  Comments: First of all I would like to say great thanks to Claudia & her wonderful apartment! Our staying in Porto was the best part of our Portugal trip. Claudia is the kindest person, very friendly and very responsive. She was always in touch to help or give any advice or recommendation. Her wonderful apartment has a great location and there are some interesting features such as street elevator or a few entrances to the yard near. The view from the windows is really fantastic! There are a lot of space inside, apartment is very clean, and comfortable. There are national Portugal azulejo on the walls. I'm sure that you will be pleasant to spend a time there :)

  Comments: What an amazing city and what a great apartment to visit it from! It's situation half way between the cathedral and the Cais de Ribeira means you have a fantastic view of the Ponte Luis I and direct access to the back streets of this old part of the town. The area has loads of charm and the apartment sits in the heart of it. The apartment itself has everything you're likely to need when on holiday, being clean and well appointed! Claudia was fantastic, from the warm welcome after we had been delayed, to giving advice on local services. All in all, it was a great welcome to a cosy apartment in an amazing city!

  Comments: Super séjour à l'appartement et que dire de l'accueil, exceptionnel! L'appartement est vraiment génial grâce d'abord à son emplacement qui offre une vue magnifique sur le pont et le Douro, ensuite, il est situé dans le cœur historique de porto et enfin, tout près du pont à traverser pour visiter les caves à vins et surtout déguster leurs produits.   Comments: Pluies diluviennes, peut-être mauvaise estimation du temps nécessaire... on est arrivés avec un bon quart d'heure de retard sur l'horaire prévu... mais Cláudia était bien là, mouillée mais très souriante à côté de la cathédrale. On est descendus à l'appartement (Porto est tout sauf une ville plate) en discutant moitié en français moitié en portugais. Cláudia nous a très gentiment montré les quelques petites choses à savoir sur l'appartement, et tout expliqué sur les nombreux itinéraires de sortie possible (vers le haut de la ville, vers le fleuve...). L'appartement est encore plus grand que l'impression qu'il donne sur les photos, très très agréable dans sa blancheur rehaussée d'azulejos... et la vue, vraiment merveilleuse, fait oublier les quelques marches qu'il faut gravir pour l'atteindre.

  Comments: Cláudia est vraiment super, accueillante, très sympa, au petit soins dés notre arrivé. L'appartement est parfait, le salon-salle à manger est spacieux, la salle de bain aussi et très joliment décorée, la chambre à coucher est très bien, La cuisine ouverte est très bien équipée pour se faire à manger. Il est bien insonorisé, propre et bien équipé. Pour la vue, les photos parlent d'elles mêmes, mais à la tombé de la nuit c'est vraiment magnifique. Il est idéalement situé au cœur du Ribeira, derrière la cathédrale. Juste à coté de l'appartement, il y a un ascenseur qui donne directement accès aux rives du Douro (ouvert de 9h à 19h), nickel. Il y a quelques marchent à emprunter pour accéder à l'appartement, mais rien d'insurmontable, nous étions un couple avec un bébé (donc poussette), ça se fait les yeux fermés. On peut visiter pas mal de chose à pied en partant de l'appart, gare de São Bento, à 3 minutes, caves de Porto, juste en face à 10 minutes et les rives du Douro à 3 minutes. On reviendra un jour, c'est sur. Merci Cláudia

  Comments: We were originally going to stay with Cláudia's flat along with our friends, but have decided to extend our trip and booked another flat. Cláudia has been very understanding and very welcoming with our friends who stayed at the lovely and well decorated apartment in the centre of the old down. She also kept their luggage in a safe place as they arrived very early in the day prior to the previous guests departure. Cláudia took the time to show them everything in the flat that they needed to know about. If you want to be near the river and Ribeira then this is an excellent location. There are great restaurants very close and we could chose between the more touristy places on the river and some lovely eateries on the back streets.

  Comments: Très bon accueil de Cláudia qui nous a fixé une rencontre en ville en soirée lors de notre arrivée tardive et nous a guidé jusqu'à l'appartement. Tout est conforme à l'annonce. L'appartement est bien placé dans la vieille ville, la vue sur le Douro est parfaite, l'équipement est complet, la déco est sobre et agréable, le couchage est confortable, la salle de bain est grande et bien équipée, tout est prévu pour un agréable séjour. Cláudia est aux petits soins, il y avait même de quoi prendre nos premiers petits déjeuners ainsi que quelques jeux pour enfant. Prévoir tout de même la montée et la descente de pas mal de marches d'escaliers pour bénéficier de la vue, cela permet une digestion rapide après avoir testé les bons restaurants de Porto. L’ascenseur qui mène aux quais est à 20 mètres mais ne fonctionne pas le soir et les weekends. Nous reviendrons volontiers chez Cláudia que nous remercions pour ses attentions et sa gentillesse.

