thanks Ati! =)

  Comments: Ati is a nice person, though we didn't meet himself, he sent his friend to meet us at the house front door and provided the help we needed during the stay. The location is quite good, several minutes walk to see shore, tram station and Taksim Square. The apartment is clean and spacious for 2 of us, view is good from the balcony.   Comments: Thanks to Ati we had an amazing time in Istanbul. The flat was perfectly situated and the view from the balcony was just great! Ati provided us with all the information we needed and even showed us around in Istanbul. We were really lucky to have such a great host and I can only recommend staying at this accommodation! Anytime I visit Istanbul again, I would definitely book the same apartment. Small hint: If you are arriving from Austria and you want to make Ati's day/week/month brighter, just take some "Mozartkugeln" with you :).

  Comments: Atilim всегда на связи. Мы рано приехали и он нашел возможность нас заселить раньше чем мы договоривались. После нас никто не планировал заселяться и хозяин без проблем дал возможность остаться до вечера и потом просто захлопнуть дверь (у нас был поздний выезд). От Таксим рядом, но я рекомендую заранее уточнить адрес и найти его на схеме (карте). Потому что мы первый раз долго искали и местные нам помогали.

  Comments: Host had organised check in and out clearly, he was at work so never met him. location is very close to taksim. although had no idea that area is pretty hilly. One thing like to point out is the pigeon noise above bedroom roof. kept us awake from early morning - not ideal. So we slept in the living room instead on sofa bed which was fine.

  Comments: Very good information from the host! Not only about practical stuff but also recommendations for restaurants, cafes and bars. The photos and information in the ad are correct. The apartment is very close to Taksim and Cihangir where there are lots of thing to see and places to explore. It was however hard to sleep in the bedroom since there are doves (?) living on the roof above it and they were loud. We used the bedsofa in the living room instead.

  Comments: The apartment was great - very clean, loved the view off the balcony! The shower door was broken but it wasn't a problem for us. We had an issue with the keys not working when we arrived but Atilim came quickly and was able to sort it out within an hour or so, he also showed us the main street a bit and gave us good information on where to eat/drink/go out. There was an explosion in the city (very rare) and he immediately contacted us to make sure we were OK and to advise us not to go near that area. Would definitely recommend the apartment. Thanks!

  Comments: Emme tavanneet majoittajaa vaan soitin hänelle läheltä asuntoa ja avaimet olivat kuulemma mailboxissa mutta sen löytämiseen meni aikaa ja oven löytämiseen koska hän sanoi vääriä numeroita. akadulla oleva mies auttoi meitä!! Kaikki meni lopulta hyvin ja wifi toimi hyvin sekä tuli lämmintä vettä. Asunnon keittiö haisi todella pahalta kokoajan ja linnut katolla alkoivat häiritsemään aamuyöstä joka yö todella kova meteli joka yö niistä. Suihkun ovi ei toiminut myöskään edes valmiiksi joten aina märkänä koko wc suihkun jälkeen. Ilmastointia emme käyttäneet kertaakaan.

The price of the apartment was awesome but the washing machine didn't work and the apartment smelled funny. Another plus. though, was the AC since we visited Istanbul during a very hot week in June. Also, Atilim sent us a detailed list of recommendations in the area that was very helpful.

  Comments: The apartment was v nicr. close to taskim square on a quiet street. I was able go to the market and cook in the kitchen. sitting on the balcony at night was really lovely. Atilim was so helpful. He helped he find a taxi at short notice. He liaised with my dentist when I was running late for my apoinment. He sent someone over to do my laundry when I couldn't get the washing machine to work. I can't begin to thank Atilim enough. He is kind, thoughtful.

  Comments: A nice place with an amazing side view of the Bosphorus. It is situated a short walk away from Taksim square. There's a steep slope which should be ok with most travelers but is not convenient for some old people or those having cardiac problems. The design of the apartment is such that the person or people staying in the bedroom will have complete privacy and feel far from the person or people staying in the living room. Atilim was kind and professional. There was a problem with the washing machine so he asked the cleaning lady to wash my clothes somewhere and hang them to dry in the apartment the same day! I complained about the AC (it was a very hot weekend) so he came with the technician to check it up.

