  Comments: We had a nice stay with Alexis he and his housemate. They were friendly. A nice clean place in a convenient location in Barcelona, however, it is an area that you need to be careful as someone tried to pickpocket us in a nearby square - in broad daylight. But this is what Barcelona is known for these days. The aircon was certainly appreciated. All in all a nice stay.

  Comments: Alexis is very open person. Although he speaks only few words in English he makes you feel very welcome. Area is a little bit scary at first, but you get used to it. I didn't find it dangerous at all. Flat is small (one room is even without windows) but everything is clean and quite modern (espiecially bathroom and kitchen). AC is working. The only problem we had was noise from the pipes but Alexis propably fixed that already. As wheelchair-user: I was able to sleep in the flat but there is one big step at the front door where I needed help of my brother. Since all the beds are upstairs Alexis let me sleep in the living room/kitchen on the camp bed. The problem was that my head was beside the fridge that makes a lot of noise but I somehow managed. Everything else was great. I can totally recommend.

  Comments: We spent 7 nights in Barcelona. Alexis is friendly and positive person, with good sense of humor. He is always ready to help, give an advice or just talk. We had no conflicts. The house is situated in the center of the сity, in a very picturesque and peculiar district, which narrow streets make a romantic atmosphere. There are a lot of stores and snack-bars in the neighbourhood. The location is very convenient. It is near merto and it is easy to get to any point of the city. It takes a few minutes to walk to La Rambla. The flat is good and modern. We could spend time in our room or in the dining room. There are 2 funny cats in the flat! There is a nice cozy yard with benches... In one word, we had a great time!

  Comments: Алексис - отличный хозяин, очень дружелюбный. Мы провели в его доме один день - было здорово. Комната чистенькая, уютная, мягкая кровать, здоровенная подуха и полотенца, кондиционер работал как надо. Только вот посреди ночи нас заставил подпрыгнуть какой-то жуткий звук откуда-то рядом со стеной. Он длился несколько секунд и дико нас напугал. Не знаю, что это было =) А так, в целом, воспоминания у нас остались очень хорошие. Алексис с радостью показал нам куда сходить пошопиться и был готов отвечать на все наши вопросы. А еще в доме живет котейка, который очень любит лежать на коленках и балдеет, когда его гладят! =D

  Comments: Alexis is such a lovely host who take extra care of guest. He is always smiling and was very helpful. He allowed us to keep our luggage at 7.30 am. Room was having AC which was good for barcelona climate. Location is really great right in happening market place & close to parallel station. Some decoration and painting is recommended in room. There are 2 lovely cats in the house. I would recommend this place to guest.

  Comments: Alexis made us feel welcome and he often stated that this was our house and for us to feel at home. He was eager to help us with directions, sight seeing and restaurants. The apartment was as described and the individually controlled temperature in our room was a bonus. The neighborhood was good, 5 minute walk to the metro, 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas and to the port. We would definitely stay with Alexis again, it was a great experience!

Especially, the bedding seems to be not washed. Nevertheless, the room was furnished with the most important stuff, the location is great and the room is cheap.

  Comments: Nous avons loué la chambre chez Alexis pour 3 nuits. Son appartement sur 2 niveaux est idéalement situé dans la vieille ville, à 7-8 minutes à pied de La Rambla et de l'animation légendaire de Barcelone. L'accueil fut chaleureux malgré la barrière de la langue. Mais Alexis est un hôte prévoyant: " (Hidden by Airbnb) translation"!!! :) L'appartement est confortable, propre et au calme. La climatisation dans la chambre est définitivement un plus. Alexis a été très sympa et nous a donné de précieux conseils pour les déplacements et les lieux à visiter. Et tout ça avec le sourire...   Comments: 우리가 어디서 어떻게 오는지 미리 파악하여 숙소까지 오는 방법을 정말 자세하게 알려주었고 숙소를 찾는대는 전혀 문제가 없었다. 방과 화장실에 잠금장치는 없지만 안전하게 생활할 수 있었다. 숙소 주변은 조금 위험해보이지만 위험한 일이 없었고 불편함은 없었다. Alexis는 매우 친절했고 우리의 요청을 최대한 들어주려했다. 대화가 원할하게 이루어지기 위해 노력했고 숙소에서 관광지까지 교통수단은 풀편함이없었다.

