  Comments: I loved loved loved my stay with Marcia. I felt immediately at home. The home is as light and bright as it appears in the pics and the room is so wonderful and spacious. The bed is really comfortable and the entire vibe is exactly what you want from a place to stay in Hawaii; relaxing and peaceful. Marcia and her partner whipped up such a lovely welcome feast with local papaya and eggs and then they showed me the way to Diamond Head beach + Costco. I was made to feel very welcome and i'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was a pleasure to share our vacation time in the Marcia's Apartament because it's a very clean, confortable and friendly apartament with a very good relation between quality and price. The ubication is enough near to the Honolulu center to enjoy the city and the beaches, and you will not spend so much time to arrive to any place on this paradisiac island.

  Comments: Marcia's place was perfectly located for my purposes, but be aware there is no great bus service to the beach. However she was kind enough to lend me a bicycle and helmet! The room was lovely, cleanliness and energy conservation are very important to Marcia so if you cannot respect that I recommend a hotel! Wonderful views of many rainbows. It was nice to stay in a real neighborhood away from the tourists.

  Comments: Staying in Marcia's home was so lovely that 10 days later I booked in again with my family for another stay. The house itself is clean and has a nice fresh energy about it. Marcia is a fantastic host with many great tips. The location is a 10-15 minute cycle to Waikiki which was perfect as staying right in the mixer can be overwhelming and you may not get to see this side of living on the island. I would be more than happy to stay here again when returning to Oahu. I highly recommend booking in with Marcia!

  Comments: We could not have found a more beautiful place to stay at than Marcia's during our transition to Oahu as we looked for our own place. We stayed at her place for 18 days and it was a wonderful experience from day one when Marcia greeted us with a warm aloha hug followed by a very detailed tour of her home. She was great to talk with and full of life and wisdom, and also pointed us to a very delicious Greek restaurant (Olive Tree) nearby for dinner. Her home is immaculately clean with a gorgeous kitchen, has a lovely deck where you can see the luscious mountains and Waikiki twinkling in the distance, is loaded with all of the plates, glassware, silverware, cooking equipment, etc. that you'll ever need (even tupperware!), and is located in a really great neighborhood (Kaimuki/Palolo Valley) in short driving distance to lots of amazing restaurants and not too far from Whole Foods and Kahala Mall. Important notes to consider: 1) The sewage pipes in the house are apparently pretty old, so you will be asked to not flush toilet paper down the toilet, but rather place it in the garbage. It takes some getting used to, but eventually you'll get the hang of it! 2) Her home is located on a VERY steep hill and her parking spot is very difficult to maneuver into, so street parking is highly advised. All in all, we had a very lovely stay with Marcia and look forward to staying in touch!

Decorated with beautiful art from world travels, you will feel peaceful and inspired in her rooms. There is a lovely wrap-around lanai to enjoy extraordinary views of Honolulu's diverse city and mountainous landscape. Everything is impeccably clean and spacious. And you will enjoy as much quiet and privacy as you like, as Marcia is respectful and intentional in all things. She also has incredible knowledge of outdoor activities and restaurants to make the most memorable experiences in O'ahu. I would recommend booking Marcia's guest room for a single or a couple in a heartbeat, and I look forward to referring friends and family when they come to visit. I am certain their experience will be as exceptional as mine, and being able to confidently refer someone you trust and enjoy makes all the difference in the time you have.

  Comments: I cannot even describe what an amazing time I spent at Marcia house ! I arrived to her place super tired, she welcomed me very warm and nicely. The house is very clean, light, beautiful, artistic, the vibration of amazing and good energy just come coome and coooome and you cannot do nothing with yourself , you just falling in love :) Marcia is very interesting, easy going person, flexible. We had few very good conversations, she can give you a lot of good advices what to do in Hawaii, Oahu. Where is better to buy stuff, when and where is better to go, compared to this is nothing if I talk about how amazing Marcia is, how nice she is and from the first minute I was feeling like its my home. I'm very happy that my first experience in Airbnb was with Marcia ! And for me now she is not the "host", she is my good friend and I would love to come back!!!! Also it was so nice when she invited me for yoga class, she gave me a ride few times and also helped me with my super heavy bags !!! The bed!   Comments: Place is nice and clean. Marcia is extremely nice and helpful. The neighbours are not the best. It could get very loud and noisy passed midnight on the weekend. Parking is a big challenge if you are not used to parking on a steep hill and you definitely need a 4 wheel drive. However there is parking on the street, which is what we did. And remember as soon as you enter the islands, roosters are everywhere. They make noise around the clock.

  Comments: Marcia was warm and welcoming to us. She talked with us whenever we were all at home hanging out in common areas, and even offered us a ride into town one Friday night! House was great, I personally loved the decor, it created very good and positive vibes for me. The deck was awesome, big and spacious with a great view. Sun shines on it every morning. The driveway is super steep and gets slippery when wet! That was the only thing I didn't enjoy coming home to haha. The bedroom I stayed in was perfect for us, with a ceiling fan that kept us cool. Kitchen was clean with lots of pots, pans, utensils and Tupperware that she shared with us.