  Comments: Le logement au dernier étage (5eme) accessible en ascenseur est très bien situé à quelques minutes de marche de la place Taksim dans une petite rue en pente très calme. Un espace très bien pour 2 personnes, grande chambre sans rangement, cuisine sympa et petit salon avec sofa et TV. Le plus est bien sur la terrasse avec une belle vue sur la ville et le bosphore. Lieu idéal pour le petit dejeuner et prendre l'apéro le soir au coucher de soleil. Un plus serait un rideau plus épais dans le salon pour bien stopper le soleil car il y fait très chaud (le climatiseur est un peu leger pour la surface de l'appartement) et un rideau de douche dans la salle de bain serai idéal. Je conseille vraiment cet appartement, je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de rencontrer Alilim mais il a toujours répondu rapidement à mes demandes par sms ou message. Je reviendrai à Istanbul et surrement dans cet appartement !

The only one I didn't like there that part o the apartment part and specifically bedroom and kitchen has a really low ceiling, and I'm a tall guy and this was a problem. But at the same time l used a living for sleep and it was fine. For me it was nice the place has a nice terrace. Отличная квартира за эти деньги. Хороший хост. В нескольких минутах ходьбы от метро и Taksim squre. Единственно что не понравилось это то что в части квартиры, в спальне и кухни низкий потолок. Но я спал в гостиной и это не было проблемой. The only thing that might be a problem is the fact there are lots of pigeons living in the roof, which often sounded like there were people in the house.   Comments: Die wohnung von Atilim ist sehr gut gelegen. Man ist in kurzer zeit beim Taksim Platz und dann an der Istikal street, wo alle wichtigen Geschäfte sind. Im moment kann man auch die madame tusson ausstellung bewundern. Die strassenbahn ist auch nur 5 minuten entfernt. Mit dieser sind sie in kurzer zeit beim gewürzmarkt, der blauen mosche, hagia sofia und dem grand bazar. Man hat von der wohnung einen schönen ausblick auf das Marmara Meer. Die wohnung hat von morgens bis abends sonne. Die wohnung ist super für 2 personen. Ich kann die wohnung nur empfehlen. Ich habe die wohnung im märz wieder gebucht.

  Comments: We had a good stay in the appartment of Atilim. It has a great location, right near subway and trams and gives you a great view form the terrace. Atilim was very helpful in giving directions to get to the place, even with our plane arriving late (1 at night). Only minor point is that there are some birds on the roof in the bedroom making some noise, which can be a bit irritating at some point.

Du kannst in hier nach den Einkäufen auf der Terrasse abschalten und die Aussicht auf den Bosporus geniessen. Ich kenne Istanbul sehr gut, da ich schon über 20 Mal in dieser wunderbaren Stadt war. Sie ist immer wieder eine Reise wert. Diese Wohnung ist sehr gut gelegen. Wenn man nicht nach oben laufen will, nimmt man die Metro von Kabatas nach Taksim und spaziert von da nach unten. Überall findest du Einkaufsläden um etwas mit in die Wohnung zu nehmen. Du hast die so viele Möglichkeiten von dieser Wohnung aus. Sie liegt sehr gut und man kann alles in kürzester Zeit erreichen. Alles in allem buchen Sie diese Wohnung - klein fein und alles was man braucht - ich denke Sie werden nicht enttäuscht sein. Die Tauben können am Morgen nerven, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Etwas gibt es überall. Auf jeden Fall wünsche ich wunderbare Tage in Istanbul. Diese Stadt ist immer eine Reise wert. Für mich auf jeden Fall.

It's within walking distance to Istiklal and Chihangir and the tram stop that will take you into Karakoy, Eminonu, and Sultanahmet. The living room and patio are sunny and have great views. Когда мы заехали - в комнатах было жарко и мы, кроме кондиционера, включили вентилятор. Шум от вентилятора напоминал полёт в самолёте и ни одного голубя не было слышно. Вентилятор ставили в кухне - рекомендую для желающих остановиться в этом месте.