  Comments: It was a really great time at alexis' flat. He and Claudia where really helpful to give us some tips to go out or to eat typical Spain tapas. The room was okay, it was not that kind of huge, but clean! And never mind you stay there only for the night ;-) you can feel like you are home: you can use the kitchen for cooking or making breakfast. Alexis made everything to make us feel comfortable! The flat is very central, you just need a 10 minutes walk to the la rambla street and although the metro station is 3 minutes away . Thank you very much for a pleasant stay Alexis!

They made us feel completely at home in our short stay, giving their time and patience to make recommendations and suggestions for our visit. We couldn’t ask for more courteous and lovely people to stay with! The apartment was lovely and very homely, and the room was well priced, clean and comfortable; it also has very quick wifi. The bathroom is modern, and extra towels and bedding were provided by Alexis. It is in a wonderful location in El Raval, only 5-10 minutes from La Rambla and the nearest metro station. Also, there is a lovely bakery on the same street. We also loved Alexis’ cats, who made the trip extra happy. Also the restaurant Cera23, only a 3 minute walk away, was delicious and super friendly. All round, we’ve had the best holiday, and were made to feel very at ease in a new environment! Thank you for your superb hospitality and warmth.

  Comments: Alexis is a nice host, ready to help with information and directions at any time. He were so helpful, I'm not good with directions and he spent some time explaining and also making an easy map to me. He also let us do the check in before the time and welcomed us with coffee. The apartment has some positive and negative points. Positive: it's clean and well equipped, a walk distance to La Hambla, metro station, supermarkets and restaurants. I like to walk so I didn't need to use the public transportation for most things. Negative: I didn't like the neighborhood (got used to it in the second day tho), the room is musty, and there was a smoke odor. I'm a kind of person who avoids using AC, but it was necessary. The bathroom is the big problem to me because you can see through it and that made me feel so uncomfortable that I had to avoid using it as much as I could. In general I had a great experience.

Ci ha dato buone indicazioni su dove mangiare, e ci ha permesso di lasciare le valigie anche oltre il Check out. La casa è in una posizione ottimale per visitare la città. A tre minuti a piedi dalla fermata parlal.lel e a due passi dalla Rambla. Camera e bagno erano puliti ed ordinati. Unico neo il quartiere che non era proprio come ce lo aspettavamo. Ma la nostra esperienza è stata sicuramente positiva. Host consigliato.

  Comments: Alexis was a wonderful and helpful host, who kindly shared some fantastic advice on tapas restaurants and local sights. Alexis's place is in a fantastic location, close to supermarkets, restaurants and easy walking distance to the metro stations. The apartment was clean and tidy, with a great kitchen and large bathroom. The bedroom was well furnished and the bed was comfortable. However we found the room quite musty and airless, with only a small window opening to the staircase which had no air flow. The airconditioning was useful for keeping the room cool but otherwise it was a little unpleasant. We also found the bathroom a little uncomfortable to use as the walls are predominantly textured glass and highly see-through, making it awkward to use when others were in the kitchen or living area, despite Alexis's assurance that you couldn't see through it. Overall, though, we are very grateful for Alexis's kind hospitality and enjoyed staying in such a fantastic location in Barcelona.

