  Comments: I stayed here for almost 2 months during this summer. This is an spacious and bright apartment, well communicated with A/B/C/D lines, West 125st Stop is less than 10 minutes walk distance, West 116 st is even closer, and Central Park only a few blocks away. There's a pretty big supermarket less than a block away, also 24h pharmacy, Starbucks, restaurants... West Harlem is a pretty quiet and very residential neighborhood, people is nice and distance to downtown definitely a plus. Kev and I were almost all the time working, but when we met at home we had good times chatting, he's a great person, fun, and did everything to make my stay comfortable and to make me feel home. Highly recommended.

  Comments: Kev was kind, responsive and helpful, the place is really nice and as advertised. The neighbourhood is safe and the apartment is only minutes walk from the subway. The only downside really is that there is no elevator but it's a second floor so it's not too bad. Ultimately Kev is very respectful, left us plenty of privacy and most of the times we had the place to ourselves.

  Comments: A+++ stay in this completely renovated and most comfortable two bedroom, one bathroom apartment. Kevin provided exceptional communication prior to and throughout our stay. The area is super safe. The beautification of the upper west side of Harlem is incredible based on how I remember it back in 1989. The building is secure and we were wondering if anyone lived in the building because it was always very quiet. People are super friendly and restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping are within walking distance. My family members live in small studios or one bedroom apartments in NYC so finding this AIRBNB rental was such a blessing to us as a family. We were able to meet up at the apartment to spend time together as a family. The apartment is equipped with everything you'll need to feel like your at home. The strain is within walking distance and catching a taxi is simple. There is a park not far from the apartment if you want to picnic or BBQ. We can write a book about our A+++ experience. Thank you, Kevin!! We will definitely be back.

  Comments: This place is exactly as pictured, spacious and spotlessly clean; and a cool and comfortable respite from the hot streets of NYC (we visited on a blistering hot day). Kev was very accommodating about coordinating the time for key pickup with us. Bathroom and kitchen are fully updated and also spotless. Just the place we needed for an overnight stay, and perfect if you have friends or family at Columbia U--which is just a quick walk from the apartment.

  Comments: Our trip started as a nightmare : 6hours of flight delays , lost luggage... And our sunshine was called Kev ! He waited for us, and helped us in all our procedures by calling the airline, carrier, ... and keeping us informed . He was kindness a lot. The apartment is entirely consistent with the description. The place is quiet. Convenient because 5 minutes from the subway. Many shops and restaurants around. Well equipped kitchen. Bathroom with all the necessary products. Spacious, and very well equipped. If you are going to New York, it's a great place and a good adress ! Highly recommended !

  Comments: This is a great apartment. It's in a perfect location to access the express trains and in a lively location in Harlem. The apartment is outfitted with almost everything one can think of including a French press, a Bluetooth speaker, etc. Each room has a separate air conditioner. It's clean and safe. The apartment is a 3rd floor walkup, so keep that in mind if you have access issues or lots of luggage. We had a great stay. Thanks Kev.

  Comments: We stayed in Kevin's place with 4 adults and a baby for one week. We liked the location, it was so quiet at night and we felt safe. We were especially thankful for the comfy pull out couch in the living room and for the washer/dryer for baby clothes. The apartment was perfect for what we needed and we would definitely stay there again. It is around the corner from a great grocery store, and from the 116th subway station. Thank you Kevin for setting us up for an adventure in Harlem! We highly recommend the chicken and waffles, and the sweet potato pie at Amy Ruth's in Harlem!

  Comments: My wife and daughter visited NYC and stayed at Kev's place and it was as described. It was close to the MTA station and had room for my 1 year old's crib and a separate room for us to stay in.   Comments: Good experience. We texted from the airport, and Kevin met us in front of the condo. He allowed us to drop our bags off earlier than the official check in time, which was great. The condo was spacious and the building was very quiet -- not once did we hear any neighbors. I'm a light sleeper, and the layout/structure of the condo was great with respect to that -- my son stayed up later than me, and I never heard him in the kitchen, bathroom, or living area (i.e., didn't hear the shower running, toilet flushing, etc.).