  Comments: Claudia was a great host!! She made it so easy from the booking, to the information from the airport to the apartment. She even came to pick us at the metro station when we arrived. The apartment is really nice. The geographical situation makes it special and the view is really amazing. A few steps away from the river and a lot of restaurants, the neighborhood is very safe. Regarding restaurants Claudia won't hesitate in sharing her tips for all the nice places around. Yes you will have to face the steps at the end of the day, but the place deserves it and it will allow you to eat more pasteis… I hope to come back soon, thank you Claudia :)

  Comments: Hemos pasado cuatro días alojadas en el apartamento de Claudia y ha cumplido todas las expectativas. El apartamento es amplio, tiene todo lo necesario, está superlimpio y además es personal en su decoración, lo que lo hace muy recomendable. Reconocemos que los azulejos nos llamaron la atención y fueron un punto más para elegir este lugar y no otro. Un 10 para la vista sobre el Duero, inmejorable, y un 10 también para la atención que dispensa Claudia como anfitriona. Ha estado pendiente de nosotras, contestando rápido cuando le hemos preguntado algo y además es encantadora y detallista. Todo se corresponde con lo que Claudia cuenta en su anuncio. Y además nos avisó de que está en una zona en cuesta. Es tan céntrico que eso no es un problema.

  Comments: Cláudia war eine exzellente Gastgeberin und hat uns – obwohl wir zu später Stunde angereist sind – mit offenen Armen empfangen, uns sogar an der Metro abgeholt. Die Wohnung ist mindestens genauso schön wie auf den Bildern, in echt ist der Ausblick jedoch fast unschlagbar. Das Apartment liegt in der Altstadt und sämtliche Ausflugsziele sind gut zu Fuß bzw. durch die nahe Metro-Station leicht erreichen. Eine Top-Adresse in Porto!

  Comments: Cládia est une hôte attentionnée et sympathique. Son appartement très agréable à vivre et la vue est superbe. Ce fut l'occasion pour moi de connaître Porto que j'ai vaillamment arpenté de long en large pendant cinq jours c'est une ville magnifique qui à gardé du passé des bâtiments historiques comme des constructions populaires et dont des initiatives contemporaines comme la casa la Casa da Música ou "l'aménagement à usages croisés" à côté de la Torre dos Clérigos sont à mon avis particulièrement réussies. Je vous recommande de bonnes chaussures et une certaine énergie pour visiter la ville et rejoindre l'appartement de Cláudia c'est LA condition mais vous en serez largement récompensé.

Elle nous a aidé à décharger la voiture, nous a fait visiter l'appartement sublime; elle nous avait acheté du café, de l'huile, des gâteaux: accueil très chaleureux.   Comments: Claudia was super welcoming and helpful, and the flat is lovely – she warned us beforehand that it's a bit of a challenge to get to, but it's worth it! Perfectly situated with lovely views in A Ribeira, a short walk from all of the surrounding bars and restaurants and an easy walk across the bridge to all of the Port houses.

  Comments: Claudia was a really helpful host. I stayed with my husband from 16th to 19th September. She met us at the Sao Bento train station and walked with us to the apartment. First impressions did not disappoint and the apartment has a spectacular view over the river and it feels like you are almost on the bridge as its so close. Claudia was really helpful giving us clear instructions and keys and how to access the flat which is a little complicated. The flat is well equipped very clean and quiet. We slept well. Porto was lovely and we crammed a lot into our short stay I wasn't prepared fro the steps and hills but in a way it added to the experience. We went up the tower, over the bridge, walked to the market, ate at the Majestic, visited the "Harry Potter 'inspied lib ray. Went to Foz visited several churches and the Tiles everywhere are amazing. I will return one day as we didn't manage several things but the whole short stay was fabulous. thank you.

  Comments: I've just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Azueljo Porto Riverside. Claudia was the perfect host and did everything to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The apartment is beautiful and the views from all rooms, to Luis 1 Bridge, and down to the riverside, are amazing!. it's so quiet and peaceful here, but you are also located close to everything. The bars and restaurants are along the riverside below the apartment, you are a few steps away to the beautiful cathedral. The centre of Porto, Sao Bento train station is less than 10 mins walk. There is so much to do and see here in the beautiful city of Porto, our only regret was that we did not stay longer!. I have no hesitation to recommend Claudia's place, enjoy!