  Comments: Хороший район - рядом транспорт (прямая линия до Галата бридж), недалеко до паромов, есть локальный и сетевой супермаркет, рядом с Таксим с кафе и магазинами, лифт в подъезде, подъезд закрывается. Квартира небольшая, низкие потолки - но это не мешает особо. Спать в спальне невозможно - очень громкие птицы - то есть минус одна комната и спальное место. Диван раскладывается в другой комнате, но он расшатаный, не супер комфортно спать, но хоть тихо. С двух сторон террасы - соседи. Их видно. Вид с террасы хороший. Не работает холодильник (в жаркую погоду!) - вернее, работает слегка морозилка, но ее не хватает, если вы хотите купить свежую рыбу или мясо. Горячая вода есть, но плохо регулируется - либо слишком горячая, либо холодная. Вся кухонная утварь есть, в принципе. Мангал тоже есть, можно пользоваться. Это хорошо. Мы уезжали вечером, а следующие жильцы заселялись в этот же день. Но хозяин квартиры разрешил оставить сумки до отъезда в отдельном помещении. За что ему спасибо. В целом, квартира ничего, но хуже ожидаемого.

  Comments: God lokation og udsigt! Vi var der i 6 dage og nød at sidde på balkonen og se ud over Taxim. Det skal nævnes at køleskabet ikke virker særligt godt. Fryseren holder tingene kolde, men fryser ikke. Vand trykket i bruseren er ustabilt. Det varme vand er også ret ustabilt. Det kommer og gå og er svært at indstille. På taget over soveværelset bor en del store fugle, hvilket larmer ret meget om natten. Vi måtte flytte ind i stuen på sofaen for at få sovet. Flere gange troede vi at nogen havde brudt ind i lejligheden, så meget larmede det. Kan alligevel godt anbefale stedet, trods kritikpunkterne.

  Comments: Très bon séjour. L’appartement est propre, pratique. La vue sur le Bosphore et Istanbul est très belle. Il convient très bien pour 4 personnes. L’hôte n’a pu être present, mais il est très réactif, quasiment dans la minute à la moindre de question (nous avons discuté par whatapps). Il nous a conseillé des adresses, donné des informations... Le seul point gênant peut être le bruit que font les oiseaux, leurs nids étant très proche de la fenêtre. Mais c’est normal en prenant un logement sous les toits!

  Comments: The house was fine and the position it’s good if you have to be around Taksim square you just have to go up and down for few back streets. The host wasn’t there when we arrived but this is fine because we did a bit of late. The house was clean but full of ants everywhere the bed it’s a bit uncomfortable because on the right side you fall down. For the price i paid was a good solution for few days in Istanbul but for the same price if you book in advance you can find better places considering my personal experience there. However loved İstanbul and the people in Istanbul I wish you’ll love it too

  Comments: We had a really pleasant stay at the apartment, close to all important sights (by walking or train) of European side of Istanbul. Inmidst of beautiful Beyoglu. Everything needed was provided, but the only reason for giving four instead of five stars are the loud pigeons on the roof of the bedroom. Even with ear plugs it was unpleasant. The host is very hostile and took us to a very authentic Turkish restaurant and invited us to drink the famous Raki. Thank you for the stay!

  Comments: Da mein bevorzugtes Apartment in Istanbul nicht frei war, wählte ich dieses. Und es war eine gute Wahl. Das Apartment ist sehr schön und sauber, die Einteilung ist zweckmäßig und gut durchdacht, die Aussicht auf den Bosporus vom Balkon ist grandios, auch das gegenüberliegende Häusermeer ist faszinierend. Die Lage ist perfekt. Ich habe meine Ausflüge meistens mit der Tramway in Findikli begonnen. Zurückgekehrt bin ich mit der Metro oder dem Füniküler nach Taksim, so vermied ich den steilen Hang. Die Gegend ist sicher, nachts ist es ruhig, denn es sind keine Lokale in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Krach der Tauben war für mich kein Problem, denn ich habe einen guten und tiefen Schlaf. Atilim war sehr hilfsbereit, Probleme wurden sofort gelöst.