  Comments: We have stayed for 5 days in Kev's apartment. It is a great place, safe environment, good supermarket, coffee and subway station only 1 block away. Central park is close and it takes aprox 15 min to Times Square with the subway. The apartment is clean, great bed en soft sheets ;-) Good wifi, big TV and good equipment in the kitchen If you use the sofa it is suitable for 4 persons. I can definitely recommend this place

  Comments: Bel appartement grand, bien arrangé, meublé avec goût et confortable. Il est proche d'une station de métro et de Central Park. L'équipement est complet, de qualité et pratique et convient bien à quatre personnes (peut être un peu juste pour plus). On trouve de nombreux commerces dont un petit supermarché très bien achalandé à 1 bloc. L'appartement donnant sur une avenue, il est un peu bruyant (mais New-York est une ville bruyante). L'accès au centre de Manhattan se fait en une petite demi-heure en métro (il y a aussi des bus qui permettent d'aller sur EastSide). Kev répond très vite aux questions et est très réactif et efficace quand il y a un souci (mineur dans notre cas).

  Comments: We where a hour late but that was no problem with Kev. He welcomed us and explained everything very well. Kev is very helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome. The apartment is very spacious and clean. There are two bedrooms which was perfect so we both had our own bedroom. The bedroom both have a two person bed and airconditioning which was more then plenty. The living room is rather large with a big tv and a large couch and even a diner table. The kitchen is connected to the living room and has dishwasher and an washer/dryer. It's very clean and has everything you could possibly need. The bathroom is average by size but has a bath, toilet, sink and a good shower in the bath. The neighborhood is great! The apartment is located at the bottom of Harlem on a quiet and characterful street with a Metro station around the corner. Harlem is a great place to eat, especially chicken. And there are loads of good restaurants in this neighborhood. Overal, a good apartment and host located in a great neighborhood.

  Comments: Well...he really didn't make us feel welcome! It was kinda of an awkward situation...maybe because we didn't arrive at 4:30p as we mentioned running late due to train connections, this should not have mattered though unless there was some place you needed to be, also I asked about check-out time and was told it was flexible...we had to ask questions on where we could grocery shop, coffee house, restaurant for dinner, etc. There was no book on what to do or see in the neighborhood, no directions to the subway, or using the condo appliances, etc. The bathroom and kitchen trash cans had not been emptied from the last guests, the refrigerator wasn't wiped cleaned of something that split, there was left over expired food in the refrigerator. It looked like the place hadn't been dusted in awhile. Also, this was extremely gross, the shower curtain was all mildewed!!!! These liners cost $2.00 if that and it's an easy fix! Also, mildew in the corners of the shower as well. I would imagine if you would like clients to return or spread word of mouth how great the place was, wouldn't you think that you would do a better job of the cleaning and up keep of your place? I asked about check-out time and was told no set time, so my son and I go into the city to return by 3:35p, and I mentioned this to Kev to be told well, I need to be in there between 2:30-3:00p to clean because the next guest arrive at 4pm!!!!! Yikes....had we known in advance than we would have planned our day differently! When we arrived back at the condo to retrieve our luggage, he was walking in with the next guests..the guest were more polite than Kev was, he wouldn't look at us or even acknowledge that we were there, didn't ask how our stay was...nothing! The new guests asked how our stay was and my son and I said great, you will like the neighborhood and they asked if we were taking off I said yes, we needed to catch our (Website hidden by Airbnb) which Kev upon walking by me had some comment to make just loud enough for me to hear!!! And it wasn't a nice comment either! So...whom ever sees this review I hope that you will take to heart what was said above and take action! I would consider staying again or recommending this condo, but I really have my doubts now.