  Comments: Estuvimos 5 noches en el piso de Claudia y la verdad es que nuestra estancia no hubiera podido ser más agradable. El piso es mejor aún que en las fotos, las vistas sobre el Duero y el puente son especulares, tienes mucha luz. Su ubicación es una de las mejores para hospedarse en Oporto, una ciudad muy hermosa, cerca de la catedral, del Duero, de la plaça da liberdade. Sin hablar de Claudia, una anfitriona muy simpática, agradable y cercana. Sin lugar a duda os recomiendo este piso.

  Comments: Claudia war eine fantastische Gastgeberin. Obwohl wir erst Mitternacht anreisen konnten, hat Sie uns in der Nähe der Unterkunft abgeholt und eingewiesen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr zentral gelegen, gut ausgestattet und hat bietet eine großartige Aussicht. Auf den Umstand, dass die Wohnung über mehrere Treppen zu erreichen ist, hat uns Claudia vorab hingewiesen. Das hat uns nicht gestört. Trotz schlechten Wetters haben wir unseren Aufenthalt in Porto auch dank der schönen Unterkunft genossen.

  Comments: Claudia was a wonderful host - lots of communication before arrival and a clear plan was made to meet us at Sao Bento station which was a 10 minute walk to the apartment. Claudia helped carry our bags down the many steps to reach the apartment and gave us a guided tour and lots of information on things to do in Porto before she left. The apartment has the most wonderful view of Luis I bridge and the river. It is very clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay including fast wifi. There were even a few basic food items to make a drink & snack. The apartment is ideally positioned but you have to negotiate lots of steps either up into the centre of town or down to the river. There is a lift to access the river level which operates til 7pm. The apartment was very quiet but within minutes you were in the centre of the Ribeira with lots of places to eat & drink along with a small food shop from which you can get the basics. Porto is a wonderful city and across the river are the Port houses and a cycle path to Vila Nova de Gaia which runs along the stunning wild Atlantic coast. I would definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in Porto Thank you Claudia

  Comments: A wonderful place to stay for a couple of days off and we couldn´t think of a better host than Cláudia! Quick answers on our questions from the beginning to the end. Since this was our first time using Airbnb we needed a little extra info before deciding. Cláudia helped us with everthing not only regarding the apartment but also Porto as a Place to visit. Restaurants, boat trip etc. The apartment was perfectly placed at the Douro river and the restaurants by the riverside. On the other side of the bridge we had all the Portwine stores and a few meters to the boattrips. Could´nt be better. A nice view, well equipped apartment with everything you need. There was even some breakfast, water, coffe and other things wich was perfect for us with a late arrival. Cláudia met us at the Metrostation and walked us to the apartment a fewq blocks away even though we arrived in the middle of the night around 1.30 am.   Comments: We were welcomed warmly by Claudia despite being late because of our plane being delayed for 2 hours. Not only a warm greeting but Claudia helped us carry our luggage down the many steps to our apartment. The apartment, amazing with everything and more that we imagined. Bright, tastefully furnished and vey comfortable. The location absolutely perfect with an awesome view from our windows and after negotiating the stairs to the Ribeira, we were in amongst the action and close also to Gaia and the port cellars.   Comments: Claudia is a very warm person who makes us feel easly " at home" . She was very very helpful and gave us lot's of information to find our way in Porto. She was waiting for us when we arrived by car. You need some guidinace to find the apartment the first time. During our stay we could easily get in touch with Claudia to raise remaining questions which pops up during our stay. We had a lot of fun together when we supported the Portugese football team which we " adopted" ,as our substitute for the Dutch football team who didn't make it to the European Championship. The apartment is a perfect location to discover Porto. It's right in the centre and parking your car is no problem and even for free. The pictures were matching our expectations totally. We will recommend this apartment to all our friends.