  Comments: Marcia was absolutely lovely. Overall, she was kind, considerate, friendly, and provided great recommendations. Marcia will welcome you into her home and will quickly make you feel comfortable. She has mastered the delicate balancing act of hospitality and respecting your personal privacy. Her home is beautiful, clean, quiet, and in a great location to get to any other parts of the island (she has amazing views of the mountains from her kitchen and living room area as well as a view of Waikiki). Marcia is a photographer who works from home in the lower level of her house. It was not a big deal for me, but Marcia did ask that toilet paper be thrown into a wastebasket rather than flushed down the toilet. Guests have the option of parking up a steep driveway, however, I would recommend parking on the street (there is plenty of street parking available in the neighborhood and I was able to find parking spots close to Marcia’s home during the evening hours). Lastly, I would highly recommend eating at Sprout Sandwich Shop and Town Restaurant.

  Comments: We found Marcia's Appartement exactly as it was described: Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood (~10 min drive to Waikiki/Honolulu), nice lanai with incredible view on mountains and Honolulu, everything was clean and tidy! Marcia gave us helpful recommendations for what to do and where to go and we enjoyed living with her. It was always a relaxed atmosphere. We parked our car on street and had no issues finding a spot close to the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place for anyone visiting O'ahu! Thank you Marcia!!

  Comments: Marcia's place is very quiet! This is what drew me to her place. Waikiki is very close and there are so many places to eat nearby that you might not even want to eat downtown where the prices are more expensive. She waives her cleaning fee because she requires guests to clean up after using the kitchen, bathroom, and throwing toilet paper in the trash and not the toilet, but it is a small demand to ask for since most people should be cleaning up after themselves (perhaps not the toilet paper thing). Marcia has lots of knowledge of the local area and directed me to some wonderful areas I may have skipped. I would stay with her again!

  Comments: I really enjoyed my stay at Marcia's place. The photos are an accurate representation of the rooms and overall living environment. I especially loved the bathtub because it was updated, clean, and modern. As others have mentioned, Marcia's place is about a 10 min drive away from Waikiki, and there is a steep hill to climb up to get to the main house (nothing unmanageable or unbearable.) I got to briefly meet Marcia because a personal and emergency situation had come up, so it was a bummer that I couldn't spend more time getting to know her after reading all the wonderful reviews. But she is a very lovely woman and knows her island. A designated contact had taken care of my check-in, and he was very responsive and accessible. Overall, a wonderful stay and a great value. Hope to reconnect with Marcia again in the future! OH YEA -- Marcia introduced to me to a coffee shop near her house. I almost skipped this shop, but SO GLAD I decided to give it a chance on my last day! BEST ICED COFFEE EVER. Make sure you don't miss out!

Ich konnte die gesamte Einrichtung mitbenutzen und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch ist die Ortschaft absolut empfehlenswert, sofern man ein Auto hat. Reise mit ÖVs wäre möglich, aber man verliert zu viel Zeit. Marcia ist supernett und hilfsbereit. Ich war wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt.

  Comments: This is the best stay at an Airbnb ever so far! Marcia's place is super clean, modern and stylish. The room is big enough, you have enough space to put your own stuff. The bed is very comfortable, all the sheets smell so nice, you can sleep like a baby just like sleep at home. The place is in a hill, if you have a car, would be perfect. But even if you cannot drive just like me, you still could take the bus to go anywhere easily, since the bus stop is just 3mins walk from the door. Marcia is a super nice lady, she is beautiful, kind, active and intercultural. It's very nice to have conversations with this kind of international person! She is very helpful as well, can give you advice about where to go, what to do, also help you out when you need something, such like a beach towel and etc.. I very recommend to stay at Marcia's place when you visit Waikiki, you are gonna like the place and her! And I will stay again for sure when I visit next time! Thanks Marcia, to have me!   Comments: Learn the #9 and 9S bus routes. I often walked to Waikiki, but those buses will get you there much faster. Actually, they're essential for making it back up the hill. The 9 will even get you one bus stop away from the airport.

Nice fresh breeze inside the house, always feels fresh. She is a great host, loved chatting with her. Every night we discussed our day, shared experiences and planned for the next day. Marcia was a great help with exploring places. About the kitchen, Marcia provides all the kitchen utensils and storage boxes too, enough space in the refrigerator. Marcia has some beach stuff too which we used. Parking is available at the place which is a bit difficult because of the slope but you can easily find one on the street too.

  Comments: Marcia's home is simply wonderful. The location is so beautiful. Most mornings, I would walk on to the front deck with my breakfast and see a beautiful rainbow. The cool breeze from the lush green misty hills is a perfect way to start the day. Marcia keeps a clean home and is extremely hospitable. I immensely enjoyed the intellectual conversations over a glass of wine with her on several evenings. My next trip to O'ahu will be planned around the availability of Marcia's home.