  Comments: Nous avons passés un excellent séjour dans l'appartement de Kevin. Il est dans un quartier calme, idéalement situé à proximité de restaurants, supérette (Best Market), pharmacie et surtout à moins de 500 m du métro. L'appartement est fidèle à la description donnée, vous trouverez tout ce qu'il vous faut (même un sèche cheveux!) et cerise sur le gâteau, le lit est d'un confort exceptionnel!! Encore un grand merci à Kev pour son accueil et sa patience malgré notre arrivée très tardive à plus de minuit. Nous recommandons fortement cet appartement.

  Comments: Great place to stay- I was attending a conference at Columbia the location was perfect an easy 10 minute walk. I didn't realize the second bedroom didn't have a bed in it (my fault for not reading closely) but the couch in the living room folds out into a very comfy bed.

  Comments: Kevin was very helpful in getting us into the place despite our changing schedule due to car issues. The condo is tastefully appointed with thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay very comfortable. Furthermore, whenever we had a question, Kevin got back to us pronto. Easy walks to Best Market Harlem (large grocery) and Metro. Our only caveat is to mention loud street music on the weekends that thankfully shut off around 9PM. If you play music or turn up the TV, it can be pretty much ignored. Kevin also made some wonderful suggestions for local eateries. All in all great "nesting" spot to stay while visiting NYC.

  Comments: Alles was perfect zoals de beschrijving een mooi ruim appartement met mooie keuken en kleine badkamer . Airco op de kamers was meer dan welkom bij dit warme weer. Kev was aanwezig bij aankomst en goed bereikbaar via sms . Er waren voldoende propere lakens en handdoeken aanwezig. Ik zou dit appartement zeker aanraden aan mijn vrienden. Er is een goede supermarkt juist om de hoek en op 5 min ben je aan de metro dus eigenlijk ideaal gelegen om alles te bezoeken. Bij het uitchecken was Kev niet aanwezig, omdat er mensen op het laatste moment hadden afgezegd en mochten we gewoon de sleutels achterlaten en blijven tot we terug vertrokken.   Comments: Our plane arrived late but Kev was very communicative and we had no problems. We picked up the key from a KeyCaffe. Kev made sure we arrived well and provided us with all the necessary instructions. The place is situated in a quite zone, close to Central Park.   Comments: Die Wohnung entspricht genau der Beschreibung und ist auf den Bildern gut dargestellt. Es ist ausreichend Platz für mehrere Personen mit einem großen Bett (sehr weich!), großem Schlafsofa und einer Luftmatratze. Für uns hätte es etwas sauberer sein können, wir haben allerdings einen sehr hohen Sauberkeitsstandard. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt! Die Lage ist fantastisch, nah an der Ubahn mit super Anschluss zur Innenstadt in einer richtigen Wohngegend, wo man wenig Touristen sieht. Der nahegelegende Park ist toll und es gibt einen großen Supermarkt in direkter Umgebung, ausserdem tolle Weinläden und viele Lokale. Wer gerne läuft kann die Innenstadt Manhattans sogar zu Fuß erreichen, indem man den gesamten Central Park abläuft (ca. 1.5 h, aber lohnenswert!). Die Kommunikation mit Kev war unkompliziert, er hat immer schnell reagiert und uns bei der Ankunft alles gezeigt. Insgesamt kann ich die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen! Vor allem für Leute die gern nah am Geschehen sind ohne mitten drin im Trubel zu sein ist das eine ideale Unterkunft. Wir haben uns schon nach kürzester Zeit richtig 'zu Hause' in 'unserm' Viertel gefühlt.

  Comments: This has been one of my favorite AirBnB stays to date. Kev wasn't lying when he quoted the proximity of the subway in either direction. Also, I've stayed in some spots that have quoted certain amenities, but did not follow through. (i.e. running hot water, wifi, working washer/dryer, etc.) This put all those to shame. The apartment is beautifully heated and insulated. I found myself removing covers when it was only 38 degrees outside. Half the time I didn't realize I had fallen asleep due to the comfort of the bed. The entire apartment is well lit and the water in both kitchen and bathroom heats and cools within seconds. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my stay here. It was nice to stay in an area that was just far enough away from any tourist traps, but still had extremely easy access to all the events and places I wanted to attend. I would stay here again for sure and I rate this apartment 5 stars! Thanks again!