  Comments: Thank you Claudia for giving us such a warm and wonderful welcome to Porto! This was our first experience with Airbnb and you made it excellent one. From the very beginning when we were making arrangements, you were so quick to respond to our questions and so kind. We felt welcome before we arrived. Our arrival was first class, with you meeting us directly at the train station and walking with us to the magical apartment. Honestly, it was even prettier than we had expected with the extraordinary view and luminous space. Everything is so functional and it was great to have lots of space to hang clothing and put things away. The bathroom is so large and well designed. Everything was so clean and well organized, even down to the tourist information, stacked in categories for easy access. The location is postcard perfect and one can not tire of gazing out the windows, at any time of day or night. The stairs to climb make for good excercise after indulging in delicous local food! Claudia gave us great restaurant recommendations as well as tourist activities, always going out of her way to make sure we enjoyed the best of this wonderful city. We fell in love with Porto and felt so fortunate to have spent out time in this very special place. Many, many thanks to you Claudia -- you are a wonderful host!

  Comments: We spent 5 nights in Cláudia's apartment and really loved it. It is exactly as in the picture: new, full of light and with a perfectly furnished kitchen. The azulejos (local style tiles) are gorgeous and turned every shower into a "unique experience": you don't find a bathroom decorated so beautifully every day! The location is amazing: waking up with the view of the river was a delightful experience - although, as they say in the Marvel universe: "with great views (of the river and the bridge), comes some (Website hidden by Airbnb) took me a couple of days to get used to the metro passing by every few minutes (day and night, at week ends). Bars, restaurants and the cathedral are all very close. For a tasty and affordable breakfast, try the Casa-Museu Guerra Junqueiro, at the top of the steps. We found a small fish market a few meters away from the cathedral that sold also the best fruit at rock bottom prices (about one third of the price charged by the stores near the river). The metro station is near although the steps make it feel a bit farther than what it is. You can walk to Vila Nova de Gaia (for the Porto tasting) and to Porto town itself. Cláudia was very friendly, responsive and helpful before, during and after our staying; she came to pick us up and showed us the house, and gave us a number of informative brochures and other material. She was extremely understanding and nice when we changed our time of departure from the apartment: thank you for a great staying!

  Comments: We had a wonderful 3 days at Cláudia's en Mafalda's apartment. The view on the Douro and the Bridge is phenomenal. OK, you need to do some exercising along the stairs but that comes with the charme. The apartment itself was spacious and very clean. Cláudia and Mafalda even picked us up at the metro station nearby and walked us to the apartment. They were great and helped us with touristic things and even booked a taxi for us to get to the airport very early. So thanks! A super experience, we will come back some day .... Jessica & Jos

  Comments: This is the best Airbnb experience we've had (over 10 in various countries, in the past 5 years). Cláudia and Mafalda were waiting to meet us at Se Catedral, the closest landmark. Our taxi driver took a longer route than necessary and wasn't convincing in his explanation why. Cláudia and Mafalda actually took the trouble of asking too, which was very caring of them. From Se Catedral it's an easy walk down to the apartment, which has pedestrian access only. Whilst that may be an inconvenience for a few, it does afford you privacy, peacefulness away from traffic and stupendous views ;) The pictures do not do the room justice, the views are fantastic and stretch along the Douro. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable 3 nights there and loved every minute. Cláudia and Mafalda live very close by and on hand for any issues. One day we walked past a small family gathering outside and they very kindly and with great hospitality, invited us to be with them, but we had plans, so unfortunately not able to join them that time. They were so genuine and friendly, it was heartwarming. Also Cláudia and Mafalda gave us very good dining recommendations and things to do.   Comments: We had a great stay in Claudia's flat: perfect from the start, she collected us at the station and a warm welcome. The flat has a stunning view over the river and we enjoyed watching the sunrise early in the morning. It is definitely worth the steps that takes you there!

  Comments: Nous avons passé un très bon séjour de quelques jours chez Claudia. La communication écrite en français et orale en espagnol ou anglais a été très fluide. Claudia et Mafalda nous ont accueillis à la station de métro pour nous conduire jusqu'au logement. Elles ont ensuite pris le temps de nous indiquer quelques endroits utiles et de nous expliquer le fonctionnement des commodités de l'appartement. La vue depuis toutes les pièces est tournée vers le Douro et le pont Dom Luis. C'est juste sublime, nuit et jour. C'est pour moi le gros point fort de l'appartement. L'appartement est très propre et tout est fonctionnel. Il y a quelques points à savoir : - Le logement est située dans une rue qui est un escalier. le logement est au 3/4 de la hauteur (à plusieurs dizaines de mètres au dessus du Douro). Il y a donc toujours des marches à descendre pour aller vers Ribeira ou à gravir pour aller vers le centre ville. - Le matelas du lit de la chambre est assez dur. La première nuit cela nous a surpris mais après on s'y est habitué. - Il n'y a pas de gel douche/shampoing à disposition dans la salle de bain. Ces points n'ont pour nous pas terni l'ensemble du séjour qui fut très agréable. Recommandé.

