Spectacular postcard view of Sugar Loaf Botafogo beach.The apartment is newly-renovated and air-conditioned .There is a shopping mall ,grocery stores,a great independent movie theater, bookstores, and great cafes minutes from the building. The metro station is located just a few blocks away. Copacabana and Ipanema beaches are just a few stops away by bus or metro. You can actually walk to Copacabana and Urca ! Ana Amelia was so responsive and worked with me to create a vacation with everything.She is very prompt on responding to requests and is extremely helpful.

  Comments: This apartment is just incredible: it has a breathtaking view on the "pao de azucar", and even an hammock on which you can lay and watch the panorama. It is really as it seems on the photos, and probably even better. Moreover, Ana has been very kind, taking care of all my needs/requests. If I will ever come back to Rio, I hope I can stay here again.

  Comments: The apartment is charming and really does have a spectacular view from the 12th floor, is safe and does have very good air-conditioning! The location in Botafogo was perfect for my trip which was for work so the easy access to the Metro and numerous buses was really helpful as we needed to be all over the city each day for meetings. I was very impressed with Ana Amelia's efficiency in responding to my booking and various enquiries - this was appreciated. Also, Patricia her assistant was punctual for the handover of the keys despite the lateness of my arrival and she was also very helpful when I had any questions. Also, the reception staff were extremely nice and helpful too! I really enjoyed my stay and have recommended it to a number of friends. However, as it is important to provide a truthful review, it is fair to say that my only negative comment about the apartment is that the noise levels from the street below are very high due to the many lanes of traffic in front of the building but most significantly the windows are of extremely poor quality so there was never a quiet moment - the flat really does need secondary glazing. Finally, many thanks for hosting us - it was a memorable trip!

  Comments: I spent a wonderful time in Ana's apartment. The view is really spectacular! It is near the shopping,,10 minutes from Copacabana and 15 from Ipanema. You have every transportation you want at your door or pretty near. Amelia and her assistant Patricia were really nice and cosy and if something is missing or if you need anything they are very helpful.

  Comments: We spent 11 days at Ana's apartment and agree it has to be the best view in Rio! The location is great, especially if you want to spend time both in the south (at the famous beaches and Lagoa) and further north in the city centre seeing some of the cultural bits, as Botafogo is mid-way between them. In fact we did lots of walking (as far afield as the Jardim Botanico and to Urca for the Sugar Loaf cable car) and relied on the nearby Metro for our transport needs. The apartment was clean, modern, safe and had all the facilities we needed including a great big fridge/freezer, coffee percolator, washing machine, huge wet-room style shower, wireless internet, and effective air conditioning which was especially welcome. I'd agree about the noise of the 11 lanes of traffic, but the earplugs we brought with us meant we weren't disturbed. Ana's list of local suggestions of shops, restaurants etc was a big help. Highlights of our trip included a day trip by ferry to Niteroi, an afternoon at the brilliant exhibitions in the Paço Imperial, cycling round the Lagoa, a swish lunch at Confeitaria Colombo in town, the Saturday antiques market at Praça XV de Novembro (much better than the Sunday craft fair at Ipanema General Osorio) and of course plenty of relaxation with agua de coco and caipirinhas at Copacabana and Ipanema! If we go back to Rio (which I hope we will) I'd be very happy to stay at Ana's place again.

  Comments: We have been looking at the photos of Ana Amelia's apartment all through the cold British winter and the reality was even better than the pictures. What a view and perfectly positioned to walk to the shopping, run along the beach, catch a taxi to the centre or in the other direction the swimming beaches. The apartment was well equipped but not at all cluttered - I hope we will be able to return in future years.

  Comments: This place is absolutely perfect, just like the other reviews say. I stayed for 2 weeks while I was in Rio for work. The subway is just a few minutes away, everything you need is close by (pharmacies, grocery stores, the Botafogo shopping mall...). It's just what I needed. The apartment is very well equipped and I was able to cook and do everything else. The living room area is really nice and the cable television has channels in English available. The kitchen is easy to cook in and the oven, etc, work perfectly. The washing machine was also very helpful! Ana's assistant greeted me when I arrived because Ana wasn't available. She explained everything and was always available by phone in case of a problem. I would definitely book this place without hesitating if I have to go back to Rio again!

  Comments: We stayed in this apartment 6 days and, summarizing, it was better than we expected. The apartment was clean, big enough for a couple, and has all the things that you could need (iron, whasing machine, gas kitchen, fridge, tv with cable, air condicioner...) But the thing that we loved was the view. The Pao de Açucar and the beach of Botafogo are visible from the hole apartment (excepting the bathroom). The only thing that can be a bit annoying is the fact that the apartment is in front of one of the main roads of Rio and therefore, there is a constant traffic noise. Summarizing, the apartament

The location was great too, in walking distance there were juice bars, convenience stores, a mall, and the metro. Also, the doormen were very friendly and helpful during our stay.