The location is great with only a few minutes walk from the metro station and la Rambla. Good restaurants nearby so u can find them at anytime. He was very responsive before arrival and made sure we wouldn't have any difficulties when finding his place (even sent pictures of the way that we had to go from metro stop to his place). The apartment in general is really cosy and the conditioner in the room was a huge bonus. Even though the fact that the room does not have windows seemed to be a turn off at first, it ensured us a calm night's sleep and isolation from all the noise coming from the street. Alexis himself is very friendly and helpful. Even when he could not explain something in English he used (Hidden by Airbnb) translator so that we would get all the info we needed. His recommendations were very good and useful. As for the location, it's within walking distance from Catalunya square (night bus to airport stops there), las Ramblas and old town in general. I really enjoyed my stay at Alexis place.

  Comments: The listing was accurate and the building where we stayed was quiet. The A/C worked well and the vanity in the room was a huge plus. Alexis was always willing to show us how to get to all the places we visited like Barceloneta beach and La Sagrada Familia. It was really nice of him to also hold our bags for safekeeping after we had checked out and he even let us borrow an umbrella and mini cooler for the beach which definitely made the beach day even better! We loved Barcelona and were grateful to stay with Alexis.

  Comments: Alexis is a very organized person. The room is great,comfy and tidy as he promised. However, he didn't clearly mentioned that he lives in the house as well, which is not a problem, but I would have liked to have known it before. He has two cats as well. He is a very warm person, wants to make friends and even go out if you are up to. He is still improving his English, so if you don't understand spanish, that might be a problem. Also, he is absolutely obsessed about with cleanliness, and due to the fact that he lives in the house, he will be constantly advising you to keep your room clean and kitchen, etc, which is a bit uncomfortable. So if you are in a hurry to get to know Barcelona and wants to wash the dishes later, you may have some trouble with him. The neighbourhood is touristic and bohemian and very close to everything, I do recommend staying there.

The room was small but still comfortable (as long as you know how to use the air conditioning) and the rest of the house has everything you need. It is in a fairly central location and is easy to reach by metro and the surrounding area is a safe neighbourhood with many supermarkets, restaurants and bars nearby. We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona and Alexis helped to make it as easy and comfortable as possible.

  Comments: Alexis est vraiment vraiment quelqu'un de génial, la maison est superbe trop proche de la Rambla juste à côté de lui il a des magasins: une superbe boulangerie pas chère, épicerie qui ferme jusqu'à minuit.... La chambre est très propre la salle de bain est superbe et grande la cuisine est vraiment équipée de TOUT. Pour Alexis c'est quelqu'un d'acceuillant même si vous ne parlez pas Espagnol ou Anglais il essaiera avec tout les moyens de vous expliquer les choses, il est sympa et très gentil, aussi j'ai lu dans les commentaires précédents qu'il avait un problème avec la propreté.... c'est faux il vous mettera le plus à l'aise possible, c'est normal de nettoyer après avoir manger. Ps: pensez à louer un vélo Barcelone en vélo c'est juste extra, pas loin de la maison il y a un magasin de location de vélo et scooter qui s'appelle "Mattia" pour vraiment pas cher comparant avec les autres.

  Comments: Soggiorno piacevole, camera pulita ma senza finestra. La casa è situata in una zona abbastanza pericolosa ma centrale. Abbiamo avuto alcune situazioni alquanto imbarazzanti per l'host e scomode per noi. Preferiamo non citarle per non rovinare la reputazione dell'host stessa. Alexis è comunque stato gentile e disponibile prestandoci anche l'ombrellone e il frighetto i giorni in cui ci siamo recati al mare. Una delle regole che ci ha imposto, però, è quella di non fare casino dopo le 10 di sera. Regola che lui stesso ha infranto più volte durante il nostro soggiorno.

De kamer is niet heel groot en heeft geen buitenramen, dus dat is wel jammer, maar de airco is heel erg fijn! De kamer en het huis zijn in goede staat en goed schoon. Het is 5 minuten lopen naar metrostation Paral.lel, wat fijn was. Met de check-in en check-out was Alexis erg flexibel. Dus goede ervaring gehad!

