  Comments: We enjoyed our stay at David's a lot. David is a very nice person and a good host. We were able to keep in touch via e-mail during our stay in case we had some questions. David also provided us with a wifi device which we could carry around with us, and that was very useful to check up the sights and places to visit. The apartment is nice and tidy, looks even better than in the pictures and has everything that is necessary. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and makes the terrace a perfect spot for late night drinks. The place is located in the hipster district of Beyoglu, Cukurcuma, which is pretty adorable with a handful of lovely cafes, especially for breakfast - best breakfast spots are within 3 min walking. It is also pretty close to main shopping street, Galata tower or Taksim square. All in all, I fully recommend David's apartment for a nice stay in Istanbul.

  Comments: The location is really good, not loud, safe, to the main shopping street 10 minutes by foot, 15 minutes till Taksim place. Near to appartments are many nice cafes and bars. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace wit really great view. The flat is big and clean. David is very nice, hospitable and helpful host. He showed us also nice places where good und cheap to eat. I am recommending Davids flat.

  Comments: Good experience in David'house. Apartment simple but with all you need. The terrasse is really nice and we appreciated to have breakfast there. Neighbourhood very nice, with a lot of nice cafés, restos, shops,... We liked it a lot. David is very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed. He was also very reactive when we sent messages.

  Comments: Staying with David was like staying with an old friend I had not seen for a while. My wife and I felt so comfortable and at home in his apartment and we are very grateful for this. Davids apartment is in an amazing location, 5 mins to Istiklal street (pedestrian shopping street), 5mins from Taksim Gezi park and 10 mins from the Havatas Bus stop near Taksim square. The area he is in is also great, with lots of great cafes, restaurants, antique stores and supermarkets. David gave us some great recommendations on where to eat and what to see and the view from his balcony is unbelievable. The bed was also very comfortable. Davids internet was broken when we visited, though he bought a new router and was trying to get it fixed. David's place was also a little unclean, due to him being very busy with work, though this did not detract from our stay. Thanks so much Dave for an amazing time in Istanbul.   Comments: We really enjoyed the stay at Davids apartment. It is really centrally located, Istiklal street,Taksim square, Galata Tower and Sultanahmet are within walking distance. Nevertheless, it was very quiet at night. We truly enjoyed the breakfast, restaurant and hamam recommendation in the neighborhood he had prepared for us. We only met David for a couple of hours as he was about to leave for vacation himself the day we arrived. Eventhough he was not home during our stay, we found everything prepared and felt very welcome! We could keep in close contact with David not only before but also during our stay in his apartment. Excellent place to stay in Istanbul! Thank you, David, for the amazing week we had!

  Comments: Für uns war diese ruhige und komfortable Wohnung ein perfekter Ort für Erholung vom Großstadttrubel. Wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt.   Comments: David was an excellent host - communicative, friendly and helpful. Before we arrived, David was easy to communicate with and we had no problems finding his apartment. He was also kind, extremely easy to get along with, and a great conversationalist. David also provided great recommendations for places to eat in the area. The apartment is extremely spacious and had everything we needed for a one-week stay. The view from the balcony is truly amazing! Also, the wi-fi connection is very good, which isn't always easy to find when you are traveling. In terms of location - perfect! It's in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Istanbul. Right near excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. But also within 5 minutes of Istikal and the tram, which takes you right to many of the tourists destinations. Great apartment and great host!

  Comments: David was a courteous and friendly host for the two months that I spent at his Duplex in Beyoglu - what I like to call the 'Soho' of Istanbul. You can't go wrong here - with stunning views, and Turkish charm laced with international flair. David was always attentive, and ready to help - even more so after I damaged my ankle ligaments! And this goes without saying - but he is a great guy to share a beer with and have a night out on the town. When I return to Istanbul, I know where my port of call will be!

  Comments: David is a really friendly and helpful host. The communication before the arrival was easy and David kindly provided us with a place to put our luggage since he had to work when we arrived. The apartment is spacious with two bad rooms and a beautiful rooftop terrace. It’s a really nice neighborhood with lots of cafés and antiques. David had some great recommendations for us too. The Taksim Square and Galata Tower are easy to reach from the apartment and the tram which takes you to Eminönü isn’t far either. Thanks again, David! We had a really great time in Istanbul!

  Comments: David's apartment is amazing. Perfect location, 5 min. to Istiklal, vibrant heart of "new" Istanbul, where there are many shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs. Every touristic attractions are easily reachable by walk, so are boat stops to go to the Asian side and the gold horn. The apartment has everything I needed for a 1-week stay. It's like I had my own space ; a comfortable bed, toilets right near the room an the most charming : a beautiful terrace from where I had a nice view of Galata Tower. David is easygoing and it was very convenient to communicate with him before, during and after my journey. He kindly advised me about good restaurants and interesting places to visit. I highly recommend Beyoglu duplex! Best place to enjoy Istanbul!!