  Comments: An amazing place to stay in Rio. The apartment is spotless and is perfectly laid out with everything one could need. SO convenient, with the metro close by and a continuous stream of busses right out of the front door. Cabs are very easy to find also. The area is well served by supermarkets and great restaurants. The huge Botafogo Praia shopping mall is a block away. Patricia, Ana's assistant, was there to help with any needs and kindly helped us, along with the friendly doorman, with our cases when we checked out. As for the view, wow- truly unbelievable! Would love to come back!

  Comments: A great ten night stay indeed! The apartment is really good. It is in good condition and there is everything you'll need: bed linen, towels, good wifi, an iron, washing machine, aircon, well equipped kitchen etc... The location is perfect. The metro station is near so it is easy to get around the city. Also, Botafogo seems to be really safe even at night and there are great restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Ana (even I did not meet her) and her assistant were really kind and helpful and everything went perfectly. Would book again, definitely!

  Comments: We had a great experience at Ana's apartment. The view from the apartment is fantastic. If you take pictures, you will have a Rio de Janeiro postal. The location is great, in walking distance there convenience stores, a shopping mall, and the metro. The apartment is clean and big. It have all the equipment that you need for a good stay in Rio.   Comments: I stood in "the most beautiful view in Rio" apartment for one week. I highly recommend it. The view is very beautiful especially between five and six in the morning. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals and the washer is very convenient in the bathroom. I did not meet Amelia but I was welcomed by her assistant Patricia who was very helpful. Thank you Amelia and Patricia, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future!

  Comments: Even though I didn´t meet Ana, she was always in communication with us through Paty, her assistant; they were very accommodating with us and Paty gave us some great advices about the city. The apartment is nice and it was very clean, you have everything you need. The best thing about this place is the view, it is really amazing.   Comments: This apartment has a gorgeous view, but it is located right above a very busy road. Beware of constant noise, day and night. Place is cute and conveniently located. It was easy to grab a taxi and close to metro. Unfortunately Ana Amelia was away. Her helper, the girl who opened the flat for us, did not speak English and was not helpful at all. The TV did not work and we could not reach her for any assistance for 5 days.

  Comments: The apartment has great views! Whilst a lot of the previous comments provided by other tenants mentioned the noise issue, my husband and I were not too disturbed by the noise. The apartment is also very spacious which was definitely a plus point! Upon our arrival we were greeted by Anna's assistant, Laura. Whilst Laura was very helpful, she did not speak English too well so there were a lot of things about the apartment that was left unexplained. Our stay was generally great with some water interruption occurring towards the end. Notwithstanding, Anna was always prompt in replying to is when there were interruptions. Furthermore, Anna kindly compensated the shortcomings by provisioning the taxi transport to the airport (which was a very nice gesture!) In summary, my husband and I were in Rio for 8 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Anna's apartment.

  Comments: One Word: LOCATION! The flat is in a very central and nice area of Rio and the view is even more incredible than in the pictures. As some other visitors mentioned, it is a bit noisy (because of the cars) day & night... so bring your earplugs! But honestly, the view is really worth it! We haven't met Ana Amelia but Laura for check in / check out. No problems with that, it all went smoothly at the times that were planned. Overall, very good flat for a stay in Rio with everything you will need (and even a very nice juice bar downstairs)!

  Comments: Ana's apartment indeed has a breathtaking view - and this is a source of constant pleasure. The sun rise is particularly stunning! It is a bit noisy - the road outside is really busy most of the day and night - but it was surprising how quickly one gets used to it with the windows shut. The place was beautifully clean and equipped with anything you could want. The bed is comfortable and the shower powerful and large. There is A/C and a fan and good wireless. Ana and her assistant Laura could not have been more helpful, and were quick to respond to questions. The juice bar on the corner beneath the apartment is a must - try the Mango juice but remember to ask for no sugar!

Great location, although the building is huge with many apartments, many people in and out and some stores on the first floor and it's on a very busy street. It's easy to get metro, bus, taxi from there.

  Comments: Arrived at the apartment and greeted by the lovely Ana and her assistant Lara. Beautiful view took our breath away. Clean and spacious with everything needed for your stay. Super shower and plenty of storage space. Comfy bed and great air con. Yes there is traffic noise but ear plugs did the job and we got used to it after a few days. Ideal position for the metro and buses, but taxi rides really cheap so used those at night for safety. Shopping mall close by and great restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment.

  Comments: Ana Amelia`s apartment was really great. The view is even better than the photos. Flat is very clean and tidy. When we arrived Ana Amelia and Lara greeted us with a generous welcome. Everthing was ready in the aparment for us to stay in comfort. The location was great. Very easy to reach by public transportation. Close to Lapa and Beaches as well. Don`t think twice this apartment is simply great and will meet your expectation in every aspects. Thanks Ana and Lara.

  Comments: Exceptional flat with an incredible view over the famous "Pão de Açúcar". Very bright and clean . A nice vintage deck chair, from which you see only the Pao de Acucar. Aircondition works very well. What a pity you cannot swim in the sea from the nice Botofago beach in front of the house, which is poluted and that you have to take a bus or taxi to go to Cocapabana. Food shop is a little too far (15mn walk), even for bying a bottle of water. Very few restaurants in the aera. Nevertheless a very nice place to spend a few days.