  Comments: Kev is s very welcoming and friendly host. Easy to work with. The flat is nice, bright and overall clean. The location is good. Close to subway. The only thing that was slightly disappointing is that it's a 1 bed room (not 2) flat. The second bedroom had no proper bed. There was a a air mattress rolled up in one corner. So basically one of us had to sleep on the sofa. We didn't mind to much, but we expected 2 rooms. So unless you really want a 2 bedroom flat, this is a nice spot !

  Comments: The accomodation was just as descriped. It´s a light and spacious condo which covered all our needs during our stay. Both sleepingrooms have windows to the backyard (which was important to me) and it was quiet for sleeping. We appriciated the closeness to Colombia University as well as to public transport and Central park. The neigbourhood felt safe and we could find restaurants and groceries nearby. The communication with Kev was very good. He was very kind and helpsom as our flight was cancelled due to snowy weather and we came with one day delay. Kev was so great not charging the first night we couldn´t make. Thank you again for that. We really enjoyed our stay at Kev´s and can reccommend this appartment.

  Comments: We stayed three nights at Kev's place with our two small kids (ages 3 and 1). It worked out well for us: we put the kids in the two bedrooms so that we could use the rest of the place (living room, kitchen, and bathroom) after they went to bed. The bed in the main bedroom is quite comfortable, and the fold-out bed in the living room is decent. The air mattress is an air mattress, but our 3-year-old was fine with it :) Kev's place exactly matches his description and photos. It's pretty spacious for Manhattan, with great light coming in through the 4 large windows in the living room. Apart from the furniture it's fairly bare-bones: you've got all the essentials in the kitchen and bathroom, but not much else (no tissues, for example), so it doesn't feel as much like a "home" as some other places we've stayed. But we had everything we needed and enjoyed eating in for dinner as a family. It was a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay for three days. The neighborhood is great: tons of great shops/restaurants all around you, and a quick walk to the subway, Morningside Park (including multiple great playgrounds for the kids), and Central Park. The street has moderate noise from buses, trucks, and the occasional siren, but it's pretty muffled in the bedrooms. We had our car with us and had good luck finding parking on the surrounding side streets. Kev was communicative and check-in/check-out were smooth.

It has great access to bus and subways, and is even reasonably walkable to the museums on the UES and UWS. Kev's apartment was exactly as presented and perfect for a weekend trip. It is very comfortable and large for New York standers and looks like it has been renovated recently. The apartment is very spacious, can easily host 4 people, and probably a few more. Clean and comfortable. I didnt get to meet Kev, but communication was smooth. The key could be picked up from a dropbox around the corner. Neighborhood is fine, although at night I preferred a cab over a walk.

Very quiet street and was able to find on street parking fairly easily for all 3 nights (street cleaning rules require you to move it every couple of days). Two subway lines located within a few blocks. Quiet neighborhood, but neighbors hanging out on the stoops give it a nice and safe vibe. Check out 116th street around the corner and all the African restaurants and stores! Would definitely stay at Kevin's again.

He was very gracious and even allowed me to drop off my bags early and officially check in later. On the first night, which was quite cold, I experienced a notorious New York loss of heat. I alerted him in the morning and he came to help and determined the cause was a building wide boiler shutdown. He was very attentive to the issue and purchased space heaters for a temporary solution. The apartment was in a convenient location for upper west side locales and close to subway stations and bus lines. It is a short walk to the cathedral and Central Park and many good restaurants and shops There was plenty of space for 2 or more guests with 2 bedrooms and a pullout sofa in the living room. It had a decent sized kitchen for cooking meals if one chose to. The only down side is it is on the third floor of a brownstone (without an elevator) so I would take that into consideration when booking if not traveling light or one has an inability to climb stairs. All in all, it was a good experience and I would stay there again.