  Comments: Claudia is an awesome host - even though our plane was delayed, she met us late into the night and made sure we felt welcomed. The flat itself is amazing: astonishing views over Nova de Gaia, excellent decor, very clean throughout. All the needed things are present - dishes, utensils, hairdryer, and Claudia and Mafalda have left some snacks for us - which is very pleasant when you've just arrived from the airport! Overall, we felt at home and really enjoyed our stay - will make sure to book again next time we're in Porto.

  Comments: Loved my stay at Azulejo Porto Riverside. It's a very scenic area, the views are great and wandering around was very pleasant. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs! Claudia met me at the Sao Bento train station and brought me to the apartment, which was very helpful. It has plenty of space and everything you need. Highly recommended.

  Comments: Quelle belle expérience ! Merci à nos hôtes Claudia et Mafalda. Un appartement ultra propre, fonctionnel et décoré sobrement. Le rêve du fait de sa situation (quartier dans la Riviera classé par l'UNESCO) et du panorama qu'il offre jour et nuit. Rien à dire sauf que cette situation exceptionnelle se rejoint en quelques minutes ( de la Cathédrale ou du Douro ) uniquement par des ruelles en escaliers de pierre donc pas d'enfant en bas âge ( sauf si vous le portez), ni d'handicap physique à la marche. Ne craignez pas le bruit du métro aérien qui passe toutes les 20 minutes sur le pont, il est plus divertissant à voir que gênant. Les goélands sont bien plus bruyants et eux présents dans toute la ville. Cet appartement est tout simplement magique !

  Comments: Claudia' apartment is lovely and in a great location. Perfect for visiting all around Porto. It was very clean and really well equipped if you wanted to cook but we ate out all the time as there's so many amazing restaurants within easy walking. The view from there was amazing - couldn't have been better. Claudia was very helpful as we missed the turn into the cathedral (it doesn't look like a road ) and she came and found us and guided us back. Thank you Claudia for a great stay. Hope to be back.

  Comments: This is a really lovely apartment. Clean and spacious and well equiped with everything you could need. bathroom and kitchen are spotless. It's in a great position just above the river and next to the Ponte Louis 1 . There are many steps to the apartment both up and down and this caused us (in our 70's) and our visitor some problems and difficulty, although Claudia was very happy to carry our cases. So please be aware that this is not for anyone with mobility problems. It has a fabulous view and we stayed 9 days and were very well welcomed and looked after by Claudia.

  Comments: Claudia’s apartment is the perfect place to stay and explore all that Porto has to offer (and it has much to offer!). The apartment is situated half way up the cliff from the Ribeira (read Riviera) and the city itself. But once you have traversed the 100 steps up or the 100 steps down, which we did many time over our four nights there, you are welcomed into a beautifully renovated and well equipped apartment with stunning views up, down and across the Douro river. Cláudia and Helena could not have done more for us. They waited patiently for us to arrive and led us to the apartment while helping with our suitcases. On our departure they did the reverse and also booked us a taxi to get us to the airport with the minimum of fuss. They are the sort of hosts who give Airbnb a good name! Thanks for everything.

  Comments: We had a great time staying at Claudia’s. The view is fantastic, the apartment has great facilities and she had provided a cot and toys for our daughter. The stairs are a challenge with a pram but Claudia came and met us and helped us with our bags and it was great to be so central with everything on our doorstep. We had a lovely time.

She is the perfect host, even helping us with our bags from the car to the apartment, and gave us plenty of suggestions for places to go. Porto has a great mix of history and beaches, the Livraria Lello is a must see. We definitely went home fitter due to the steps up and down from the apartment, flat shoes are a must.

  Comments: Excellent accueil par Claudia qui est venue nous chercher au métro et nous a accompagnée a la location. L'appartement est comme décrit, très propre, fonctionnel et spacieux. La literie est top et les petites attentions nombreuses. Le point fort est bien sur la vue exceptionnelle !!! Nous avons aussi bcp aimé la localisation centrale pour se balader et revenir se reposer a mi journée (bébé et moi enceinte). Mais les marches sont bien là, il faut un peu de souffle. Cependant, on ne regrette pas nos efforts.