  Comments: I will break this review into three items - the unit, location, and assistance. The Unit: The view is amazing, the unit is very spacious, the bed is comfortable, the AC works great, and all appliances work well - it has everything you will need (pots, pans, glasses, silverware, etc.). The noisy traffic outside did not bother specially after closing the windows. Location: The location is great, just outside the entrance there are two juice bars and a "padaria" (deli). It's also close to banks and a 3-minute walk to the Botafogo Praia Shopping. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the subway, there is a bus stop nearby, and there are cabs driving by all the time (to get an idea there are 33,000+ cabs in Rio which is more than twice the number of cabs in NYC). Assistance: I had a few questions while I was there and Ana always responded promptly and ready to help. Laura (the assistant that met with us to turn in the keys) was very nice and always on time - for getting us the key she was in the apartment at least 30 minutes earlier, and to turn in the apartment she was 10 minutes early. Overall, I strongly recommend to anyone that wants to visit Rio!

  Comments: Host was very welcoming. We had a late arrival and due to traffic we arrived later than stated but Camille waited around showed us the apartment. The apartment itself was as described! Absolutely luved out stay - spacious for three people, amenities needed there and the view was simply gorgeous. The area it self is convenient. When we come back next year will definitely stay here again! ☺️

  Comments: I booked the flat for myself, my husband and a friend to stay for a week. It was impeccably clean and there were fresh sheets on the main bed. Ana Amelia and her assistant Laura welcomed me to the flat and everything was in order. During our time there we twice had a problem with our keys, where one spare set did not fit the lock at all. Ana Amelia's assistant, Laura, sorted the problem out instantly. We really appreciated this. The only negative was that the sofa bed is quite old, and although comfortable, we felt that we had to put double sheets on the mattress as it was quite stained. Otherwise the flat was very comfortable, and I would certainly suggest the flat to family and friends. The building is very safe with 24hr porters who were more than kind and helpful on our lock issue days! In all, we had a wonderful stay and waking up to the magnificent view of the Sugar Loaf every day was wonderful.

  Comments: Appartement conforme à la description sur le site, encore plus charmant en réalité. Équipement sommaire mais le nécessaire est là (draps, serviettes de toilette, ustensiles de cuisine, eau). La vue sur le pain de sucre est saisissante et vaut à elle seule que l'on choisisse cet appartement. Seul bémol: le bruit (important trafic au pied de l'immeuble)= boules quies obligatoires, à prévoir. Nous n'avons pas rencontré Ana Amelia durant notre séjour, les check in et check out ont été réalisés par deux jeunes filles très gentilles mais dont l'une ne parlait pas anglais. Immeuble sécurisé (gardien 24h/24). Emplacement idéal (moins de 10min à pied du métro, arrêt de bus au pied de l'immeuble, quartier populaire très agréable). En somme, très bon séjour, appartement à recommander.

The description of "the most beautiful view is Rio" is, and I have seen almost every view, an understatement. The staff was helpful and thoughtful. Botafogo is a fun place to wander around.

  Comments: Gostei muito de ficar no apartamento da Ana Ameila, a vista de Pão de Açúcar é incrível, não perca a oportunidade de acordar com essa vista quando você ficar no Rio de Janeiro! O apartamento também é muito comfortável e limpo e tem tudo que você precisa. O apartmento fica no prédio seguro e bem localizado para conhecer a cidade maravilhosa. Ana Ameila ajudou bastante com nossa estadia e organizou um jeito para deixar as chaves com ela então poderíamos sair cedo no final dia para pegar nosso voo. Gostaria de voltar com certeza!

  Comments: Great stay at Rio , the place have indeed an amazing view , we had a little problem with the AC but was resolved by the host , Ana was always checking that all was perfect for us , Rio is a lot of fun so we are planning to come back very soon :). O apto é espaçoso, prédio de 12 andares com elevador e muitos serviços úteis ao redor (metro, onibus, shopping, farmácia, etc). Para casais, um bom custo x benefício!

  Comments: This apartment really does have the most beautiful view in Rio! This is the second time we stayed here. The apartment is clean, simply furnished, and has everything you need to make you feel at home. But the best part of the apartment is the location. It is close to the subway, to major bus lines, and an easy cab ride both to the beaches and the center.

Everything was as described in the website. We recommended the landlady to install a power shower device to make taking a shower more comfortable.

  Comments: Ana's home was clean, comfortable and interesting - the views were more spectacular than in the photos. The location was perfect for sightseeing and walking around the city's landmarks. Ana also had a handy folder of recommendations for things to do in the area. We had a few initial glitches - there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the toilet at one point got clogged (we were only told later, during the de-clogging process, that plumbing in Brazil is not up to scratch and because of this, toilet paper is binned not flushed). But Ana's assistant Laura was on call and despite the communication problem (she speaks Portuguese, we speak English), she ensured that the issue was taken care. Overall, a good experience. Travelled with colleagues in September 2016.