  Comments: Alexis was a brilliant host, incredibly warm and welcoming. We arrived very late our first night and he was awake waiting for us and stated from the outset that 'this was our house too' which made it very easy for us to feel comfortable and at home which was lovely. The area was buzzy and lively, a nice contrast to the overly busy Ramblas, which was nice as we saw two seperate sides of Barcelona and felt less like tourists. It was also only a 10-15 minute walk to the Rambla so if you prefer the more touristy areas you are not far at all. We would come and go from the house as we pleased and Alexis was very helpful giving tips on tapas bars and museums to go and see. He was very accommodating and even gave us clean fresh towels when we walked through the door one night soaked from the rain. Overall a really lovely guy and a really beautiful, modern, lovely house.   Comments: Initially by seeing the path from metro station to Alexis's place I was worried of safety during the night times. but even we arrived to home by mid night without any issues. It's very well located for all the restaurants and super markets which we found within few mins walk. There are two near by metro stations which connects to all top places in Barcelona. Around 5-7 mins walk from metro stations. Its Alexis who made our stay very comfortable and took care of us. Smeštaj je na odličnoj lokaciji tako da se mnogo toga može obići pešice (Gotska četvrt, La Rambla, Trg Katalunja, Raval, itd...), a isto tako je i odlično povezan javnim prevozom sa ostalim delovima grada.   Comments: The house and room were nice, air-conditioning helped on the hot nights. Communication was very poor however, I understand there was a language barrier but I don't think this excuses the constant emails back and forth and the host consistently asking questions we had just answered. We never met Alexis as he was away and check in was handled by his very nice friend but she wasn't able to give us much information. We were also awoken at 5am on the first night by the hosts drunk (Hidden by Airbnb) and we hadn't been told there would be anyone else in the house so this was a bit alarming.

  Comments: We had the most incredible stay with Alex! His house was so central, and we we're able to walk to the beach, markets, La Rambla, and many other destinations from there. In saying that, once you're on his street it feels very quiet and private- perfect for regenerating. One of the best parts was the rooftop terrace on the 4th floor- the perfect place to put a blanket down and share a bottle of wine/dinner/watch the sun go down away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. The apartment is located in El Raval, an area that is full of life, energy and people of mix culture which I found a great place to be staying in. We were only about 15-20 minutes walk from the tourist areas such as La Rambla and the gothic quarter. There are also many cafes and restaurants nearby in the area which made my stay easier. Está situada a 200 mts. del metro así que todo está a la mano. También se llega a todos lados caminando. En cuanto al barrio, El Raval, es un poco oscuro de noche y en un primer momento parece peligroso, sin embargo a lo largo de la estancia no nos sucedió nada malo y tampoco vimos que pasara nada.   Comments: My friend and I had an amazing time at this room in Barcelona! Unfortunately I fell very ill so I had to stay in the room for half of the stay, but Alexis was so sweet to even offer soup, tea and coffee! He tried his best to make us feel very welcome and at home and the cats were so cute as well! We had to check in after midnight which wasn't a problem at all. The room as well as the bathroom were astonishingly clean. It is amazingly central, you can reach everything by walking with plenty of shops, cafes and very cool bars around. Alexis gave us plenty of nice recommendations as well. All in all I couldn't recommend the room enough and I can't wait to come back to proper see the city this time!

  Comments: It was very nice to stay at Alexis house.. Everything was great.. Alexis gave us very good information how to arrive at his house. He made us feel like our home.. The room was very nice and cheap for Barcelona's standard. The only disadvantage of the room is that there is no window. Except for that, everything was very nice. Also very close to the main street la rambla and generally to the centre... Thnx Alexis for the host...

  Comments: My wife and I enjoyed staying in Alexis’ home. Alexis was very responsive and gave excellent directions on how to get to his place. Additionally he recommended several places to eat and several things to do. The apartment is located in a perfect spot, all of Barcelona’s top attractions are within walking distance.