  Comments: I highly recommend staying at David's place. We really enjoyed our stay. The double story apartment has a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace! A great place to relax after taking in the sites of Istanbul. Our room was a good size, tidy, comfy bed and our own toilet nearby. The apartment has a great location - on a quiet street, but near taksim square, lot of cute/hip local cafés, restaurants and creative shops. Very nice area and easy to get to all the classic tourist sites and the airport as well. David vas away during our stay, but he made sure we felt very welcome. He was helpful and very responsive during our whole stay. I can only give David and his place my highest recommendations!

  Comments: Die Wohnung hat den absolut perfekten Standort. Sie liegt Nahe am Taksim Platz und an der Istiklal (Hauptshopping-Strasse). Die Wohnung befindet sich auf zwei Stockwerken. Die obere Etage wird grds. von David bewohnt, denn er hat dort sein Zimmer und ein kleines Wohnzimmer. Überdies befindet sich die Dusche (auch für Gäste, gemeinsamer Gebrauch) auf der oberen Etage. Das Gästezimmer ist auf der untere Etage und hat alles was man braucht. Überdies hat man eine Toilette und ein Lavabo zur Verfügung. Auch die Küche und das grössere Wohnzimmer befinden sich in der unteren Etage. Der Balkon bietet eine unglaubliche Sicht über Istanbul und eignet sich perfekt für einen Apéro nach einem langen Tag in der Stadt. David ist zuvorkommend und freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

  Comments: Quartier des antiquaires, très agréable, proche de Taksim, de tous les commerces/cafés (le must: proche du meilleur breakfast d'Istanbul :-) ) appartement au calme, avec ascenseur, la terrasse est un sacré plus! :-) David est un hôte très ouvert, et très accueillant. Il a tout fait pour que le séjour se passe parfaitement et nous a conseillé de très bonnes adresses dans le quartier. Parti quelques jours, il a répondu à nos questions à distance en un temps record! A recommander sans l'ombre d'une hésitation.

  Comments: David's hospitality and generosity is second to none. It's doubtful if there is a more peaceful terrace in Istanbul with such a stunning view. It's a duplex and David let us range upstairs and down so there's a great feeling of space and freedom. The bed is comfy too. Overall, it was an ideal base to explore Istanbul. There are great places to eat nearby, as well as baths, and reaching the bridge to Sultanahmet is just a good stretch of your legs away - perhaps 20 mins, passing the Galata tower on the way. Any downsides? A gentle mention to David and all is sorted!

  Comments: Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour chez David : accueil sympathique (avec dégustation de bières turques dès l'arrivée:-), appartement propre, confortable et très agréable à vivre, situé dans le quartier 'bohème' non dénué de charme d'Istanbul et non loin de la place Taksim (quartier central d'Istanbul) David est très avenant et disponible pour nous aiguiller dans la découverte de la ville, il nous a communiqué beaucoup de bonnes adresses (restaurants, bars, et autres avec cartes de visite à l'appui) pour profiter pleinement de cette semaine stambouliote.   Comments: David was a wonderful host! He was helpful in finding my brother and I when our taxi driver didn't know where the apartment was and he made us feel very welcome in Istanbul! The apartment was very nice and clean. Everything was exactly as it appeared in the pictures and description and it is in the perfect location. There are so many cool bars, restaurants, and cafes all around the apartment. It was about a 45 minute walk into the historic center...and we just walked there every time because it was a great way to get to know the city. The balcony has an amazing view of Istanbul. I would highly recommend staying here!

  Comments: David was available by phone to help us figure out the location of his apt. We waited in a lovely cafe for his return from work on our day of arrival. He was cheerful and attentive to our needs, providing at the outset a list of restaurants in the neighborhood that proved invaluable. The location of his apt afforded us an authentic setting and the view from the rooftop balcony is breathtaking.

  Comments: The room was a bit hot but otherwise the apartment was pretty much as said. Balcony has a nice view to relax and chill. Great location to get out and about. In terms of hosting David gets 15/10 in my books. Extremely accommodating, friendly, prompt responses, good knowledge of things to do and even met some his friends whom were equally receptive. Thanx for adding to the experience.

  Comments: David met us at a local coffee house after his work day. Once we settled into the apartment we went out for dinner Our room was bright and we had access to the upstairs living room and veranda that had a lovely view of the Galata tower Location is excellent not far from Taksim or to the tram. Neighbourhood is quiet and relaxed. We loved it and we're very satisfied with the arrangements

  Comments: The home of David was clean and in the center of Beyoglu/Istanbul. Although David wasn´t at home for our whole stay he asked regulary if everything was okay... he gave us usefull information and answers about every question we had.. he answered immedeatly, when we wrote him!

  Comments: David was a great host, we felt at home right away. He was there upon our arrival to welcome us, in a nearby café. He explained how everything worked, provided us with maps and all sorts of recommendations. Unlike other apartment rental agencies who hand you the keys and send you on your way, David made us feel like his guests. As for the appartement, it is cozy and spacious as the pictures suggest. Even when we didn't know if our flight got postponed because of the snow, David kindly told us we could stay one more night if we needed. Everything we were hoping for! Thanks a lot!