  Comments: 괜찮았어요. 위치는 지하철에서 10분정도걸으면됩니다. 다만 아랍계사람들이 사는동네라그런지 깨끗하진않아요 6박동안 별일은없었습니다. 장점이자 단점이라면 주인장이 매우 깔끔한성격입니다. 눈치를 주는편임다 방은 창문이없어서답답하나 에어컨이있어시원했구요. 최대단점이라먼 부엌이랑 화장실이같이있어요 다른사람이 뭐먹을때 화장실쓰기불편하고 뭐먹을때 누가 화장실쓰면신경쓰입니다. 요리해먹는건 자유로이해먹을수잇고 빨래도 했습니다. 바다간다고하니까 아이스박스랑 파라솔도빌려주었습니다. 친절하고 괜찮은편입니다. 저렴한가격에추천합니다.

He was incredibly helpful answering all of our questions regarding public transportation, markets to go to, places to visit etc. When we went to the beach he let us use his mini cooler and umbrella! Very sweet and kind man. As for the room and apartment itself, it is in an amazing location. We were able to walk almost everywhere or take the metro/bus. The small streets are filled with different kinds of people which was awesome to be around. Tons of vegan options around! We felt very safe walking around at night. The room has AC which was a life saver with the heat and we were able to use the kitchen with ease. Overall an excellent and very clean place to stay, Alexis is wonderful and also has two cute cats. I would highly recommend to anyone!! Thank you Alexis! :)

  Comments: Questa casa è davvero nel centro di Barcellona: si trova a soli 10 minuti a piedi dalla Rambla, ma la cosa fantastica è che si trova a soli 5 minuti dalla fermata della metro “Paral-lel” dalla quale raggiungevamo qualsiasi altra zona di Barcellona. Il quartiere in cui è situata, El Raval, viene spesso descritto come pericoloso o roba del genere…durante la mia settimana di soggiorno nessuna di queste caratteristiche si è rivelata veritiera. E’ un quartiere tranquillo, particolare, multietnico, pieno di locali come Burger King, minimarket, Carrefour, forni e pasticcerie, macellerie, kebab, parrucchieri, e localini che fanno tapas, paella e altri piatti tipici. Alexis è una persona disponibilissima, sempre sorridente, sempre pronto a trovare una soluzione ai tuoi problemi. Ci ha accolto mostrandoci il piccolo soggiorno, la cucina attrezzatissima di qualsiasi comodità (piatti, bicchieri, pentole, posate, microonde, fornelli a induzione, frigorifero e freezer grandissimi, ecc.ecc.), il bagno e successivamente la nostra camera che si trovava al piano di sopra (dotata di aria condizionata, con la possibilità di poter chiudere la porta a chiave). La casa è piccolina ma accogliente, e Alexis fa di tutto per metterti a tuo agio e per farti sentire a casa tua (mi ripeteva sempre “feel home!!!”). Inoltre sa parlare bene l’inglese, oltre allo spagnolo. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole un appartamento centrale ed economico per trascorrere una vacanza a Barcellona.

  Comments: Apartamento no El Raval, dizem que é um bairro perigoso, havia uma rua mais "estranha" mas existem alternativas bem mais acessíveis e mais perto. limpo, arrumado, muito perto do centro a pé, e também tem uma estação de metro muito perto. O Alex foi bastante atencioso desde o início, enviou nos a localização, que nos facilitou a deslocação até lá, o apartamento estava arrumado, o quarto é tal e qual como está na foto. gostei bastante.   Comments: Staying at Alexis's place was really great. Location is perfect with almost no tourists (at least in January :)) Room is small but it is enough for few nights, you don't need more. We would appreciate window in the room, staying there for a longer time could be kind of depressive. Luckily air condition helped at least with fresh air. Alexis is a great host and staying there is definitely worth it.
